1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Paper Money Revolution on: June 22, 2022, 10:15:02 AM
The case of Singapore money flower is looking like a perfect gift for any occasion. It is like a decorated flower with a multi-variant usage. The paper money might some day become scares and might move into extinction with the digital CBDC replacing the old fashioned way of monetary transactions but it might take longer time to become a reality especially in developing and under developed regions.

The believe that Bitcoin will someday kill paper money is just an illusion that will only stir false hopes and perceptions. The world is going digital and same is transaction. This has triggered CDBCs that can be a powerful tool to help fight inflation, double spending, money laundering if well managed
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 21, 2022, 10:10:42 PM
It seem the management of Paris Saint-Germain F.C. are impatient and desperately want to lift the Champions League. Mauricio Pochettino is not a bad coach in fact his performance was outstanding but the club is not patient to stick to the Argentine. That was how they sacked Thomas Tuchel and he went to Chelsea and won the Champions league. Christophe Galtier is not a bad coach considering his teams performance last season. The 55-year-old took Nice to fifth place and they played quality football. But I don't think Galtier is a better coach than Pochettino. PSG would just keep gambling until they find a coach that would deliver the Champions League. I would not also be surprise if Pochettino wins the Champions league in his future club.

I don't have respect for PSG management anymore. They could have done a lot of things and instead, they went for the dirty way. They have tried to win the Champions League for so long and they are unable to do that even though they have the best squad in the world. They obviously have the best attack in the world and they basically couldn't do anything with it. I would really like to see them winning the Champions League, to be honest, but somehow I really know that it is not going to happen.
Mauricio Pochettino can succeed in winning this champions league with PSG next season as compared to Christophe Galtier. Desperation is a big distraction and this is the line the PSG management has chosen to trade on. There are lots of compromise in the squad already taking Mbappe's privileges for example. I don't see PSG win the Champions league anytime soon in the future not because the lack the team no but because the lack the co-ordination to win.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 21, 2022, 09:50:44 PM
Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?
Gamblers also spend their winnings on valuable things so the price also affect. Gambling might not seem to be an investment in the eyes of strict people and non-gamblers but in real sense it might be considered as one, although in a reserved context. But be what it may the price dump also affect them both the bettor and the house because as price keeps falling the value of their wins sinks with it.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 21, 2022, 09:43:52 PM
Adeyemi is also a very young and talented striker like Erling Haaland. But I don't think that he has a bigger potential than Haaland now. We will find out about it soon too after new season starts. One season doesn't prove everything of course but it would still give us some opinion. We will see what Haaland will do in a completely different league and under a different system too. The Premier League is much fiercer than the Bundesliga and Guardiola has a unique system to himself.

Haaland has already proved his mettle. Last season we saw his amazing gameplay. He is a very promising player. And with a good squad, he can probably play better. Adeyemi is certainly talented, but I don't think he will play better than Haaland. However, through hard work, maybe he will be able to become experienced.
I won't bother comparing both players. They are both good in their various clubs. Haaland changing league will be a good boast to his career because with Pep and his zealous boys Haaland will enjoy every bit of the season. Adeyemi is also talented i think he too will do better with more dedicated team mates. When experience gets involved with soccer it takes team mate to help shape out the talent into something more admirable
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 21, 2022, 09:32:28 PM

Currently, Ten Hag is in very early stage, so he is looking for some suitable players if he is able to bring these two then surely it's good success for him because he already manages them at Ajax and understand their mentality and skills which can help him and club Manchester United for future as many players already leave this club and rumor's working around for Ronaldo as well he is trying to go into Juventus which even it's not sure, but something can happen.

Ten Hag is in hurry for having good spot for Manchester Uniting in next season, but he needs to work with patience like we already watch Klopp at Liverpool he has done amazing job, and now it's paying good dividend for him and his club they are winning trophies regularly.

Actually, he needs to have patience and the same thing goes for the fans of Manchester United. We often say that the coach is not given enough time with the team. And eventually, there are no good results coming out of it. I am quite sure that if he is given enough time he will be able to bring good results. I say that because I really did not see the previous coaches of Manchester United in recent times be so proactive as Erik ten Hag.
I think Ten Hag shouldn't be so much in a hurry to get his squad too choked up. He needs to work with the current squad and understand where the limitations lies maybe have a few signing before the season begins, establish a tactics with his starting Xi while the fans and management wait patiently for him to deliver. I wish he won't be under any form of duress. Ronaldo's exit if it happens to be true will be a decision for Ten Hag to decide. If Ten Hag feels he doesn't need him to make his squad formidable then he can let him go. I believe Ten Hag has a working tactics on ground for next season
1146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: June 21, 2022, 09:12:32 PM
Because no one knows for sure, which price is the bottom and which is the top?
We can just buy at the price we expect to be the bottom and take profits at the price we expect to be the top.
No one wants to buy at the top and sell at the bottom, the act of buying and selling comes from your judgment and results in the best answer, not a right or wrong argument in the market.
When it comes to predicting Bitcoin price no one can accurately tell what direction the trend will hold to in the future the best that can be offered is mere speculation. From the few experience i have gathered from price fluctuation, following the trend will help tell where a perfect top and bottom price is. Following instinct without analysis is what is affecting trades. Knowing when to sell is another technique to be learnt. Bitcoin is not about buying the dips and selling high. It involves knowing when a dip and high is due.
1147  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 09:10:15 PM
Now I know how cash circulates into the crypto markets. I know fundamentals are the most important part of a project. I again could do mistakes in the next bull season but I will be more mature than to handle the situation. I do take some losses but the lesson it gave me would save a hell lot of money in the future.
Fundamental analysis can't be neglected in any project. The same way you shouldn't wait for the next bull run to take profit. The market is still profitable in the bear. Losses makes traders wiser and smarter and the lesson it teaches never ends. I think you weren't prepared enough for the market. You took advantage of the bull season and it made a cool pay off. Now the trend is reversed you got lost. Take some cool time and revisit your analysis
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone tell me what this means? on: June 20, 2022, 08:55:15 PM
I think it is simply rephrasing the first statement. in the first statement " Bitcoin is decentralized enough to never be broken or sued" is clear enough to state that bitcoin is beyond the centralized monetary system and in the second statement "but does not have the perfect decentralization that would degrade system design qualities.” which tells us that despite Bitcoin not having a central authority the decentralized nature of Bitcoin is strong enough to resist been broken or sued
1149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: crippling losses on: June 20, 2022, 08:32:12 PM
How can crippling losses be avoided?
Embrace your losses mate and improve on your analysis and trading tools. The truth remains losses are unavoidable but they can be reduced by ensuring you follow the trend.

Look out for good entry points and never be in a hurry to join a trend. You should be able to comfortably answer some technical questions like:
  • Is the trade worth joining
  • How much are you expecting to gain from the trade
  • How much are you willing to lose
  • When to exit the trade
All i listed might not avoid losses completely but it will help checkmate the loss to reduce it to it's minimal
1150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: June 17, 2022, 03:08:52 PM
I will advice buyers to hold on a little more the price might still further because the chat is forming series of higher lows and lower highs with no picture of correction any time soon. For me i am waiting patiently for a fall below $15k to take my entry point unless there is a new bullish trend before i result to plan B of buying when the new trend is fully formed.

1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 17, 2022, 03:02:28 PM
The man is entirely at fault touching such huge amount of money that was mistakenly sent to him which he  didn't work for is where his offense started and he went as far as gambling the money without considering the families of the  436  people who were also affected by the pandemic is another act of inhumanity and selfishness. I think after retrieving the full money from him he should be made to serve some correctional act so it serves as lesson to him.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is a poor practice to recommend wallet without sharing main tips for newbies on: June 17, 2022, 02:51:24 PM
Either m/44'/0'/0'/0 for my legacy address and m/84'/0'/0'/0 for segwit

But the problem with Electrum wallet is that, it doesn't work like that, any seed phrase you generate to create a segwit address, you cannot use the same seed phrase to generate a legacy address, and it will be much work to have two seed phrase as storage.
Not automatically since as I said the goal is to make things easy for all users.
You can manually derive a key at m/44'/0'/0'/0 and use it for your SegWit address and another at m/12'/34'/5'/6 and use that for your legacy address. But you won't be able to recover this wallet automatically since the wallet can't guess these things. And if such feature were added, it would make things very complicated for newbies.
Since the wallets can't be recovered automatically is it best to have different seed phrase for both addresses? so as to avoid the complexity and the stress of manually entering this  address which as you pointed is not newbie friendly and the wallets too can't guess this process of manually derived keys for both addresses
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, not your coins" on: June 17, 2022, 02:10:29 PM
People don't realize that the fact of sending their bitcoins to a centralized service represents a risk. If we make a deposit on an exchange or a casino, at that moment the coins don't belong to us anymore. And if the service decides to lock your balance and keep the money they can do it without problems.
Decentralized casinos remains the best, secured with full privacy retention. Centralized exchanges are like the usual banking institutions that can decide the fate of your fiat currency and as a law abiding citizen you play by their rules. As a Bitcoin owner my private key is of great importance to me. I value my keys just the same way i value my coin and threat both equally

Quote
On the technical side, it would be easy for the exchanges to provide a deposit address and give to the customer the private keys, but if they do this then they would lose control of the coins, and we know they don't want that.
If exchanges give their customers their private key they too have a copy so in that case both parties own the Bitcoin and still have control over the funds. but can centralized exchanges be avoided completely?
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 17, 2022, 01:48:17 PM
According to my analysis,  Means chairman Richard Neal was a Democrat politician in a Federal showed concern for retiring employees though I'm not sure if I understand this correctly however, you are free to correct me just in case I am wrong. Retirees need to be careful to put their savings on cryptocurrency investors due to the lack of government regulation. And I think his request to the GAO to provide data to cryptocurrency employers so that it can be regulated where they are obliged to pay taxes to the government.

Neal concern for regulation of cryptocurrency investment is important for this retirees because the market is highly volatile and many might not understand the risk involved coupled with their advanced ages. Regulation of crypto in this context is important.

GAO requested data is to first get the type of employers who offers this crypto investment in tax-advanced accounts using 401(k) plan ( a company-sponsored retirement account that employees can contribute income, while employers may match contributions.) as instance and how the determine crypto valuations and fees, alongside safeguard easures related to those investments.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the UEFA Nations League a Glorified Friendlies? on: June 16, 2022, 08:27:13 PM
I am think the essence of the UEFA Nations league is to keep players busy ahead of the world cup. Kelvin De Bruyne might not get what he was expecting maybe not compared to what he is used to in the premier league. If it was possible he could opt out and get some rest while he waits for next season and the anticipated world cup. I just feel he is been careful to avoid injuries.
1156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is BTC Segwit address? on: June 16, 2022, 08:10:36 PM
Exactly! Segwit (bech32) was first introduced back in 2017 (if am not wrong) so it has been around for more than five years now. Given all its benefits, not only to users but to the Bitcoin network as a whole, it's better to avoid using any service/wallet which didn't upgrade their servers/codes to support it.
Some exchanges nowadays still don't support Segwit Bech32 address. Binance only supports it in December 2020. They are too late but at least they support it. Their announcement
Luno also place support for Bech32 address as well but are yet to implement them. the late adoption isn't bad though it shows support for low transaction fee by some exchange. But don't you think if more exchange especially centralized ones adopt Bech 32 and its upgraded version Bech 32m privacy bridge might occur because it will be hard to detect if a transaction was anonymous or not.

1157  Economy / Economics / Re: Apple wants to replace all passwords with biometrics on: June 16, 2022, 10:37:08 AM
Do we think biometrics is safer? Here is the thing for facial recognition and Biometrics it is easier to develop softwares that captures and save this two on devices using Ai. Typed Passwords might not be safe either but to some extent it is more secure and less expensive but for biometrics it is expensive and still open to counter technologies.

There are apple users who can comfortable secure their device for years with typed password and no one can hack into their device. Instead of a complicated technology it is better apple school their users on best security using password manager and authenticators approach and what a typical secured password should look like other than compound the technology and give hackers the opportunity to work on a counter technology for this facial recognition and biometrics

Android Biometrics for example is easy to break through with just a white cellotape  and white transparent masking papers then what guarantee is Apple giving that their will be more secure
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 16, 2022, 07:19:43 AM
At least I think Man City is one of the strongest candidates to play in the UCL final next season, regardless of winning or not, we are still waiting for who will be Man City's opponent. Haaland's arrival further strengthened the city's chances of being there.

Manchester City have been the favorites for the Champions League for the last few seasons. But they can't win the title. Their squad, coaches and gameplay are all good enough. But unfortunately they still failed to win the title. However, with Haaland in the squad this season, they have become even stronger. Maybe this season they will be able to form a team worthy of winning the Champions League title.
Haaland might and might not make any difference in the club quest for the champions league title. As City makes plans on making their team formidable so is other clubs like Barcelona going for Lewandoski and B. Silva too . I think even with Haaland in the team Madrid will still remain a threat to them in the champions league by next season .

If there is any where Haaland can cause threat to defense is in the premier league , the champions league is a different game, a different competition as well as a different spirit
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High odds or low odds, which do you prefer? on: June 16, 2022, 07:00:01 AM
Low odds seems safer for me especially when big teams play although surprises are part of the game but most of the times low odds tends to favor more. High odds seldomly guarantee wins. I increase my stakes on low odds and keep my greed appetite in check. This low odds isn't loss free but it is more safer than high odds with tempting ROI
1160  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino. What's the reliability of the technology? on: June 16, 2022, 06:48:58 AM
It differs between players based on their own experience as  most slots players won’t pay attention to RTP and still find massive success while playing while others sees RTP as a key criteria or factor the consider when choosing a particular slot game. With or without RTPs slot games are just game of chance no guarantee of any spin even with RTPs. This RTPs only provide history of slot games giving players clues of how the machine worked for players in the past
