1161  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 07, 2023, 07:48:58 PM
One of the major reasons why bitcoin Enthusiasts hold bitcoin is in anticipation of a price increase that would increase the value of their asset. However, holding your bitcoin requires a patience mixed with strong will. It is the patience to be patient for a long period of time until the price makes a 10%, 20% and so on increase. Strong will not to use it to solve some immediate problem and risk a reduction in your asset. Consequently, not everyone one can wait that is why some decide to learn bitcoin trading so that they can make some quick profit that would also increase their asset holding. Some other become bitcoin lenders. Yes, they use either a centralized or decentralized platform to lend their bitcoin which would be repaid with interest. What is your honest take on bitcoin lending? Too risky, won't try it? Too risky, will give it a try?
Lending is highly risky and you may lose all the money that you lend if they default and you can't do anything about it, to make it clear you can visit scam accusation board and find loan defaulter and some of them were highly reputed members of bitcointalk so it's unsecured loan with high interest rate. But it's not really a way to keep your patience level, if you can't hold when the prices are swinging then you need to work on yourself about managing your funds instead of giving it to someone else in the name of lending.
1162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding the Dynamics of growing in ranks in the forum on: June 07, 2023, 06:10:43 PM
To grow your rank you need merits and activity, the former is the harder because you need to earn it while the activity points will keep increasing as long as you're active here.

So how to get merits is the point you need to know and the most generic answer is "post quality posts", it can be a one liner or a detailed explanation about the topic which depends. You can also monitor the highest merit earners to get an idea how they are doing it.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deciding to save money in Bitcoins for the future of the child on: June 07, 2023, 04:12:45 PM

So basically you're depositing your money in a bank account and think it will grow in the next 10 or 15 years?

You should never keep more money in the Fiat form that you require for next 6 months incase if you lose your source of income completely and need to survive. And anything apart should go into investment which can be gold/stock/bitcoin/real estate or whatever that has potential to grow in the future.
If you keep money in your bank, your money won't be increasing, I can't even remember the last time Ieft money in my bank account for long time, the only money I keep in my bank account is the amount I will be needing in the next few hours or days, my money is always in bitcoin and Whenever am in need of money, I will sell the bitcoin and convert the money to fiat currency, then use it for any necessary thing I need it for at that moment.
This isn't right too because everytime when you need money you can get by selling it may cause little inconvenience along with delays, I expect you to have the money required for that month in your bank account so you can save time from selling everytime and fees due to moving from wallet to exchange then exchange to bank account.

1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should cryptocurrency be banned in a country with a population of 240 million? on: June 06, 2023, 07:09:05 PM
Don't forget China with a population of 1.5 billion people also banned the crypto currencies but we all know it can't stop the growth of Bitcoin in long term. So I don't think the current price fall is not even happening due to the statement from Pakistan it's mainly happening due to the high network fee for the past few weeks.

Bitcoin is going to be there even if every government says it's illegal and do you know how is it possible? Because it's decentralised and doesn't need permissions from government to exist.

1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 06, 2023, 01:36:06 PM
Too much of ignorance ended up in a very bad way I hope this is the final one to lose due to such kind of addiction. 22 year old is not that young so he should be the one who is responsible for all the things happened to him that is why we are adviced to be surrounded by one good friend over 100 bad friends.

I am not ready to read the entire story because it can cause mental break down on myself, I hope his soul will find peace and deep condolences to his family.
1167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Danger of posting your bitcoin address online on: June 06, 2023, 11:38:55 AM
It will not cause any danger unless you also exposes the private keys but it definitely a concern for privacy, and anyone can track all the transactions and balance and if someone you know personally know about these then it's definitely a big problem. So don't ever expose even the address for any reason so that your privacy won't be compromised at all.
As much as possible, keep them private and stay away from online exposure. It will not make you less of an investor if you keep it to yourself and only yourself knows it exactly. Sharing bitcoin address online may not trigger your bitcoin account but maybe for some crypto experts, they might find a lead to access your account.
No one can access the cryptocurrency in a wallet by simply knowing its wallet address and if it was possible then the wallets with thousands of bitcoins will be vanished so its not a direct threat to our assets but the danger may come in other form like if someone track down our personal information with the wallets connected via KYC can bring physical dangers.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating unemployed friends about Bitcoin on: June 04, 2023, 01:52:07 PM
Snip~
Buy low, sell high; you people are missing the point. Bitcoin doesn't come out of the sky, nor is it that easy for someone to get started. I've been here for quite a few years, and I'm far from becoming rich or wealthy. Bitcoin requires capital, and the OP is mentioning that his friend is unemployed. As a result, he doesn't have any kind of income flowing in and relies on his savings. Thus, it'd be reckless to claim that Bitcoin could assist him in this case—perhaps after he finds a job, but currently definitely not. Bitcoin's volatility isn't helping in this case because it could lead to a loss of funds, which the OP's friend is actively using due to his situation.

Doing trading should not be their only option at this stage, as I said it's very convenient to do as part time job with little physical effort so at the situation of nothing to lose I can suggest it but becoming successful with it depends on every individuals skill levels. I have been in that situation and I did trading as one of my job at the time of recovery that is why I suggested it.

Maybe I am calm and focused about financial goals with some luck factor too but it depends anyway.
1169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: doing extra effort will help a lot on: June 03, 2023, 07:34:06 PM
If it's not working for you then you're doing something wrong which needs to be addressed and rectified, I don't know what you mean that its not working but I assume its about making money so not all the investments will end in positive way and if you feel like something is not working then make the right thing and it will work.

Just keep pushing will not get you any improvement but also may end in bad way like you may lose more money for example chasing the loss while gambling.
1170  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Introducing Echangere a brand new Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Cryptocurrency Marketplace on: June 03, 2023, 05:42:13 PM
Impressions:

1. Only 2 payment modes available and one is available in only 2 country and another one is PayPal.
2. KYC requirements, not very clear about the different levels.
3. No liquidity at all.

I appreciate your efforts to make it happen but the things is getting more tougher, earlier this year the two big centralized p2p were shut their operations one after another because of the availability of p2p in the exchanges itself. So if you really want to make it to next level then you need liquidity which comes only if people starts using it so what you have in your mind to bring people to use your site.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: For average Joe advice about money finances and Investment on: June 03, 2023, 03:59:01 PM
Average Joe may not have any idea about the concept of investment, all the go for savings which is eventually a stupid thing to do beyond some point cause the purchasing power of money will always decrease due to inflation so first they need to know what is investment. And nothing comes without the efforts and knowledge so if they want to invest they need to know what they are about to invest or else they will lose their money to scammers and that's how the scammers are still looting money from average Joe.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: June 02, 2023, 08:10:31 PM
Nah! It doesn't work in that way because how can you master in slots or dice or crash game or any casino games?

So you can practice the management to improve it but you can never be able to make a winning strategy. So those points are actually the process involved in safe gambling so it's kind of being responsible strategy.
1173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NEWBIES: A good way to start-up with crypto. on: June 02, 2023, 06:12:10 PM
No one can learn from others' experiences, go experience it yourself and write your own journey. Do not copy. Do not emphasis someone's learning in your life.
Not everyone's life is the same, and so does the experiences.

Go try out everything you need in Cryptoverse and once you start making mistakes, you will understand that you are growing.
Because the one who does not do mistakes, never learns.
We certainly can learn from others experience if we are smart enough, I don't really want to risk everything on my own so I will look for the review, feedbacks from the others who already experienced it. And that is why we have forum like platforms where everyone share their information which might be helpful for someone else.

But we can't understand everything without trying it on our own so we need to be smart as well as cautious when it comes to money.

1175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 02, 2023, 04:07:05 PM

_ Don't risk too much money, start with what you can afford to risk. Focus on the risk not rewards.

This is why we need to understand the process something called risk: reward ratio.

You can't always focus on the risk part and if you do you can't never make money, sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and that's the reality of trading profession but minimising the loss with stop loss can save you from sudden loss like 30% price fall over short time period.
1176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: June 01, 2023, 08:03:37 PM
No.

But if you're planning to become a trader then acquiring knowledge about it can be helpful in case if you need. To learn this you can just start with YouTube and practice what you saw in demo trading accounts and if increases your consistency then just keep learning and become a master at it.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC transaction confirmed but the amount havent changed on: June 01, 2023, 05:18:13 PM
I tried with VPN, re-installing the wallet, other internet connections and nothing.
Now I switched to Electrum and I always keep the device turned off, I only turn it on if I need to get my BTCs out of this wallet (Offline yet)
You're keeping it offline for what? To be safe from malwares?

You can also create watch only wallet so you no need to access the wallet or use the blockchain explorers, simply it works like a wallet except you can access the funds via watch only mode.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: June 01, 2023, 03:29:58 PM
VR isn't new and to my best of knowledge it exists even before a decade so it's kind of old and the modern version of VR is the metaverse which might bring a change to the whole online community not just only the gambling industry and AI can be adopted as well so whatever the technology arrives and if the business demands it then just adapt it. AI gambling doesn't sound good to me so I'll go with VR or anything better than it.
1179  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any exchanges that are sweeping unconfirmed funds with CPFP?? on: June 01, 2023, 02:16:26 PM
First of all no exchange will pay from their pocket to make your transaction to be confirmed, and never expect that to happen in the future either.

Using LN maybe a choice but its not going to be simple pie for everyone and not every wallet support LN channel so if some of them are using wallet that doesn't support LN they need to switch to another wallet that support it and it's a lot of work to do.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcoin is Future? How I'm invest and earn from it on: May 31, 2023, 03:33:43 PM
Bitcointalk is a community forum that focuses on Bitcoin/crypto. You simply use Bitcointalk if you're interested in talking about Bitcoin/crypto — that's pretty much it. The same reason how you might join a photography social media group if you're really interested in photography.
Well explained Great I'm very much interested in Bitcoin Crypto and start my learning in bitcointalk I thing its a great platform for solving problems and investing in Bitcoin. I hope I will learn it very easily and also start my earning by trading in bitcoin. Thanks
