1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: August 17, 2017, 04:27:15 AM
Well bitcoin and alt coin is not too famous in my country so there are no company that is going to ask you about crypto currency, bitcoin can be a good source of income, but it can only act as side job, for living you need a stable job with stable income

Bitcoin can be a good source of income especially if you have a large capital and do trading and its good for extra income too if you have some skills that can cater to those people who need someone to do something for them but to have it as the main source of income is still not preferable because even the bitcoin price as well is not stable. It's good that they have income whilst unemployed but a stable job is still an advantage because of the benefits they can get from it especially that according to OP, his sister is already married.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mainstream Feels on: August 17, 2017, 03:30:23 AM
Just within the same months last year. I cant hardly seen filipinos talking about btc because we already know that during that time btc is just widely known somewhere in the east but i was shock right now because in the office people do talks about it alot right now. I can really feel the essence of bitcoin hype. Are having the same situation now compared to before in your respective places?

It's because of the bitcoin price that has got the attention of the people especially those big players in the market like wall street. Bitcoin is in front page of wall street journal making people more convinced to check and researched more about cryptocurrency. Last year maybe they already heard about it but thought that its just a fad because the price is not that significant yet but now when they see the price thrice the price of an ounce of gold then that made them more convinced to take a look. More people are talking about it now than a year ago in my place as well.

1184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sucks, I'll just hold my coins on: August 16, 2017, 03:37:03 AM
Yes, it is! Trading is really unpredictable! I am so much disappointed with my trading decision as of this time. Really did not expect that coins will go deeply to the lowest point. Need to wait patiently. Hope to finally get my luckiest time in trading.

Well emotions do really play a big role in trading. I lose a significant amount as well before because when the trade doesn't go my way, I would just think that price will not go up again and sell at a lose and after some time, price will go up again. I learned my lesson the hard way and now I have a trading plan beforehand to prepare for the battle in trading. Patience and knowledge is the key.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: August 16, 2017, 02:40:25 AM
I know that there are lessons in every situation in the world,  and with gambling,  one of the lessons you can learn from it is not to put all your egas in one basket which means thathat they don't gamble all your money. Gambling also makes people consistent in things that they do.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket also applies to savings and investment as well. In life, there is always lesson especially if you face a difficult situation and then learn to get out of it. I think you learn how to control your emotion especially those veteran in gambling because if you are playing with someone face to face (not online), you should have a poker face so that others will not be able to determine whats your next move.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Siacoin long? on: August 16, 2017, 01:53:17 AM
Release of Sia Lite wallet 8 days from now may affect the price of Sia in the coming days. If this news will spread in the crypto enthusiast's followers, the price will probably shoot up. I'll grab some coins now while price is still low.

1188  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: August 14, 2017, 12:59:26 AM
Indeed, we're still on the beginning of bitcoin development as maybe less than 0.1% world population that (only) know about bitcoin and even less who really have and use bitcoin. Imagine if more adopters, retailers, business, and more companies realize this better monetary system than centralized fiat currency, then it's not wrong if many people predict bitcoin could reach over $20,000 after halving in 2020.

I am glad that I know the existence of bitcoin because the price of it is not that high yet when we compare it to the price that the investors are expecting after a few years. It's slowly getting the attention of the investors even those that are trading in wall street and because of the conflicting situations of some countries now, people are taking refuge in converting some of their asset to bitcoin to diversify the risk. With the increasing demand and limited supply then the price would surely go up.
1189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming Global Financial Collapse and following World War 3 driving up Bitcoin? on: August 14, 2017, 12:28:19 AM
It is one of the factors I think that drives up the value of bitcoin for now because as there is a conflict between countries nowadays, some of the people would find ways to secure their future so storing it through bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is a safe haven for them. They would want to diversify their risk should there be any fortuitous event that will happen.
1190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 13, 2017, 02:27:47 AM
It's still not too late to buy bitcoin because bitcoin is still not that known so if in time there is a mass adoption then the bitcoin price will continue to increase because of the demand. Its price is already at $4,000+ now and maybe it will go down for a while for a correction but after that it will continue to rise again. The big whales are coming in shifting some of their wealth from precious metals to bitcoin since price of bitcoin is thrice the price of an ounce of gold nowadays so demand is increasing thus increase in price as well.
1191  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 12, 2017, 02:41:05 AM
You should focus on both, if you lose your job and Bitcoin doesn't do very well you will be in trouble.

If you can focus with both job and bitcoin it's a better choice. But if you are seeing more growth in bitcoin then you have to sacrifice your job if you think the progress of your career isn't that good there. Taking the risk is always up to the person if he wants to take it and sees a positive result.

Having a back up plan would be favorable since you will have an option in case one of your source of income will not provide enough for you. We should always have multiple source of income if we wanted to achieve our goals and dreams because we don't know what the future will be. If you earn enough in bitcoin that you can let go of your job then do it if your job just take up too much of your time and let you be stressed from time to time but make sure that you can still pay your bills in case you do it like before quitting, make sure that you already have another source of income aside from bitcoin maybe a small business perhaps because bitcoin is also unpredictable.
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: August 12, 2017, 02:15:05 AM
Hello everybody.

I would like to invest some money in bitcoin, I don't use that money and I don't need it for the next 2/3 years.
I thought I found in bitcoin the perfect way to invest. BUT when I see the fees applied I don't see how the bitcoin will become mainstream! The fees are around 1mBTC which is approximatively 3$. Therefore what is the point of bitcoin?

The only thing I see : big amount transaction

But bitcoin won't be the money you use to buy your sandwich with those fees!

I saw a post saying: yeah burger king is willing to accept bitcoin in russia. Hopefully mcdonald will follow ! But why would someone pay 3$ fee therefore a third of his burger king menu in fee?

Will segwit may lower the fees?

Thank you Smiley

As what you said, you don't need the money for next 2 to 3 years so it will be a good investment for you. Bitcoin may not be good for a day to day transaction nowadays because of the high fees and it would only be an advantage if you transact with it with higher amount for the fees not to have a major effect in the transaction. Bitcoin's value is continually increasing so maybe your investment today will be 2 - 5 times in value in the next 2 to three years.
1193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How strong is Bitcoin compared to others cyptocurrency? on: August 11, 2017, 01:51:30 AM
Hi Everyone,

I am new and doing research on Bitcoin and some other cyptocurrencies. Just wondering if i were to invest, will Bitcoin be one of the safest to dump my money into?

Thanks and hope to hear your opionion soon people! Smiley

There is always risk involved in investing in cryptocurencies but regarding bitcoin I think it is one of the safest as what you say because almost all people involved in cryptocurrency have bitcoins in holding and/or other cryptocurrency which means that they're confident bitcoin will have significant value in the future. It just reached its ATH and from speculations, they think it will have corrections and will have a bull run again after that so accumulate coins as much as you can. The demand of bitcoin is increasing by the day and in fact companies like Starbucks, Subway, Dell and Microsoft are already accepting bitcoin for some of their transactions.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Cryptocurrency world on: August 10, 2017, 03:45:28 AM
We cannot predict the future of cryptocurrency but we can speculate about it. ICO here and there and there are so many coins that would lost its value overtime. What we can do is to be always updated of the news and what is happening to the crypto world because there are so many opportunities to earn from it. There are cryptos who can really help us in our daily lives like doing the transactions with transparency without the need of middlemen which can become undependable when its come to fiat. Blockchain technology would make our life more convenient when its totally implemented worldwide.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much bitcoin do you need now to be a millionaire? on: August 10, 2017, 02:52:14 AM
It will depend on what country are you residing because for some they just need 5 bitcoin to become one and others would need 10 - 15 bitcoin. Lucky for those early adopters of bitcoin since they got it cheap and hold maybe 100 coins or above but maybe they already sold it a few years ago when the price go up and is also one of us now trying to accumulate coins to be one of those millionaires. With hard work, we can reach the goal of becoming one in the near future if the value of bitcoin continue to go up.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: August 10, 2017, 02:24:50 AM
Just want know how much the gamblers who use analysis when play gambling and what kinds of gambling game? And do you think it is needed or not making analysis on gambling game or it is depend on lucky. Thanks for share your opinions and experience.

It would depend on what kind of gambling site do you gamble. If it's sports then you need an analysis of its previous games and then analyze their strengths and the possibility of it winning this round. At least you have a basis of how you will play this game. If its roulette or any game that is purely base on luck then there's no analysis needed. You just have to depend on luck but with combination of money management then you maybe profitable.

1198  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: August 09, 2017, 03:02:59 AM

Even when I have not known bitcoin yet I already know banks cannot give a good return for our deposits, they are the one who make the most of our money as they use it for their lending services and any other related money generating activities. That is our money but they are getting more return than us, therefore now I just limit my savings in banks and instead I put it in crypto.

When I was still studying, I already learned the lesson about how banks earn money and just like you said they lend our money to others and they are the one profiting from it. They give us an interest of 0.5% annually but let others borrow money from them 5% above annually. The recent issues in banks made me more convince that banks can't be trusted with our hard-earned money and we are lucky cause bitcoin exist wherein we have a choice now where to save it with an interest rate like no other.
1199  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Making a living from signature campaigns, is it possible? on: August 09, 2017, 02:32:32 AM
A lot of people here participate in signature campaigns but is it possible to make a living from doing it?

It depends on your cost of living. If you are extravagant then you cannot live with the earnings in signature campaign. Besides that, it would also depend on which country are you living and what are your expenses. If you get all your funds from signature campaign and have expenses like rent, utilities, food and other miscellaneous then it would not be enough especially if you already have a family. Maybe for a single person, he can still live with the earnings from it.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: August 09, 2017, 02:00:32 AM
No, I would not gamble, I would prefer to dedicate my time to something productive like doing activities that I love like traveling. I tried gambling because I thought it would be one of my ways to have funds in an easy way and yes I did profit before but because of greediness, I lose some more because I wanted to get back what I lose even gambling money I am not willing to lose.
