1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Halving and Valuation Survey on: August 03, 2015, 01:12:15 PM
why? thats assuming every coin mined is immediatley sold.

Indeed. But this is the "worst case" scenario. You are right, maybe some of the big(ish) miners who don't need to cash out immediately will hold their coins, perhaps a lot of smaller miners who want to wait for the halving will hold too, but I think $15-20 per coin would be more than enough temptation for the majority to cash out.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Halving and Valuation Survey on: August 03, 2015, 12:12:10 PM
Litecoin will hit $15 or $20 just before the halving. that is my prediction. and i am no newbie. I've seen a lot of crazy things like Aurora Coin pumped to $100 in 2 -3 days. So $15 - $20 for Litecoin is absolutely doable.

To keep LTC between $15-20 buyers should keep pouring 400-600K USD into LTC every day, just for maintaining the price. After the halving such a pump would be much cheaper, so the profit would be much higher.
1183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S. To Conduct Airstrikes In Syria on: August 03, 2015, 11:45:34 AM
Bad idea. This action can escalate the situation on the whole Middle East, as the SAA have some quite capable AA gear, but if they shot down US planes, the US surely going to retaliate, what will most likely piss off both Iran and Russia (and maybe China too). BTW this decision on it's own can be enough provocation for Russia, to complete the deployment of some already delivered but not yet installed S-300 systems for boosting the Syrian AA defences.
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any chance Dogecoin will ever reach 1 Doge = 0.10$ ? on: August 03, 2015, 08:57:52 AM
I think it will not be possible. Never
As the dogecoin are in unlimited supply so there is no advantage to mine them(according to me).
Why are people wasting so much time on those?

Because of miners still can get a lot with relative little effort (if you compare it to LTC for example) and then they can still dump it for a few dozens of sats. If someone have some "old" script mining gear what isn't profitable on LTC any longer and also have some cheap electricity, with DOGE it's possible to extend the lifetime of the gear and make a nice profit.
1185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: So, which shootings do we call terrorism? on: July 31, 2015, 09:37:51 AM
Well, we simply don't have that problem.

The only question would be whether Muslim Terrorist should be called Muslim Jihadists.  They self-identify as such, however I don't think they would mind the "Terrorist" label.

No, they shouldn't. E.g. palestinians and Hezbollah fighting for their own land and rights, but IS and other jihadists have entirely different goals and rhetoric, however the methods can be pretty much the same.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to decide what cryptocurrencies to invest in? on: July 31, 2015, 08:37:49 AM
Newrad is right about Rule #1. That's the most important. So always do your own research and never listen to people from here who are trying to convince you about the "great investment potential" of coin X or Y.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: jl777: Boolberry ONLY making significant improvements to cryptonote...NO XMR on: July 31, 2015, 08:19:04 AM
The core dev of BBR crypto_zoidberg (CZ) has posted about us working together.

With CZ being the only dev to make significant improvements to the cryptonote codebase [...]

this means-
Monero = insignificant

ok this is no real news cuz we all knew the above equation... but worth a share  Cheesy

~CfA~

Defending the monero devs isn't my job, but as far as I know they are working closely together with CZ on improving the code. If you take a look at the changelog you will see that both CZ and the monero devs are contributing and exchanging pieces of code.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin section may be the reason why crypto succeeds in the future on: July 31, 2015, 08:05:32 AM
You know, Google search indexes
They set in in about 3 months
There are tens of thousands posts here on the forum
Success, from the perspective of Google
Google is omnipotent

SO if I search for the word scam or p&d then I'll be pointed to here by Google Smiley. Well, that would be a sort of fame and success indeed, but maybe not the kind of success and fame we want to see Smiley.
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current situation in Greece confirms Qora's dev words regarding Barter economy on: July 30, 2015, 04:02:09 PM
If the coins offers asset to asset exchange, then why not? Eg 30 assets of eggs for 17 assets of tomatoes

The problem is the distance. A barter economy usually workin well in local communities, but what will happen if the seller of the 30 egg assets located in northern Greece and the physical tomato assets are in Crete... However if it's a local community then they don't need any coins.
1190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islamic State secretly planning to provoke 'end of the world' on: July 30, 2015, 12:42:56 PM
If this isn't fake then those IS guys are must be really stupid. (But they not used to be.) This “Even if the U.S tries to attack with all its allies, which undoubtedly it will, the ummah will be united, resulting in the final battle.” part of the great plan looks a bit sketchy for me... and sounds like some 16YO wannabe "dev" from the altcoin section Smiley.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more Monero or a television for new apartment with girlfriend? on: July 30, 2015, 11:10:41 AM
I'm not talking about the crowd funding. That's fine, no one will have any issues with that. I'm talking about the "My girlfriend wants a telly but that won't happen because of I'm going to buy monero" part Smiley.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more Monero or a television for new apartment with girlfriend? on: July 30, 2015, 09:59:38 AM
Is this something what you guys consider as marketing? I'd suggest to read at least the Marketing for dummies (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=marketing+for+dummies&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Amarketing+for+dummies)

Most people will think that that this is a fake story, in addition the storyline have some negative connotations (ignoring GFs needs for a few bucks more or "if you get into monero you will lose your mind and going to spend all your money on this stuff", etc.)... :/

Even sending funny pictures about a cat or a puppy in a monero hat would be better than this.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero ignored by the public even though it has the best tech out there? on: July 30, 2015, 09:31:29 AM
Monero no doubt has the best technology out of all crypto coins.  To put it frankly, I've been neglecting this myself.  Having looked into the actual tech for the past months, I can now agree with the general consensus of reputable developers who have judged its inner workings.

However! A question that has been arising ever since seeing its numerous advantages - why is it largely ignored? The volume is very low, and there are only very few supporters.  How can this be?

It's like people are buying expensive no-brand cars, if they could have a 90% discounted Lamborghini.  It simply does not make any sense whatsoever not to be hyped about it.  Where's your enthusiasm, folks?

Actually I've recently found a good historical parallel for Monero: the SdKfz 184 Panzerjager Tiger (P) (Ferdinand / Elephant) heavy tank destroyer.
You know it was an freakin' awesome stuff what was able to wipe out anything on the battlefield from miles away and absorb nearly any sort of enemy fire, so it was a hard hitting beast with great potential. A real Porshe in its class Smiley. But...it had two flaws. First the developers forgot to install a cheap machine gun on it (user interface) so the Russian soldiers just comfortably walked to the Elephant and blown up the whole bloody expensive technological marvel with a 50 cent molotov cocktail. The second was the fact that an Elephant was a sophisticated, slow and heavy machine designed for the wast, wide open Russian plains, what was fine there but this made it pretty much useless everywhere else (real life services).

This is the two main flaws with monero too. User interface and real life services. You know until my 90 YO grandma' and 12 YO little brother can't use the client comfortably (without reading a few pages of howtos) from any sort of hardware, and the real life services are basically limited to Bittrex, Poloniex, and some sort of empty marketplace like thingy, I wouldn't expect too much attention from the public.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT (AT) vs Ethereum (Where is the Future)? on: July 30, 2015, 08:46:33 AM
At this moment NXT is far better. Especially because of it's up and running while Ethereum is still in development Smiley. I guess NXT will be able to keep it's technological superiority for a while, because of AE, marketplace, voting, monetary and plugin systems are already there, tested and proven working. In addition Supernet-Multigateway and coin shuffling are both only few steps away. I think later this might change as IMO more money and resource will flock to Ethereum.

Threat? I don't think so. There are more than enough "living-space" for two competing systems (actually there's enough space for many more), so I'm expecting some healthy competition what will be good for both solutions.
1195  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin has started a new clash with the West on: July 29, 2015, 02:59:09 PM
*Waits for Putin's fanbois to tell me why the West is even more bad in every conceivable way...*

Yes, I'd love to hear more about Obama and Hillary Clinton! Wink

Or, maybe they'll just "turn a blind eye" to this thread.

That's easy Smiley. The west blasted away half of Iraq and Afghanistan and killed at least a million people for some oilfields and pipelines, our wise leaders recently unleashed a big bunch of religious fanatics in Syria, supported a coup and an attempted ethnic cleansing in Ukraine (plus an other ethnic cleansing in South Ossetia back in 2008). In the meantime Russia have made only (relative) moderate steps to restore its former sphere of influence, and they actually saved the asses of a lot of ossetians.
1196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America releases its youngest convicted murderer on: July 29, 2015, 02:12:49 PM
I thought that he got life prison without parole, what happened?

I think Dread Pirate Roberts have a chance too, if he got released

I don't think so. These folks only killed someone, but Ulbricht withheld money from the state (and he made possible for others to do the same) what is a much much more serious felony... :/
1197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLL: 95 Percent of BBC Viewers Think Multiculturaism Has Failed on: July 29, 2015, 10:52:19 AM
"Wake up"?  Please.  Don't try to make out that a bunch of bigots giving in to their primitive instincts to fear anyone different to themselves is the equivalent to moving towards some sort of "truth".  If anything, you're moving backwards.  Way to fall for the divide and conquer, fear campaign tactics perpetuated by a vile media and government.  The ones who are actually awake are the small minority who voted yes.

If the majority of people were awake, do you really think we'd have a tory government in charge, currently orchestrating a massive transfer of wealth from poor to rich, selling off public services and peerages to their wealthy friends, all while scapegoating the poorest and most vulnerable in society?  The problem isn't multiculturalism, it's the disgusting, morally bankrupt, kleptocratic parasites in power.  The ones lining their own pockets and those of their supporters at everyone else's expense.

This isn't bigotry. This is simple everyday common sense. Multiculturalism by definition "the existence, acceptance, or promotion of multiple cultural traditions within a single jurisdiction, usually considered in terms of the culture associated with an ethnic group." This is clearly not working. Just take a look at the news or go for a walk in any major city in the UK.

As far as I can remember the Labour wasn't any better. (Actually I can't see too much difference between the Labour and the Tories.)
You know, it's quite easy to make a scapegoat from some groups when the members of that group raping 1500 girls, or creating no go zones for ppl with different views, or making a living from abusing the benefit system.
BTW as I've seen in the UK large part of the "poorest and most vulnerable in society" are the elderly working class indigenous people, but nobody cares, because of they are whites :/.
1198  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLL: 95 Percent of BBC Viewers Think Multiculturaism Has Failed on: July 28, 2015, 03:40:54 PM
No one gives a shit what the smallfolk think.

...as we seen from the from this poll what you said is only true for that remaining 5% dreamers and fools who still not managed to wake up and see how things are going in the real world.
1199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLL: 95 Percent of BBC Viewers Think Multiculturaism Has Failed on: July 28, 2015, 12:54:59 PM
So, more and more people taking the blue pill Smiley. Actually I'm surprised to see such stuff on BBC. I'd expect them to sink all evidence of such results deep into the nearest oceanic trench Smiley. Perhaps they were high on something.
1200  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A question about european residency on: July 28, 2015, 12:35:44 PM
Hi
I want to know that if I have residential permit of one european country then can I go visit other european country and work there???
Like if I have residential permit of spain, can I go to germany(or other european country) and work there???

Tell me if it is possible

As far as I know you can't go straight to Germany. At first you need to apply for a residential permit on the German embassy in Spain.

Here you can find some good info and examples:
