And due to the 720 block diff change, once it gets raped with a high hash rate it will STAY at that high diff for 720 blocks, and no one will mine, and we are in the same boat as now or worse... it needs to be tweaked by the dev...

I re-enabled it.  If it looks like it is getting screwed over, let me know.  As I mentioned I have no intent to kill any coins.

[member opinion] increase percentage of donations for fundraising

I would like to stress that going to 100% debt repayment would end our weekly streak of distributions to fans, which I would like to continue.  It would also cut off any ability for me to pay electricity costs using my personal donation distributions and potentially put the operation at risk as we know it.  I highly recommend that people DO NOT vote for the 100% option.

Is there still weekly distributions to fans?  I haven't received anything since 9-27.

I'd log into your account if I were you and see why that is.  Perhaps you don't have a donation address set or your seats are on probation from not logging in...  Weekly donation distributions have most certainly been happening.

I logged in, have an address set.  When I go to history it shows the last date as 9-27.  I don't see anything about being on probation - how do I see that?

Please don't...

Sure - though adding it back would address a few of the issues DBL is having right now....especially concerning reputation.  Plus it will only impact the currency if its profitability is high.

Can I re-enable on CoinChoose?  I have kept it off due to a request.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: November 19, 2013, 02:49:20 AM
I did a little performance tuning and re-addressed what will happen with stale data.  This should remedy a few of the issues people have had with the site.  I also added in a few coins.  If you see a coin that is missing, let me know and I will add it.

Thanks!

That first paid tier isn't bad. 300 calls per day. If you check every 5 mins thats 288 per day so that would work. 5 min checks would mean the $20 fee lasts 173 days, just under 6 months
If you use a higher time check it lasts even longer.

I would pay $20 for the API key if it meant using CoinWarz with all the additional coins it offers over Coinchoose which barely works as it is.

What part of my site doesn't work? Smiley  I was on parity with CoinWarz on coins and should be syncing back up tonight (had a few coins had to deal with daemon issues but now all is good).

Part of my issue is I just haven't had time to update the daemons - which is why I am looking for either someone to help or to sell the site (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=332755.new#new).  But happy to fix what is wrong now and get it back in sync.

The problem is your site may work now as of you writing that post but coins dissappear very regularly on cc which makes it very inconsistant.  I know you have said several times that you don't have enough time and are looking for help but until the site works for a week without an issue it's hardly working 100%.

Understood.  If it helps, I am now handling the downed block explorers in a different manner such that coins won't disappear and just implemented a few tuning items that should increased the frequency of updates.  I suspect much of your issues will no longer occur.

Can you add Tagcoin to the list on the site...it's been up on coinwarz.com for a while, often at the top of the list, depends on how many miners pile in when the diff gets lower - difficulty is averaging about 50 at the moment, price around 30 to 40 cents, traded on 5 exchanges and about 8 pools..Smiley - Launch of the coin was 2 weeks ago.

Blockexplorer at the moment is at http://florinexchange.com/tagexplorer/

Added - thanks!

same here,

please send me traffic stats. any revenue? donations coming in?

I can say that all revenue right now is thru the ads on the site.  In the past a few donations have come in, but I have refused donations recently when offered (rather have them go back into the coin's development).

Doubling back - this is the API call I use from Cryptsy - http://pubapi.cryptsy.com/api.php?method=orderdata.  As you can see, PXC only is listed for its BTC trade data, not LTC.  I think the API isn't set-up properly to show currencies that are traded in both markets.

Seems so. Hope they will fix this issue some day.

I inquired before on it before and apparently it is harder than I thought.  I will ask again Smiley

Sal, I would appreciate if you replace the PXC icon with this one and add PXC to your LTC Profitability table using the Cryptsy API. Thank you.

I do not believe the Cryptsy API that I am using for LTC is showing PXC.  I understand this was an earlier issue and will see if there was a fix yet as the API was only doing one coin at a time.  I automatically pull everything from Cryptsy so it will appear as soon as the API returns the value.

I had already updated your icon, but it takes sometime for the CDN to replace the image (and also the image is cached in your browser as well).

Sorry - there are so many coins unless the coin owners tell me I can't be expected to keep each coin up-to-date at all times and know every little change.  I just updated it, but next time there is a drastic change like this, I would appreciate a PM or a post here instead of a "would you update finally?".   Thank you.

No offence, but I've PM'ed you earlier with an update request. You haven't responded. Hope our communication will be better in the future.

Sorry - you are right.  I tried upgrading but the new client is crashing on my server (uses high CPU and claims to be running but never responds to any commands).  Until I can figure out the reason, the coin won't appear.  I am working on it, but if you have a public block explorer with an API I'd much rather use that.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: November 17, 2013, 12:09:03 AM
Sal, would you update PXC at Coinchoose finally? The name spelling (Phoenixcoin) and logo as well as block reward which is 50 PXC now vs. 25 PXC before the last hard fork. It is also traded to LTC at Cryptsy, so it can be listed at the LTC Profitability charts, too. You need to upgrade your daemon to v0.6.5.0 if you haven't updated already.

Is there an APIable blockexplorer?

guys you should take difficulty from the coin client (getmininginfo command in console, think you know it) Otherwise sites like coinchoose, coinwarz etc shows wrong value or show it with big delay.. And why you don`t mine MNC?!

Do I show the wrong value?  I get it from the getmininginfo.  My delay is five minutes, though, so maybe that is what you mean.
138  Economy / Digital goods / Re: FS: CoinChoose.com on: November 15, 2013, 01:35:02 PM
Not trying to bump this, but to be clear - I am not only looking for money.  If there is the right person who will continue many of the free aspects of the site, I am happy to work with a transition / pseudo-partnership.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: November 14, 2013, 01:04:24 PM
No, I have no interest in that code. (But thank-you for the offer.) I test the market directly, to see what coins sell for, when in doubt. However, there are two values, not just one. Every "sell" has been purchased, and every "buy" has been purchased. Listings of "hope to sell" or "hope to buy" prices are just that... Hopes and dreams. (Except for bots, who only list 10-300 coins at a time, though they are buying/selling 100,000 coins. They are smart not listing them all at once, however, they have time to list and relist... humans, who buy, don't want to buy 10 coins and 200 coins. That is why every listing for 2000+ gets sold/purchased.

Only stores/shops care about "immediate disposal" for exchange to dollars. Thus the calculations based only off "selling for" prices that are listed. Even without those, shops won't use the coins, because that makes it look like it takes millions of coins to make a single purchase, which is below any "real value". (Value being actually traded.)

But that is useless to what this coin needs anyways. Calculations are just perceptions of reality. What it needs is reality, not perceptions.

Active trading now seems around 0.00002600, and climbing, slowly.

Understood.  If you have a mathematical formula that can be used to figure out a true actual price to convert a given alt crypto currency into a base currency and such formula is not subject to currency manipulators placing high orders, I welcome looking at it and maybe adding a second profitability calculation.
