121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: May 10, 2024, 04:25:49 PM
Lucky are those that have farmed this coin and grind their times in acquiring it.

What do you guys think? Will NOT pump after listing or will it get dump?
It's likely that NOT will be dumped. Everyone is excited to dump this token and every listing that a new coin gets, the first dibs is about getting dumped by the investors, airdrop folks and the devs.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Bitcoin spot ETF, there is Ethereum spot ETF on: May 09, 2024, 11:49:11 PM
I’m looking forward for this approval but maybe around 2 to 3 years from now.  Wink
It's still too young for this proposed ETH ETF. I think it's even the cause of the current dip that we've got lately. Just as what you think, I don't think that this is going to be approved for this month for which it's set to have that decision.
I also think that SEC has got enough already with all of these crypto etf applications and Bitcoin is already enough for them to have it and give it to the institutions that have pushed them to approve it.

123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain survive the crackdown on mixers and anonymization? on: May 09, 2024, 11:18:55 PM
As for the longer term, this brings up an important question: why use blockchain at all?

Blockchain is slow and expensive to transact in on purpose because of proof-of-work and decentralization.
It's because it is transparent and can't be altered. That's the reason why blockchain has a better integrity if you're for that and projects that are into it aren't just for crypto but also for main use cases like voting.

No cryptocurrency will ever come even close to scaling to the billions of transactions each day by people worldwide.
You bet? many of those billion of transactions aren't that much I guess so if it's about quantity over quality, you have the point in there.
124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC and ETH Trading Journey on: May 09, 2024, 10:50:39 PM
I believe that ETH will reach $5k soon but when?

SOL definitely has some power but I do not think that it is good enough to take over ETH all that easily.
I agree, it's been gaining the momentum but it's still not enough. Although there's a chance that it may overtake it but I guess that the rich knows how to play smartly and they're staying to Ethereum's POS to make themselves richer and that remains to the market cap of ETH.
SOL is already in the top 5 and IIRC, it did overtake somehow in top 4 right?
125  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Bank on: May 09, 2024, 10:19:42 PM
High interest rates from a digital bank aren't a trick or whatnot. They want to gather the trust of many new clients and it's more of a promo. Some cut cost is mainly part of it but eventually when they garner a lot of clients already that will deposit on them, they'd offer greater promos with their loans. With that, they are operating digitally and it's actually cost-effective not just for them but also for clients and mostly to the borrowers because with just few steps away, you get your loan if you're eligible.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Trust wallet keeps tx history? on: May 09, 2024, 09:47:46 PM
AFAIK, transactions are embedded with your recovery phrases/seeds then whether you install or delete that, it's already there. If it happens that there's no show of the past transactions that you did, it's possible that there's a wallet update that you need to do at least for Trust wallet and this also applies for most wallets.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ? on: May 09, 2024, 09:16:30 PM
Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ?  What was the final result, did they thank you later for this ?
Yes, that person thanked me. That's only one and I am happy that out of the many that have asked me how to invest, only 3-4 continued and one of them luckily got the quick profits this bull run. I've already told to that guy BTC on 2017 but didn't do anything until this year.
I was so happy for him that he did sort of a shortcut and managed to earn already compared to the other friends that I have that it took them a lot of time before having so.
It’s risky to influence someone to invest in a volatile investment like bitcoin, but somehow it also depends on how that person will be able to manage the risk and make it succeed. Lucky are you that your friend ended up overcoming all those risks and made decent profits in the end, it simply proves that he understood bitcoin well before he invested on it. However, for those who are just here to invest for quick gains, I’m afraid that once they experience some losses, they’ll eventually put the blame on the person that influenced them to invest in bitcoin.
I made sure that they understand what risk and volatility means and I didn't encouraged them but just explained how the market looks like and for them to have an idea.
The rest, it's all up to them and for that single guy that able to make profit in a short period of time. The timing was just perfect for him as it's before the halving and months ago.
I didn't do all of the explanation, I told him to research and he obliged and that's the fruit of his studying alone the market.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could This Be the Next Big Play-to-Earn Game? on: May 09, 2024, 08:43:29 PM
I am done with them but if you guys are still optimistic with it, make sure that you are there to earn and then don't forget that there's an expiration for the hype that they're building.
Even in 2017, a lot of gaming projects have been there and I thought that they're there to modify the gaming scene but no, they're all hype and based on the market that they're focusing and targeting with because of the potential revenue that they're about to get.
Afterwards, they're almost forgotten.

Clearly speaking I think you could understand this market cap and the media speculations very well that most of the projects are being manipulated basically on the gaming projects that's being overhyped like some sorts of specialities are Into it.
Being clearly won, let it be hope that something productive comes out of the projects in quite being aware that hyping can only be a strategy to attract the audience for the developers interests and later on its existence become magically gone so soon like a painful exit of an icon.
It is a clear strategy that hyping is being done first by the developers and many investors are going to try them and invest to the project they're able to hype.
I've seen it and became one of those people that have became hype with it and didn't hesitated to buy and with that, I've lost significant amount of money.
That's why if there are still p2e games that are new, I won't invest on them. I might take a look but not gonna invest significant money on it.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Meme Coins still Catch Up With The Likes of Doge and Shib? on: May 09, 2024, 07:39:07 PM
There are a lot of meme coins that are being launched from time to time and you can describe it the way you want it whether it's going to be the next shib or dogecoin.
Because no matter what is the potential to pump of that meme coin that's newly launched, it is not going to change the fact that their hype isn't going to last forever.
They're good as brand new but then eventually, they're going to lose that.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Monero survive exchange de-listings and low merchant adoption? on: May 09, 2024, 12:19:06 PM
Do you think Monero will be able to survive this?
I think that it will but its move will be limited because of many exchanges and services getting that are delisting it.

Does it still have a future?
I think so but when the regulators are done with it then that's the time that it shall be free to move. Otherwise, the regulators are going to pressed on it until many holders, investors and enthusiasts of it gets discouraged.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: May 09, 2024, 12:04:03 AM
What about other EU countries, will XMR still be available on kraken?
Expect that most of the countries and exchanges will be delisting XMR. This has been ongoing for years and there's no way that these exchanges want to sacrifice their business for XMR. This is actually sad to see that the best privacy coin is being collaboratively clamped down by different governments of countries.  Lips sealed
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether scales crypto payments in Eastern Europe with new investment on: May 08, 2024, 11:29:03 PM
Well, they can invest in other potential competitors that they are seeing for every country that has the same service that they're focusing on. They've got to say unlimited money to invest so they can do whatever they can.   Grin

Just as every other company does have partners, I also believe that's what Tether offers; they don't need to be directly involved in the company, but their funds are working for them, as they also have some legal agreements with the Georgia government on their need for expansion in the country.
That is true, just like any other venture capitalist does. They're investing to new companies that they're seeing the potential to grow in no time. Binance does this and the same goes for other known fin tech companies.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Announcement: LocalMonero and Agoradesk will be winding down its operations on: May 08, 2024, 10:59:19 PM
What happens to XMR now?
They have been cracking down on XMR and any services that are into privacy. I remember that they've been too active about it by asking local exchanges in South Korea to delist it and they obliged because they had no choice but to do that or else the business would be closed.

What happens to XMR now?
I guess these regulators easily get information from us on this forum sometimes. I am not posting anything but monero will continue to exist.
For sure that they do but they can't do anything with it, despite with all of these challenge they're giving to the community, it's true that monero won't cease to exist.

136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I get into trading on: May 08, 2024, 09:58:52 PM
Can I use meta trader?
If this is from the forex, I believe that any strategy that you've developed or using there can be done also in the crypto market. But is this a both or a software?
If it's, I think that most of the exchanges won't be supporting that as there are other software that they're allowing to their API to connect but not with that.
I haven't heard someone did that but most likely it is not possible for you to use that with the crypto exchanges.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People Tokens are pumping. Bullish. on: May 08, 2024, 09:17:40 PM
I believe the world of altcoins is starting to fade away.
Your belief, your opinion but I don't think so.

The new and more powerful trend is in people profile tokens; investing in a content creator, favorite celebrity, athlete, or singer.
Why's that? first time to hear that they've got profile tokens. But even with that, I'd never any of those.

Have you seen the new ....
Okay, I have to stop from there and it's obvious that this is the project you're endorsing and want people to get curious about.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's responsible for the dead coins? on: May 08, 2024, 04:04:33 PM
Between developers and Investors, who's responsible for the AltCoins that goes dump or likely to be ghost coins in total disappearance even from the market cap?
Everyone.

Rumours goes around that it's the developers intentions while done days it's the Investors impacts that determines how much active the and stable the AltCoins could stay in the market cap.
Both are involved on it but you know what's impactful? the move of the developers and that's because the investors are only relying to the decision of the developers. And with every first touch, it is the developers.

So, who's responsible when the Coins dies?
Devs obviously.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Coins to buy - good selection? on: May 08, 2024, 03:00:23 PM
Not bad with your list and you seem to know what you're doing with that money of yours. 1k Euros each. That's a lot per coin that you've got on your portfolio.
Do you own bitcoin already and that's why you are not including it to your list? If you happen to have some doubts with either one to three of that list you have.
Get BTC.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Lending might be a way to reduce unnecessary Defi fee on: May 07, 2024, 11:48:06 PM
Most of the defi platforms that have a service to give loans to their users aren't going to survive, do a research about how many of them bitten the dust.
As for exchange going for lending, it's very easy to them to sustain this kind of service. Just like the banks, their users deposits are the ones that are being lent to their lenders but about the overcollaterization, it's needed for them to sustain it. Because if they're not going to ask for it, for sure they'd be bankrupt in no time.
