341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: March 27, 2024, 06:48:58 PM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.
If you can't handle the heat get out. But before you do that, try to trade again with $10 and just cash out your $50.
Because on your end, you're going to have hard time to start when you're disappointed with your first trades because that's normal, you can't really win with your first trades as you're starting out. Most of the trades that you're going to commit are going to be losses and you can't do anything with that but to learn.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Ethereum's biggest competitor? on: March 27, 2024, 06:10:47 PM
Not sure what you've mentioned except Avalanche. These are the competitors in terms of its own smart contracts that are being used mostly by projects nowadays. It's either any of these for they're popular right now.

* BNB
* SOL
* Matic
* TRX
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is meme narrative shifting from Solana to BASE, BNB? on: March 27, 2024, 07:04:05 AM
There's still that much attention with the meme coins on sol network. Don't think of it that there were some slumps that has happened to the market and showed that those memes on the sol network have dropped means that they're all falling down. IMHO, most of the memes are still in and it just depends on where the crowd goes and how the marketing works for the memes that have got that much attention through hype of the communities that they're in.
344  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: March 27, 2024, 12:04:07 AM
For the older ones, savings are a must because they can't take any longer risk unless they've got a huge savings that they can attain to lose money by taking risks with investments. It's best for the younger ones to invest at an early stage because they can attain to make mistakes and they can recover eventually, that's why the old ones are good to have with what's left on them if they ever have saved and invested at their young age. And as they grow old, it's best to them to just enjoy the profits they've made to enjoy life.
Yes of course the elderly cannot or should not take risks in their old age considering the financial risks the propensity to make mistakes and the loss of support. Because human productivity is not always the same in every stage of life. But before getting old we all should be interested in investing keeping in mind all the limitations of old age considering the time and opportunity in the right place and saving some money so that in old age we can enjoy the investment dividends.
Yes, they're already on their stage of life that they are going to be dependent to their life savings, benefits, pensions and if they've got businesses and other passive incomes. That's why they can no longer take risk and if they've done when they're younger, that's good. But if they're only going to be dependent on some things, the benefits that they can get from government is also a good one that they can have on. However, relying to those is hard when cost of everything and living nowadays are keep on increasing.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading psychology and TA on: March 26, 2024, 11:29:02 PM
Any factor can affect our trades. Trading psychologies will vary to how you look at it. Emotions are also factors for your decisions and that's why it can affect you straightly. TAs are sometimes wrong and doesn't line with the actual market but at most times, they're good if you prefer to have it. Actually, any ways for you to be good at this market, do it because if that's what makes you survive on this market and have some winning trades then that's all what you have to do.
With all of the factors that you have encountered, combining them with your experiences will make you a better trader.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: paying taxes on altcoins on: March 26, 2024, 10:54:53 PM
Let's say I am under 18 and made like 120 dollars trading shit coins with Solana. Would I have to file taxes on that? I got a little bit of Solana from the helium app, transferred it to a personal wallet, and made like 120 dollars off a less than 10-dollar investment. Do I have to file taxes this year or should I just wait till I'm 18 in like 8-10 months?
Read some brief info about how taxation goes in your country. People here from various countries and has a different form of taxation in crypto profits. But if you've made that money and it's in fiat already, that's when you have to check out the taxation compliance in your country.
Or try to get some help in your local community that are into taxation like audit officers or are working into revenue taxes bureau.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 26, 2024, 10:25:43 PM
In my opinion, Bitcoin's path to $100k seems likely this year. Moreover, Bitcoin reached above $73k before the halving occurred. However, to reach the price of $100k, Bitcoin will experience a slight decline and this happened when after reaching $73k Bitcoin fell to $64k and now the price of Bitcoin has risen again above $70k.
While many are predicting about a nosedive before the halving happens, maybe it's already done and that's going to fuel the skyrocketing soon. We might see this year that we'd be close to $80k because this 2nd quarter is just about to start. $100k can happen for this year because of how things have changed and based on the movement of Bitcoin for the past months, we can literally see some $1k-$3k move upwards in less than a day. That's very possible if you'd see the charts and that's why many are hoping that it might happen this year for which it didn't last 2021 bull run.
348  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who can you trust more to handle your business, man or woman? on: March 26, 2024, 09:48:23 PM
I have no bias into gender if it's about my business, what matters to me are to start with these two; attitude and experience.

* If you intend to start your business or you already do and are looking for the best candidate to fill the top management position, would you trust a man or a woman to handle the affairs of the business?
If it's with operation, I like more with man handling it and if it's about handling people, women. But it doesn't really matter to me because as long as the expertise and experience is there, that's what I actually prefer.

* What reasons would you suggest are right, for picking and trusting a particular gender to handle a top management position of your business?
CV/resume can be at the top tier but the actual person can change when they're already inside the organization or your company and that's why go ahead to what I've said first and start with attitude. Skills can be learned and taught while experience takes time to be learned and that's why the two I prefer.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old would you be by 2140? on: March 26, 2024, 09:04:10 PM
* What's your excuse for not investing in owning Bitcoin now?
This hits to those that still waiting for the dip. As they waited for it for a long time, they have gone out of their plans and have missed a lot because of their wait and plan of buying at a certain low price of Bitcoin.
If they've just listened to the folks that have told them to DCA while waiting, then, they won't be left behind on this bull run and they're also celebrating with us. But the problem with them is they are not able to secure themselves some bits by DCAing but instead, they choose to be patient but that patience of theirs didn't go into fruition because it isn't used at all.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Error with staking wallet after electricity crash on: March 26, 2024, 08:26:45 PM
(This fixed it.  I also noticed an 18 gig debug file indirectory which I deleted).
Good, I was about to suggest that maybe some updates are waiting and that's why it keeps on crashing. But it seems not the answer and you've just deleted some file on its directory.
Now that you're able to fix and solve it, now this thread no longer needed to be opened so, you can lock this topic.
351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Analyses on: March 26, 2024, 07:51:56 PM
This is why investing in Bitcoin is the best, look at how much it was when OP posted it and it's more than 50% of the increase since just a few months ago. If you're also looking into the altcoins, I cannot deny that there's also significant increase to most of them at this rate but if you like the steady and way assured investing and surviving on this market, Bitcoin is the way to go. You can have as much as predictions and analyses that you have but you cannot go wrong by choosing Bitcoin. Now, the interesting part is how much it is going to be just after a year or even a two since most people considers that long term but us that are actually long term, they're still short term.  Smiley
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I will buy old TRX (Tron) tokens on the Ethereum network (ERC20) on: March 26, 2024, 07:12:16 PM
I am not a seller but I am just curious on what's the purpose and what you're going to do with it?

Just consider me a collector.
Okay then, I guess that killed my curiosity and thank you for answering that. Good luck on finding that seller.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you ever be able to buy stocks in Web3 ? on: March 26, 2024, 06:26:56 PM
Only verified and approved brokers can do that. If a web3 project starts selling RWA stocks like NVIDIA then there's no essence of being called as a web3 because they're not decentralized. While most of these brokers are centralized and regulated, that's why they're able to sell those stocks. But, these web3 projects can actually sell and do the same as the legitimate brokers but it's like a projection that they're selling you stocks but in paper, they don't sell you real stocks from those companies that you want to buy. In short, you only buy and sell that stock on them but in reality, you don't own it. It's the same setup when you've got money in the exchanges.
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 26, 2024, 05:48:04 PM
That's it, while the major institutions can do whatever they can and are able to buy in bulk and thousands of bitcoin. We as simple investors can do little by buying through DCA. And if you're onto the point that you want to sell, the matter is on how you are satisfied for your time of selling. But as you can see, many from the forum don't want to sell as soon as possible and there are more prolonged plans that they'd sell at the right time with a better pricing and no one knows when that time is going to come. As soon as you're wanting to cash out and you're happy with the price and that's how you reward yourself then do it.
We cannot compare what large institutions do with the investments we make. However, in this case we can conclude that currently many large companies are buying bitcoin, so don't sell your BTC holdings to those who might have difficulty finding a cheaper price like the first purchase we made. The level of complacency is always there but for now we have to be against taking it because in the coming years bitcoin will be more expensive and that is because of the scarcity that is occurring.
Just as what most of us are saying, it's about that there will be a point of time that we're going to have hard time buying these Bitcoins at a cheaper price. Right now, we're looking at it on an expensive price and there will be more price fluctuations to come that we're in a bull run. Maybe at some point after this bull run that we'll see cheaper price but I believe that it's harder to get Bitcoin at that time when it's going to have a new higher all time low and many will still consider it as something that they can't afford and for that reason, they cannot just sell too easy at these ranges because that's how we planned for it and that's what HODL means.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 26, 2024, 10:26:03 AM
DCA never gets old and it's the strategy that the majority of us is aware of. What we need to plan is to get on how long we're going to hold the bitcoins you've bought. If you have no exit plan, that's just fine and you can get some portion of it when you want to and sell it at your will if you need some extra cash for some purposes that you need to spend it.

DCA will be the most used method especially that majority of us can't buy bitcoins in bulk  then people will go use this strategy since they can buy their bitcoins on regular intervals depends on when they can afford to do it. I think planning to sell well depends on situation and the needs of the holder itself since if he feel that he need to cashout something then they must sell their profits nothing can stop them or tell that its wrong since that's profit already they can earn that back since your balance left will still generate you a profit and also you can do your interval accumulation once you are ready again to accumulate.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Making people more profitable than Alts on: March 26, 2024, 09:27:07 AM
All cryptos are volatile except stable coins but even with that, I can see some stable coins that have been moving under some cents and trying to depeg. And what you've said is a warning to those that like most memecoins. If they're in profit, that's nice but if they start to see themselves getting losses, let it be as a lesson for them to remember.
people seem to forget the fact that when someone cashes out big profit from meme coin there's people losing buying at peak, its not really profitable for many people but they don't tell anyone about their losses, at least with some coin with real product you got product that can be utilized but many meme coin trend are short lived.
in this case like as you mentioned even meme coin fall under category of altcoin and meme coins and other altcoin generally are just as volatile depends on the coin we are talking about here.
if its stablecoin indeed there's some case where the stablecoin are being volatile, i still remember when usdt and usdc has some value decrease, usually most of the stablecoin that depegs are made algorithmic stablecoin where they didn't really peg their coin to usd but to other coin to keep value.
Every market that you win, there's always the opposite side that losses. If that loser don't want to lose, they shouldn't get into this market. Because if they do so, they are aware that they can be a winner or a loser. Even if we want to get into the altcoins that have utilities and have real use case, the trend right now has changed and people have chose to get into memecoins. But despite that, there are still a lot of us that chooses to be into those projects that has real use case. As for the stable coins, they don't lose quickly their value but the known ones are unlikely to. But if they do, they decrease in value so slowly.

Thank you CryptopreneurBrainboss for the updates. I am fine with the changes as long as it is for the betterment of the campaign and project to prolong it.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Making people more profitable than Alts on: March 25, 2024, 11:46:54 PM
Memecoins are also alts.

Sure, memecoins are also altcoins so why would the op make such a statement with all the experience he has here in this forum. Aside Bitcoin, all other coins are altcoins. However meme coins are know to be more volatile than other coins, and that means they can pump rapidly or dump rapidly. So in as much as they make investor become rich, they can also drain make them encounter lots of loses. Due to the fact that memecoins are the current hype, we now have lots of scam project that will definitely become shitcoins after a while, meme coins are short term coins for investment.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 25, 2024, 11:18:42 PM
What every plan should look like for each investor should depend on their goals. However, I consider buying through DCA as the best method for now if the goal is to hold the investment for a longer time. This is because the price will go down and will also go up from time to time, but it mostly goes up in the long run.

This is why I stick to this method.
Good, and that's not just you but most of us.

I am not a seller but I am just curious on what's the purpose and what you're going to do with it? I have seen this type of orders but with other cryptos and I'm ignorant on how you're going to use it when they have no value anymore at all as you've said.
