1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 14, 2023, 06:37:18 PM
From memecoins to nft's etc what do you think will be the next hype of 2024 or 2025? I personally think of real utility and true privacy. I think CBDC's and constant blockchain tracking will scare a lot of people and they will want true privacy something that monero can bring. Privacy by default is what will be highly desired and needed in the coming future as it will be highly beneficial. Nobody wants to be tracked 24/7 of everything they do.

What do you think?
We've got projects already that dealt with privacy, Monero is one and the government can't even stand with it because of what it offers so they're pressuring exchanges to delist it. How about ETFs? like just applications and no need for them for any approval and it's just all about hype.
There's already an ETF application for Ethereum and that's what these institutions want for it. They only just want to file and see how the market reacts.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: December 13, 2023, 10:34:01 PM
Trading requires skill trading is easy if you have good experience.
I won't call trading an easy thing even if I'm an experienced trader. Even the best traders are still struggling to maintain their positions in the market that's why it is no chill. While there can be moments that they're chill and thrilled regardless of that, it's still not an easy thing to do.

You can buy and hold any cryptocurrency of your choice like bitcoin ethereum etc. This is the advantage of holding which you can easily profit by selling again when the price rises.
This is what easy is, holding. The best strategy whether you hold bitcoin or altcoins, if you're going to hold it then it's so much better.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: December 13, 2023, 09:51:41 PM
I think it is realistic to choose Ethereum as an investment because, up to now, Ethereum is still the best altcoin and is only below Bitcoin. The reputation it carries is beyond doubt. Even though many altcoins are growing and there are many alternatives available, of course Ethereum is still a rational choice to continue to hold as a very promising investment in the future. For those who are too lazy to do analysis, of course it is a natural thing to choose Ethereum, but I also feel that there are still altcoins that are also good; although not better
You are in the right thing if you're going to choose Ethereum over any other altcoins as an investment. There is no debate with that as Ethereum have proven its usefulness not just on its own network/chain but also to the other projects where it all started.

BNB is one that is really worth considering because it always gives surprises when it reaches its peak.
And like BNB, it came from the smart contract of Ethereum before and then launched its own mainnet. It cannot be denied that the contribution of Ethereum to their success is there.
1084  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 13, 2023, 09:08:14 PM
So Im still surprised If anyone still use Banks they are old
Are you sure with what you're saying that you're surprised if someone still using it? They're old? I don't think that because they're old or what, they shouldn't be used anymore. I am not promoting to use of them but let's go to the reality that there are several banks left and right in most countries. Even in the US, banks are there and likely being hated because of the interest rates they give to the lenders. Ask your relatives, aside from your family if they're still using one because banks are no longer young.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wojak - Meme Coin on: December 13, 2023, 08:38:53 PM
Marketcap: 19 Mio $
What does even 19 mio $ mean? I bet you talk about $19M but it's down to $18M as I have checked this coin. This coin is still young and if it's a meme coin that has already a lot of market cap then good luck to all of you folks who have this. You'll never know if it's going to be back with that top line on the chart because for me, it's going to take time or maybe in the bull until you can make money from it. Surprisingly, there are a lot of exchanges where it is listed.

1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: December 13, 2023, 08:03:57 PM
As for LTC, it's entirely different after all of those years when Lee has quit as the main guy of this project. How many years was it already? 6-7 years has passed and LTC has never been the same.

He's still the main guy, just not that much showing his face of the public. There are YT videos were he debates LTC with others.
Latest is this one I think:

 https://youtu.be/ygCiU-ZSs3k?si=tCZI2rZkPQza3xn-

The marketing of LTC is non existing. And now it comes they do have a marketing department. What they do? I fear no one knows.
Litecoin being on Paypal is a huge plus though.
He is? I thought that he has quit his position but yes, even if he has already quit. No doubt that he's still the main guy. And with the news[1] years ago, that's why I felt like it was an abandoned project and the community is the one that sets for running it and that's why it's still there.

1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: December 13, 2023, 01:52:34 PM

Because if just because of the Updates we will trust this coin , then why not happened back in 2018  Grin

You can not seriously compare 2018 to 2023 in Crypto. Or 2010 to 2018 for that matter.
Every situation is quite different. The userbase of crypto has risen, due to 25000 new "opportunities"
Some have turned maxis even.
That's right, every cycle is different and we just can't compare what's in the past and what will be likely to happen for the upcoming year. But we get the pattern and understand that there's a possibility that something might be the same to come. As for LTC, it's entirely different after all of those years when Lee has quit as the main guy of this project. How many years was it already? 6-7 years has passed and LTC has never been the same.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: December 13, 2023, 12:20:42 PM
Will this change when the bull run comes? Seems that the altcoins market is ripening and rich again but I don't know what's with the NFT scene if they're flourishing and going back to what they used to be. If there's no movement at all even in the bull run and that 95% remains the same for the majority of the NFTs then, it just means that there is no hope anymore from them and they're likely dead at all as people look forward for another place to invest into this market aside from btc and alts.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: December 12, 2023, 11:50:46 PM
if they are influencers who shill coins, they are always biased with what they are saying.

but its not so bad following those channels that provide news about what is going on in crypto space like the channel of Paul Barron or George. i have been listening to them for some time and there are news that i only heard from them which is not posted in this forum. ETF updates and SEC regulations are always the news that i always want to be updated that's why i'm following those channels.
Not bad to follow good channels that are providing news and articles that they've read. But it can't be avoided that there will be time that they're going to shill projects. So watch them out when the bull run comes because a lot of projects will use these influencers as their channels for advertisement and shilling. This is a common trade for the crypto influencers as they get paid to have their insights making it look a genuine reaction but it's all paid and shill.
1090  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 12, 2023, 11:21:14 PM
Your uncle is old enough to mend his activities and change his lifestyle. A simple word of telling him that we're no longer young and we're not getting any younger would be sufficient for him to think of the important things in the remainder of his life. We're not that young anymore to do stuff but if he's got this reason about YOLOing then let him do his own thing and let him wake up one morning to realize what he has been doing instead of saving for the rainy days. I know that we're here to enjoy life but too much of everything isn't good.

Well, that's right, or maybe his uncle needs professional help because it somehow related on his personal decision making since he shows symptoms like being impulsive on the things that he want once he makes money.
Like what people are saying about getting professional help is the best thing he can do. He's impulsive and no doubt that don't mind anything at all because of how he's acting.

Also I agree with you that maybe his uncle only needs a sympathy advice for him to realize that he's no longer young and there's nothing wrong for leisures as long as you are able to maintain your well being and finances.
It can help somehow but if his uncle is hard-headed and someone who doesn't like seeing a pity on him then that's a different story and there's no need to interact with him anymore if it's about these problems that he's showing to the kid.
1091  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction is possible in bitcoin price? After 40,000$ on: December 12, 2023, 10:20:41 PM
We have a short and quick pull back and that's why everything is still possible even if we hit the $40k mark.

But I totally believe that we will experience market correction in the next few days and bitcoin will be quite affected. But no worries with bitcoin as its price will never stay longer in a bearish price, it will always recover again from every price drop.
Just like me, corrections are essential for the market for us to see that there's going to be a bigger high in the upcoming months. Bitcoin is certainly the main attraction of it but we have seen how resilient it is and that's one factor that many of us like for Bitcoin. Regardless of how many % it will pull, the recovery is greater than it.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert on: December 12, 2023, 09:48:00 PM
You could say this is a trap so that people are influenced to invest in some of the Altcoins they have mentioned.
They are paid for sure. That's why they are so persistent in giving thoughts to the people because that's what they want for their audience to invest in. It's a direct shill and marketing on their end and they are not experts. And when the newbies hear them say, that's where the problem is going to start with and instead of thinking of other things to invest in, they will just go on it and directly buy them because what affecting their decisions is the influence that has been made on them.
1093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 12, 2023, 09:13:17 PM
Even myself, I also feel riding with this FOMO. And most likely, I will get there soon once I have gained spare money to invest.
This is a better FOMO than the others that we've been having with several altcoins. Mostly today with meme coins, too much FOMO is happening there. People think that they'd get millions of money by having billions of meme coins that haven't been pumped yet. The jackpot in the lottery as it seems but the closer to the reality is to get FOMOed with Bitcoin. Not yet on the peak but we're starting to see the bull run.

I think most of this meme coin FOMO is over, thank god! I agree that some of them were good for a laugh and when you take DOGE, it was funny what was happening around it and how that coin could establish itself at the top of CMC, but honestly it became ridiculous when the fifth coin with a dog or the third coin with a frog was pumped and made it speculators lose money. However, if someone ever lost money on a coin with a dog or a frog, I doubt that they deserve a lot of empathy. I think nobody would expect an investment into these types of collectibles to make them rich outside of crypto. They are memes and the value itself is a joke for its most part.
We don't know. But if they do then there's still the halving that's coming for Bitcoin and they cannot skip that part because the altcoins season might also come. If they seem to be over then, there's nothing we can do right now or I mean the meme coin holders because that's all what they have to do on their end, wait again until the boom starts to come.

BTC FOMO is less dangerous than the meme coin or shit coin FOMO as BTC will actually not go to zero and has excellent prospects to recover if someone got the timing totally wrong or was unlucky. At least that person isn't left with vaporware afterwards.
They need to understand and accept that for real. BTC have that advantage although the risk remains on it but with its status on the market now, it's a choice that they've got less worry.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchange HTX sees outflows top $258M following exploit on: December 12, 2023, 12:44:24 PM
Much better.
People are learning from past experiences and also the alarm that's been seen with the exploit that has happened to them. Whether we like it or not, and how many times we keep on reminding them to not make these exchanges be a storage of their assets. Still, with these outflows, we see that there are still a lot of people that are keeping their holdings on them. They're not going to move it unless some big bad news of exploits and bankrupts come. If they're not following the news around then for sure that they'd keep most of their assets there until an announcement of possible no refund policy can happen.
I really hope that people learn from all the negative experiences many other users had to go through and keep their coins on their own wallets, after all this is not the first hack that it has happened to an exchange and it surely is not going to be the last, hackers are simply too good and have too much time to infiltrate such large targets, so people need to keep their coins out of exchanges, and if they do not want to use a decentralized alternative, they need to exchange their coins and then get them out of the exchange as soon as possible.
Use exchange the way they're made to be. They're made to use just as their name is but still, many people use them as their cold storage, their holding wallet. It's not that right until they realize that their funds become frozen and they can no longer do their thing on it. If they are still not aware of many things happening from exchanges about hacking incidents, they're no longer free to reason out that they don't know. Their funds are in there so, they need to monitor everything that happens from the exchanges they use.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Shuts down their Visa Debit Cards in Europe on: December 12, 2023, 10:41:55 AM
That's right but for now, they're the center of attraction and I think that will serve as a warning for the other known and big exchanges that has a lot of customers from those countries that have issues with them. It's like that they're giving a sample through Binance and if the others won't comply immediately or they will turn themselves blind from this, maybe they will be the next ones that will be put into hot seat by the SEC. Yeah, only time will tell when.

Looking at the current Binance position on the market, surely the urgency or priority from the regulator is more concerning to them compared to others. But that doesn't exclude others to comply with the applicable regulation in the meantime, at some point in time, the authority will look back and demand clarity of how the business operates. If turns out they were not compliant in the past, I believe the SEC will take the matter into account.

As of now, I agree this is a wake-up call specifically for businesses in the cryptocurrency ecosystem to carefully and thoroughly reflect whether they meet the applicable regulator or policy, or not.
Yes, that doesn't exempt the others from the compliance that the regulators might ask them. While there can be a lot of these advisories that are going to come in the bull run. As of now, that's all what they need to make based on the situation that Binance is dealing with them.
Well then, we're going to see if something different might come then after they're done with Binance. All the compliance were done, each country has their own rule towards them, so that's it.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Shuts down their Visa Debit Cards in Europe on: December 11, 2023, 09:32:07 PM
It seems that we're going to see Binance everywhere to have issues, they're targeted by the regulators and it all means that they need to register for each of those jurisdictions one by one. Although they are an international brand and their operations are globally, that makes sense for them to be followed everywhere because of the revenue that they're getting for each of the customers where they are not registered. Name their services, visa debit cards, the exchange itself, anything.

If regulatory pressures are mandated and become more strict, the issue won't be experienced specifically for Binance, but also for other services that still don't comply with regulatory needs. Each government surely will attempt to make policies to govern and control borderless things like cryptocurrency, as soon they get rigid regulation, they will try to limit and request compliance for any centralized services that serve their own users.

Time will tells, and they would simply just wait before their turns come to follow any applicable and required policy and regulation concerning the matter.
How is that good? It's just distrust for services. People withdrawing money because they are scared of losing it, and fear is not good for adoption. Trust is.
You have heard of hacks and platforms freezing funds? that's why.

And this is not CEX vs DEX. Dexes and bridges get hacked all the time. In fact it's quite telling that new multi million dollar hack is barely in headlines anymore. And markets need to absorb those, and by doing that they are laundering money and that's just more ammo for regulators to tax us to ground. Or even to shut down. And before people say that crypto can't be shut down, they might be right, but regulators can drive the price and liquidity to grave from here, just by choosing right actions. This depends on several things, but constant hacks doesn't help adoption in any way.
It's not adoption but it's about people's money. Forget about adoption, it's coming naturally and even the governments are adopting. This is all about the hard earned money of people and that's so much better if most of them are getting their funds off exchanges. And that is because the right thing to do before they even experience losing it actually.

1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy more ETH..... on: December 11, 2023, 04:08:47 PM
I really support this idea, because it is true that the best altcoin is still ETH even though there are so many other new projects.
but it all started from the ETH network they just copied it,
No contest about ETH being the best altcoin. It never gets old and remains at the top, where smart contracts originated CMIIW.

and the copycat will never be better than the original.
So true, but there is also no contest if the copycats have made themselves well and become a good project. The outcome turns that it's got some volume because of how they worked on the project although being a copycat has got to start from somewhere and it's still inspired by ETH.
1100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is hard!!! on: December 11, 2023, 01:52:06 PM
Trading is as easy as we think in reality trading is not that easy.
Many think that trading is easy because people who have been showing it to them make it look like it's an easy thing to do. But if you go over and do it on your own, you'll just cry about your losses and will say it loud that it's actually hard.

Trading is definitely not easy mostly for those with less knowledge about It
I think that even when you're knowledgeable about it, there goes the theoretical way of learning how to trade and the difference of doing the actuality of it. When it's about the actuality, many seems to fail even if they perform well and think that they can do it while learning it.
