841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 20, 2024, 08:46:07 AM
Paying for a house with bitcoin sounds to me a mistake or lack of financial knowledge.
Don't think like this, paying with Bitcoin for anything that you need is worth it. What makes you stop is the value of it might increase paying but please do remember that if something has been able to get filled because you've paid using Bitcoin, don't feel regret on it.
That's actually the purpose of Bitcoin why satoshi made it and that's for peer to peer transactions with merchants like this. Both of you get to enjoy the monetary value of Bitcoin and its features too.

~snip~
Bro!! We journeyed into the 2024 and the bull has not signaled the obvious. The BTC ETF approval didn't impact the price as expected, Halving is in about 3 months and the average days to see bull run post halving is about 200 days.
Just be patient bro, everything is alright and we haven't seen yet the biggest impact of it. We still have to wait for the halving for Bitcoin to wait as you're saying. I know that the altcoins market will also reflect on BTCs move so, you gotta be patient with that.
The market won't react on an instant although for some instances, it does. But if it didn't move on an instant basis and we didn't see the pump as soon as possible the news came, there's no need to hurry but to wait.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: January 20, 2024, 07:40:44 AM
low cap coins if the coin is good will not be a problem. good coins at least have been listed on good exchangers, for example, have been listed on binance or other good exchangers, for example kucoin and more.
If the low cap coin is not good, it can be scammed by the coin developer.
Most of the low cap coins are like still on their early journey and telling that they're a good one depends on the bias of the investor. If lack research but still can be said and classified as good coins, that matters for the ones who is checking that out. But that doesn't mean that many low cap coins are bad and the same goes for being good. If they're on the good exchanges, that's one factors but remember that many good coins are also being delisted from these known exchanges in the end.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launchpool: One Of The Best Staking Feature For Rewards. on: January 20, 2024, 07:07:15 AM
If you are into it, you have probably received a lot of airdrops from it. But another catch is that, obviously, if you stake a bigger amount there. Then, you'll also be one of those that will receive higher amount of the airdrops that are going through with it.
It is a good one but basically because we're going in to the bull run but what happens after this? I guess that everyone will see the bad or sad side of it during the bear market where everything is stagnant. Still will get some rewards but not as how it is right now.

Absolutely right, the magnitude of reward depends on quantiy of coins one stakes. Additionally, It is also true that newly launched projects during the bullish market phase are mostly successful due to increased interest of market participants and influx of new capital in the market.
It is what we've mostly noticed for most of them. When the bull run is approaching, the majority of them are successful. But launch most of them during the bear market, you'll get nothing and that's a proven fact.

I may be proved wrong, but with the entrance of giants like BlackRock and ETFs approvals, the bullish market phase could last longer this time.
It is said that we might get like until 2025 and at the end of that year we may see the start of the bear market. But, this 2022 bear market doesn't feel that much pain so we may see some changes.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: January 20, 2024, 06:34:24 AM
A big money bag but if you are not willing to take risk from altcoins then just buy bitcoin and with a little patience can get good profit. As many of the token names you feel have meme coin in them but I'd like to refrain from that. But if you really want to buy meme coin then try to use the maximum investment of $500. We all know that the only dependable way of investment is to take risk but it is foolish to take exclusive decision for big capital.
Well, can't blame people that would like to invest higher capitals with those type of coins that they prefer. First, it is their money and we can't stop them easily for doing it. If like to put as much as they can then the thing on their mind is the greater return that they'll be getting from it.
And that's why those that have been became millionaire on the altcoins might probably have inspired them. But even I, I wouldn't take that much risk with it.
846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: January 19, 2024, 11:50:19 PM
Your teacher is right, always take profits as no one has become broke doing that. What situation had made someone broke is when they just pass things and missed making the profits. That's why whenever you're trading, always prioritize to profit. There are good times to take it and there are times that you have to be patient, regardless of how long your wait is still at the end of it you need to take profit. Learn from your own experience if you ever missed a lot of opportunity of taking profits and use that as your motivation every time you trade.

I've seen that TAO from a random video explaining on how he keeps on investing on it. I've checked it and the early ones have definitely the gainers on this coin. I'd say that this is another missed opportunity as usual to those that haven't heard it during the early days of it last year. Very likely to see that there's more for it on the bull run and even we're not yet there, it's already one of the winners and best picks for those that have taken it when it was still two digits.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Instant Bitcoin on: January 19, 2024, 06:07:04 PM
You are describing the forks of Bitcoin and there were many of them, but thank goodness that they've been stopped a long time ago.
But still, some of them exist and trying to be relevant in this market. Don't believe with those forks and don't make yourself available to invest to any of them because all they think is Bitcoin is beatable. And in reality, they've been trying to conduct that as well for a very long time but none of them was able to do it to the real, actual and one and only Bitcoin.
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My btc full year plan 2024 on: January 19, 2024, 05:29:36 PM
$56k by the end of this year isn't that much but a safe prediction. And if it goes with the range of $30k, that's still fine but I think that will also be the start where we might see more than those ranges. The halving was done by the end of the year and that's like the activation time of the bull run. I don't know when particular it is going to start but we've got some ideas already when it will happen and usually every after the halving as the cycle continues. So, good luck with your plan this year.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra LUNA revival Imminent on: January 19, 2024, 04:54:41 PM
I'm not sure Luna will be in demand again, because trust won't come back.
When trust is broken, it can't be reverted and be back. This is what happened to Luna and I am not sure why people are still interested on it with the LUNC, thinking that it will come back.

a lot of people lost money because of that incident.
Not just with Luna but also with UST.

it won't be easily forgotten, even if we see a small increase like that, but it won't make luna like before.
It is not going to be back to the former, never. The supply of it is quite high and the ATH was too far from its current price and highly unlikely that if someone hopes for that, forget about it.
852  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: January 19, 2024, 04:30:58 PM
Do any of y'all work alongside any Gen Zers?

If you do the answer is simple and writings on the wall.

No majority won't be able to afford a house based on work ethic alone.

I don't know if it was COVID or what but something ain't clicking there with these gen Z people.

They will be the first generation to embrace have nothing and be happy.

Materialistic items like phones and shoes are about as good as it's gonna get for for 90% of em.

They got to make $120k+ a year to even play the game.
I agree, it's different on their era that they're not so thoughtful about achieving their dream houses. They've got a more and different approach on how they'll have their own happiness and goals on this time. While the housing have been rising the cost of it, they're just reverting their goal to other material things that they might find their own happiness. And speaking of them working, their work ethics is. It has become a hot topic recently.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's on your bullish wishlist on: January 19, 2024, 03:55:29 PM
My suggestion, how about switching to Bitcoin investment instead of using money for altcoin investment.
Many find investing in Bitcoin is not essentially needed because they think that it is expensive already. But look at the price now, there's a quick crash and it had stepped back to $40k once again. As for the altcoin investors like me and you, we know how important having Bitcoin as part of our portfolio but if op or the others think they don't need it, let them handle their own portfolio's.
The opinion of people who do not know Bitcoin as the best coin that does not end up being thrown away like the coins and tokens in their environment.
Expensive will not be a reason not to invest if they know what Bitcoin is for.
This decline does not indicate that Bitcoin will fall and will be worthless. Prices are currently still stable if you pay attention during 2023 and January 2024.

Investors who are aware that Bitcoin is a valuable investment asset and have a hedge will be happy with the current price because they can still make purchases before the predicted bullish price will occur soon.

op needs and is aware that Bitcoin is a future investment asset. Expensive, you can still do as much as you can financially by buying it consistently. Today you can afford $500, next week you can afford it again. When the market is bullish, the return will be greater than the amount of Bitcoin purchased so far.
We as investors that are aware of Bitcoin definitely see the worth on it and it's always the best choice. Despite that there have been a lot of altcoins that outperformed Bitcoin in terms of gains. It's not always the case, whilst if you're going to take a look at those altcoins that have gained more than Bitcoin. You can ask and try to find them where they are right now. And as for Bitcoin, it's still here and remaining as the king of this market no matter what new altcoin comes out.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we consider a project legitimate if it has been in existence for two years? on: January 19, 2024, 03:32:02 PM
Offers a multichain Yield Farming like i deposit BNB and get 10% daily on my investment i am curious about how this much rewards are sustainable ?
Mate, when you've said 10% daily I stopped reading all of what you're trying to say. It's likely a scam and you have to be aware of these gains that are not sustainable and more of a sign that the platform or project you've discovered is gonna scam you. It might be existing in two years already but that doesn't mean that they're already legitimate and passed the test of time. Now that you've mentioned that here, you're just trying to attract more investors that both of you likely to fall in the end.
855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was robbed, and the severe setback made me rethink a problem on: January 19, 2024, 02:53:49 PM
If you think that you need multisig why didn't you do it earlier? You said that you're into NFTs and this isn't the first time that happened so basically, you have some things that you've done that made you leak your private key. I guess that you're into airdrops as well or those projects that requires you sign up and you neglect the importance of keeping your private key. When it's come to those, you don't have to sign up using your private keys. Sorry with your loss, that's saddens me but you should have learned with your first lesson.
856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do exchanges work? on: January 18, 2024, 11:55:36 PM
That is normal and dynamic on this business. The rates are being done and adjusted by the demand of their traders and that's why it might be cheap on the other side and expensive on the known ones. That's because the exchange are just like the middlemen of this market.
Although for some market trades that they can do, they're the one that sets the price but still along and in line with the market price. I thought that you're going to ask on how they profit and if that's the next question on your mind then they earn from commissions each trade and as well as with the listings.

I also want to you give you some warning that if you've seen some exchange that has higher rates than the usual for selling or lower rates for buying. DYOR first, because it could be a scam exchange that will just trap your deposits. That's the reason why it's still best to rely on good and reputable exchanges, dex or cex.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Fall of ICOs: Lessons Learned on: January 18, 2024, 11:25:22 PM
That's the keyword about how scary it is, "the next big thing". When someone tells you that and endorses a project, you have to think of it many times because you'll never know if that person is telling you the truth.

I would say that 99% of the projects launched back then no longer exist today.
Most of them are but during 2016 ICOs, I'd say that it was the batch that many projects became successful but yeah, they're like temporal success and then eventually got dissolved by the market's new trends.
We have all learnt from our mistakes and now is the best time to utilize our experience and makes it work for us.
Some of us might have had different problems from the start and losing of funds due to the problem of making the wrong decisions that never suit us in making profits for ourselves. Many of the ICOs projects are no where to be found, this is a eye opener that whatever decisions we are making in the crypto sphere, we don't have to be too confidence or relax because anything can happen anytime.
Soon, we're going to see that most of the NFT projects and layer type of blockchains are nowhere to be found. But I am not saying that all of them are going to be gone but most of them and the best ones shall remain. This is what we always see in the market, the best ones stay and the bad ones are being eliminated and being forgotten until they're no longer liquid and have lost a lot of their volume.
858  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: January 18, 2024, 10:54:38 PM
I've been a victim of ponzi schemes in the past and that have taught me a lot of lesson on how to become a better investor and that's through researching. And that's where I am going to classify myself as a research investor. When someone approaches me and tells me of an unfamiliar investment, I won't dived in quickly with what's being shared to me. I'll do my own research before committing or passing to the person that have told me about what he'd found and if it's likely a scam, I'll give a warning.

Trading is something where you need to know analysis, money management, analysis risk, maintain loss, Control Your Emotions and so on. Well I believe its good to have your own stretegy rather than following others. But everyone has different mindset, so are for their trading Strategies. Can you share yours, so that other one could learn from you and can do improvement in himself? Thanks
Don't go against the market or simply means that don't trade at all but instead, HODL. That's the simplest trading strategy that you can ever know, why it is also a trading strategy? It's because you only have to trade when you are in profit and you don't have to rush in when you're checking the market. All you need to do is to accumulate while you can and whatever is the situation of the market either bullish or bearish but just like now, it seems bearish.
