121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cools After Trump De-Escalates War With Iran on: January 09, 2020, 01:15:12 PM

No war will happen? Bitcoin will go $6k then.  Speculations will still continue whether there is war or not.   Smiley

I watched the news that 15 missiles was released, at least two hit the US bases but didn't hurt anyone.  Clearly this is an escalation I don't think Trump can just calm that away with just an announcement to make Iran stop its plan to retaliate.

Trump is a tricky person. The de-escalation attempt of Trump is just to cover their military movement to strengthen their base in the area near Iran.  As of the Bitcoin price, I think this conflict and BTC price has no correlation at all.  It is just a mere coincident.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 08, 2020, 10:20:52 AM
Well when it comes to trusting people, I tend to scan this forum first for those who had took the same track. I don't use Telegram that much when it comes to communicating with someone else. I would take the same precaution in Facebook & Messenger.
I wonder how the OP was contacted by the dude though.

In a world of internet, there is one rule we should be aware of.  Do not trust anyone on the internet.  Though that is probably too extreme but it will keep yourself and stash safe.  Those message in the telegram regarding big amount including the case presented by OP is one way of some individual to milk  unsuspecting people of their money.  So whenever anyone approach us or send a message that we won this kind of stuff or offer a huge amount of money then we should be careful about it and be suspicious.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not being sold for $24,000 in Iran on: January 08, 2020, 09:39:35 AM
It might just be another propaganda to spread FOMO on investors not actually living in Iran. Though an increase in market price could be possible, especially in P2P exchanges, and analyzing the situation in Iran where people could demand Bitcoin but being internet censored makes it more rare and thus more valuable in money. But its true that validation lead to conclusion that there's no significant price increase.

It is actually, making reader thinks that it can be sold at $24k in Iran, while its price is around $8k today ($7k+ last week), those who don't think twice and investigate will surely fall for this trap and buy Bitcoin as soon as possible thus creating a demand to the market and if they are lucky create FOMO.  I wonder why does news always mess up things and tends to exaggerate situation.  That is not good.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Think Craig Wright is Satoshi and Why That Matters on: January 08, 2020, 09:12:35 AM

It never cross my mind that CW is Satoshi.  Satoshi had been on hiding so I believe it does not matter anymore whether CW is satoshi or not because Bitcoin had been taken over by several developers and I believe Bitcoin development is doing good even though it is somehow lagging (because f consensus, updates and upgrade is not easily done).
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that we touched $8,000, what's next? on: January 08, 2020, 08:16:46 AM
Bitcoin is having a small run, we just touched at $8000 as per Binance record, its 24 hours high is $8000.

https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT

What do you guys think that will happen next? is this the bull run we are long waiting?

Road to $10k.  I believe that is the next stop.  There are some prediction that Bitcoin may probably reach $10k in the next weeks.  I once thought that it was a bit impossible because the market that day had a strong signal of BTC price going down but I was wrong, all of a sudden Bitcoin price slowly getting support thus, we reach $8k now.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 08, 2020, 07:57:14 AM
i knew it,i think he dont like the taste of His Dick ,or maybe it is too small for him?lol

but at least this is the end of his career,if he did this for publicity?then i am surely he is a foolish one because this action dont bring him Popularity in good manners instead he is now a Loser trying to be a winner.

Yeah I guess it is the end of his career as influencer.  Though Mcafee provides us lots of entertainment during his shilling moments, I am sorry to those who fell to his tricks because lots of investors lost money following his advice.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not being sold for $24,000 in Iran on: January 07, 2020, 01:56:33 PM
Just like the news about Zimbabwe last time where the price was also at premium but the exchanges remained neutral for the price. Are you thinking of going there just to sell bitcoin? I won't be risking my life at the middle of the possible war to start by just selling at a higher rate.
I'll be okay to wait until the price goes up naturally rather than going there because of that advantage to arbitrage. The LBC prices looks really what the rumor is saying but it's still confusing.
The value of their money is too low and that’s why the price of bitcoin goes up but I also heard that this is just a fake news though it happen before on some places. I also don’t want to travel there just to convert my bitcoin into money, its pretty risky and if you have the money on that local exchange, you might not be able to convert it into fiat money. I don’t know, but i have to focus on the real value of bitcoin right now which can’t be fake.
It wouldn't be a fake news if it's happening in some places there. It's just a matter of choice and we don't have to choose even.
I don't also want to go there and sell the bitcoin's I've got, I'm not familiar with the country and the tension there is very hot so it's not advisable just for that.

It is probably happening but the conversion rate is a bit different since there is this open market stated by one of the reply here where usd  conversion is way higher than the official rate.  And if we calculate it, it will be around $7k (using free market rate).  I think this news was published to hype Bitcoin but it seems it does not work somehow.
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin pumping because of Tesla boy? on: January 07, 2020, 01:26:03 PM
Tesla founder Elon Musk famously supports Bitcoin via Twitter. But these days, the renaissance man is making news for other reasons.

Shares of Musk’s electric automaker, Tesla, spiked after the company beat sales forecasts for Q4. The robust prediction of 360,000 cars delivered was surpassed by 7,000 units. Such explosive growth appears to prove that Musk has weathered the worst of the storm.

Could this be the reason Bitcoin keeps pumping?

Of course, Elon Musk a.k.a. Tesla Boy is supporting Bitcoin at all costs on one of his tweets. Now he has other reasons why, and I think it’s a good thing as well that would really contribute to Bitcoin’s recent pump.

However, I would not really count on that because the scammers are lurking and waiting for the right time for Bitcoin to go even higher before making a massive dump. It’s just my own thoughts though, as I’m preferring those who are scammed by PlusToken or any other scams (which these scammers are still holding to some BTCs while waiting for bull run to commence).

I cannot find any relation between Bitcoin price and the spike in sales of that company.  Did they sell this cars with Bitcoin as sole payment?  I guess no...  Elon Musk indeed a supporter of Bitcoin but I do not think that he will compromise his company for Bitcoin's sake (buying Bitcoins from the company profit).

Though I can say the current price recovery is good and may start a rally but we all know that there is always a possibility that this might be a bull trap though I hope it is not.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 07, 2020, 12:53:47 PM
We don't need more proof that these guys can't put their dicks/money where their mouths are... do we?

They are just here to gather fame and be monetized.  They really don't care about anything but their own pocket.  Those stunts had earned them millions of clicks and followers thinking that they really are something.  Yet at the end, they are just some money grabbing guy that milked lots of money out of their viewer/follower/backer.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 07, 2020, 12:09:44 PM
I have been waiting for this moment for McAfee to show that he has no backbone to back up his word.  All his reasoning is just an excuse.  It is clear that we must not believe any word from this guy.  He is just a paid shill nothing more.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Is Manipulated on: January 07, 2020, 11:28:19 AM
As of my knowledge and experience, Bitcoin and its market cannot be manipulated by someone or even a group of people because the market and BTC's price is defined by the trades and volume of it, especially the holders. Hence, even there are someone with big BTC and sells it low making the price low too, it wouldn't necessarily drop the BTC's price.

If you look at the market history, there are cases where whales dump a huge amount of BTC across the trading platform that resulted to Bitcoin crash within that day until the effect of that dump diminish.  I am saying that it does affect the price of BTC if coupled with FUD, it can even crash the price lower thus manipulation comes in.
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 06, 2020, 02:07:08 PM
Following the history  of price chart of 2016(previous halving year), I think we will not see any pump this month.  Probably more on sideway movement and a little  price recovery before the major event (Bitcoin halving).  You can check the chart here
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going for $8.570 following recent information on: January 06, 2020, 01:42:50 PM
I believe this is just an assumption, a mere guess of the Bitcoin prices by simply taking the average calculation if I am not mistaken.  We shouldn't make this graph a fact of Bitcoin movement because Bitcoin price may go either way.  Though I can see that Bitcoin nay possibly reach $8k+ because it slowly gaining momentum in the market.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Is Manipulated on: January 06, 2020, 01:19:12 PM
No doubt the price of bitcoin is been manipulated by few rich whales, but they just can't pump the price to $1M neither will they be able to dump the price to $100. This will have to determined by the community and other heavy traders. Well the manipulation can be healthy if one knows how to trade the market with the whales.

I think whales don't have to spend that huge amount to manipulate Bitcoin prices.  All they have to do is ride some bad news and FUD the market.  Then make their huge stash of Bitcoin to be on the sell wall and sell some of it to make it look that the market is crashing.  Once the prices is down they then tend to buy at the bottom and ride the good news again to put hype on the market.  Then rinse and repeat.  They gain extra cash and extra BTC along the process thus making them bigger whale.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 06, 2020, 10:08:30 AM
~snipped

I also had this kind of invitation but I refused it as soon as I heard his scheme.  He even offered me the same thing that he will be the one to make a deposit and all I have to do is just play it and he will let me win.  He also said that he is one of the operator of that site and he wanted to bag some BTC and he needed that kind of help.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You the local Bitcoin joke in town? on: January 06, 2020, 09:30:56 AM
Now, this might sound strange, but a few years ago Bitcoin was doing very well and people sat up straight and Bitcoin grabbed their

attention. (Around 2017 when the Bitcoin price reached it's all time high of around $18 000 per bitcoin.)  Many people started to take

Bitcoin seriously and they thought it would go mainstream soon.

I was one of them and I told that to everyone that took the time to listen and some of them did. A lot of my friends bought bitcoins at

the all time high, believing that the price would skyrocket to $20 000 or even $50 000 per coin. As you know this did not happen and the

price dropped with more than 80%.

Since then a lot of us Bitcoiners became the laughing stock and the butt of the joke for the people who were too scared to take the

risk.

I hope we can prove them wrong and that we can turn this around in 2020 and have the last laugh, but I hope this is not too late for

the majority of my friends who are holding on with the tip of their fingers.  Sad

As much as we wanted to prove them wrong, only time can do it.  We cannot force anything to happen especially Bitcoin price movement unless we have the huge fund and big stash of Bitcoin.  If they (your friend) still believe with what you said, it will never be too late but once they had give up   no matter how high Bitcoin goes up on the future, it can do nothing to prove to them that they are wrong since they already suffered losses the moment they sold their Bitcoin holdings.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins are you bullish about in 2020? on: January 05, 2020, 02:37:16 PM
Have not look at the altcoin market that much these day because of the bloodbath going on.  If there is some coins or token that is potential to be bullish this year, that would probably be ETH, and BNB, .  With the current upgrade of ETH, the effect probably had not kicked in yet but I have a feeling that it will soon.  CZ can easily make BNB bullish if he wanted to spread hype and pump the price, I believe it is on an accumulation stage ATM.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: January 05, 2020, 02:00:15 PM
Tokenpay scammed their bounty hunters so I wanted this project to die soon.  I feel sorry to those who worked hard to promote this project.  The team put blame on the management team's incompetence but if they really wanted to pay the bounty hunters they can because they had the sheet for so long and yet no action was made.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: January 05, 2020, 01:07:16 PM
Well for me, it is somehow important because it includes all of the information about the project that they are trying to propose. Sometimes, the information on the whitepaper doesn't fit on the actual project itself so we also need to analyze if they are being honest on the information that they have included on it.

If a project does not have a whitepaper, then you have to question the existence of it at all. But then again,,, a good WP does not mean a good project. And in the same opposite way a bad WP does not mean a non profitable project. Guess the biggest example to all should be EOS. Shitty copy pasted whitepaper and people put everything in it and it still became profitable!

Profitable does not mean successful project.  What I am trying to say is, the market can be manipulated and can the price of a token can be pumped and some maybe caught with this hype and some will profit, but a good project is the one that delivers roadmaps.  and the one the delivers those that are written on whitepaper are those that have capable developers.  Imagine, they have the fund to finish the project but many failed because they have incompetent developers.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COCOS WILL BE RICH? on: January 05, 2020, 12:39:41 PM
seems like you are spamiing thread and try to made FOMO, i thought you are buying high and trying to made some intterest that can hit your sell order
It seems that it is actually his intention  Grin He is promoting a shitcoin where there is no one wants to trade,

And it is not effective.  I think he should try harder and give more details about the project, goal and the team.  Investors today are more intelligent than before.  They are not swayed with price hype unless it is backed by strong development or announcement.

Also great deals. Hopefully next time they will have 40-50 sats. I bought $ 7,000 on 9 sats. !
After buying COCOS at 9 sats, its current buy order in binance is at 7 sats, and now he is trying to get more buyers to meet his sell order and earn a profit for himself.

Indeed, though I can say his timing is off, he should have created a hype thread when the price is really rallying.
