121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much interest do you earn from your USDT? on: April 21, 2024, 09:07:23 PM
For me, staking is not that intriguing and I would rather trade using the USDT that I may stake to get less than 5% in return for a whole year while I'm sure I can make that much in a day or maybe more than that, the only thing that it would require from me is to be knowledgeable enough to make more successful trades than failed ones so that I can stay profitable, and even if I lose more trades, I should recover the loss with proper management of my funds and the trades that I'll make.

I know that exchange platforms are generally trusted because they have been around for quite long and there is no sudden risk of them going bankrupt or running away with their customers funds mostly because they are licensed, however, we can't forget the past where things like this happened, this is why I don't find it safe to keep a large amount of funds in an exchange platform that too for such a long time.

So for me, trading is much better than staking.
122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Simple practices to improve trading (2). on: April 21, 2024, 08:53:37 PM
The same information can be gotten yourself if you find out how, and when you find out how, it becomes a lifelong skill because you will always know how to stay informed.

Even though it's not that difficult, some people are too lazy to do that which is why they look for shortcuts. Shortcuts for trading can either be copy-trading features provided by exchange platforms or joining signal groups on Telegram or other messaging apps where you get trading signals to get profit which I have never tried myself so I can't share any experience. However, I have always wondered how can they have so many successful trades and still beg members to join their premium groups only for $10 to $15 a month.

You can find hundreds of unsatisfied and frustrated newbie traders on social media all the time, those are the ones who can't get rid of this dependency and when they don't get success as they expected, they become angry and frustrated, might even abuse the market and cryptocurrencies for their losses but they would never blame themselves for not trying to learn something before they got into trading and blindly following others.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: April 21, 2024, 06:25:44 PM
What you see around your life needs to be compared between the positive side and the negative side. I always remember one of the proverbs that is very popular in my country, "Prepare an umbrella before it rains" as motivation to prepare everything before something undesirable happens when I reach retirement age.

In human life, uncertainty always exists as no one is able to predict any event with an accuracy level of up to 100%, so vigilance is very necessary as a form of anticipation of this uncertainty. It's very important to prepare a retirement plan before something unexpected happens, so before it's too late, you need to make preparations so you don't regret it later.

Uncertainty in life is inevitable, no doubt, so you are right that people should prepare while they can before it's too late. However, we can't ignore the fact that some people aren't able to do it in the first place.

If a person is doing pretty well, they have everything they need in life and everything they have always wanted, they are living a luxurious life and spending money on everything they want to do, but they haven't done anything for their future, no savings, no investments, no assets built, nothing at all. Such people should be blamed for their carelessness.

But, if someone doesn't earn enough, is living a normal life, and has no money left by the end of the month, you can't blame them for not planning for their retirement or anything.
124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be more visible in the forum as a beginner on: April 21, 2024, 05:31:40 PM
In my eyes, a newbie should focus more on learning then on gaining merits or recognition. Overtime when they learn things properly and apply that knowledge when they create posts, then they automatically get merits for their posts.

Let me tell you, newbies, who have found this forum themselves either through Google or any other source when they were looking for some information and stumbled upon this forum coincidentally, they wouldn't come here and make their first post asking about merits or how they can rank up because they didn't come to this forum for that in the first place but their motive behind it was to learn something or maybe read a post that they found on Google when doing some research.

However, newbies who are referred to this forum by someone else and have been told that they can earn money from here if they have a higher rank and to get a higher rank, they would now require merits, they come here and start asking about Merit immediately after creating an account because all they care about is ranking up so that they can start earning money.

This is the actual reason behind it as far as I understand it.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin?? History of cryptocurrency. on: April 21, 2024, 12:21:49 PM
Finally, should you invest in Bitcoin? Anything that tempts you to get rich easily should not be invested in. Cryptocurrencies of all kinds, including Bitcoin, are still illegal in many parts of the world. But you can invest a percentage of your amount in the world at this stage. Bitcoin is a fad. I don't know. Satoshi Nagakoto I find it very strange that one person or group of people invented something like Bitcoin. Which can be an alternative to currency all over the world or has become an established digital currency. Yet this man or a group of men does not come before the world and say that we have made it.

Let me be honest, I didn't read the whole post and skipped to the end and read this paragraph that I'm going to respond to.

1. Why should Bitcoin tempt one to get rich easily? Does it say in its whitepaper that Bitcoin is a scheme where you get a certain percentage in return if you buy it? No, it doesn't, then why would someone think that way? It's because it has a growth mechanism and it tends to go up in price over time, but that is just one side of the coin, the other side says that it drops significantly as well, why do those who think it is a get-rich-quick scheme consider this fact as well?

2. It seems that you didn't do much research before coming here and writing a whole book in a single post because if you had done that, you would know that the creator of Bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto and not "Satoshi Nagakoto", and the reason why he or his group decided to stay anonymous is unknown to us but we can assume that he or they knew that if Bitcoin becomes famous in the future, it can be bad for them to be known to the public because it can become life-threatening. Imagine if Satoshi was known today, he wouldn't be able to live a peaceful live, wouldn't even be free or alive by now.
126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I almost become a millionaire on: April 21, 2024, 10:56:57 AM
Some regrets will go along with us our whole life and we can't get rid of them, and everyone in the world must have some stories where they have done or haven't done something that they regret.

Talking about personal experiences, when I first came to know about Bitcoin, though it wasn't too early, it was priced at less than $500 at that time. Unfortunately, I was a student back then and didn't have a source of income or any funds I could use to buy any, and even if I had money, I don't think I would buy because even though I was intrigued, I was too new to make such a decision.

As time went by, I kept my involvement active, I used to use Bitcoin faucets to claim small amounts of satoshis and keep them in an online wallet that I had created back then. Then a time came when I managed to earn some Bitcoin from some work that I did, I was very happy, but since I didn't think for a long time, I sold those Bitcoins to buy a motorcycle for myself because I needed one. I regretted that decision badly later on when Bitcoin went up significantly.
127  Other / Meta / Re: Introducing scammers to the forum. on: April 21, 2024, 09:35:50 AM
I don't think they are intelligent. An intelligent person will never live a life of a scammer. He will find a way to bring bread and butter in a legitimate way so that the business can sustain for longer term and make a positive impact for him and his family.

I believe scammers are lazy bastards. They can't do a job or work to earn a living but instead, they think of scamming others and eating what they their money that they have earned with hard work and dedication. They might not be intelligent, but they practice a lot which makes them good enough to pull off the scams on vulnerable people, make them face an experienced person who has quick thinking abilities and they would get shit for their tricks that some people consider intelligence.

They target vulnerable people because they know they aren't going to get anything if they try to scam people with knowledge, so they always look for weaknesses among their preys and then trick them with their words and actions which can be obvious for someone smart but aren't for someone who doesn't know much about these things which is the reason why they get success.

You have been on this forum since July 2022 but you did not know what Meta board is about. That is shameful. This is not Mack Zuckerberg Meta but Bitcointalk. Only discussion about what is pertaining to this forum is discussed on Meta here.

Even though he doesn't have much knowledge about these things despite being around for more than a year now, let's not be so harsh on him. It doesn't take a lot to be friendly even when you feel frustrated or irritated by what the other person has done.  Smiley If you look at his post history, a lot of his threads/topics have been moved from the first page of his post history.

@OP, as suggested in the first post above, move your topic to the correct board. Marketplace might be the correct section but it isn't very active, so moving it to the Beginners & Help section should also do the work because you will get enough attention and responses regarding your need there as well.
129  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Pakistan on: April 21, 2024, 08:48:14 AM
Bhai ye Pakistan hai. Or hukumat choron ki hai. Yani agar koi ghareeb aadmi kahin sy kuch pesy kama hi raha hai to wo in sy hazam nai hota hai. Barry logon ko ye haath nai daalty lekn chotty logon par in ka panja tang kiya hota hai.

Kher mera apna account block kiya inhon ny. Mujy P2P sy payment aai Eid sy pehly. Ab jo amount mujy aai or jis ny ki. Us kaa account block ho gaya. Us kaa huwa to mera bhi block kar diya. Mujy Branch Manager ki call ai kehta ap ky khilaf report darj hui hai ky ap ny fraud sy pesy wasul kiye hen. Yani hadd hi nai hogai. Ab kal branch visit karun gaa dekhun gaa kaya kehty hen. Ajeeb situation bana di hai.

Bro bilkul sahi baat ki hai aapne. Jahan itne itne bade paimane pe frauds aur scams aur hazaron gair kanooni kaam ho rhe hain wahan inke hath nai pohnchte na yeh kuch keh sakte hain lekin jahan kisi gareeb k kahin se kch paise ajayen inko usmen masla nazar ane lag jata hai.

Jo cheez aapke sath hui hai wo mere sath b ho chuki hai pichle saal December k mahine men, P2P trade ki waja se mera aur ghar men aek aur account hai wo bhi block hua hai aur masla abitak clear nai hua. Kabhi kehte hain statement do, kabhi kehte hain proof of payment aur kabhi kuch, aur aap sab kuch kar bhi lo tab bhi kehte hain aage se response nai aa rha masla hal nai ho raha aap FIA men complain karen ya Banking Mohtasib men complain darj karen matlab had krdete hain.

Yahi waja hai k itne log is mulk ko chor k bahar jaana chahte hain kyunke haqeeqat yahi hai k yeh mulk gareebon ki nai hai yahan sirf wo log azada zindgi guzar sakte hain jinke pas boht paisa aur power ho, aur agr aapke pas yeh dono cheezen nai hain toh aap har waqt tayyar raho kyunke kabi bhi kuch bhi ho sakta hai aapke sath.
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: April 21, 2024, 07:58:45 AM
Sonce Bitcoin is just a tool for everyone to achieve financial freedom I think there is the higher chance for that depending on how and what people are doing with their Bitcoin investments. Though there are a lot of ways to earn or accumulate Bitcoins without spending our own money but yeah it all matters on our strategy to rise up from poverty and I believe it is very possible.

How exactly? You see, the poor population in an economy is the one that doesn't have access to basic amenities, electronic devices, and internet services is a far thing for them and one can't even know about Bitcoin if they don't have these things. You can't expect someone living in a hut made of plastic bags eating once a day to know anything about technology and innovations such as Bitcoin, and if they don't know anything or have any way to access it, I don't see how they can utilize it to end their poverty.

And, even if they manage to gain access to an internet connection, buy the cheapest device, and gain access to tools and stuff to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, they wouldn't have the funding to get involved. Bitcoin doesn't do magic, you can't just create a wallet, read some magical lines, and receive Bitcoin in your wallet. You need money to earn money, and Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies work with the same rule.

So, I don't agree that Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency can end poverty because they are only available for people who are doing pretty well because others can't utilize them to achieve gains.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Problems with a foreign partner on: April 21, 2024, 07:50:59 AM
Hello everyone from Ottawa. We encountered unexpected problems with a partner from Belarus. Tell me, is it possible to solve them at a distance?

How can anyone tell you anything if they don't know what you are talking about? When asking for assistance or guidance, make sure you are making everything clear to the readers because no one would know what kind of unexpected problem you have had with the partner and what you are doing in general. So, when you are asking for something, try to explain everything properly so that when we read it, we understand what you are talking about and then if we know something about it, we can assist you with it.

Do this: Edit your post, and add enough content that describes what you are referring to and what are you involved in and what kind of a problem did you encounter with the partner that is from another location, and then if someone from the community have knowledge about it, they can guide you properly.
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always do your own research (DYR) on: April 20, 2024, 07:11:14 PM
So instead of depending on others, be dependent on yourself and try to give importance to your own decisions.

It's unfortunate but most people who are joining this industry lately have been more interested in following others and being dependent on them than in learning the skills themselves and doing the things themselves. It's not that hard to learn how to trade how the market works and how you can track the movements of different cryptocurrencies or use indicators to have at least a close prediction for their future prices and base your trades accordingly, but yet, most people are too lazy to do that.

This is the reason why signal groups are filled with members who are always eager and ready to get trading signals that they can follow to earn some profit without doing any research themselves even to verify that the signals provided are correct or they are just made up signals without any authenticity only to show that they are working and providing signals.
133  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Pakistan on: April 20, 2024, 06:58:20 PM
Mohammad Amir is Back From Pakistan Cricket Tim. i love Pakistan from Bangladesh.

Back with a blast, I would say. 2 wickets and conceded only 13 runs in 3 overs, but then there is one thing we can't ignore. Although the bowling attack looks pretty solid, New Zealand is playing with youngsters and there aren't a lot of experienced players on their side probably due to IPL as most of their senior players are busy in IPL.

Iske bawajood, our bowlers bowled really well, aur bowling attack both solid lag hai, Amir, Naseem, Shaheen aur phr Abrar, spin back up k liye Shadab, Chacha Ifti aur Saim Ayub bhi part-time bowling karleta hai.
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Question] In Regards to using translators on local boards on: April 20, 2024, 06:49:57 PM
I don't think there is any rule for anyone to not use a translator to understand what someone is writing on a local board that isn't their native language board, it's not like you are doing something wrong, everyone has the right to read what is written publicly in the forum, local boards are open to everyone to visit and read and observe if they want to, you are not supposed to participate using a translator since it isn't your local board, but there are exceptions to that as well in my opinion but only if it's very important.

@Xal0lex is one of the moderators in our local thread, Pakistan, and he often posts there when he needs to, and when he does that, he writes the post in English first, and then write its translation in Urdu, the native language of the board, right below his message. Look at this example. Since it's not his native language, he probably uses a translator to do that.

So it's not like you are going to get banned or anything for doing that, but whether it's considered good or bad depends on what your intentions are.

P.S.: Don't take that example too seriously, it was just for reference. He is a moderator and he has to monitor the board and has obligations, and one shouldn't take that as an example to misuse this thing.
135  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 20, 2024, 09:55:46 AM
It could be because of the excess of low-quality posts in the section, but if you think that the problem exists because of a lack of merits in circulation in that area, then that problem can only be solved if there is a dedicated merit source assigned to that board.

It should be someone who is generally active in there so that he can open and read each thread to see if they can find merit-worthy posts and merit them. Normally if there are a lot of low-quality posts, as said by others, most merit sources or people carrying a lot of smerits to give away will have the board on ignore, but an active and dedicated merit source will go through it all.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: April 20, 2024, 09:30:01 AM
What path will Bitcoin chose following the halving

We will find out shortly, I guess.

If this event will lead to more Bitcoin related innovations?

I'm not sure because other than the fact that the block reward has been cut in half, nothing else changed. The only thing that might trigger more innovations is the increment in the adoption level of Bitcoin because of the halving.

If this will lead to more people getting involved in Bitcoin

Sure, that's the basic reason why halving is considered to be the reason behind a bull run because more people get involved, hence the price increases because of the increasing demand.

While I am optimistic that market will respond positively to the halving, initial reaction does not seem to support that, hence many will be wondering what is going on.

The halving doesn't magically make the price go up, it hasn't been one day yet, we will see the effects based on how investors react to the halving. The positive side will only be seen if there is money flowing in.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 20, 2024, 09:00:42 AM
Finally, congratulations to every bitcoiner for witnessing the 4th halving. It's my third, but it almost feels like it was yesterday when I first came to know about Bitcoin, it doesn't feel like it has been so many years already, Bitcoin has come a long way since then and it has to go a long way still, and hopefully, I can be around to witness a lot more halving events in the future.

Many people are worried thinking that the market might dip more after the halving event, many are optimistic for a quick growth, but based on historical charts and figures, it will be a mixture of both for the next few months. We shouldn't be expecting any deep corrections or dips, but we should also not expect any steep pumps as well, it will take its time, probably, and we need to be patient as investors.

Those who sell early might miss out but what can be said, they might have been waiting for long enough and they can't do it anymore, but I would suggest that we at least give it a few months before we sell even if it goes beyond $73k which is the current all-time high.
138  Economy / Economics / Re: Also consider your mental State of health while investing for wealths. on: April 19, 2024, 05:29:09 PM
Investing your life savings is never a good idea no matter how good an investment is. Still, some people are simply too careless to understand this and act wisely when making investments, and this is mostly because their minds get overshadowed by greed. They lose the ability to think critically about the situation and the future outcomes and consequences of their investment in case it doesn't turn out to be successful.

Someone who makes investments does it so that they can have an extra source of income and investments should only be done if there is money kept idle that isn't for savings or anything and one wants to utilize them so that they can earn some money with them instead of keeping them idle for long. No one invests money or starts businesses with it if they can't afford to lose it because investments and businesses can fail sometimes and if you can't digest that, you shouldn't do it in the first place.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Less than 24 hours to Bitcoin halving and my Birthday! on: April 19, 2024, 08:29:17 AM
As @Poker Player said, maturity is when you realize that your birthday means that 1 year of your life has been deducted from the total years that you will live, and that shouldn't make you happy, people generally celebrate their birthdays for the day they came in the world but logically, it's something a bit sad.

Anyway, I wish you a happy birthday, and may this next year of your life bring a lot of joy, happiness, and success for you and your loved ones.

Let's talk about the halving event. So, it's finally time to witness what the whole industry has been waiting for since the last time Bitcoin hit $69k and started crashing from there, although investors from that time might have sold their assets when Bitcoin marked a new all-time high recently, those who bought in the bear market must be very excited about it and waiting to see what the near future beholds.
140  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Advice for a young millionaire on: April 18, 2024, 02:29:21 PM
What financial advice would you give to a young boy, probably, at the age of 18 who just received a whole lots of money from the inheritance of his late father who was a trader and multimillionaire in the textile industry?

The boy is the only child of the widower and does not seem to be interested in the same line of business and even when he does, he requires more maturity to be able to manage the business such as graduating from the college, etc.

I'm no financial expert to be advising a millionaire even if it's an 18-year-old boy, however, I can say that if he isn't interested in the same line of business as his father, he should go for what he wants to do himself. He should first complete his education and then start working on creating the business that he has always been interested in or wanted to do.

Apart from that, I feel he will need to stay safe and secure because there is a lot of evil out there, and people in this era can do anything for money and financial gains, even the family members can't be trusted when it comes to this.

If the widower is a strong woman, she should be able to manage things until her son becomes eligible and learns everything so that he can take all the responsibilities.
