Only thing I can note is that your build doesn't pick up my two IceFurys.  It works fine with the 10 Antminers, two Jalapenos and 3 proxies.  Doesn't even pick up the NFYs if I specify them in the command line.

Make sure you used Zadig to install the driver for the IceFurys. It is needed for those. I am using that exact same Windows build to run IceFurys and Antminers without issue.

Ah, OK.  I just moved the IceFurys to my BBB, so no big fuss.

Any update on overclocking the Antminer U1?

Just going to need time. It's not difficult, just a lot on my plate (I have a day job and another side job outside of all this Bitcoin bidness  Grin)

I also want to try to figure out how to properly ID these buggers so I can tell them from BEs.

The good news is I got in touch with Bitmaintech and they are providing me with info to keep development going so that should be a great help.

Cool.  Smiley  Been running about 12 hours now solid with your Windows build.

1203  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PSU help - mining blades on: January 07, 2014, 07:07:43 PM
You need a Phoenix connector, looks like a 2-pin version.  They're used a lot in the commercial AV industry, so any place that does AV stuff should be able to supply them.  You'll need some sort of 12V PSU to power the blades, usually a ATX PSU will do the trick.

RS have the connectors, you just need to figure out which one...

Having to pay the import tax personally is discouraging and off-putting.  I'd rather your company paid it, so I don't have to go through all the ball-ache of paying it myself.

What's up with that?

Hey HellDiverUK,

You can collect from our store.  Via the webshop, select collect from store and VAT will be added.

I'm in N. Ireland, so unfortunately I can't collect. Sad

i have win xp

i must install something else first?HuhHuh?

How about installing an OS that's less than 13 years old?   Roll Eyes

i bought a miner with 5 GPU

There's your first mistake.  You're a year too late for that sort of mining.

Did you do any research at all before dropping $5k on pointlessly slow and power-sucking hardware?

1209  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitmain AntMiner U1 Tips & Tricks on: January 07, 2014, 01:00:58 PM
nwoolls' version of bfgminer works properly with these miners.  WAY better than the botched cgminer supplied.

Getting 17GH from 10 U1's using bfg, was only seeing 11GH with cg.

good.  I need to see if bfgminer will allow for oc.

It doesn't at the moment from the TUI.  I haven't had a chance to try it via command line, because I'm working remotely and don't want to mess things up.  Overclocking may not be available yet, either, I don't know.  Check the bfgminer thread I guess.
1210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: January 07, 2014, 11:41:13 AM
I've got my new cube running at 33gh/s but efficiency only says 85%. It's on a switch with 10 blades, all pointing at Bfgminer running in proxy mode. Any ideas if I can do anything to make this thing run around 95% like my other cube??

Edit: just added proxy to my Raspberry Pi and it's running a little bit better but not quite stabilized. Regardless, better, we'll see how it goes I guess. Maybe it was network traffic fighting with all the blades for the same proxy??

Edit2: well, pushing to my Rasberry Pi solved the issue, efficiency is around 94% and gh/s is climbing above 33... In the process one of my USB erupters got knocked out of play, but powering off the Rpi eventually fixed it so that all the connected devices work along with the proxy for the cube. Cool stuff, considering another Rpi for my cube arriving in a few days, will see how it goes.

The Cubes work better with Slush's proxy due to Longpoll support.  I think Luke-Jr is adding longpoll on a future version of BFG.

I found in the 1st Cube this component with some black things... like burnt !

It's called a capacitor.
1212  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: U1 antminer USB sticks 0.08 unit (500/500 sold) COMPLETE on: January 07, 2014, 11:28:37 AM
Just to confirm that these things work MUCH better using bfgminer.

Check out the bfgminer thread, nwoolls has a custom version posted there.  I'm getting 16GH from my 10 units, compared to 11GH when running them on cgminer.

Full support should be there in the next version of bfgminer (which is due real soon).

What seems to be the issue?

Posting in the wrong forum would be the biggest one.
1214  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPENED for Chili on: January 07, 2014, 10:44:48 AM
I'm thoroughly confused - is it still possible to buy one of these things with chips installed?

Edit: After having read the thread completely, I think I'll pass.  I have enough stress keeping the Cube running reliably.  Roll Eyes

It doesn't look like it's connecting properly at all - if you're using slush's proxy you should see a LongPoll connection.
1217  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Ice Fury (nano fury) support thread. on: January 07, 2014, 09:29:03 AM
^^^

Adding dwc_otg.speed=1 brings the Pi's USB down to USB1.1 speed.  This is a kludge at best, especially considering the Pi's NIC runs off the same USB bus.  You're essentially totally nerfing the Pi's USB and NIC throughput to a total 12Mb (taking off protocol overhead you're less than 10Mb).

1218  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Ice Fury - missing part on: January 07, 2014, 09:23:20 AM
Where did you find the "IceFury"?

Same place as everyone else, at a guess?   Huh
1219  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Would running a P2Pool node reduce my latency? on: January 07, 2014, 09:21:34 AM
I'm considering mining on a decent hash rate pool in order to reduce my variance, but the nearest I could find was in the US and Europe (about 8000km each).

That means there would probably be a network latency problem.

Why do you think there would be a latency problem?

Probably most of european miners use US based pools, and there's no latency issues.  In fact, running your own p2pool node is probably worse if you've got a bad internet connection.

Any chance of a Windows binary with ANT support?  Screenshot is very nice and all, but I'm loathed to run cg (with all the zdiag and WinUSB bollocks fecking up the USB drivers) to get these things working. Smiley

Thanks.  Can't be any broken than cgminer.  Grin  Will try it shortly (when Remote Desktop cooperates).

Edit: Running a treat after the great driver-shuffle-of-doom to get rid of WinUSB.  Roll Eyes
