1221  Economy / Gambling / Re: Promote Your Gambling Platform for FREE on: July 15, 2023, 08:29:09 PM
Are you ready to take your crypto casino, games, and betting platforms to the next level? Look no further than the TFC Economy, the premier destination for promoting your services within the thriving cryptocurrency community.

Why should i promote for a gambling site i dont know about without a request of my service for doing such promotional offer, we have to be careful in some things we do because it may be termed an abuse on some platforms in which they may not like the meane through which we make those promotions, joining your WhatsApp platform is not a good advice enough for someone to take because of the varieties of activities that might be going on there, any gambling platform that needs a better marketing should take advantage of this forum signature campaign and advertise itself.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 15, 2023, 07:53:03 PM
When the OP doesn't have the knowledge to spend his money then why start with gambling?

Alot might be going on in his mind when he first made this at the point of choosing between being a Gambler or a crypto users whereas some have made it look more of doing a crypto trading as gambling which is wrong, if he gambles then he risk the chance of loosing his money but when he make use of his cryptocurrency for trading instead of gambling, he may not end up loosing everything but only little or rather gain more

this is indeed quite strange to me, it means that OP has absolutely no capacity to manage finances.

There are individual differences and we may not tell now if OP is a newbie in gambling and he's trying to just get along with gambling, if he can't risk money or loose it then he shouldn't go near gambling at all because it has it own risk presented in such manners.
1223  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 15, 2023, 11:39:35 AM
Indeed, the impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine which has been going on for almost 1 year has had a major impact on the world economy. Many countries in Europe have experienced food shortages as a result of Russia banning exports, especially since oil prices have soared. If the war is not finished soon, it is very likely that almost the entire world will experience an economic downturn.

We cannot pretend that nothing is being affected at the cause of this lingering war and this has already caused many economic distortions from international countries having ties with both Russia and Ukraine because they don't want to be one sided against the other, i remember the move by some African countries that they make attempts in approach the two parties on the issue and address them on how they could hold back the unity that has cooexisted before and live together in peace in other for them to have a restoration of many opportunities that have gone at the cause of the fight, many countries were already affected directly or indirectly.
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What term to use? Halving or Halvening? on: July 15, 2023, 11:12:15 AM

I think halving is fit better than halvening because the Bitcoin block reward is divided every 4 years and the another divided part is disappeared. If the divided part isn't disappeared, then we can call it halve IMO.

But I'd like to see a better term than halving because halving is too general. It's like holding, but in cryptocurrency we're use hodling term.

Well in the common context of how this is being used on the forum, we often use "halving" and this represent the half reward of the block reward being calculated from the previous one, i bitcoin network we can always make use of halving while the other half is the commonly used term for dividing something into two out of the bitcoin context, so the use of Halving might just be the unique way of referring to bitcoin half of block reward every four years, you're also correct about that mate.
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin mixers often accused of laundering money? on: July 15, 2023, 07:39:58 AM
In your opinion, how to prevent the use of bitcoin as a means of money laundering? While we may not recommend going to KYC, it is useless and the anonymity of bitcoins will be lost.

The government have been trying the impossibilities they know themselves that can't be regulated, some good examples were already made from above comments, government cannot control every of human activities effectively, they have been raising campaigns over child abuse, some do drugs dealings but yet people make use of this same thing for the good and the bad intentions despite they don't mind the jail terms conditions and while same drugs are used in the pharmaceutical industries for human health, which means inherently every thing has a good and bad side just as we have in people as well, there are good and bad people but we all live together.

To this day, many bitcoin mixers have been caught in money laundering cases, such as Chipmixer, Tornado Cash, Bitcoin Fog, and others. Apart from that, even though the bitcoin mixer users are at fault, those who make the mistake of using a mixer as a way of covering up their crimes, why is the Bitcoin mixer platform also considered guilty? Or is there a conspiracy between them?

If you're seeking for privacy with the use of a bitcoin mixer there's nothing bad in that, now when we discover the risk in using one and the threat they suffer from government regulations then it's better for one to look for a best alternative means to using them, maybe by running a full node transaction using bitcoincore could be more encourage, mixers are not guilty of anything just as banks fan accommodate opening bank account for anyone, they are open for making their own business as every other organizations operates.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 14, 2023, 05:28:42 PM
Trying to cheat a casino cam only be fine when you don't have much money in your account and don't have the plan to stay for a very long time in the casino because it is certain that the person will be ban or account locked as quick as possible.

There's nothing fine in giving an attempt to cheat when knowing that the end result will always be banned, doing what is not right cannot last but a few moments, the casinos also has security measures taken to tackle every attempted means to cheat on their system and the gambler will end loosing instead of looting the casino.

Many of these casinos are always strict and ready to penalize us when we do something contrary to there terms and conditions especially when the person a has some money in there account. It will be unwise for us to try and cheat a casino when we know that the casino can in any ways freeze our account for breaking there team's and conditions.

I think in this kind of scenario, they will not temporary ban the user account but give it a permanent ban even though they may try to subject such user to more protocols under KYC requirements but his account may not get unlocked at the end after wasting his time as well on false hope that his account may get unlocked through the process.
1227  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Books Written in Pidgin English on: July 14, 2023, 05:18:14 PM
I am working on a book project written for our local audience and someone suggested that it will be more marketable as an audiobook if it is in pidgin English. The novelty of the idea fascinated me but I am not sure of the commercial viability.

As you have suspected already, come to think of it from this aspect as well that how many people that speaks pidgin English do read books or will be interested in reading books written in pidgin, the content of what you're also writing matters as well as having already made market for it where there are people waiting for the launch to buy and read, maybe under an organization or society group, aside this I can't recommend someone to make move for doing such.

Have you read books written in pidgin English?

I've seen some but never go through them to read

Will you buy a book written in pidgin English?

No but i can buy for someone who might be interested or in need of such.
1228  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: July 14, 2023, 05:04:54 PM
Quote from: Charles-Tim
Bitcoin price increased from ₦24,275,000 to ₦25,751,000 yesterday and reached above the year-to-date high. This happened after a United States Federal District Judge ruled that XRP is not a security. The United States SEC lawsuit against Ripple Labs has been since 2020. As yesterday favoured Ripple Lab, people buy cryptocurrencies and they increased in price.
The new moved of BTC really renew some holder mind not to sell their BTC than to buy more and, continue holding till d price hit #40,000,000 before dey can sell. But d price of BTC was #24,275,000 over some days before d price increase to #25,751,000, i don't think it bcos of d united state SEC lawsuit against Ripple lab that made d price to increase higher yesterday.

This is just a tip of an iceberg and we should expect more coming sooner from the bitcoin market as we are planning on getting out of the dip market before the end of this year, and what the next year rate may get to is what remains unpredictable and we cannot say precisely the rate it will to high but will definitely surge, we don't know as well how long it may take to reach the #40m worth of market price but as being mentioned already that one should keep holding even though not all of us eventually will end up holding for this long.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 14, 2023, 04:49:15 PM
Why would someone want to quit gambling when what he derived from it is money and pleasure, but it becomes a different case when these two aren't achieved anymore and the gambler gets frustrated to the point of being in debt and concluded on quitting or advised to quit, this shouldn't be, in cases like this, there's a need for proper reorientation for him to understand what he has left behind which is part of what's affecting him from moving forward with his gambling experience, the more he may wanted to quit the harder and difficult it then becomes because he would have already been used to gambling despite being not pleased with what he had.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 04:20:59 PM
What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

There are many things a fellow friend or gambler can do to me and get me highly upset but I don't think i may really result that into physical fight except if that becomes an inevitable situation that only fight can vindicate me for justice, here are some things that may actually get me furius about a gambler.

1. Lie
2. Stealing
3. Allegations
4. Lack of manners
5. Assault

Am going to ensure that I deal with him according to how the indebt of what he has done to me is taken.
1231  Economy / Speculation / Re: This year is dumping ground for bitcoin on: July 14, 2023, 12:13:51 PM
Today bitcoin is rising again and makes me even more optimistic that this year the price will easily reach $ 50k, there is still about 5 months left to be able to see the price of $ 50k, I'm sure the conflict between CZ vs SEC will not have a big impact because CZ's reputation in the market is very strong and if it later loses in court there will be no market shocks because all Binance operations will be normal.

I don't know where some people got their own research from in saying that this year will be a dumping ground for bitcoin after considering that bitcoin has always been bearish althrough the Q1 of this year, it is also very important that we know that bitcoin is a volatile cryptocurrency and can change at any point in time base on the signals received from its market demand and supply, Binance case with SEC is no more a thing of concern because they will always finds a means to settle themselves and either of their decisions had nothing to influence the bitcoin market price to dump or pumped even if the worse happened that Binance US closed down, they still have Binance global.
1232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: July 14, 2023, 11:46:12 AM
I believe the price of $ 40k will be reached soon, just like when the price is below $ 20k I was very optimistic that before April the price would reach $ 30k so I bought bitcoin even for a small amount, and I think the price of $ 40k will be before September.

If we are to look into the event of what happened yesterday on the bitcoin market price, it has the opportunity to getting far as around $31,700 which is pretty good and gives more attention on the current speculation that bitcoin is preparing for more high this period anytime from now and it may hit close to $40,000 soon, another reason for more gigh is the coming halving next year to mark the occasion of receiving half of the block reward on previous one, things will surely go different during this period because the market will be very volatile and profitable then, $40,000 is what we can achieved between now and next month while before the end of the year attained $50,000 and above.
1233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Launches it's First Bitcoin Futures Contract, Brazil To Follow.. on: July 14, 2023, 11:28:48 AM
Countries with the worst economy situation are the main crypto adopters. Hope that crypto will help them

This is not a big catch yet because they did not announce the move to make bitcoin a legal tender if they truly have more future and opportunities already seen with bitcoin for future contracts, i don't know why the government are so adamant in granting the people's request for a decentralized digital currency, but what i noticed is that bitcoin now made for everyone but the major target is focused on the poor and timid citizens who could both have financial dominion and privacy and if the poor and developing countries are taking advantages of these opportunities first then that means it's serving part of it intended purpose for creation, time will make the difference sooner.
1234  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: July 14, 2023, 10:42:05 AM
Many agricultural commodities such as corn, soybeans, meat, eggs and many more must be imported from other countries, when 15 or 20 years ago my country exports the commodity, and of course this is a sad fact, this is because of the many agricultural land that changes functions become an apartment building, park, tourist attractions and so on. Naturally, if the price of agricultural materials is more expensive.

The government needs to make farming an encouraged business to do for the people and they must also focus on this agricultural aspect because that's the sole dependent of economy markets and human sustainability, farming must be done both on the rural and urban settings, a country must bot be too dependent on importation of food items from other countries when they are meant to encourage their young adults to engage in farming by making adequate provisions for their start up needs to encourage them venture into farming, this will help the country eradicate poverty, hunger and disease, other countries may also depends on their productions.
1235  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I don reach the final decision on: July 13, 2023, 09:08:57 PM
Snip

So you could realized that posting on bounties has nothing to help one to develop from than bounties report, trolls and shitpostings that may be reagarded under the category of spam post also, the earlier the better, i want to congratulate you for such discovery and also wish other bounty hunters will learn to know what they are missing out from what they are doing, you could also discover maybe that's one of the reasons why you could found many spammers on the bounties section because they know nothing about bitcoin or even the bounties they are hunting around after.
1236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: See Binance laughable tweet, but deceiving newbies on: July 13, 2023, 08:53:34 PM
They will always say that they give freedom to people even though we know that it's nothing than a pure lie because they will always have the users keys to their wallet in their custody, so what freedom are they giving in this one, we should better learn to wise up and also take responsibility of teaching others to understand the implications of using online wallets or maybe i should put it this way excahnges accounts as wallet, they can turn our right for ownership to theirs or away to vanity within a short period of time before we get aware of what's going on, they are manipulators but an average person that knows about their implications and would never believe in anything they are saying.
1237  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 13, 2023, 08:39:10 PM
Before the introduction of cryptocurrency and some of the advanced digital technology, we have been involved in the practice of agriculture a good farming have been the major source of income to most countries around the world even before the oil boom, if a country can go into production in full for agricultural produce, they will have to be independent on so many things from the other countries because they have their GDP well enough and being sustainable through the labour output they give out in farming and also export excess out of the country, these could help a country to be self dependent than waiting on the developed nations to determine how they should run their internal economy.
1238  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't believe you on: July 13, 2023, 08:31:08 PM
You don't know the owner, but what makes you sure to deposit bitcoin to exchange?.

Ignorance ofcourse, there's nothing other than this, many people were found using centralized exchanges but couldn't differentiate between them and decentralized exchanges, some do know the difference but work on the reputation and online reviews left on them to be trusted, at the end, we will discover that all exchanges have these common risks they share together to fall under attack or go bankrupt aside the risk of loosing personal informations with them.

what makes you sure that your Bitcoin arrived safely and was not taken away by the owner?

There's no magic here, when you send bitcoin and it's truly confirmed, nothing can make it reversible and you can withdraw your money and spend or exchange it

I always thought that,
same as banks, I don't want to save it for long time, because banks often go bankrupt, and the owner run overseas.

You may be referring to other cryptocurrencies in this regards but never bring the approach of bitcoin into this because bitcoin is not a shitcoin whereby you will invest today and run after your money tomorrow, and you can't compare it to bank as long as you're not holding it on centralized exchanges.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding Bitcoin's Potential Realistically on: July 13, 2023, 08:02:01 PM
recently, i came across a video on YouTube where the creator was very optimistic about Bitcoin saving the world from POVERTY, HUNGER, GOVERNMENT, WAR, ECONOMIC CRISIS creating a UTOPIAN WORLD. he even went as far as predicting the year 2048 and 2109, how Bitcoin would be the only dominating currency in the world.

You would have make an additional effort in providing the link to that

He's such a bitcoin enthusiast and what the future may turned to in some years to come remain unknown but we all have this assurance as bitcoiners that bitcoin will still remains valuable till then because it has come to stay, talking about being the dominating currency, we will see every possible indications to that any time sooner even as we hope for more adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender this year from more countries.

we must also recognize that not all countries will readily embrace Bitcoin regardless of its undisputed qualities.

For now it may not be all the countries but it will soon get to that time where everyone of them will be struggling to make it adoption when they would have been left with no choice.
