Can someone give me ABC instructions about how I extract the private key from the Dash Core Wallet and import it to the Dash Electrum wallet?
If I obtain it from the .dat file, what program do I use to open that file and is the private key easy to find in the .dat file?
Thanks
If you use hardware wallets then you can connect it directly to Dash Electrum and do transactions from there. If you use software wallets then you need to do a dump of your private key. With the Dash Core software wallet you need to go to the debug console (located in the Tools section) and use the following command : dumpprivkey "address" (just typing dumpprivkey gets you additional information about this command) With Dash Electrum there should be an option to import priv keys / addresses Just make sure that your pc is completely free of any malware or keyloggers before doing this. Also i wonder if its not more safe to just make a new receiving address in Dash Electrum and sent your Dash directly from the Dash Core wallet to that new receiving Dash address in Dash Electrum You wont be able to use it in the Dash Core wallet anymore as you transactioned it out of that wallet, but you also dont need to mess with the dumping of private keys.

When you have a cryptocurrency that has failed to produce any significant successfull use case (most of the developed dapps are lacking traction among its users) and where its network is facing severe scaling issues and its dev team does not have a clear handle on how to fix those, you end up with a cryptocurrency and a community that is struggling (and will continue to struggle). And yes, the death of the ICO hype that ocurred during this bear market will also impact Ethereum.

It seems to me that DAS will still show all its power and most likely this will happen at the end of the year. The calm before the storm. Something grand is brewing.
I have the same feeling.

Transaction speed versus deposits / withdrawels processing speed on exchanges : You can have a cryptocurrency thats lightning fast but if exchanges or other services put a lot of transaction confirmations needed on such transactions before they deem them safe and protected against doublespending, then users will still experience slow speed. Ideally you want a cryptocurrency thats not only fast with its transactions on its own network but also only need a minimum of transaction confirmations imposed by exchanges or services. Dash has a number of exchanges that accept its InstantSend technology on deposits and or withdrawels. Which means you get your transaction from sender to receiver within a few seconds, protected against doublespending, no additional fees, immediately spendable and the exchange involved only impose 1 transaction confirmation before deeming it safe. These exchanges for Dash, who are accepting its InstantSend on deposits and/or withdrawels are : https://www.reddit.com/r/dashpay/comments/bhoos3/these_exchanges_are_dash_instantsendenabled/ Dash transactions with 4 input amounts or lower will be automatically and by default handled through Instantsend, without any additional fees, immediately spendable and protected against double spending. Exchanges just need to update their confirmation system to provide these benefits to its users. https://blog.dash.org/chainlocks-and-llmq-based-instantsend-mean-digital-cash-efe2852da9ca

Here is an overview of the Altcoins market dominance over time. MACD red : Bitcoin dominant MACD green : Altcoins dominant I'm pretty sure at some point the altcoins dominance will increase in strength again, like it has done so many times in the past. Its just on a low point in its longterm cycle right now.

Wow I had no idea this level of trollery existed between Dash and Monero. I know a lot of Monero people see Dash in not very positive tones as a rival coin but I had no idea there was this level of rivalry!
I am a Monero guy, simply for first mover and having places to use it. I honestly cannot say much else for why I choose it. May the best coin be the best, that is all.
Its not just some rivalry, some members from the Monero community seem to really hate Dash to the extend that they are willing to do almost anything or say almost anything to put Dash in a bad spotlight. That includes creating Reddit threads like https://www.reddit.com/r/DashUncensored/ and then later try to pass it off as a genuine uncensored place for Dash fans to post, when it fact its nothing more then a Dash hate thread. Or claiming Dash was premined, when it was not (Dash has an instamine history, not a premine history). This whole DASH Collapsing Monero UP thread is way beyond any rivalry and is also an example of a Dash hate thread. I have nothing against Monero as cryptocurrency, but some members of its community (not you of course) are really showing their true nature in threads like these. Can you imagine the hate someone must feel for Dash, that such person feel pressured to buy into Dash, setup Dash masternodes and then try (and fail) to influence Dash governance model through his masternodes ? and then hypocritically continue to post negative posts about Dash in this thread and other threads ? (i'm talking about iCEBREAKER here). iCEBREAKER and dnale0r are just prime examples of trolls that went full troll in a not very pleasant way. One tried to influence Dash from within and failed, the other tried to influence Dash reputation in real life and failed.

Enjoy this DASH/XMR pair while it last, Poloniex is delisting it because of low volume. Truth is this pair died ages ago, i'm not sure why people keep referring to it. https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-exchange-poloniex-to-delist-23-trading-pairs-due-to-low-volumeMust feel like taking away a toy from a baby for all these Monero trolls in here, i just hope they dont end up all crying By the way, the uncensored Dash Reddit thread is not actually a Dash thread at all, its just a fud thread created by a fanatic Monero troll named dnale0r. dnale0r is the one and only real life troll i actually know (he tried to disrupt a Dash presentation once in The Netherlands in 2015 which i attended, we all got a pretty good laugh out of it ). dnale0r is the sole reason why you never want to become a full troll, everrr. iCEBREAKER (OP of this thread) : i hope you are not still mad on rango for delisting all your Dash masternodes on Dash Central ? All that manual voting on all your Dash masternodes must have sucked. Also i assume you are over that polling proposal about having Ryan Taylor step down in his role of CEO over Dash Core Group ? Miscalculated the Dash masternode support for your polling proposal there slightly huh As they say : Carry on

the risk in the loss of coins or only in lowering the reputation?
The more i think about it, the more i think it has to do with a masternode owner voting power getting in the wrong hands when you sign such unknown message.
|
|
|
it is very convenient, you do not need to have a machine that works all the time, and do not need to buy Trezor, signing takes place outside the network
the only question is whether this service will be able to use my funds
Since your wallet does give you a warning that unknown messages should not be signed, i assume there is a certain exploit risk here. You just have to make sure that this message that needs to be signed is indeed part of allnodes standard procedure. During voting for the Dash Trust Protectors election, the Dash Core Group introduced the signing of a message as a way for masternode owners to prove ownership of masternodes in order for them to vote on the Dash Trust Protectors. This does not mean that Dash Core Group suddenly got access to all these masternode owners collateral (1000 Dash each), it just proved that these masternode owners have full control over their collateral and are therefore eligable to vote. So as long as this message comes from a trusted source, your funds should be safe. But if the message comes from an unknown or unreliable source, there could be a risk. Personally i would also like to know more about what kind of risk there is with signing unknown messages..... maybe its related to your voting right ? Thats someone can exploit / abuse a masternode owner's voting right ?
|
|
|
By signing a message you prove ownership of a certain address. Basicly it shows that you have full control over that specific Dash address. Signing a message could be related to the Dash collateral, showing you have full control over your Dash collateral. I have no idea if allnodes.com indeed uses this signing message procedure and if its safe to proceed. I suggest you either contact allnodes.com directly or check with people who have used allnodes.com before.

Hello, to start the masternode service allnodes.com requires us to sign his message, is it safe? Wallet warning about not sign what we don't know, scammers can take advantage
If you dont get your answer, then pls ask here : https://www.dash.org/forum/topic/masternode-questions-and-help.67/(i never used allnodes.com and i only follow trustwearthy guides so i dont know the answer to your question)

blabla .. premine .. blabla
Great, another noob that does not know what premine means. To noob : pls google premine before using words you dont understand, thank you. If noob does not even understand the word premine, what else does noob not understand ? Dash was never premined of course, only noobs and trolls still use that word in a desperate attempt to get Dash into the premine corner. Noob / Troll pretty much REKT himself, using that word. Very well but it's a stable coin there is no violation in the price only little change in the price and I don't think it goes to high
Just like many altcoins Dash is facing pressure from Bitcoin's price rise and seems to be in a longterm accumulation phase. Therefore it could take awhile before Dash will start showing significant growth in its btc value. Dash fiat value (Usd / Euro) is more directly connected to Bitcoin's price rise and fall. Investors in altcoins will need to have patience, lots and lots of patience. https://messari.io/screenerDash current longterm (1W) price trend :

Can Bitcoin Survive “China Mining Pool Attack” Without ChainLocks?
This is not what DASH community has to worry about, because DASH has good algorithm to fight against those sorts of attack. There are some people naively think that bitcoin is the King, and outstanding in crypto currency ecosystem, but they don't realize that there are some good altcoins that bring innovations for blockchain industry, such as Ethereum, Monero, and DASH. If someone actually worry about that, why not switch their regular transactions from Bitcoin to DASH? Fees are much cheaper, instant send, and more advantageous things with DASH transactions. I agree that there is no crypto can replace the King position of Bitcoin, but it is neither true nor smart to keep using Bitcoin as main coin for daily transactions. BTW, if you have, please share the data on transaction history of bitcoin and DASH in Venezuela. I have difficulty obtaining such information myself, both for Dash and for Bitcoin. For Bitcoin i did find a geographic-specific traded volume, but no specific transaction numbers : https://coin.dance/volume/localbitcoins/VESNote : that geographic-specific traded volume of Bitcoin is severly on the decline Link : https://www.longhash.com/news/venezuela-bitcoin-trading-volume-drops-by-83Update 1 : The only reliable transaction history with Dash in Latin America region seems to be coming from George Donnelly, who is using an auto-updating transaction tracker (created by Dash Retail) for his recent Dash Latam’s budget proposal. Dash Latam operates in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil and Spain and data of that tracker goes back to early august 2019, when that transaction tracker was activated. Maybe wearthy of a bookmark, as it actually provides some solid Dash transaction data in Latin America. Note though that this transaction tracker is apparently still an alpha software version. Link : https://tracker.pagacondash.com/ https://www.dashcentral.org/p/dash-latam-60-txday-2000-active-merchantUpdate 2 : Some transaction feedback from Dash Text (which i believe are currently operating in Venezuela and Colombia) : Link : https://www.dashcentral.org/p/DashTextContinuedGrowthDevelopment+ Update 3 : Looks like the "DASH MALL AND PARKING: 1500 organic TXs/Mo, 2000 new wallets, growth of Dash ecosystem in western Venezuela with 1st Parking program in the world by CabiDash" budget proposal that recentely got its funding approved by the Dash DAO, will also be using a transaction tracker. Transaction counter developed and implemented by Spark. Link : https://www.dashcentral.org/p/DASHMALLANDPARKING
