1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100.000 new coinbase users in 24 hours. on: November 04, 2017, 09:28:14 PM
This is good news for the crypto, 100,000 users in 24 hours is amazing. Let’s hope trading of Bitcoin Futures will be approved, it will bring more users to crypto.

If all those people want just 1 bitcoin the pump would be huge because there just isn't the supply of 100k bitcoins on coinbase for under say 25k - 50k price.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 04, 2017, 06:41:03 PM
Maybe? But at the same time you gotta look at their entry point mainly and that will help determine if they make more money. In general though if you got in on bitcoin early you probably make more than avg drug dealer.

Not the drug dealers on silk road though as many of them did just as good.  If you think some of their daily orders to ship for an average seller was a few BTC. If they held any decent of % btc they took for orders i doubt they are having to deal drugs right now.
1243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy BTC - UK on: November 04, 2017, 09:34:19 AM
Kraken only has a $100,000 annual withdrawal limit for tier4 individuals.

So if you generate $0.5m it would take 5 years to get it out?

No thats not correct, take a look at the numbers again.  I know for tier 3 alone they have $200k limit per month and $25k per day. Tier 4 is for high end mega rich customers.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: its Already 10 Days - No BTG Wallet till Now on: November 04, 2017, 09:24:52 AM
title says it all

its been a while since fork happened, still no BTG wallet

If they make all these things nice and easy for everyone to dump then the price goes to zero.  They want to make sure they've dumped their coins first and then we get to dump later lol.
1245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy BTC - UK on: November 03, 2017, 09:07:12 AM
Morning all.

Where can I buy BTC getting through the 'know your customer' quickly?

I have a £15k limit on Coinbase, their fees seem high - where else is recommended (UK) and with higher limits?

Many thanks.

Kraken you can get tier 4 verification and i think the limits go up to like 200k deposit and withdraws etc but you have no GBP only EURO.  You could try an exchange like coinfloor which is UK specific but hey i've never used them and i never got a answer from their support when i asked a question.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling vs Panic buying on: November 03, 2017, 09:04:34 AM

If you panic you rely on luck since your emotions block your rationality.  Does mean you cant make good trade though, i panic sold all my ltc for btc back a month ago and it worked out pretty good.
1247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: November 02, 2017, 05:52:14 PM
By-bye Kraken!
With 50+ tryouts i success withdraw my money (ZEC and BCC). No more pain.

Lucky you. Since hours i try to withrawal my BTC. No luck

If i wouldn't know better, i would call it scam.

Have you got an actual withdraw sat waiting or site errors are not letting you put it through? all i can say is i continue to have very decent experience moving funds in and out of kraken.  I've not had a problem yet so dont know how that might go.  However maybe you should consider the volume of people they might be dealing with right now is huge.
1248  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trade paypal to bitcoin on: November 02, 2017, 05:48:55 PM

OP can chargeback any trade if buying with paypal like you say, he has zero risk buying bitcoin from anyone with that protect. You can try localbitcoins also and see if anyone is willing o trade but no doubt they will want your details incase.
1249  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Amazon Integrate Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 05:40:26 PM

Since paypal is basically ebay owned and not accepted at amazon it does make sense they might incorporate a crypto as a way to attack paypal. Maybe they will launch amazon coin we will see.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is driving BTC increase on: November 02, 2017, 05:36:22 PM
Bitcoin experience a lot of good news.
The main good news for me is, adding Bitcoin by Chicago's Options and Futures Exchange as base instrument.

Its not just the news though bud, we had good news at like $300 dollars about microsoft and paypal etc but the price only went to $500 - $600. Fundamental forces are at play when we get a big move like this.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is driving BTC increase on: November 02, 2017, 12:47:52 PM
So I've been watching the market for a while and keenly watching for about 4 months, what is driving this massive price spike in your opinion? Are you expecting the price to drop dramatically soon? Then another rise? Or are you expecting it to continue this sharp rise for the next month or two?
I'm interested also in BCH too, same questions Smiley

Mostly its supply and demand with the supply limited by 50% each halving we see a move in the bitcoin price a few months after.  This move is still initiated originally by the halving.  But overall its an idea for money which is much needed in the world, the blockchain provides much utility which we've not experienced before.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: November 02, 2017, 09:10:33 AM
it's possible to be rich though you have to work really hard for it, invest tons of time, effort, patience and perseverance. Bitcoin provides opportunity its up to you how you will make it grow.

Just investing and hodling doesn't take too much work these days. Maybe a few weeks research and time learning.  Years ago you had to become more of an expert but now there are greater options with exchanges and wallets.
1253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to Invest in Bitcoin, Possibility of $1 Trillion Market Cap on: November 01, 2017, 07:53:52 PM

I can just see that 1 trillion market cap post on reddit in the future comin.  Probably the 2020 halving should do it unless we go totally crazy now.  Gold is 7 trillion so i think is reasonable to think 1 trillion is attainable.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think bitcoin will be wiped out? on: November 01, 2017, 08:36:37 AM
Bitcoin, which undermines the monopoly of states to issue money and prevents them from manipulating the economy in favor of those in power, is increasingly irritating the governments of many countries.
That is why sooner or later governments will bring down bitcoin.

They wanted to bring down or control the internet but that never worked out.  The gov can cause some damage but the whole gov idealogy is only strong to a point. I dont think they can stop true change over years/decades, they never have.
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked and robbed. My mistake for keeping coins on exchange on: October 31, 2017, 07:00:27 PM
Not sure how it can be possible. Even sh*t exchanges like nova will send an email to your account asking you to confirm the withdrawal. Why is this not done on coinbase?

Kraken sends an email but its not a click to confirm withdraw one etc.  It just tells you withdraw is happening and to stop into you have o take action. What they do though is not allow any withdraw address to be added unless confirmed via email.  The OP is saying his email got hacked though so would not have saved him.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked and robbed. My mistake for keeping coins on exchange on: October 31, 2017, 05:12:32 PM

I find it hard to understand why coinbase would have it so if you reset your password there is no 2FA?  Most other exchanges block you from doing stuff after a password reset not lessen your security and give you more freedom. Never used coinbase so dont know.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think bitcoin will be wiped out? on: October 31, 2017, 09:02:12 AM

I see it more as becoming redundant if we progress with AI technology as predicted at some point the need to transact in money of any kind would have little meaning to a form of super AI which would be able to organise world resources in superior ways. AI likely would collaborate with other AI almost instantly. Trade happens now because people disagree, money is needed for trade.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: October 31, 2017, 08:06:43 AM
Well if you're not a good trader , it's better and safer to just buy and hold some coins. Also be very carefull when you buy alts , make sure you find good project and you enter near bottom or else you gonna loose bitcoins.

Most people are not good tradings, please dont anyone go fooling themselves that they can actually trade without a decent track record of high volume trading. It you are sat with some funds waiting to buy and sell on news that is possible for most people though.
1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: October 30, 2017, 04:46:32 PM
For high risk taker, gambling and HYIP are the best option, the more the returns the higher the chance of losing them all.

I like the idea of a well researched investment into a HYIP as it could in theory be +ev but straight up gambling where its -ev seems like you would be better off working at mcdonalds and just banking everything into bitcoin.
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment strategy. Help on: October 30, 2017, 04:34:18 PM
Would suggest you ignore alts right now and put half your BTC fund in right now incase price goes to $10k - if it did you could then sell the half and wait and see from there.  Incase price goes down you just put in the other half fiat fund and you get more bitcoin overall.  This is a strategy i sometimes use when buying back in.
