1241  Bitcoin / Mining / Turning off miners on: January 13, 2015, 06:02:22 AM
The difficulty increase combined with the price drop has me turning off another batch of miners. How about you?

Uppie

Uh, why? No one is going to pay these prices for these old machines.

I love MinerSource. They have the perfect business. They take pre-orders, receive product from suppliers, but then keep both the money and the hardware! Now that's some serious profit margins!
1244  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcment: Brand-new miner EMIC PowerModule - 5.65 TH/s on: January 09, 2015, 04:17:14 PM
I've looked around a little and it seems like it's a real company.

Being a "real company" is about .0001% of what you need to develop a working bitcoin ASIC, not to mention the worlds best ASIC by far. In other words, being a "real company" is nothing.

What we know so far is that it is impossible for them to release the product as specified at the time specified.
1245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 08, 2015, 11:18:21 PM
Call me crazy, but i feel lucky i might get something delivered at last.

According to BA the X-1.5 runs 160 GH/S on 100W. If that's true i'll be looking at them for at least a couple of months (i don't have very expensive electricity).

You're crazy if you think they'll meet those specs.
1246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 08, 2015, 08:36:09 PM
Something positive: 10 * X-1 or X-1.5 are on it's way.
Got my Fedex shipping info. Order: 37XX (early jan 2014) directly from BA.

I'll keep you updated.

That's positive? What, do you have free electricity?
1247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcment: Brand-new miner EMIC PowerModule - 5.65 TH/s on: January 08, 2015, 04:55:01 PM
Did I missed something? I am reading here now that people are buying this even without prove of existence .... . Did someone confirmed that miner is real and had chance to test it?
I am curious.

There is no evidence it exists, but that doesn't stop people from wasting their money.
1248  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcment: Brand-new miner EMIC PowerModule - 5.65 TH/s on: January 08, 2015, 03:36:36 AM

Also not easily stackable like the S3/C1, which we built into towers 6-8 high. Disappointing design, definite step backwards.

Remove the plastic sides, lay them on their sides, and zip-tie them in a stack. What's hard about that?
1250  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 review - A Green miner with a Loud fan on: January 07, 2015, 11:55:49 PM
Running the SP20s that slow is an expensive option.
1251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 review - A Green miner with a Loud fan on: January 07, 2015, 04:52:57 PM
Ok, so i decided to underclock some more. It appears that my newest SP20 underclocks and performs much better than my 1 month old SP20. I've now got my newest SP20 running a 0.597V and it shows a total of 353W on the stats, hashing at 819GH/s. My older SP20 is running at .610V (about as low as it will go) for 402W on the stats, hashing at 862GH/s. I've got both on the 1300W 80 Plus Gold Rosewill and its only pulling 781 Watts at the wall via a Kill-a-watt meter! That 1681GH/s @ 781 W for 0.464 W/GH. I'm not sure how accurate the stats page wattage is, but if its correct that means my PSU is running at 96.6% efficiency. 755W showing on stats combined and 781W at the wall.. 755/781=96.6%. Is this right?

New SP20 353W .597V 819GH ~0.44W/GH
Old SP20  402W .610V  862GH ~0.48W/GH

Combined @ Wall 781W 1681GH = 0.464W/GH

These 2 are running stacked @ 20C room temp.

That's some really impressive numbers!

We want to assure everyone that we are putting together a compensation program that will go live on December 15th, 2014 or sooner.

1253  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: January 06, 2015, 08:04:49 PM
Its a shame to those lost a siginificat amount, then promised something again lol.

Its similar to how a girl gives a lapdance, then you are leaving to go home w. blue balls forced to fap it out.

I think you figured out the new recovery program. Jason is going to give customers lap dances.
1254  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 06, 2015, 03:55:40 PM

I concur. The key to maximizing efficiency on a limit watt budget is to limit the max voltage. I set mine to .63 to stay under 700 watts at the wall. You could go up to .64 or maybe .65 depending on conditions (PSU efficiency, intake temps, etc).
1255  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: January 06, 2015, 02:53:00 AM
He has been here a couple of times ... on New Years Eve I was fortunate to be able to have a series of messages back and forth with him ... I think that was because I was civil and didn't resort to gutter language and threats.

Did you get any real info out of him, or did you just chat about the weather?
1256  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S5 review on: January 05, 2015, 11:50:57 PM
Would this work?

http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_2104719_-1

It's 9 volts with 16.7 amps output but only rated at 150 watts.

Interesting. Although you'd probably need 4 of them per S5.
1257  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 05, 2015, 04:22:17 PM
And if BTC stays at its current low price, even their $90/month hosting for X3s will be losing money after the next difficulty increase.

You missed this part "+ $10/miner/month administration costs.". They're already not worth turning on.
1258  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 05, 2015, 05:46:36 AM
Not necessarily.  I show them as trusted due to the link I mentioned above.  I believe anyone using the default Trust depth setting of 2 will show them as trusted.

EDIT:  I dropped a line to philipma1957 asking if he would consider removing his trust rating for DyslexicZombei in an attempt to resolve this trust situation.

EDIT 2:  philipma1957 was kind enough to remove his trust rating for DyslexicZombei and now BA's trust is showing negative.

I get it now. BA was showing negative for me since I left them negative trust. Good work OgNasty.
1259  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 05, 2015, 04:05:37 AM
how in the fuck does that piece of shit BlackArrow seem to have a positive trust rating?

is it just me or is something fucked up with the trust system.  even his trusted ratings seem negative.

anyone?

Trust: 5: -1 / +5(5)

That's how I see it and that is totally wrong and out of this reality. I have no idea how the Trust system works, but this is wrong.

It depends on who is in your Trust List. Go to your Trust Settings and check:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

If you just have "Default Trust" in the list, BA should show as Negative Trust.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 03, 2015, 10:52:02 PM
Yes also Titan mining 10 dollars per day
Roi at 3 year

I think that crypto is dead

Today you can get miners for $1000 that generate $10/day, ROI in 100 days. Crypto isn't dead. KNC is just a horrible company.
