1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think a new memecoin $MEMEFARMS will skyrocket in 2023? on: October 30, 2023, 08:20:33 PM
I think many people, if only looking at the name and brand, will have a big misunderstanding about the memeland.

I learned about this project around the end of 2022 when it was still in the early stages but at that time it really did not receive much traction possibly due to many different objective issues. But actually, I know who is behind it, the 9GAG platform is what attracts my attention more, of course if anyone does not know about 9GAG, they can ignore it. But actually, they had a platform system that was not related to blockchain a long time ago, maybe the increasing awareness and acceptance of crypto caused them to get more involved in this field.

Yes, I also agree that if it's just exaggerated like some doge, shiba, pepe memes,... it's not too attractive until fomo. But actually, the project is building and doing a lot of different things related to p2e, socialfi,... although those are all exaggerated terms, perhaps the most impressive thing is the team behind the project with much experience.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __________________
Actually, I was wrong to think the OP was referring to the MEMECOIN project, but after looking again, it's something else entirely.

What the hell is $memefarms ? Well this is definitely a copy of the idea as well as following the hype by another quality project I mentioned earlier.

I don't have advice on whether or not to continue with what the OP is talking about, but I'm glad to know about another project that I wouldn't otherwise be exposed to. When this is just another and meaningless meme popping up in this space.
1243  Economy / Economics / Re: choose an option on: October 30, 2023, 08:41:36 AM
Well I will choose ''b'', because that reward I think will need to belong to me immediately and most likely I will also deduct half of the money to invest in bitcoin.

Another option that I think would be similar would be to choose ''c'', which would also sell half the bitcoin to fiat.

1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking back at the past, one of those statements gained respect over time. on: October 29, 2023, 08:36:58 AM
There are many opinions above but I think a simpler way is to look at their reactions to this story.

I saw what the youtube channel is all about and I do recommend people to get in early. However reading the OP I thought some things should be made clear.

There are a niche of social media influencers who in short have the habit of "showing off" or faking it and not actually being rich. They make money by promoting brands and the rich lifestyle but all that is rented or faked, targeting the younger generation. People should be careful of this.

Bitcoin will not be something that gets you rich overnight and neither will any altcoin do that, unless you hit some jackpot, and like jackpots they are unreachable.

This is why I advice people to not follow influencers of crypto-based social media because of the shill it carries. Build your own concepts and live by them and obviously buy bitcoin at the bear markets.
The story of 2013 is completely different from the story of 2023, as the title introduces a retrospective. Ask yourself if you heard about bitcoin from 2013 to 2014 and I admit that I am confused, as well as the knowledge resources for me to access, or the direction to access that knowledge is very different with the current social context.

I also very much agree that currently, while the media and social networks help knowledge to be transmitted well, there is still a system of false knowledge being spread. But that doesn't have much to do with what I want to talk about, simplifying the whole story and not wanting to overcomplicate, I have had happy and miserable times with bitcoin but at the end of the day I Realize I'm really stupid.

I have talked about it clearly, hoping for fun.

1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: October 29, 2023, 08:15:58 AM

One one thing I have noticed about gambling is that before you win a thousand box, they might have milk you of more than that.
[I just want to use this medium to appeal to the younger generation, please stay off gambling, if you must do so, gamble responsible, don't take it as your only source of living so it wouldn't milk you dry.
then you already knew what gambling is all about lol, you will lose more than you can earn ,
for every hundred loses lucky for you if there is a 10 dollar win  Grin well that is according to my own experiences and also best to just enjoy
the game (but of course hope and pray to win and learn also to stand up when you have enough wins)
and one thing , about thinking gambling as a source of income? to feed you and family? that will be the stupidest thing people can ever think
about. because gambling should be for entertainment and only brings bonus if we win , specially when we hit the jackpot? that would be
the happiest part to enjoy and also to win.
It's clearer whether people want to have fun with it or want to become a part of the house's money-making tool. Players easily mistakenly believe that easy ways to use money do not cause much harm, but this is a game related to money, so it is not fun if that amount of money is not within the range that you can comfortably spend and does not harm your life. There are many secrets in the gambling industry that startle me, but the truth is that not all players are good. Some of my friends once whispered to me that if you want to safely launder money, go to the casino (this does not apply to regular players), which shows that there is a lot more working behind what is in front of us.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that are good for long hodling in this season. on: October 29, 2023, 08:07:59 AM
I believe will saw the new shift of many altcoins price that made the green light to remain stable in some days to make some altcoins hodlers to make a new decision to apply for potential altcoins that will make their profits surplus when the real bull run show up in the market soon. I guess Ethereum and Binance are very good in long hodling because, since I became regular in the crypto market, I discovered that this two altcoins carry huge population to stand in second and third position in the market that is giving me hope that they are good in long term hodling and, it will be difficult for their customers to experience negative results like what other customers are experiencing from new altcoins in the market. Do you think this two altcoins are good in long hodling in this season? Because I have seen some reason that made me to apply for long term in this little shift of the price of altcoins which the bull run will show up fully next week.
If ETH and BNB should be placed in the long list because its fluctuations depend mainly on the main trend from bitcoin, unlike altcoins that exaggerate the trends that do not create much value and are only pump/dump short term.
But risk or profit should also be planned from the beginning to avoid stress during investment. It seems that recently the bitcoin movement has brought a more exciting atmosphere, I also see many people talking about it memecoin before that but I personally can only spend time researching the top ones at the current stage to be able to speculate on what might happen. But anyway, when it comes to longterm investing, the goal is to wait until the profit makes you feel satisfied and exit if you want.
1248  Economy / Economics / Re: Isreal and Palestine war and losing your wallet phrase and password on: October 29, 2023, 07:59:20 AM
I also think it will be better to store that way in cloud storage. Storage like you save in google drive, it will be safe there for anytime that you like to restore it after a war when you survive it. If you keep in google drive you have to remember the password to login to the google account and if you do that it will open everything you have keep there. You have to keep the password save no matter how long you will access it back like your email too.
So in reality the problem is happening right now, the story is your life or your money, which is more important?

Luckily, the current life in the country I live in does not encounter this situation where catastrophic wars have ended. But I still hear from the previous generation about the transfer of power, monetary issues were almost meaningless and the assets people hoarded at that time were bars of gold, silver, pearls,... The way they do it is to put it in a box and drop it into the water tank and of course it is secret, even if it is no longer alive, there is still a chance for someone else to find it and use it. In this era, we have bitcoin as a new way to store assets and there are also many ways to store secret things, but in my opinion, try to save your life first.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anti-Gambling Tools on: October 29, 2023, 07:46:58 AM
So, here's the deal. I've been into crypto gambling, and I've realized that, despite my best intentions, it's a bit tough to control the urge. I've tried the self-exclusion route in the past, but it seems some crypto casinos still find a way to let me back in.

I know I've got an issue, and I've accepted that. Now, my goal is to manage it better and avoid any unnecessary damage to my finances.

I'm curious if any of you have faced a similar situation and if there are tools or methods you've found effective in controlling crypto gambling. It feels like most platforms lack daily limits or deposit controls, making it a bit challenging to stay on track.

Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations from those who've been through something similar.
imo, it is not something that we have to focus on to find every way to win it, I mean don't look at gambling games as a way to make money because that is not for the majority. Some local gambling sites that I have tried and also discovered that there are signals to groups that can directly manipulate the results of each game so I see that it is a place to take money from players, so So don't set too high expectations on profits and then drown in debt. I also have time to work with gambling websites during each period, even with more entertaining games, the odds for the house to win are still more attractive than the players.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 29, 2023, 07:37:10 AM
Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?
There are many different reasons and ways to respond to each person's behavior on this issue. Obviously, if gambling were simply entertainment, I would not quit and try to convince my partner otherwise to experience these things together. But if you are overwhelmed with debt and negativity or are about to get bogged down in addiction, then I think you definitely have to give up, although this is easier said than done and the actual actions are very different. Anyway, if family life is happier, don't let small problems dominate the relationship. If we want to maintain harmony and have others understand us, we should also put ourselves back in their thoughts to feel.

Two-way communication with your partner is very important, don't let it happen that because we hide our gambling behavior our relationship with our partner is destroyed. my partner knows that I gamble quite often, but he still keeps an eye on me, even when I want to bet on a football match, he often helps me choose which team to choose, he is an open man and always controls my habits. he always checks on me so that I don't miss out on using money in gambling. When you decide to live with someone else, there are no more secrets between the two of you, accept all the advantages and disadvantages and correct what you both think is wrong.
That shows you have a happy relationship with your boyfriend.

The easier things are for each other to understand, the stronger the relationship. Whether gambling is bad or not depends on the player's perception. Just like using any tool, if you can control it, you don't have to worry about social prejudices. Even if a couple has the same gambling addiction but still doesn't leave each other, we all understand the power of love that makes us accept all the strengths and weaknesses of the other person, especially that harmony in each other's level of cognitive bias, the relationship still maintains.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Looking back at the past, one of those statements gained respect over time. on: October 28, 2023, 07:07:46 PM
I don't know if you still know or know this man, but for me it was one of the memories when I first searched for information related to bitcoin and accidentally saw his analysis. I also used to think that what he said was ridiculous because, at that time, maybe my understanding of the banking system or the economy was too silly. The things he said at that time made me just think that maybe bitcoin is a ponzi project and hires some people to spread it.

Source: Bitcoin Update - just buy $1 worth of bitcoin please!

And some pictures after the investment process with bitcoin that changed his own life.

This is just one of many cases where he had faith in bitcoin early on and is enjoying the most visible results in the wealth he has earned. It's just that through the story of this case, I see that I have missed out on many good opportunities due to ignorance. But even worse, the bitcoins I had earned before were also impossible. Look back a bit on the past, but don't be immersed in that regret, how we will approach this opportunity in the present and the future. And you, have you missed any opportunities with bitcoin?
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we seen the lowest low of this bear market? on: October 28, 2023, 06:21:26 PM
They give their opinions on a short-term basis and are influenced by the news, rather, some analyses from many influencers are just personal speculation. Personally, I only have a hypothesis about when BTC will surpass those milestones that people often call resistance. Honestly, I'm a bit confused when I see the crypto market in such a sensitive period as it is now. Now, before that, we had the news of the bitcoin sale from Tesla and a series of accompanying news items, although it is said that it is convincing enough to cause a price drop, and indeed, volatility is a characteristic featured in the crypto market, not just bitcoin.

And is a scenario of World War III (Israel + USA + NATO vs an alliance of Islamic countries) bullish or bearish?
I'm not sure about WW3 in each different region, the instability is increasing. First, look at assets that people are looking for, like gold, to see the reaction. And back to bitcoin, price increases in the near future are dominating, although I am still speculating along with many others that bitcoin will have a sharp decline before entering the bullrun phase.
1253  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: October 28, 2023, 06:03:09 PM
Presently, should we say it's good the way bitcoin its been tied to dollars? Dollars is not backed up with any resources but to my understanding, bitcoin is a product of great energy surge. We shouldn't let bitcoin tied to dollars but bitcoin standing on its own. What could decide the durability and value of bitcoin? I have some ideas..
Please present more details about the idea you want to propose for everyone to discuss.

Previously, I also agreed with some views that bitcoin is not tied to fiat, but the reality is that we are in a society where fiat is the main tool to connect all types of assets. Given that bitcoin can be easily sold for any fiat as long as the level of liquidity is met, comparing bitcoin to the dollar seems to miss the point of what each does, despite the connection between them still existing. But the problem here is convenience, and the bad things about USD are not evident. I wonder if you have looked into what makes any fiat valuable. Between an investment asset like bitcoin today and a fiat asset, they have different issues to talk about in terms of value. For me, if I were to choose a similar object to compare with bitcoin, it would be gold.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a “safe haven asset” on: October 28, 2023, 11:23:33 AM
At the present time, I still accept the fact that this market is highly volatile and its scale is still very small, so the investment portfolio with it will be an investment with the goal of generating income. More profit is a safe haven for assets that don't evaporate. It's potential for the future is something I fully acknowledge in terms of its acceptability in every sense, but it's not going to happen anytime soon. Traditional assets like gold have much more liquid bridges and gateways, making it easier for money to flow in and out of stocks, bonds and ETF. Bitcoin doesn't have that framework yet, but such volatility is still an opportunity for many people, including me.

1256  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: October 28, 2023, 08:30:48 AM
Alright, understood. Thank you guys. So basically I might have fallen for the same kind of stuff you see in YouTube comments nowadays. What I do wonder then though is why quite a few of those reviews give transaction IDs. Or do you suppose those are fake as well?

If you can't trust Trustpilot reviews, then how are you realistically supposed to come to a conclusion about whether a business is trustworthy or not? I'm not just talking about the crypto space, but other online shops and so on.
Although it is not an exchange that I use regularly, I know that CEX is always in the top tier in the crypto field. I'm not sure what the OP is concerned about seeing some of the negative feedback about it, but it seems to me that the same negative feedback has appeared in other CEX cases. Just know that the quality of service cannot satisfy everyone and sometimes there are still some cases where users feel uncomfortable.

You depend on an assessment tool that you are aware of as the only way to learn about any business. But not only with crypto, but in many other fields I can mention some criteria:
- about products and services
- brands
- teams
- business activities
- partner
- financial reports,...

And almost all of them information cannot be compiled from one source but must be searched for. So don't overuse the rating of a certain tool, trustpilot is only a very small part for people to know about the company or business, never consider it as everything.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whether Bitcoin ETFs are approved or not, we expect bullish trend on: October 28, 2023, 08:12:47 AM
But I'm sure many people don't really understand what the news and meaning of ETFs are, but that's clearly the main reason at this stage for us to discuss volatility for bitcoin.

I have also mentioned that ETFs will be a way for large investors to create a lot of momentum until it has an official announcement, anyway, being in this market for a while makes me realize that even Anyway, Bitcoin must increase even if there is no impact from this news, there will be other reasons that are exaggerated. From an investment perspective, I like the current volatility because it gives me more time to prepare for a long-term plan with bitcoin in the next few years or beyond.

I think this is another one of Elon Musk's fantasies that is never going to happen. Plus if he keeps wasting time on all these other things he is never going to make it to Mars in his lifetime. Which I thought was his main goal but unfortunately he has gotten sidetracked.  Shocked
(...)
To send money anywhere in the world, it would need to be an altcoin. Or a western union competitor but who needs another western union? we already have western union.
His ambitious idea really gives me goosebumps. Although I don't hate or admire his talent, in fact, I have to admit that Elon Musk is really very talented. Perhaps the hidden meaning is that he makes us feel unreasonable or causes heated debates. But what he's bringing to the fields he's in is an extremely talented person.

For me, since Elon Musk started taking over X - Twitter, I can feel his intention to take advantage of part of the power of social networking platforms in an era where anyone can easily use them to spread the word, accessing a good deal of different knowledge as well as causing a good deal of other chaos. I'm not sure how successful this will be, but let's see what it does in the future.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scroll airdrop speculation on: October 28, 2023, 07:52:30 AM
For those who are hunting for airdrops, I think they will apply the same criteria as the previous L2s and can increase their volume to have a better chance of competing against active spammers. I see that people's massive FOMO about opportunities is vague and sometimes just a tool for developers to take advantage of the hype about a certain trend for profit. Scroll is also a project that I spend a lot of time reading about, but I actually don't prioritize using it much. Whether it's from the testnet stage or the mainnet stage, I speculate that the criteria for awarding rewards will not be an attractive enough guide.

And in the last few days, I accidentally read some user complaints about their frustration when spending a lot of different fees to participate in activities, but everything is still quite vague. There are many projects that are expected, not only Scroll and they are also dependent on market trends, developers can only argue everything with exaggeration and be sure that they will deliver laughter for users. This blood-sucking game makes me feel that perhaps people need to be more conscious about deciding whether to continue participating in the campaigns that are spreading through different social channels.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 28, 2023, 07:38:43 AM
Spirituality covers everything and does not exclude even small activities, but here what I observe is very much related to religion and beliefs. If we use it to talk about spirituality, I think many people who are not religious will misunderstand a lot about spirituality. First of all, to have a more objective view, I admit that I am a person who has researched spirituality and I have researched almost every major religion in the world, so if there is anything wrong, I hope will receive valuable feedback.

Quote
Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

I confidently assert that God will not direct people to develop greed and confusion in all activities in life. As far as I know, this religious belief promotes love and compassion in each person, and usually few people will know about it and understand the profound ideas that appear in scriptures. Especially today, the issue of religion is accepted by the new world as a prejudice about the ignorance of believers and they believe in the logic of science more than the miracles that come from spirituality.

As small as the story of human survival since birth is programmed with ideology from the previous generation, doubt and no belief in religion later but human wishes are not met. And if we are still stuck in the material story, it will be difficult to access spiritual truths, so actually that element of luck comes from ourselves, I know about many invisible laws that exist. exist in life like the law of balance, and the law of attraction,... so I know that luck or failure are not natural, they all have causes that we cannot see.

Nowadays, there are things that science cannot answer and they turn to search for answers through many different cultures, especially the East, where spiritual matters are considered to have many secrets hidden. Previously, I accidentally learned some interesting stories about the great minds of the generation of 20th century scientists. Behind many achievements, there is a mystery about spirituality, and anyone If they have ever learned about Buddhism, I believe they will all have insights into the life of limited knowledge that we currently know. It can be said that it is a religion that is many times more advanced in every aspect social perspectives, science and technology, and even when talking about knowledge in Buddhism have made the understanding of the universe that people know really too narrow.
