1301  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 08, 2023, 09:44:36 PM
As far as the KYC for withdrawal is mentioned in the T&C of the site nobody can do anything about it.
Most people ignore the T&C of all the sites and then complaint about what the site has already mentioned.
If the T&C doesn't mention KYC norms and yet ask for it then we can raise a scam accusation against them.
Well, you are right, most gamblers are very lazy in terms of reading, I myself too sometimes fail to read terms and conditions of a casino before or after joining, I just go ahead, deposit and start playing there.
But the difference I believe is that, I am always ready for what ever comes, be it kyc or what ever.

In the nutshell, I personally believe that every gambler should always be ready for kyc, most especially, if as a gambler, you are playing on a casino that is registered and has a operating license, this I believe have nothing to do with whether the gambler reads the casino's terms and conditions or not, 99 percent of all licensed casino's are all kyc compliant.
To be honest, 99% of websites have ToS that gives them all the rights to do whatever they want once you register and create account. I once read whole ToS page of Coinbase because I couldn't believe what I heard about their terms from forum members and then I lost my mind Cheesy I think, for many people, it doesn't make any sense to read ToS because if you want to gamble, you'll register anyway but you may face surprises on the way. Overall, to my mind, this business is mostly based on trust instead of ToS. If there is a casino that rarely asks for KYC and doesn't have problem with withdrawals, people choose them because they get recommendation from their friends or discover them on forums like Bitcointalk and Reddit, or on other social media websites.

For sure the thing is the term and condition is designed to only play along with the site own preferences and what protect them and their interest a long the line,  and this has been mentioned in the terms and conditions that the team receive the right to either amend and change the terms of service at any time,  this is why sometimes,  casinos change the terms and conditions at any time they deem it fit for them.

Sometimes,  some casinos will just draft and amend any terms of service and as it serves them right,  without minding what the impact of that change will be on their players at the end of the day,  but only none trusted casinos always change the terms of service at a particular time just to change the narrative to favour their case if there be any.
1302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Work & work & work until you begin to break, is there no way out? on: December 08, 2023, 09:33:31 PM

I hate to say this, folks won't stop working, won't stop the trajectory, won't stop the line goes up, won't stop the performance trajectory, folks begin to overdose drug to increase efficiency,

It's a bad thing to always work and never have plans on when to rest or take some break off the work, the worst that they make to complicate the whole issue is to have an additional use of drugs on themselves for more performance, this is not to increase the work efficiency, but at the long run, we are rather depreciating it because we are forcing our body immune to over stress and over work tirelessly.
Exactly my point also,  because with my research and experiment on drug uasge to improve efficiency it has been discovered that many have been publicly misled into believing such statement that drug increases they efficiency and fhat have made them to increase they drug in take,  but on the long run,  this have slow down the performance and drained out their ability to think in the right direction and some even lose the memory due to high intake of drugs.

Sometimes,  it is far better to understand your body systems and try as much as possible to run your working time around that naturally available things like not working too much and also taking adequate rest in between because the long-term impact of drug usage may destroy the person quicker than the over work he is trying to fight over.
1303  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 08, 2023, 09:20:37 PM
M
Yes, I agree.
This method OP is talking about and also de method of locking one's coin in general is something which will likely appeal to gamblers who cannot longer control themselves and decided to restricting access to their money is the way to go, but it would be ideal never to get to that point in the first place. What if the gamblers needs to access that money because some unexpected situation or an emergency? It does not sound healthy, it may induce the gambler to ask for loans to get by.

I would rather not lock all of the money and perhaps try to find someone I trust who would help me to manage my personal finances, instead of locking me out of them completely. It is a personal choice, in the end, to each their own...
When it comes to strong addicts,  giving the money to someone they trust could still result in them having access to that money when the urge to gamble becomes intense for them,  they will go against any agreement they hard with the person holding the money for them.

So the best approach is the lock of money that the ops point out, which is most effective even though the gamblers have self-exclude themselves from the casino,  there is still the need to lock their money away where they will be denied access to that funds to avoid any possible position of getting back into gambling due to the addiction pressure on him.
1304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Restart, is it a good thing for humanity? on: December 08, 2023, 09:14:19 PM
challenges and conflicts persist, and the trajectory of human development is influenced by a multitude of factors, including social, political, economic, and environmental dynamics. Whether humanity as a whole becomes "better" is contingent on our ability to address global issues such as inequality, climate change, conflict resolution, and the ethical use of emerging technologies
The offer mentioned reason are the many reasons why some are advocating for a restart and as a whole component we must have to come out with a lasting solution that will place the global class segregation into different classes that will freely interrelate and interconnect where both classes are dependent on each other because that way we solve the issues of inequality in the world and also pursue equal right and justice and a world where there will be no need for a restart or a conflict of interest among race and people.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: December 08, 2023, 08:17:19 PM
Today there are interesting matches from several clubs that I will take advantage  the predictions I make.
Al-Ta'ee, who will play against Al Hilal, from the predictions I have seen, Al Hilal will still win this match, it just that Al-Ta'ee will at least score 1 score, as when fighting Al Nassr at home they can score 1 score.
Next match Al Nassr will host Al Riyadh and I predict Al Riyadh a club that not too strong in the Saudi pro league but to withstand Al Nassr attack it might happen but they will not be able to score and Al Nassr recently has not been able to score more than 3 so I choose under 4.25.
For Al-Taawon and Al Feiha, it is very clear that these two clubs will definitely score at least more than 2 so I will choose over 1.75 but for victory, it looks like will end in a draw.
The Saudi Arabia leagues have been headed by Al Nassr which has the highest number of strong players who will work together with others in the team to deliver multiple winning in this season and even in their next match I am more confident in the Al Nassr teams and for that will give them a straight winning tickets.
Even as the Al Nassr team recorded a swooping 4 goals in their match today against the Al Riyadh who managed to record just 1 goal in the match after many failed attempts.

So with these records coming in for Al Nassr, it shows that the Saudi pro league will largely dominate the league and come top from that league.

1306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: December 08, 2023, 08:06:46 PM
Edited out
Yes, self-control and planning the rules that are made before starting to gamble are very important and these rules are about limits that should not be ignored by oneself, such as the mindset about gambling just for fun and limits about the budget that must be bet without having to deposit again after a loss.
The most important thing is actually just our own thoughts as long as we think that if gambling is only limited to getting something fun without risking a lot of money and without having to chase after money that has been lost, everything will be fine.
Gamblers who often lose control in their gambling do not have thoughts like I said before and you said this, so today gamblers think that gambling is not just for fun but to earn money.
Many times some players have failed in this direction in the sense that they already failed into indebtedness or heavy addiction problem before they knew that there have taken the wrong path and in trying to get out of that position will become a hard thing for them to do because it's far better and easier to maintained a well-guided principle that places you in a defensive position against and a mechanism that regulate their gambling time and spending.

So if it is that they failed in any way it then is that,  the approach failed them or the failed to follow the principle as it stated.

It is better not to chase after the money and rather stick to the fun part of things and apply all the necessary measures to sustain the gambler on a long-term base and none profit-seeking time.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: December 08, 2023, 07:22:30 PM
How do you manage the crypto market when altcoins die? So stay away from all the bad comments and try to get profit from crypto with best investment. All the altcoins you shared are very old and have been marketed with a large investor community. Moreover if you want you can buy and hold all these currencies with very low risk. Otherwise, you can trade if you want so keep negative thoughts about crypto and invest in good currency.
Sometimes,  all that we need to do is to stay away from the funds and news and just focus on our own personal analysis and research and hold only coins that have some form of stability in their price and also have the needed community that supports its growth and sustainability which is why we need to consider more of the old successful coins than relying on all the new coins that are getting all the hypes on the news today.

Most importantly we have to be wary of the temptation of holding altcoins most especially those that have high hypes surrounding them, if you must to hold any of such coins then it should be based on the fact that you are just gambling with their market and for a short term base.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador national treasury experience boost after Bitcoin surge. on: December 08, 2023, 07:08:19 PM
Don't know about other countries, we can just wait for someone to say something about it. But it's good to see that El Salvador is finally in profit. They proved that they were right. I hope others will follow their lead.
At the moment,  El Salvador is not yet in 100% profits on all their investment opening positions but we can rightly say that El Salvador is already around 35% in gains which is a good positive sign of an expected high profits merging for El Salvador,  but in as much as we are more concerned about the long term goal of El Salvador it important also to mentioned the progresses as it evolves along the way up.

But already we have a discussion thread that already covers a lot of discussions on the topic as regards El Salvador's Bitcoin journey which started in 2021.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you deal with high transaction fee on BTC on gambling? on: December 08, 2023, 06:49:31 PM
It's what I did. USDT BEP20 fee is just $0.50 and it's faster than every altcoin I know that's how I deal with bloated transaction fees and the miners are just picking which transaction they are going to mine. Even if you keep broadcasting the transaction it's gonna be ignored when the fee is just not incentivizing them.

This is why there should have been an internal exchange in the casinos in case you wanted to withdraw a stablecoin instead of BTC which could also take hours.
Good to know they credit the BTC without the confirmation yet.
Now, we are experiencing another increase in Bitcoin transaction fees. This will likely make most crypto gamblers switch to using altcoins instead of bitcoin. It is also possible that many crypto gamblers choose to take a break from gambling and prefer to monitor crypto market movements.

Current conditions make many small investors hold their bitcoins in their wallets and not send them to any exchange because transaction costs are increasing again. We don't know how long the transaction costs will drop to normal again. Hopefully, it doesn't take long.
I think for some of us who are privileged to gamble on some reputable casinos that maintain stable low withdrawal fees even though there are high transaction fees demands from the networks,  this makes withdrawal very easy and fast for us.

But the high fees will have a tell on you if you making Bitcoin deposits and for that,  I think we can choose to deposit other coins if we deposit from our exchange wallet and not a personal wallet,  the current situation with the network is highly existing for small gamblers who make frequent deposits directly from the wallets.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 08, 2023, 04:44:32 PM
The only true thing every gambler should learn is to find out the best moment to avoid and not continue playing if he is losing big. Also it is better you play in a very cozy relaxed place like in your home office studio or a coach in full quietness as that would be great to enhance his chances to win and even if he does not win it is a great ambient to think carefully and to stop playing when everything goes wrong.

Other than this I don't know what other things will enhance your session by avoiding them,it is something everybody knows that you should not play in a crowded mode with your friends as you are not that focused,so to keep the chat of the casinos off is a great way to remove distractions.

The gambler was playing in the gambling site which was the gaming site,So the possibility of loss also the part of the game. The experience gambler will know this fact, but this was the new fact for the gambler who was new to gambling site.Playing the gambling at the peace place was the important one for the gambler to make the better win in the gambling site.If the gambler was in the bad mindset it’s enough for the gambler to made the random bet in the gambling site,So the result will be the negative from my experience.
The first thing to have at the back of your mind as a gambler is that,  you can lose all of your money so it is advisable to gamble with only a small amount that you can afford to lose at any time since it is what is attainable with gambling at most and should clearly be accepted by the gambler before anything else.

And also having a mentality of becoming rich with gambling os another trap that can affect or get the gambler hooked on addictions for a long time,  so for that if you can have financial management and restrictions,  it will help a whole lot for the gambler to remain at flot with whatever outcome that may come across them.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: December 08, 2023, 04:17:08 PM
Every type of addiction is really complicated, especially when it comes to children who have no idea how serious it is.

Whenever possible, parents should pay close attention to the slightest sign of inappropriate behavior by their children when playing or using the internet.

We should also live a modest lifestyle as parents by not being the loosed type that we don't exercise caution from the way we gamble to the extent of doing it right in front of our children, we must not be the reason why they get exposed to gambling no matter what, being a parent, we should live by example, we must be intentional about the way of our children upbringings, parents should give the necessary attention on their children and not to complicate on the way they are living their lives through what they saw from us doing.
Most parents choose to go the other way round and do whatever they want in the presence of their kids without minding the impact of their actions in the life of their kids and many times they even go as far as teaching their kids about these addictive activities,  I can imagine a father that gambles in presence of his kid,  because you are indirectly teaching them how to gamble.

There is a popular saying that children are the reflection of their parents and for that,  the parents need to be extremely careful about the kinds of things they do in the presence of kids and try as much as possible to avoid being the tool that can easily influence the kids negatively.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: December 08, 2023, 03:35:32 PM
But those who are involved in such high-stakes bets are those who have taken sports betting as a way to make money in the form of investment.
I would not go that far to call sport betting an investment. It might be an EV+ game, but it is still have some luck factor and that luck factor can wipe out your balance after the end of the round.

A high-stakes game means more difficulty in managing the bankroll. While we talk about a 10% max of bankroll on any single bet, these people might go for more than that and end up with a loss. Personally I would never go that far unless I have some insider news.

Discipline here means less gambling from the player's side, which kind of negates gambling altogether.
Yes me either,  I won't take such route because high stake equal a higher chance of losing since the risk level will automatically increase due to the higher wager or odds and most times sports bets are only sure if they are made up of just one game selection and for that,  if you already have two games on your ticket it then means that you are going to be taking a higher risk since any of the games can catch your tickets.

But then also,  those that stake this kind of bet are already used to it and are aware of the risk and haven't a long time experience with some amount and regardless whether they win or not,  they always cover upnwirhnrhennexr big.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: December 08, 2023, 03:26:37 PM
New gamblers really have to learn more about gambling, not about the gambling game but more about the person so that they can avoid making mistakes when gambling. They must be able to have good self-control so as not to spend too much money, especially if they are new to gambling. They can read lots of experiences from other gamblers who often share their experiences playing gambling so that they don't have to have bad experiences when they are gambling. By gaining more experience that is definitely useful for them, they will be able to become gamblers who are wise in using gambling and will not gamble excessively. The most important thing is that they can avoid gambling addiction, which many gamblers may have experienced.
Great advice.
It doesn't apply to new gamblers only even experienced and old timers need to do like a gambling refresher especially when they feel like they are losing it and losing control. We shouldn't forget that one of the factors that make gamblers to go to the extreme may be a particular life situation that they are passing at that time and gambling for them is where they find comfort to escape that situation. Talking to others and not being isolated when passing through challenges is one of the solutions to extreme gambling. This is the advice I have.
First thing to do before you start your gambling journey os to first of all build a self control mechanisms that can place you in the best position to make the right decision along the way,  because most times,  the gambler is being too carried away with the game experience and at that there tend to take things too easy for themselves and don't have the right mindset that can protect them from sliding into negative position while gambling because many of them already lost the foundational understanding g the self-control to remain in a positive position.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 01:59:47 PM
If you look at previous history, halving and its influence on Bitcoin price spikes are indeed true. However, this also cannot be the next benchmark. Why do I say that, because the current supply of bitcoin is already and is almost approaching 21 million, maybe there are only 2.5 million left for all the bitcoin supply to be on the market? Of course, the influence of the halving is no longer very significant on price increases. And only mass adoption and use in the real world can influence prices because the more bitcoins are bought or used, the more demand there will be.

I'm sure this time Bitcoin's halving will still be able to print ATH.
I very well agree with you on this,  because the current Bitcoin supply is well enough to accommodate the current Bitcoin market demand and at that, just 2 million plus left Bitcoin can only make no significant effect on Bitcoin price so for sure we may have to wait longer after the bitcoin halving to see the next Bitcoin all-time high price and also we have to wait 6-9 months after bitcoin halving in the last before recording all-time high,  but now I don't know how that may be now that the current unmind Bitcoin is very low.

But let's see how all that goes because according to the timeline it is expected to see the block divide around April so for that the current Bitcoin state where the market is showing bullish sentiments.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 08, 2023, 01:49:30 PM

Since I have like 11 thousand dollars right now, I want to invest this amount in Bitcoin instead of keeping it in the bank. I know about investing in bitcoins and I know that there are risks involved, I am investing in the potential to grow money but I want to invest in bitcoins with the understanding that my money may go down due to market volatility. I decided to withdraw the money from the bank at the beginning of the new year and plan to invest the money in bitcoins. Now that I can't buy land, I will definitely hold this investment for a long time so that I get good returns at the end of the long term and I can also accumulate some more money through employment.

At the time I planned it I felt I should have planned it earlier.
Buying Bitcoin using your savings would be a good decision you can make. Instead of saving it in the bank without any progress, invest it to earn profit. Don't let the bank make use of your money, you are only making the bank richer, it should be you who benefits from your money and not them. Accumulate Bitcoin before halving, and invest only the amount you can take risk.
Alot have not been in alignment between the thread title and wt is being written in the body of the thread and at some point it seems to me that the ops have hard a lot of misconceptions along the line,  because what is being mentioned in the thread is about comparing Bitcoin vs bank balance but with the title he stated that he want to buy bitcoin with the money he want to buy land with,  so the comparison should be between Bitcoin and land not Bitcoin vs bank balance because we all know how worthless the bank saving thing is.

So for sure let look in the direction of land vs Bitcoin,  because in this my side of the world,  government approved land is a big deal for you,  for that it price appreciate heavily,  but also I know thos is not same with other part of the world because this land investment is only allowed where there is no government control over land and at that,  there could be a lot of land peddling at some point.
1316  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 🎄Xmas Sleigh Race for $800 000 | 🎁Collect gifts all the way! on: December 08, 2023, 01:33:50 PM
Regardless it is what it is,  and that is what makes gambling more exciting at some point,  you never know when the winning will come of when you hit he grand prize with any amount of betting,  the mate has taken the most risky step of his life by staking such amount and with that low chances of winning.

But still, he was lucky to have won such a huge amount in NFT so at least that will compensate for his confidence to have taken such a risk,  9.6k is not a joke to bet with,  but some gamblers are already big bag holders so such an amount won't border them much.

We don't know the financial status of this user, and it seems to me that these bets were not "the most risky move in his life." Who knows, maybe spending $9,6k for such risky bets for him is like a cup of coffee at Starbucks for a normal user.
By the way, Betfury added a new NFT(Bored Ape Yacht Club) worth $87k to that lootbox. At the same time, the size of one bet has increased already to $2k.
The financial status of the bettor must be on the high side and I am sure that this is not his first time of taking such a risk and for sure it has been a tough one for him to have taken such a risk at this point and if we have to consider most of the dice in place we are sure that 9.6k may still some throw away cash for the mate but then if you have to view it on the fun aspect of things you may see differently since at most you should have made up your mind and taken the bet to be out of greed because the same vet could have been placing with a smaller amount.

1318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Guide for newcomers Start a fun and profitable gambling entertainment journey o on: December 08, 2023, 10:30:49 AM
Let me start by giving this additional advice for every newbie gambler that they should not rush into gambling for any reason, we are most expected to gamble less and learn fast, this will help us not to get addicted to gambling or make series of unfortunate events with gambling which we should have avoided if we had been able to understand the normal protocols from the start, a newbie gambler should gamble moderately and earn his integrity being a responsible gambler by learning how to gamble and understanding the risk involved.
Yes, that is a fact for those who are just starting up gambling,  there is a need for adequate time and experience and any form of rush will amounttoo a negative experience which may not go well for the gambler at the end of the day,  experience comes with time,  and there is nothing like taking the time to build the needed skills and doing that,  you need to follow up with things the way their homes and along the line also making sure to gamble only with the amount you can afford to lose and also taking a break in between while gambling.

But let's check the last paragraph,  where you mentioned that newbie should be responsible,  do you mean responsible in handling their risk and finances?

If so then you made a very good point in that statement for sure I can take that advice since finance is one of the factors that affect gamblers most both newbies and some old gambler.
1319  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [Pigin: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message (Linux Only) on: December 08, 2023, 07:15:20 AM
Ops you have done really well by putting this up together to help newbies or even old members in guide to safely send an encrypted message I remember some time ago when I was still a newbie,  trying to figure out how to send an encrypted message it was hell for me to get it right,  but with this tutorial,  many of those who may have not done this before will eventually have a guide that will put them through and have it easily understood and apply since you wrote this thread in pigin since that na our own language where we dey understand most for this local board.

So for sure, this thread will help well for our local board and I would like to commend you for coming up with this and I have taken note of your efforts and in due time we will smile.

Since you asked if there be any correction or suggestions,  I for like to make you put in additional demands for anyone who want to try out in practice how to send an encrypted message you can put up your PGP public key here and let some try it out by encrypting a message using that and you verify such even if it a few of them at least that will give more inside practical experience to them and another reader,  hoping to see that development if it appealing to you.
