1321  Other / Meta / Re: Merits in WO on: September 18, 2023, 07:17:49 PM
This is great. Thanks for doing this. I'm guessing the unconnected dots means those accounts received merits from accounts that never received merits in the WO...

I don't mean to be bothersome but is there any chance to make this type of chart for merit sent in the WO thread (as opposed to received)? If its too much work, which is understandable, its no problem.

I can do it. I will post here in a few days.

I will try to add something to filter users on the visualisation.  I need to explore flourish a little further

All these (and some previous) discussions were started in order to examine the justification of using merit in the WO thread. If you are already dealing with these statistics, wouldn't it be more interesting to see how much of the earned merits come from the WO thread in relation to the total number of merits earned? At least for the most active users.
Or maybe such statistics already exist somewhere  Undecided
1322  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is there an exchange as similar as txbit.io? on: September 18, 2023, 06:56:35 PM
Txbet.io which is the exchange you are using as reference is already shutdown so most of us here doesn’t have any idea how this exchange looks like. It will be easier if you will describe what kind of feature you are looking for on an exchange so that we can suggest you the one that fit to your description.

I haven't seen anything spectacular in the appearance of this exchange, at least judging by what can be seen in the archive, and I honestly don't believe that just using this exchange was an amazing experience. https://web.archive.org/web/20230530195659/https://txbit.io/
What is more worrying is that people continue to use anonymous and dubious services under the pretext of exchange. Shouldn't we be more careful to whom we entrust money, even for a short time just for one trade?
1323  Other / Meta / Re: Cloudflare blocks creating new topic (Tor) on: September 18, 2023, 10:43:30 AM

Edit: I tried again: I can Preview, but can't create a topic on the Electrum board.

This is interesting because, with the preview option, you still make some kind of entry in the forum database. It can be said that you still have editor access to the forum.
If everything is up to date as suggested earlier by other members, maybe you should also check your internet connection. Are you perhaps via VPN? Is the current IP address you are using perhaps blacklisted due to spam or similar?

Why use TOR at the first place anyway? Can't you use normally?

What is normal? Who defines the term normal use of the Bitcointalk forum, You?
Why do you think that everyone should access the forum the way you do?

Yeah having privacy is important, I don't deny it. But for some people, they just don't care.

While some people care  Shocked
1324  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do we get the completed posts payment. on: September 18, 2023, 09:14:39 AM
I wasn't the dick move but living the both campaign without waiting to weekend was the dick move,
the payroll is more in coingame campaign then that of both campaigns combined.
here the calculation if you want:
yomix $1/post for 20posts= $20/week
zenland $0.75/post for 20posts= $15/week
$20+$15= $35 and current campaign have $40/week

Switching from one campaign to another is not a dick move, it happens and there are several reasons for it. But this complaint of yours about not being paid for wearing an avatar for two or three days is a dick move. Especially if you did not ask for or receive approval from the manager to remove the avatar.
I assume that if you asked the manager of the new campaign if you could keep the old avatar until the counting day, you would have received a positive answer.

Also, you really risked two long-established campaigns for one just launched for $5 more per week?

1326  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CryptoRadar Exchange on: September 18, 2023, 12:01:21 AM
The original layout was designed by man who was born in 1963 and did run his own exchange before it was shut down by government in his country...

A message for the designer, It is really necessary to keep up with the times, technologies develop and improve very quickly. It is not possible to work on the same thing for a long period of time, especially not when it comes to Internet technologies.

Quote
What comes to licenses and things like that, it really depends on applicable laws of the country the exchange operates from... Some countries like USA and Germany have stricter requirements than other countries. In some countries it's just illegal to run a cryptocurrency exchange.

You cannot justify how some exchange offices operate without a license, or where there are stricter regulations. Simply, you have to register and thus make your business official. We fight against illegal and fake services every day just to prevent it from becoming a regular practice, and now you use that as an excuse.

Quote
KYC and AML go hand-in-hand, most countries require complying to at least AML, but you can't have AML without some kind of limited version of KYC, even if a lot of cryptocurrency traders think KYC is just a government conspiracy, as some countries don't even allow storing KYC information for verification purposes, so the information must be re-collected each time and immediately verified without any delay.

You are right about AML and KYC, but, as a non-registered business, where do you get the right to demand any documents from potential customers? To whom do you justify the legality of funds, if you yourself are illegal? Who is responsible for monitoring your business?
1327  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CryptoRadar Exchange on: September 17, 2023, 09:40:03 PM
I think Bitcoin_Arena was being lenient with his comment on your site. I haven't seen a more miserable design in a long time. Even I am convinced that this is the first website of a 15-year-old kid.

Did you check your default domain https://cryptoradar.exchange ?
Do you really have reserved space for advertisements?

I see that you are currently doing an update on the site, why did you immediately come out to present it as a finished product, and you did not finish some of the most basic things? Plus it seems that you are not open to accepting the suggestions that you get from here.

Any information about its license and the team behind it?

Now he already changed some things on the page, but I previously saw that he reserves the right to ask for KYC info for withdrawals over $5k. Really, who in their right mind would decide to leave their KYC data on this page?

1329  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake LOCK my account after WINNING 100K on: September 17, 2023, 04:44:49 AM

That's... an interesting two cents. If I may ask for more context, did you register while you're still in German [thus registered within the prohibited jurisdiction], or did you register after living in Japan?

Hi holydarkness.
I registered around 3 years ago while being on a trip to Germany. After I came back to Japan I always used a German VPN, even though there was no need for it. Just didn't want to get blocked for some reason.
And for the last months, because now you can't login with a German IP anymore, I just used an Austrian IP without any problems.

And like I said, my home address registered with stake is in Germany, and I never got blocked or anything like that. Also there are MANY German players at stake, and Eddie acknowledges them all the time on stream.
So there are definitely plenty of loopholes in these TOS for some reason.

Have you tried to withdraw money from there? If so, what is the largest amount you have successfully withdrawn?

You are right about loopholes because they can always keep someone's money under the pretext that you are coming from a restricted zone.
1330  Economy / Reputation / Re: LoyceV's Avatar and Signature log (campaign managers read this!) on: September 17, 2023, 04:38:14 AM
Sounds good, but I guess they would have to keep list of participants updated all the time, that can be a hustle for some.
How can manager see if link in signature was changed, maybe with added different custom link or different website?

If the bot monitors any change, I assume that even after recognizing a new web address, it would write a new line in the log. Regardless of whether only the URL or part of the BB code was changed.

The only thing that can seem tiring here is the large number of campaign participants. Counting according to Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns currently have 739 places in bitcoin signature campaigns. I assume that there is still a certain number of those who switch from bounty to signature, so I believe that the number of participants in the campaigns is over 1000. So maybe it will be tiring until everyone is added to the tracking system
1331  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A platform for Hiring Affiliates on: September 17, 2023, 04:22:32 AM
I would like to know about a recommended platform for hiring affiliates with their own data.
I have many projects (crypto-related)  that I'm willing to market and I need quality marketers.
thanks to the helpers

Best to present your crypto projects first. If they are really good and promising, you will have no problem finding interested promoters. Each industry has its own specific market and requires a different approach to promotion. Also, if it is a question of ethically questionable services (cloud mining, money doublers, MLM, etc.), you may find it more difficult here, considering that this forum tries to stick to white-label businesses.
Of course, you can always start a marketing campaign, which is perhaps the most effective way to start, because you can't expect only influencers to represent your brand/business.
1332  Other / Meta / Re: Night Mode Needed - People Love Dark Mode - Admin Wake Up on: September 16, 2023, 07:11:00 PM
Bitcointalk forum needs dark mode. Many popular websites already have it, for example, youtube. People love dark mode, plus members can browse forum without straining their eyes.

Bitcointalk is not like other "popular" websites. Maybe it can't even be called popular, because ordinary users rarely come (or stay) here. Simply put, this forum is not as useful to everyone as YouTube or the like.
Before I came to Bitcointalk, I followed some very good forums that also worked on SMF, for me, this look is quite enough, and maybe it's just a matter of habit.
1333  Other / Meta / Re: Merits in WO on: September 16, 2023, 07:02:06 PM
Something should definitely be done. I suggest 0.1x all sMerits ever exchanged in the WO thread, rounded down to the nearest unit. Then, appropriate sMerits should then go to merit sources, to provide more appropriately. (whether this applies to user profile Merit count is another topic).
I don't think anyone should intervene or make changes to how people distribute merits. I don't think I have ever posted in that thread and I don't get me merits there, but it's not my problem how they merit each other, why, and how much. It's only a problem if there are merit sources selling their merits or creating some sort of exchange groups. I doubt theymos would intervene for anything else. If someone finds memes, humor, sarcasm, or tragedy merit-worthy, I don't think we should ask why that is.

Perhaps the merit obtained in WO should be expressed differently on each profile page (I believe that this would be possible with the BPIP browser extension). This would make it easier to distinguish those with "easy" merits and it would be much easier to point the finger at them during every discussion.

1334  Other / Archival / Re: ♻️ [banned mixer] — FAST, SECURE and RELIABLE BITCOIN MIXER (Since 2016) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on: September 16, 2023, 06:39:22 PM
Hello, i have a problem with coins which i got from cryptomyxer. As always i was trying to change btc to usdt on fixedfloat but my order was stopped and money was hold. Support service wrote me
"Your order was stopped because we received information from our partners that the funds in your address were obtained by criminal means. Your exchange is now being processed by our security team. Email us at info@fixedfloat.com to contact our security team. If you prove that the funds are not obtained by criminal means, we will definitely continue your exchange".
Messages to mailbox of Cryptomixer didnt get my message. What to do in this case?

Hello, sorry for the delayed response. I have PM you with the instructions.

Can we get an update on what is happening with this case?
As far as I can see on their page on Bestchange monitoring, there are still some complaints about the operation of the fixedfloat.com exchanger. This seems very risky and it would certainly be good if others were informed if there is a problem with this service.
1335  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: September 16, 2023, 03:10:19 PM
Best_change is one of the most sought after campaigns because it does not limit you to posting in boards that you may not particularly go to post in if you didn't have a requirement to. It is easy to boast about sticking to your beliefs when you have sat in arguably the two best campaigns in the forum. I am sure if everyone was entered into the BestChange campaign, gambling board posts would reduce by 90% and business would eventually shrivel up there.

Unfortunately, casinos have a financial grip over the forum, driving good businesses like BestChange out of the market of funding new posters.

Maybe you didn't look in detail, but Bestchange is one of the more demanding campaigns. For example:

- Don't spam. Post made after page 5 we usually consider as spam. We can accept no more than 10% posts of the weekly post quota (for example, 2-3 of 25), if posts are written after page 5.
- For the record, we will not count posts in the games and rounds section, Archival, Local, off-topic, politics and society, Signature and Bounty campaigns. Posts in these threads and boards where the Signature is not displayed will not be counted as eligible.
...
- We recommend avoiding topics with sensitive political agendas, in particular, the situation surrounding Russia and Ukraine these days. Since we, as a business, take up a neutral status,

For many users, it is not easy to write up to 5 pages or outside the local board.
Otherwise, the payment rate in this campaign is better than any gambling signature campaign, along with the longevity, it can be said that BestChange has no problem with gambling campaigns.
1336  Economy / Reputation / Re: Obsessive Conduct by "BenCodie" Over A Neutral Tag on: September 16, 2023, 11:30:37 AM
I have read almost everything in this thread, and I have the feeling that nothing is still clear to me. What seems to me to be the conclusion of the whole matter is:
- The neutral tag that Jollygood left on the Bencodie account is completely meaningless and unnecessary. It seems more like a personal note about a user, but unfortunately visible to everyone.
- Any complaints from BenCodie about this feedback or similar is also nonsense. At the time of the "drama" that Jolly is talking about, Bencodie was quite aggressive and argumentative, with serious insults to the other members. That's why I'm surprised that he complained about the neutral tag at all, while at the same time challenging the others.
- Now this thread as well, as a complaint about Bencodie's complaints regarding the neutral tag. Insanely. Jolly, if you had the need to open a special topic and write two long posts to explain your tag, maybe you should accept that it is not the most ideal way and the tag as such is completely useless to all other members.

Anyway, after several prompts from me, the OP decided to reply to my question about his disingenuous behaviour in the Whirlwind thread. After he semi-retracted with a "that is not what I said" comment rather than be humble and accept he made a mistake, I opted to leave a neutral tag

Do you really think that the fact that someone is not humble, because you think they made a mistake is a reason for any kind of tag?

I believe that you remember one discussion that you started quite aggressively, and for which it turned out that you misdirected the next scam accusations. Then I warned you where you were wrong, but you never humbly confirmed it. Later it turned out that I was right. So, is that a reason to give you a tag of any type for that?

So, you abuse the Trust system, ask for my feedback, "take it into account" and then stop trusting my judgement:

He kept the only The Sceptical Chymist on the list, I guess because of the comment above, where he didn't criticize him but Jollygood in some way.

1338  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 14, 2023, 08:07:35 PM

1339  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My crypto news site - cryptotalk.tech on: September 14, 2023, 08:00:09 PM
You have a good point, I will add the source link to the news, that way if any user wants to get the main source they will be able to. Is a fair deal.

I'm sure I'm right here and I advise you to solve this urgently. Currently, all Google and original text sources see you as a plagiarist. The fact that you are not penalized is only because your site is not yet highly ranked.
I didn't see which plugin you use for scrapping articles from other portals, but I know that most of them have the option to add a source + link at the end of the article.

Also, keep in mind that some portals do not allow the sharing of their content and it is not possible to get permission to transfer the content or the entire article. Maybe it sounds unimportant to you now, but the moment you think you've reached a certain level and gained regular users, you may be fined or even sued. After hard work, this is not a desirable result.
