1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pre-mined and Facebook distribution on: August 06, 2014, 02:45:12 AM
10$? More like a few bucks. Those processes can be automated as facebooks verification system is also seriously flawed. I read on a big blackhat forum, that some guys buy a landline with an unlimited number of phone extensions. Then they mass register accounts to abuse facebooks ad system and sell likes and reposts and friends. Those accounts are made extremely fast and cheap. If those guys would get 10$ per account they'd just make tons more and sell until price goes down Wink

Facebook released a statement in one of the stock related publishings, that they beleive up to 25% are fake accounts (I think that number is too small!)
Please, sure it can be true, but without link to the source and proofs it's just cheap talk.
You can even find hitman on the deepweb Roll Eyes

Bytheway, it seems that with Stellar and their new checks it's working well.
Are there any new Stellar millionaires that have spent just few bucks?

Just did a search and found that I could buy 90 day old facebook phone verified accounts for $3 each. Hell, those guys will even fill out the account with a "history" etc so it looks totally legit with friends and everything.. lol

Does it occasionally take a long time for a transaction to confirm? It's been over 24 hours and a transaction of mine is sitting at only 6 peers.

Usually not, but it can happen if you paid no transaction fees.

I paid the 1. Does it also depend on the size of the transaction? This one was roughly 25k bytes in size.

The bigger the transaction, the bigger the tx fees should theoretically be. However, I always pay 1 doge and have never had any transfer problem.
Could you post the link in dogechain.info to your transaction?

I could, IF it was actually on there, but it's not at this point. Have been waiting for it to show up there as I'd then reset the Multidoge blockchain and see if it's just not showing up right in there. Multidoge now says it's up to 8 peers that have seen it. Few more hours and it will have been 48 hours since I initially sent it.

Ok, 6 days since this happened and today I reset my blockchain and transactions and it disappeared from my list. So does this mean I was somehow on a fork? It was saying 12 peers had seen the transaction, seemed to add 2 a day.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pre-mined and Facebook distribution on: August 06, 2014, 01:33:29 AM
Verified Facebook accounts .... because it's difficult that there will be more than one account for person.
That's completely false. There are TONs of people with more than one "verified" account. Not to mention all the "blackhatters" that have boat loads of accounts. Guys that are making a shit ton of money using facebook ads go through a lot of "agency advertising" accounts as well which aren't easy to setup and yet they create new accounts day after day when their others get shut down. Couple months ago I wanted to test something and bought 25 youtube phone verified accounts for $5. I'm sure you could find the same sort of thing for facebook.

Fact is, there's no way to distribute anything "fairly" on the internet as there are always people that can come up with a way to get a lot more than anyone else. Not to mention that not every uses or wants to use facebook (there's threads on the Stellar forum complaining about the use of facebook).

Is this still ongoing? Just wondering if I should change my sig to the one with the link or not. Also turns out the address I had in there was wrong so any coins sent got burned I guess.

hi
someone explained to me why in my wallet balance is lower than the confirmed balance?
thanks

I was having that problem for awhile as well and redownloading the block chain would fix it.. also, I upgraded to the latest and greatest Java and I don't think I've had that problem since then. But I haven't left my wallet open for long periods of time (which would cause the issue in the past) for awhile now so not sure if it still crops up or not.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unattanium: Broken by design. on: August 04, 2014, 11:41:33 PM
yawwwn. Just buy or mine the real coin 'unobtanium' ... why do people even bother with this?

Was going to say the same thing.. The Unobtanium guys actually increased their block time a month or so ago in order to slow down mining and put things back in order.. And it's gone from something like 0.003 to 0.005 I think in the last couple weeks. Sounds like the Unattanium guys need to do more reading on the forum about what works and what doesn't lol

Pumping? This community has actively discouraged the price rising, who does that?
In what way has the community actively discouraged the price rising?

I tried my best to push past the manipulated orders alone and get some momentum going but all I got was Troll accusations. Well you got your coin down to chump change I hope it's makes you happy. I highly doubt we will come back from a 40th place on CoinMarketcap now. All decent coins have an early rise and price spurt. Unfortunately Qora didn't get one and it won't.

Ok, but you didn't answer my question. How exactly has the community actively discouraged the price rising?

some ppl really think cryptocurrency could some day overtake fiat or even challenge fiat the slightest bit . . . . .

ROFL!  slow shitty blockchain technology can never challenge new world credit card transactions and good old cash.   what mind altering drugs do u nifty boys guys take? i will be paying with my mobile phone through my bank account like 99,99999999% people of industrialized nations.  "crypto"currency is NOT going to be the thing.  virtual currency by visa, mastercard and co. will be the thing, digital fiat as used today.  absolute nobrainer.

~CfA~

Only been looking into this for the last couple weeks and I have to agree with you. How much value has BTC lost in the last week? Businesses certainly can't afford to have that sort of instability in their revenues, especially if they work on slim margins.

Oh good lord.. lol... So here's a tip for those with Stellar. Keep them yourself. Send them all to justcoin (and you'll get your extra 1000 when you send to justcoin), and then sell them there. I made 0.044 today (a lot more than the 0.006 being offered here) doing that and didn't give any coins away to anyone.
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Get Thousands of Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 12:39:01 PM
So many scum bags trying to rip people off with the Stellar thing. Like the guys offering to buy a persons 6000 or so for $2.. WTF.. I sold mine for $28.

And this guy.. At least other people are offering to send 500-800 back.. he just wants to take all 1000 as if he's doing you a favor. Hell, send your Stellar to justcoin, get the extra 1000, and sell them all for at least $20 without any of these parasites taking anything from you.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - Oficial Discussion Thread! Distributing the coins! on: August 03, 2014, 12:29:06 PM

probably it is a regular thing about the node.js language - but isn't it unsafe to enter your password in a browser?

please forgive my ignorance, but how can it be safe when it is sent to an ip somewhere?

in the case of NXT I can understand that the client is running locally and the PW does not leave my machine - but what if someone does IP spoofing or packet inspection?

so let me just assume that my password is processed locally in javascript and the communication with the server is done  secured by the password but not containing the password in cleartext?
That would make most sense to me.

Since it's node.js your password should be processed locally yes.
It seems to  be transfered in clear text though: http://picpaste.de/pics/node_test-SwrhxlUv.1407051530.png

node.js has nothing to do with what's going on with your browser or communicating with the site. node.js is only running on the server itself. As for the password issue, they don't have the server setup with SSL at this point. Once they do, it will be just like any other financial site like your bank, paypal etc. Even this site is using SSL.. So for now, yes there's an issue.

With a price now of 1500 satoshi, XCR has a market cap of 1500BTC, making it #40.  The volume of 67 BTC, places XCR in the top 20.

With additional trading today, XCR may make the top 10 or even #7 for past 24hrs

As far as I understood, pre-trading on BTER is only able for people who participated in the IPO. Is that true or is it possible also for people who didnt take part in IPO?

Well, you cant sell any XCR unless you own it first... so the selling is by the original investors.  Anyone can buy.

After you buy, then you can sell.

Ok I see, thank you. I was only wondering...
I dont expect a MAJOR climb in price before 10.August. Its like an extended IPO period which helps distribution. I expect price to rise significant after release. Its a shame I didnt buy more during IPO  Cry

Juist wait. I expect the first pump this night (GMT)

More than likely. It appears lots are looking to sell at 200% IPO, 300% IPO and 2000sat. Probably take a couple days to shake everyone loose.

Anyone watched crypti fall to ipo price levels. Thats what happens to coins that are ipo'd to a shit ton of people. expect the same again people.

IPO price was around 900 and the lowest it's gone is around 1200. Currently holding around the 1400 mark. So not there yet.

If they have not confidence in this coin why they invested 15 BTC in the ipo? Lol. Only for a profit of 30%? Thatīs taking too much risk for too low profit chance...
The guys that dumped at 2000 more than doubled their money. That's a pretty damn good return for less than a months time.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update Now to 0.9.5 wallet on: August 01, 2014, 01:05:54 PM
So I've got this dogecoin issue, transaction still hasn't been confirmed after almost 2 days, only seen by 7 peers. Anyway, while trying to research how long it's "supposed" to take etc, I ran across this chart.

http://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/confirmationtime-uno.html

So I see you updated things prior to that to go to the 3 min block times. Why is that? Someone mentioned it would slow miners from dumping, but given how few coins can actually get mined anyway for this coin, isn't it sort of a minor issue? Also, what's KGW and how is it beneficial? And yeah, I'm a newb.
