1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is up $4500 in 30 munites? on: January 30, 2021, 02:02:39 PM
Elon Musk brought bitcoin to the moon for awhile... don't worry we are back, bitcoin is trading now at $34k.
No, we cant directly give credit to Musk. Exchanges were high in liquidity due to dodge pump. As soon as Elon changed its bio, whales shifted the liquidity to BTC resulting in approx 40% dump in Dodge and 15% pump in BTC.

That could be one, but since there's no certain reason for the pump and the Elon Musk bio change has been perfectly timed minutes before the pump, so that's the reason why a lot of people are pointing the Elon Musk tweet as the closest main reason for the pump, including some of the articles.
However, we all know that pumps and crashes doesn't only focused on one reason, but there could always have the major one.

Indeed this might not be the main reason for the pump but I pretty sure that this was a trigger. Imagine Bitcoin is just sitting for about $31k or something but when the news started to outspread, Bitcoin suddenly goes up while Dodge starts to dump as well this could only mean big investors and whales do really liquidate on BTC. But maybe this could be the only reason because there's no big news besides on it that could make Bitcoin move in a single amount of time.
1322  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Almost lost all of my coins in an exchange last week on: January 30, 2021, 10:31:54 AM
Fortunately, you were able to withdraw your stash out on that exchange, that is why it is not recommended for us to use the exchanges platform to store our assets because you don't have full control over it. No matter how much trusted the exchanges are don't ever leave your asset on it for a longer time especially if it is a pretty decent amount. Since you are onto holding you placing it on a hardware wallet is most recommended. You have a point that it must be an inside job 'cause there's no way they can change your password without your permission unless there's an insider on the platform. There's no hundred percent trusted or secured system exists that is why we should always be careful especially when it comes to money.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters are getting axed harder on: January 29, 2021, 03:46:32 PM
I look backward and see a lot of challenge facing bounty hunters and I can only see that things will get harder. The mental stress of looking for the right bounty to promote, waking up in the middle of the night for several hours to complete tasks for months just to realized you won't get $1 for all your time.

It is another scenario when you discover that the project you promoted is doing great at the exchange market but you realized the team are refusing to give the reward of your labour or change the rules regarding the campaign just to make it hard for you to get your reward.

I think most of this project team see hunters as being toothless because they know the worst you can do cannot affect their project. They name you different names just to make you look like a fool in the eyes of investors.

Until there is a way to deal honorably with these team, hunters will continue to suffer
And that is the sad truth. Personally, I've used to participate in bounty campaigns a lot way back in 2017 and I'd say that the rewards at that time were absolutely worth but right now only a few of them are able to provide a decent amount because most of the campaigns now are likely a scam. The odds of getting a worth bounty campaign right now is very low and it is hard for them to spot, you need to scrutinize every each of them for you to tell if they are good or not. And that is one of the reasons why I don't pay attention much to the bounty campaign, it's better to work hard on your account so that you could participate in signature campaigns, I'd say they are really worth your time.
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin vs eth on: January 29, 2021, 03:08:20 PM
A year ago I bought 1 BTC and 20 ETH
I have very high hopes for eth and was wondering if I should transfer all or some or none of that bit coin into eth.
It’s dumping right now but I was thinking since there’s a discrepancy in the price might be a good time to get in
Let me know ur thoughts
Thanks so much
If you bought both BTC & ETH a year ago, and still thinking if you should transfer those BTC into ETH then maybe you missed the new ATH of both coin/token? If you still holding both and getting FUD because it's on the verge of correction, what you should do is keep on holding those 'til another ATH has come.
I don't think it's too late because the market is about to rise again especially Bitcoin surging so fast from $30k into $38k in a single amount of time. I'd say that this could be the right time for you to make a profit. You could for more though but I wasn't so sure if this will last longer, I'd suggest is to set your exit and don't be greedy. Being greedy is one of the reasons why we always lose the opportunity to make a profit and always ended up having no choice but to wait for a couple more years for another ATH.
1325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you buying right now ? on: January 29, 2021, 02:04:24 PM
There is no wrong or right time to buy Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just a coin which is competing to be recognized as a digital currency. This year has been particularly good for bitcoin. I can only say that the next few weeks looks good for bitcoin because of some major announcements regarding adoption of bitcoin but any bad news can topple the whole market and bitcoin may loose its value again.

So you mean everytime we buy some bitcoin then it's good decision made by us? Well for me no since it's so wrong to buy at the peak since most provably we will lose our money when dump hit the market and it's so stressful to hodl while waiting for bitcoin to rise again. So best to spot the right timing since it will make you gain from your trades.
I do believe that there is no wrong or right to buy Bitcoin cause the outcome will all depend on what process will you do. Like if you are doing day trade I am pretty sure that there will be some ups and down will occur thus you will still able to get profit even if it is just small. Long term, on the other hand, there's no problem buying at the peak 'cause if you were a dedicated holder you will be able to wait for a long time even it if takes years or more, and honestly, there are people who can pull that off. However as much as possible, it is recommended to buy on dips rather than entering in a random market price.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: January 29, 2021, 01:08:55 PM
The price probably spiked due to the fact that many hodlers were biding their time waiting to buy the dip at the lowest point, so quickly bought as they feared Musk's tweet would send the price higher.

Sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Yeah, I'd say that it would be the case. Imagine Bitcoin was just hovering around $30k-$31k and after Elon's tweet, the price suddenly zoom and now about to reach $40k once again. It is true that Elon was an influential person, his enter might not be the major cause of this sudden move but this became a trigger for everyone to come and do the same. This is proof that an influential person can manipulate the whole market. I knew the rally wasn't over.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 28, 2021, 05:24:25 PM
I'm sure everybody have checked and saw the big drop -18.8% in 24 hours to be exact and keeps going down, we don't know if it will go further and so are the other top coins in the market, are you in panic, nervous that the market is bleeding like this, or do you accept this as part of the market movement, what kind of trader are you
I am a holder but sometimes I do spot trading and yeah some coins are undeniably dumped right now and some of them somehow stabilize like Bitcoin which is hovering around $30k-$31k. But anyway, panicking will not do anything good in fact it could make your trade even more which leads to your loss. Instead, think of something that could help you to manage and turn the tide on your side. Holders won't have any problem with it because if there will be some dip they will take the opportunity to buy and hold until they reach their target price. You know how volatile the crypto market is that is why you gotta adjust with it otherwise you'll be in trouble.
1328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what have you learn? what do you need to learn? on: January 28, 2021, 03:24:39 PM

Can you share your journey and what you have learned and achieved from the beginning when you first step foot here in bitcointalk?

Honestly, without my friend, I wouldn't encounter this forum because he is the one who introduced me to this platform. He told me that I can make a profit out of it so I created an account but not only the profit I found but also the knowledge in regards to crypto space. I was amazed that these things can actually work. By then I read a few threads in regards to rules, what are the do's and don't, and more. Then my friend leads me to the services section and bounty where I can participate in any campaign I want and that where it all started. By then I received grands of different tokens and such, this is the time I also learn how to trade and to invest. The majority of my knowledge with crypto are all came here that is why I am grateful in this forum for giving me such wonderful wisdom and money of course. And as of today, I still continue learning new things.
1329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you develop stronger hands? on: January 28, 2021, 12:45:32 PM
Let's say you analyze the charts, you make a call, and place a trade with a certain time horizon.  How do you avoid getting 'shaken out' in the short term?

I'm finding my calls are right, way more than 50% of the time, but I'm not as profitable a trader as I should be, because it seems more often than not, there's either a dump out, the chart starts to look like it's turning bearish and I begin to lose confidence in my calls.  Then I might set a stop loss and there's a shake-out, it eats through my order, then the trend turns around and basically does exactly what I had originally called.  Or if it starts dumping I might panic sell.

I'm typically more profitable if I do not even look at the chart, like at all, after making my buy.  Not sure that's good either.

What do you recommend in this case?

I'm also thinking, if I had a read that the price was going to fall short term before the long, then I could get a better entry, but it almost always takes me by surprise. Is it whales that are swinging their whale dicks, that do that (and thus why I don't see it lining up that way), or is it just me?

Any feedback welcome.
Just set aside your emotion because if you got carried away that is the time you'll get panic and lose everything that is why you must control as much as possible. The next thing to do is to have a plan and you gotta stick to it. There could times that your plan will not work but that is okay there will be a lot of opportunities ahead besides, it is normal in this market due to the fact it was volatile. Just don't be greedy and don't panic. Better to set a stop loss and make a target price to sell. And once you set your targets you don't need to watch the market all the time 'cause there's a chance that it would create uncertainty or confusion that could cause a panic.
1330  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 28, 2021, 11:15:19 AM
we are in 2018 again (after the 2017 ath).
this is the most difficult trading window available: if you are here for the long run then don't be worried but if you can't keep up with some franticvolatility, refrain from buying and selling.

yes now it's time to sell, looks like the price will return to 15000 $. that's just my advice, before losing the price

I don't think the rally is done. Perhaps whales are manipulating the price making confusion across the market so that they can accumulate more. It's too soon for a bear market to enter that is why I believed that it will bounce back getting back at $40 again. If you take a look we've been hovering around $30k-$31k for a couple of days and if the bear markets really coming to the price should now be dropping but it's not because the resistance was strong, everyone is confused. But it is still your call after all, if you think the market will bounce back then hold or buy more but if you think it's over then try to liquidate on Alts because it's looking good on alts right now.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: January 28, 2021, 09:54:34 AM
What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? Will you sell all of your Bitcoin for cash? Or will you go long in the hopes of Bitcoin reaching higher prices on the market? Will you donate your profits to a charity? Just curious to know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Honestly, I wasn't so sure if Bitcoin will hit $1millions in the future because it is too good to be true but anyway, only time can tell. Well hypothetically, let say it happen I think will still like am doing right now hold for the meantime, and if the opportunity arises I will sell then buy again when it falls, just a cycle. If it really hits a million a lot of individuals become millionaires especially those early adopters. Donating to a charity is a good thing probably I might do that when it happens 'cause I wanted to help anyone in need.
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UNI coin is the next BNB. ? on: January 27, 2021, 03:47:21 PM
UNI could surpass BNB in rank on coinmarketcap but is there something to achieve from the rank? They are both crypto exchange coins, one is centralized (BNB) and the other ( UNI ) is decentralized, if you are thinking of investing it's better to buy both
I wouldn't suggest to invest on a coin launched by exchanges because the price/worth is based on the exchanges reputation. If the reputation is good, popular and trusted, the coin will have high value and vice versa.

As we can know many exchanges already got hacked from past until now and still counting Hacked Exchanges since 2011
Yeah exactly. Not all the exchange tokens could perform like those two so you still be careful in choosing them as much as possible choose those reputable ones. Honestly, I've used to get few exchanges way back then but I'd say that they are now good as Binance or UNI. Anyway, there's a chance for UNI to surpass Binance though if it performs well to the other one. But surpassing it doesn't make any difference at all(for me at least), I mean they are really worth coin to invest after all.
1333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So how do i make daily20- 40$ here ? on: January 27, 2021, 03:03:43 PM
Simple doeble instructions to make small money daily 20-40$
? Whats most easy way ?
And its small money specially if we look how expensive is life  20 $ is very small daily

What are the simple doeble process to follow to make it
I know one way to earn $20-$40 daily and it is future trades but the risk is very high though it is likely to have a ratio of 50:50. 50% you gotta make money and 50% you will lose all of your capital. I personally tried it and believed me I doing so good at first but later on, I got greedy and lose it all. It may be risky but I think you'll be fine as long as you know what you're doing like making market analysis and such.
1334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for Trading on: January 27, 2021, 02:24:05 PM
...
I felt I read a lot of threads regarding this but I appreciate it. Of course, it is better to keep reminding it so that newbies make less a mistake as much as possible. To be honest, these tips are easier to be said but when you are in the actual situation I bet you might not able to follow them. Like when making an exit, most folks are getting greedy when they getting so much profit and so does if they chasing their losses. You know what maybe if you can able to control your emotions you could pull it through.
1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy more Bitcoin on: January 27, 2021, 01:45:57 PM
Good opportunity to buy the dip right now if you have any spare fiat lying around. It won’t go much lower before we begin the next leg up so buy what you can now.
good advice from you...
Bitcoin is predicted to rise higher than now because so far the news circulating is very positive. if someone says buying Bitcoin at the current price is too late then he will continue to say that even when Bitcoin touches $ 100k.
Not a hundred percent sure on this though because positive feedback was not enough I think. I think it still depends on the whales and large institutions if they are going to push it. Well, I'd say small investors could matter as well but not as big as investors can impact the market. Anyway, it is indeed the right time to buy Bitcoin since we currently on $30k right now besides, I don't think whales are gonna dump right now. This correction will take a while but it will bounce back, I believe.
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Bitcoin scams? on: January 27, 2021, 11:24:48 AM
To answer your question in title:

- You read about other people's experiences - how they got scammed - how they avoided getting scammed - etc
- You do not trust anyone
- Always check before doing business with any company - read reviews about websites or companies you plan to order something from
- NEVER give your private key to anyone
- If you ever get contacted by anyone you do not know via private messages, talk with them and see how they operate (as they are most likely a scammer)
Also don't click any random links 'cause you don't know where it leads to or what might activate when you enter the link. You also must check the link you are going with because I've seen many duplicated website, there's a high chance that is a phishing site. In general, to avoid these scams all you need to do is to be knowledgeable because ignorance was not an excuse. Just a reminder, scammers have always a new way to scam people so gotta be careful. Mostly the links are sent through email that is why if you received suspicious mail better not to open it.
1337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin? on: January 26, 2021, 04:06:21 PM
Currently, if you want to buy any altcoin, it is very difficult. You can't choose an option quite easily. Also, the crypto market is currently volatile. In such circumstances if one wants to buy altcoin. So what should be the main focus?
Well, it's not that quite hard because you can choose among the top listed coins on CMC unless you are a fan of newly created coins and love taking a high amount of risk, yeah that would be a lot difficult. Personally, I choose coin in accordance to the volatility yes but mainly on the volume, the highest volume the better for me at least. That is why I personally taking ETH, BNB, DOT, and more 'cause they are really good coins to invest with. There could be potential on new coins as well but it is more likely you are mining a diamond, it's pretty rare.
1338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: January 26, 2021, 03:06:13 PM
Hi Everyone, I have a dilemma since I am holding an wholesome portion of bitcoin. With all the speculation going on in the market I don't know whether to sell or hold on my bitcoin. I've been wanting for more than a week to see if bitcoin's price improves, but it is only falling more and more.

I've gone through dozens of analysts' blogs, websites, market cap sites, price prediction sites, and all the important bitcoin market sites to find the right answer. But I am still unsure.

So, can anyone please tell me if I should dump my bitcoins with some losses (selling at lesser price than the buying price), or should I hold on to it?

There is also another reason. A promising stock just opened up. So should I sell my bitcoins and but the new stock that I'm interested in?

Viketo Sumi (Armani123)
Well, that depends on you though like if you believe that it is worth waiting and take the risk then go hold it. If you think you don't need that money for something else then go for it otherwise sell. Personally, I don't think is done, it may be quite stable right now, hovering around $31k-$32k but I don't think whales are ready to make a profit yet and I think they are going to push it more that is why in my case I will keep holding it. Dumping it right now might be a bad idea but if Bitcoin totally goes down and you forced to sell on that price it is even worse so yeah it is a dilemma. You can wait till goes up but it might take a lot of time though. Anyway, it's still your call.
1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Another Chance for BTC to Hit $40K This Week? on: January 26, 2021, 12:41:48 PM
For reaching that and suddenly the price that many people still keep looking forward that we can see that figures to be reached again although its quite hard for now for seeing the market is on bloody shape but still chances is so high due to some good support as well hypes floating around. But I don't really think bitcoin will reached at $50k for first quarter of the year since we might gonna see some struggling phase right now.
Yeah. I also have the same thought. The momentum is quite slow right now in fact, it only hovers around $31k-$32k for the past couple of days so I don't think it will go back $40k this week. There's a chance though but not certain. $50k for the 1st quarter of the year seems possible since there are a couple of months left and it is still early to conclude. It's unlikely to go up again at $40k and so going down at $20k, apparently, we are going to stay here for a while.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if internet connectivity gets terminated on: January 26, 2021, 11:00:18 AM
By that time what will happen with the banking process if there happens a termination of internet connectivity for few days time.
I don't think they will let the internet be terminated for few days or more because most of us revolve around the internet right now and having terminated for a while will cause vast damage. Not only crypto will be affected but the economy of everyone's country, billions of money will be gone. That's why it's not gonna happen. Losing internet connection was the weakness of everything not only Bitcoin. Vast networks are we talking here so if it's got terminated and so most of the transactions are.
