I work for ICOs but have never offered bumping service.
Then what is that? https://imgur.com/skFpg14 🤔

The neg trust looks perfectly valid.
13362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transfer from Coinbase to Electrum not showing on: January 19, 2018, 11:55:10 PM
That has worked! Absolutely spot on, thank you.. a quick question hopefully to add to this, when I got sent the LTC, I noticed there was a bit missing, I've read about it being 'change' from a full block or something like that, is there a way of getting this back as well? Thanks for all your help guys very much appreciated.
You are probably talking about the transaction fee. There is no way to recover that amount since it was paid to the miners to get your transaction confirmed. Even if you sent the LTC to the wrong address, the transaction was still valid and it got confirmed (for a price, which was the tx fee).
13363  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transfer from Coinbase to Electrum not showing on: January 19, 2018, 11:01:46 PM
Ok looking in to this further and realising I need a LTC wallet, because I've sent this to a BTC wallet key, is there a way of retrieving it?
So you were using Electrum for BTC (downloaded from electrum.org), right?

And I assume you are using a 2FA wallet and the address you used to receive the coins starts with a 3, right?

If that's the case, just follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umsIy1ks8vg
13364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best place to sell Litecoin similar to localbitcoins? on: January 19, 2018, 10:40:40 PM
Maybe https://www.litecoinlocal.net? That's probably the closest "localbitcoin" kind of site I could find for LTC.

(P.s: I'm not vouching for this website. I actually never heard of this website as I don't have LTC and don't "follow news about their ecosystem")
13365  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex sucks on: January 19, 2018, 08:26:08 PM
Why would an exchange have so many problems that it needs 100+ staff?
I don't think you understand how many new users/tickets/deposits they get per day and how difficulty is to handle all of them with a few staff members.

I remember that I read that in 2017, Poloniex were getting over 1000 new support tickets PER DAY, with more than 2100 tickets in some peak days. Now imagine Bittrex that has almost the double of Poloniex daily volume. How many tickets/users/deposits/withdrawals do you think they get per day? And how many when Bitcoin has a price sprike and go mainstream?

Other examples: Coinbase gets 1 million new users in just 1 month[1].

13366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For anyone who has sent BCH to a Bitcoin Segwit address... on: January 19, 2018, 06:37:24 PM
hello
i have sent bch to a coinpayments btc addres do you think that they can help me too?plese take your time to answer me,thank you
IIRC, this only works if you sent BCH to a Segwit address. I saw your thread and in your case, the conditions are totally different (2FA address).
13367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I sent bch/bcc to a btc address on: January 19, 2018, 06:30:21 PM
There is nothing you can do. The only way possible of recovering your BCH is if the person controlling the private-key of the address (Coinpayments, BitGo or whoever does) cares enough to do so. In this case, you are probably out of luck.
13368  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Always lose money if you go FIAT--->GDAX-->Binance ? on: January 19, 2018, 08:00:08 AM
GDAX and Binance are two different markets. So they will obviously have a difference in their prices (different/higher volume like you said).

And correct me if I'm wrong, but if GDAX price is higher, why would you lose anything if you are selling for a higher price (same price as you bought)? E.g: If you buy $190 at GDAX, send to Binance (worth $180), profit 5% ($180 + $9) and back to GDAX ($190 [since GDAX price is higher] + $9), wouldn't you receive the same initial amount (+ profit) as GDAX price is always higher?

I don't think there is any workaround as this is exactly how markets work.
13369  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WageCan - Gold card on: January 19, 2018, 07:43:43 AM
That's the price you need to pay if you want a Bitcoin debit card outside the USA. WageCan card isn't provided by Wave Crest (which is probably why they cost so much), so they weren't blocked by the recent rule that killed 95% of the Bitcoin debit card ecosystem.

The other way is to order the one from Bitpay. But those are only issued in the USA (by Metropolitan Commercial Bank) since the card for non-USA users was also provided by WaveCrest.

For the user talking about UQUID, they also stopped working: https://uquid.com/blog/2018/01/uquid-update-17-1-2018
13370  Other / Meta / Re: Stop fake bitcointalk clones on: January 19, 2018, 06:18:17 AM
What is your suggestion? How exactly would we "stop the fake bitcointalk clone websites"?
13371  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is Electrum a safe wallet to keep bitcoins? on: January 19, 2018, 06:13:55 AM
-snip-
I can say for sure that EVERY SINGLE case I ever read about how "Electrum stole me" or "Electrum is unsafe" turned out to be the user's fault. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. I (plus a HUGE part of the community) am using Electrum for over 2 years and I trust them. Even after this security issue, I have never seen a single case where someone lost their funds due to this exploit. So, IMHO that was (probably) your fault.

1. Norton AV can't find every viruses. And if you had a malware, a big password doesn't mean anything.
2. Are you sure that you downloaded the wallet from Electrum.org? I can remember at least 2 cases where the user claimed that he did while he actually downloaded a fake software from electrumwallet.com or something similar.

Is there any way you can help me get my money back?
I don't think so.

or anyone you can recommend that can help me track down the owner of this wallet where my funds were sent to
That's very unlikely.

or recommend someone who knows how I can file a lawsuit against Electrum?
Probably just a waste of time.

Btw, why aren't you storing over $110k in BTC in a hardware wallet?
13372  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet has been synchronizing for over a month - please help on: January 19, 2018, 04:33:31 AM
You will probably need to do this:

Quote
You need to upgrade to 2.9.3 for syncing to work properly. In Tails it's hard (near impossible?) to upgrade using normal method so your best, easiest way is to download the tar archive from electrum.org and run portable. Here's a 123...

1. Download from electrum.org - be sure correct https site.
2. Open terminal, change to Persistent folder (or wherever if no persistence but then you'd have to download each session): "cd Persistent"
3. Unarchive the tar you downloaded: "tar -xzvf Electrum-2.9.3.tar.gz"
4. Change into that new folder: "cd Electrum-2.9.3"
5. Run it. If you have Electrum persistent then run normally, eg "python electrum" and it will use your normal wallet. If not then use the -P option for "portable" and you'd need to copy the wallet file in or restore each session (since not persistent): "python electrum -P"

This downloaded copy is independent of the 2.7.9 installed and doesn't touch that but since it's not working any more you may want to create a dekstop icon for this copy. Basically copy the electrum.desktop file from the current folder to your ~/Desktop folder and then edit it to have correct paths to exec. But you also need to set persistence for Dotfiles to persist the icon - more steps but ask if you really need that.

Have you set an address when you login to the website dashboard and click the button "OPTIONS: wallets" to open the Global options screen?
13374  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Coinbase to Electrum HUGE fee on: January 18, 2018, 08:31:40 PM
So my friend sends  .00685244 BTC, which was $77.
When i see it receiving into my Electrum, it is already down to .00570095 BTC, which is $64.
This is Coinbase's fee paid to the miners. Coinbase will always send transactions with the bigger fee required to get a confirmation in the next block, and which most of the time is exaggerated.

After checking your TX ID and the address linked to it, I see that the fee charged was probably 0.00115149 BTC or $13.59 as of now (511.773 sat/B). Next time tell your friend to transfer his Coinbase funds to GDAX (or just buy directly from there) and withdrawal. If you use GDAX, there is no fees to buy Bitcoin (so no $3 fee) and the miner fees are paid by them. You would have saved an extra $16 ($3 + $13).

Just search "save fees with GDAX" on Youtube.

Then, i send it from Electrum to my personal account.
After THAT fee, In the end, i get .00497707.
Again, miner fees. Electrum will suggest you a fee, but you can actually lower that value to one you are comfortable to pay.

So from transferring the coin from Coinbase to Electrum, and then Electrum to my personal account, i lost over 33% of my coin?
Sadly yes. Next time do what I said above and you will save a lot of money in fees. Also, I don't see why you did Coinbase -> Electrum -> Personal account instead of Coinbase (or GDAX to save even more fees) -> Personal. If you did the second option from Coinbase, you would have paid only 1 fee. If you did from GDAX, no fees at all. You would have received the whole $80.
13375  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum sent BTC to change address, but doesn't show it on Addresses Section on: January 18, 2018, 08:19:16 PM
This is the fee TrustedCoin charges you to act as a cosigner on your 2FA wallet.

Quote
How much does it cost?
TrustedCoin charges a small fee to co-sign transactions. The fee depends on how many prepaid transactions you buy. An extra output is added to your transaction every time you run out of prepaid transactions.

Costs depend on how many prepaid transactions you purchase at once (which is configurable by clicking on the TrustedCoin shield icon in the lower right of the Electrum interface).

Pay every 20 transactions:     0.0001 BTC/tx        0.002 BTC total
Pay every 100 transactions:   0.00005 BTC/tx        0.005 BTC total

13376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Tranfsfer old btc address to cold storage (btc & bch) on: January 18, 2018, 04:02:23 PM
1. Generate cold storage address downloaded from  bitaddress.org to offline computer.  Can I still use this site ? As far as I know same legacy address (beginning with 1)  still can be used on both sides ( BTC and BCH).
Yes.

I want to keep things simple use preferably use same address for BTC and BCH. Is there any disadvantage beside slightly less  fee by using segwit address on BTC side Huh  I somehow trust  bitaddress.org to generate truly random passwords because that site been around for  long time.
AFAIK no. You can keep using a legacy address.

2. Download and install electrum wallet (this Is wallet I am most familiar with) from https://electrum.org/#download
Good choice! Also verify the file signatures if you want maximum security[1].

4 Transfer BTC to new cold storage address ( What site I can use to properly estimate fee ?)
I like to use this one: https://coinb.in/#fees

Is that true that I can use really small fee because I transfer between my 2 accounts and in worst case scenario ( insufficient fee) transfer will be canceled and funds returned to  source adrress ?
Yes. If you are not in a hurry, you can use the fee you want and if there is no confirmation after a long time, you will be able to spend them again from your old wallet.

5. Download electron cash from  https://www.electroncash.org/ import PK I transfer fund to key generated in pkt 1 Some people claim that is much safer to first transfer BTC and after that BCH.
I would prefer to use a different address for each coin (if you are planning to use the same pk from your BTC wallet).

6. I believe after transfer I can still claim  all posible  btc and bch forks ( bitcoin gold etc.) in future ?
Only the ones that will happen in the future. Bitcoin Gold/Diamond already happened. So they were given to the address holding the coins when the fork happened.

13377  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo mobile wallet on: January 18, 2018, 03:04:26 AM
You can get better exchange rates if you buy directly from an exchange like Bitstamp, Kraken and Coinbase. If you don't care at all about getting the best price, using Xapo would obviously be the easiest way (since you already have an verified account). It all depends on what you are looking for.
13378  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Wallt.co - Create a simple, shareable page to list all of your wallet addresses on: January 17, 2018, 06:57:16 PM
After I login (and if I don't have any address), I get this error message at the top of the screen:

Code:
Notice: Undefined variable: result in /home/mediasit/public_html/wallt.co/includes/class/main.class.php on line 137

And this one at the bottom of the page:

Code:
Warning
: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
/home/mediasit/public_html/wallt.co/includes/templates/default/dashboard.php
on line
10

You should also add an "active" class to the navbar link which page you are.
13379  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Low fee transaction doesn't exist on: January 17, 2018, 03:02:24 AM
Ok I'm dumb. I swear I thought this was Mycelium (for some reason) Tongue

Anyways, the method should be almost the same. That's what you will need to do in this case:

1. Open your wallet;
2. Click at the top of the screen where it shows "name_of_the_wallet" and your balance;
3. Click "Show seed" and enter your PIN;
4. Write down the seed;
5. Now download Electrum[1] (for PC) and open it;
6. When creating a new wallet, select: Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed -> Write the 12 words the Electrum android app showed to you;
7. If everything went well, you will see the same addresses and balance (plus the missing coins) you see in the android wallet.

13380  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Low fee transaction doesn't exist on: January 16, 2018, 09:45:20 PM
Ok.. There is something I haven't seen until now. You are using Mycelium, right? Because you posted this in the "Electrum" board.

Try to do this:

1. Go to your Mycelium app and select your wallet;
2. Click the three dot menu at the top-right of the screen -> Backup;
3. Mycelium will probably start showing you words. Save them;
4. Now download Electrum[1] and open it;
5. When creating a new wallet, select: Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed -> Write the 12 words Mycelium gave to you;
6. Click Options ->Check "BIP39 Seed";
7. If everything went well, you will see the same addresses and balance (plus the missing coins) you see in Mycelium.
