1341  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Early order BFL ASIC mini SC for 1500 USD on: March 07, 2013, 10:49:03 PM
I'll sell you my first-day preorder for 10x that amount.

I would love to think they are that valuable!   Just from a mining standpoint I have a number in my head.

So figure difficulty when BFL delivers (the trolls will come out of the woodwork for that part!)...

Guessing 2x what it is now.
Two weeks of this: $1,000 = $2000
Two weeks of this: $800 = $1600
Two weeks of this: $600 = $1200
Two weeks of this: $400 - $800

Guess at 2 months revenue: $5600

These numbers for a regular single, a mini is half.

I Have a client that wil pay 2000 for one.

Figure out how much it will make a month at delivery.  That is where you start.
1343  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Early order BFL ASIC mini SC for 1500 USD on: March 07, 2013, 10:37:34 PM
I'll buy a first batch mini SC (aka this http://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/30gh-bitcoin-miner.html) for 1500 USD. The way I'd probably like to do it is that I'll pay 1500 USD paypal right away and you overnight ship me the unit when you get it. If you must do BTC, an escrow will be needed, but the same will take place

Try over $4000 and some people who really have them may be interested.

1344  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] up to 10 BTC with paypal at $35 each on: March 07, 2013, 03:34:05 AM
Mini-crash over.

I hope so, but just saw 38 again.

Mtgox trading engine lag: 292.11s
With all the money they make - should they not be able to do better than that?

Using CampBX, working fine.  No lag.

Maybe I can get some cheap coins.......
1348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 06, 2013, 11:39:33 PM
Nothing loads for me. How is anyone getting any data?

mtgox.com and bitcoincharts.com both work for me.

We are only 10% below a high and we are still below the day average.  It was lower at midnight.  What is the panic?
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 millions on: March 06, 2013, 10:12:12 PM
I think it is possible that at this point, already 2 or 3 million coins are "lost", because back in 2009 people toyed around with very large amounts and then just deleted their wallets as they never expected the value to skyrocket at a later time.

See http://statistics.ecdsa.org/, for example. I might be wrong though.

Possible.  I would say that (totally guessing) a minimum of 1 million coins are lost.
1350  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 81btc on: March 05, 2013, 11:06:29 PM
Should this be added to the pending scammer list?
No, it's been stated several times that coinabul will probably solve this in a nice way.  I've, personally, had a good order with them.

They are not a scam.
I've personally had an order that's comparable to a Butterfly Labs ASIC preorder.

Did you receive it?

So what is a first batch (may-june) BFL Single SC preorder worth?  He was asking $5k which seems high but not I would imagine more then $2.5k.

I won't sell mine for less than $5k...

Perhaps more giving the latest price jumps...

For me $4500 would tempt me to sell. If delivered in march it would mine $4500 pretty quickly but if delivered later it might take a while to get there.

Please!?

I am guilty of posting a ripple to btc exchange on currency exchange here as it was a currency exchange with btc but thinking about it more maybe it goes in alt currencies or not on bitcointalk at all.

Thoughts?

1355  Other / Off-topic / Re: Obscure OSes to try ? on: March 05, 2013, 04:35:31 AM
I like JoliOS

Its a semi cloud OS based on Linux

Most Linux distros are getting too bloated, but Joli has got the balance right between light and useful!

HTH

On that note:

Linux modern enough to use, small enough to put on a Pentium computer.

1356  Economy / Economics / Re: Right now it seems like everyone is hoarding... on: March 05, 2013, 04:20:11 AM
I think a lot more people are spending now than any other time before.  The different charts for "bitcoin days destroyed" generally support this theory.

People are spending.  I am spending more USD wise with BTC and more is being purchased at my store USD wise with BTC.

Now there is someone trying to sell a pre-order though it is labeled properly as such.
