1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: September 23, 2023, 02:49:08 AM
I guess that depends on the altcoins you are collecting, but in overall i think this is the right time. At least if your bags are part of the altcoinseason and rising with them.

As a personal note i have a similar feeling all around what i had in 2016. Most of people are in similiar disbelief of the future. It's just harder to spot because groups of people are way larger so you can easily be a part of a bubble of believers, and those groups are big. Groups of dissapointed non-believers are way larger though. I definitely feed altcoin season coming.
This skepticism is fostered when many suffer losses in a process where they are used to projects being pumped, but there is a repetition in the crypto environment and the game of newcomers early and late (FOMO).

I also agree that accumulation at this stage is feasible, as there is a lot of activity that is quite clear to shape an uptrend in the next stage, which I quite expect of a cycle. Price increases are likely to occur around Q2 2024. In the current context the doubts if removed by the recognition that we can accept losses of about 50% or more due to volatility and be completely confident that the new cycle will bring profits many times over.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the idea behind the creation of Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2023, 06:43:37 AM
-snip-
In short, idea is to create a new currency.

But this is really important here because as I feel and observe, these are things that everyone knows when starting out in this field, but success or failure is not really tied to this. Coming back to the nature of investing, and everyone hears about bitcoin and knows that it offers great opportunity.

1363  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 22, 2023, 03:34:05 AM
A saying that I heard about the views of some upper class people is "money cannot solve all problems, and as long as there is a lot of money, the problem will be solved."

Being important about material things in society is something that most of us are forced to do, thinking about being satisfied with our own abilities so as not to dream too far away and suffer the power of money.

Thinking is simpler than money, which is a tool to help us do everything in life, and it is achieved through effort (including luck but still requires effort to create luck). My personal story, by participating in this forum I learned how to be satisfied but then I also realized gratitude for everything that appears, and the same goes for money if I just try to run. If you follow to satisfy your needs, that satisfaction will never be achieved.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good fundamentals don't ensure a great investment. on: September 22, 2023, 03:21:34 AM
The question is when do you come into contact with it?

The projects that OP mentioned here are all names that have created a position in this market, raising the issue of investment, there are many problems that follow it to lead to a profitable investment and analyzing the basics purely and uncritically into the development plan of the market or project to avoid missing opportunities. For altcoins, the trend happens almost after bitcoin, so for new people they may not understand too much and need time to experience to see the price increase or decrease of whatever they are interested, the inflation story here really doesn't have much of a problem when we are discussing a crypto space that is still small compared to the economy, there is no need to complicate the issue whether short or long term.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could SocialFi be the new trend in crypto? on: September 21, 2023, 07:11:59 AM
The new concept is gradually popularized and many people are hyped about it, there are also a few names that are implementing development plans or in another view, building future trends. It's just a small niche in the next trend of the market, and the basic problem is still building infrastructure on the ecosystem and the products that operate on it will research what to do on their own. to fit that context. It may sound a bit crude, but I personally think SocialFi is not much different from the hyped memecoins, encouraging users to participate with certain promises, and this playground needs time to test.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How did Ripple (XRP) become so popular and blow up in price? on: September 21, 2023, 07:06:15 AM
You can absolutely visit XRP's official website to research what they do. I feel that at the previous stage, if it didn't get into trouble with the SEC, it would still reach a new ATH. In general, the way it creates its current position as well as its potential over time, if this market gets stronger, it will gain strength again, after all, it is one of the coins with many support issues support and oppose.
For me right now, it is no longer a priority for holding, although I still acknowledge its potential in the field. To own it, I will prioritize BTC and ETH rather than paying attention to it. XRP.
1367  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 21, 2023, 03:26:28 AM
Whether you use it or not, X will still work according to the plan they set out, eliminating some users who do not trust it. I think that is also the strategy that Elon Musk wants for this social network. In fact, what I've observed in the past few months is that X is very popular, perhaps partly due to the creator compensation program. Although there are quality issues with the content, I personally still like to use it a lot to follow updates from the market as well as some news that is not heavily censored on the platform.
Yeah you could be right but if 80% of there user base aren't paying and would choose a different platform that would probably offer the same thing but for free, I don't think that we will see X become a profitable platform for Musk. I don't have any ties or attachment to X or any creators that's famous in that platform so I am utterly pessimistic that putting a price on X would a good thing, they kind of like shooting themselves on the foot here although I'm not an expert in human behavior so I might be wrong and the need for clout exceeds the downside of using X.
We are misunderstanding the story about fees for using its platform, I don't understand too much about how it works in different regions but as my current understanding of it verifies accounts will have to be pay the fee, but otherwise at a basic level of use we can still use everything normally without any restrictions. The problem here is that there are many social networking platforms to choose from and you may like it or not, even though I'm not a regular user of social networks like me, I don't want to deny the influence that X having.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most transparent, reliable and promising cryptocurrency at the moment on: September 20, 2023, 06:21:00 AM
What do you think about this idea? Your opinion is important to us. Please share your thoughts and questions!
The amateurism of the project you mentioned in terms of concept, as well as the approach to the hype.

If you are serious, compare that project with shitcoins outside the Top 1000 and you will see the similarity in low quality, anyway, I hope that if possible, please seriously do more meaningful things.

It's a waste of time spreading nonsense.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 20, 2023, 04:04:10 AM

Bitcoin blowup: Domestic dispute turns crypto catastrophe with six-hour standoff in central Thailand
Quote
A heated dispute over Bitcoin investment loss led to a domestic violence incident that escalated into a six-hour standoff with the police. The 35 year old husband, Kritsada, shot his wife and barricaded himself in their home in Uthai district, Ayutthaya province, before eventually surrendering to the authorities.

I just found a news story and tried to find more content related to this story, and this is all I know about this story. It makes me imagine stories that I have encountered before in the investment environment, where losses occur and make people lose their original reason for earning money, which is also to bring home and build a better family life. I don't want to discuss the reasons for investment failure here, but from the story associated with bitcoin, it will also continue to happen, but in a different form.

Bitcoin is getting more and more popular, and it is labeled with many different stories. I can see many people blaming Bitcoin as the cause of all the problems, but clearly the main problem is people causing them related to Bitcoin.

1370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LAYER 2 projects to HOLD waiting for the next uptrend of the cryptocurrency. on: September 20, 2023, 03:18:40 AM
You say that matic has an advantage of being old. There are other old ones that never got similar adoption, and adoption from reddit is the biggest thing it could hope for. It has introduced so many new people to nft avatars, that i don't think we can even measure how beneficial it has been.
Well, an interesting comparison on this issue, but I'll express my opinion like this

- The nature of NFT is more about hype than the ability to apply it in practical activities, not only on Reddit but in the period when the crypto market was doing well before that NFT appeared in all different forms but I'm really stupid because The real meaning of whether it exists or not, the use of everything is still the same, people's FOMO following that hype trend is only short-term.

- And why at this point am I speculating about L2 being a necessity for the market, to me it's part of the infrastructure to solve the problems I mentioned, and Matic has been doing well with the position they have as well as the potential, it will also be part of the trending. But of course the story of speculation is not too reliable, right now many big names are talking about implementing this and there is absolutely a basis for speculation.

1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: May I ask, how can I securely store USDT? on: September 19, 2023, 02:30:24 AM
I'm a bit confused about the issue OP mentioned, USDT storage?

I haven't come across many situations where stablecoins have to be held for long periods of time, and even in the short term it appears to be only a transactional intermediary element in this environment, and for personal use that I'm aware of ( transaction amount of less than $1 million), storing it safely is not difficult, just like you would hold any other type of cryptocurrency. The various incidents in this market are not really new (hackers, CEX bankruptcy, etc.) but it is not a worrying error compared to the whole, imagine billions of hacks $ with a market worth trillions of dollars. So for me, even if I keep USDT on any network, I am quite assured, perhaps if an incident occurs, it is still a mistake from personal management.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Comparison between the Year vs Criteria of the Airdrops on: September 19, 2023, 02:20:48 AM
These days lot of users farming airdrops using multiple wallets. So the criteria will be difficult for this year.

2020 - Airdrops for all. No criteria
2021 - $10K-30K per account. It has some criteria. (Eg: DYDX, Paraswap, Uniswap, 1Inch)
2022 - less complicated criteria(Eg: Aptos, Optimism)
2023 - some complicated criteria(Eg: Arbitrum). But this is like 2021. (Starknet coming soon)
2024 - We will waiting for the very complicated criteria due to a lot of users. Otherwise, the allocation will be small. (Eg: Zksync, Layerzero)

To put it more simply, through airdrops we can see that people's interest in crypto is increasing, and that people know about the opportunities that can bring rewards, causing competition to increase. Overall assessment of previous and future airdrop programs, the amount of money that projects are willing to pay to supporters is really not much different, and it is up to users to avoid and try to perfect themselves. Skills are used to get priority from projects, and the criteria given are just to eliminate unqualified people or sybils.

I still have a stance on the airdrop environment, it does more harm than good, and the hype about it causes many people to blindly follow tasks that they think can meet their own criteria project's will.
1374  Economy / Economics / Re: Use of clean energy in bitcoin mining and its impact on: September 19, 2023, 02:12:52 AM
One of the biggest criticisms of bitcoin was its carbon emissions and its environmental impact. Elon and Tesla were at the forefront of this criticism. Despite this, Tesla held bitcoin but sold it to the market later on. This news will have a positive impact throughout the industry, and companies like Tesla are likely to come to the market again as, as Elon previously mentioned, Tesla will accept bitcoin when miners reach the 50% clean energy mark. This will be a major boost for the bitcoin industry.

Institutional investors are mostly concerned about the environmental impact of bitcoin mining. This opens a path for institutional investors to come onboard.
Environmental issues and the impact of bitcoin will always cause some misunderstandings. Looking back at all the criticism not only from Tesla or Elon Musk, we have also seen many similar debates. on one's own. Like raising cattle, it also produces tons of carbon emissions many times greater than modern industrial machinery, but do people really criticize it? I think everyone will figure it out for themselves get that story.

Regarding the fact that large organizations are interested in bitcoin in many different ways, the way they promote or limit it is similar to some people who want to manipulate prices to make profits in this market, even with Elon Musk whom I also quite like, but frankly his actions with bitcoin are just like someone who wants to redeem himself to gain profit through his own influence. So looking at the problem based on the information being spread, we don't really understand the nature and only like to judge, that is the way to direct the thinking of the crowd that influential people want to interfere with, and in the end it boils down to it is also only a small part compared to the development of bitcoin.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the current trend on altcoin right now? on: September 18, 2023, 09:14:35 AM
I’m browsing coinmarketcap to scout potential altcoins to ape on this dip. I’m not sure what’s the current trend since Move2Earn, Play2Earn and other DeFi is not that popular anymore. I really hate meme coin which I know that still hot today since this is a ponzi token that most crypto traders really like due to get quick rich nature.

Do you knew something new that has the potential to trend?
Depends on bitcoin, and we all see that bitcoin has not yet shown any clear upward trend. However, there are still a lot of things that have been built recently such as L2, web3, AI,... although the hype about it is always present, I think these fields really have great potential for development if as bitcoin enters a bullish phase.

In the current market context, I observe that there are a number of altcoins that are pump/dump in a short period of time, which is probably part of a new signal to escape the gloom in the current space.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not banned, yet not accepted on: September 18, 2023, 09:08:56 AM
Perhaps because I have not encountered specific cases of legal issues with countries declaring bans on the use of bitcoin, and as I understand it, it will not be possible to ban everyone's use of bitcoin. Like some cases that I know in Korea and Japan, they tax larger transactions than international ones, but it cannot be said that they prohibit their use.

And the ease of using and trading bitcoin makes things simple as long as people want to use it, the story is not prohibitive but there is also no easy acceptance, just like the limited intervention. It doesn't make much sense because over time they will still have to accept it gradually (that's what happened in recent years).
1377  Economy / Economics / Re: It's good that financial instutions Understood that they need to use crypto on: September 17, 2023, 01:26:09 AM
The question is which kind of Crypto would be of uttermost benefit both in terms of stabiliy, demand, future potential? The answer of if it is allowed in the region is also important because where a financial institution violates the countries code of financial practices, such an institution would face lawsuit and charges against it.
Actually, the market has developed a lot, the positivity and benefits it brings are probably the reasons for individuals or organizations to seek it out more. But the obvious story is that it is not so popular that everyone knows and accepts it, the issue of legal corridors in areas that are not yet uniform, is a barrier but also a point to hope for the future cohesion of the regions through crypto.

Also the need to dedicate some funds to maintain and upgrade security around the crypto investment will be of concern mostly with the recent cases of hackers tempering with assets on exchanges and anywhere they find crumbs of careless crypto left unattended to.
Yep, I agree because it is an important issue not only for the cryptocurrency sector, where we need to have a sufficiently secure. I think the main factor is still our initial awareness of it, and it is necessary to disseminate knowledge to newcomers, as well as surrounding developers also need to have assurance about our services. But there are really many attacks in the crypto field and the level of damage is huge. After each such bad event, learning lessons and correcting mistakes is what we will pay attention to.
1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You need to know your rank on Layer zero ? on: September 17, 2023, 01:07:36 AM
It's just for reference because in reality, if people are active regularly and don't have sybils, it's the basis for you to be in a position to receive rewards. Some tools appear to test the same perhaps just to increase the drama of those who are expecting an airdrop from the project soon.

I also think that the market will have a big project that will be airdropped to the community and it is likely that L0 will be a name that gets attention as it has been mentioned many times in the past.

1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Retrospective airdrop experiences on: September 16, 2023, 05:13:13 AM
Mine:

— Testnets are waste of time
— Zealy/Taskon/Galx and such platforms are waste of time
— Using platforms for sake of being interested can be rewarding while using them for sake of airdrop leads to burning
 out and disappointment
— Retrospective airdrop trend is too saturated, good amount of money is no longer found here
— Already announced airdrops are waste of time
— Projects/'X' influencers are milking the hype
— Minting NFTs to qualify is waste.

Share yours?

Yep, the truth that many people do not like to accept and waste time, money, health,... I would like to add that developers are wasting their time with users in this market. So What would be reasonable here?

Repeating everything the OP and what I mentioned, waste is wasting time, effort, and money on things we don't understand. The reverse story of the few projects that resonate in this space only brings happiness to a few, just think if we are willing to research those things in the hope of having a chance.

So if you don't want to waste money, go through those things first to see the mistakes later. If you're lucky, you can also receive some budget. And the work of finding opportunities in this market will really be promoted when they find its many traps. I quite like to say "the beginning of success will be failures".
