1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: invest into alt coins after every all time high? on: January 21, 2021, 04:13:44 PM
I invested into some alt coins after it hit 40k. I am somewhat at a lost. but yeh I sold btc for alt coins. sounds like a good idea?
so when another all time hits sell for alt coins. by that time i will have a bunch of alts lol. I have a lot now. but nothing serious. enough to be a coiner lol.
I think that gonna somehow work I think but it will depends on the alts you buy though. If you choose the better alts like ETH and the top listed coins in the market then there's no doubt that it will be all worth but if you made a mistake in choosing them like a newly created coin then you might have rethink it cause there's a higher chance you blow it. Better if you liquidate it though but anyway alts are a good option as well.
1362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Same scammers, different tricks on: January 21, 2021, 03:15:07 PM
Who still spend their time to check out such emails? I have tons of mails that I've never bother to check out because I wasn't expecting them, I only open mails that I'm expecting, this days we must be more careful than ever, scammers and hackers are growing in numbers
Yeah just like you, I've received a lot of emails a day but only a few of them I read, the rest of the mails that are not significant or kinda suspicious to me left unopened.  What OP received shouldn't be opened because if you know yourself that you haven't engaged in any activities and yet you received an email from them then there's a chance that it could be a scam, what makes it more obvious is that they even provided a suspicious link so better not to open and click it cause you don't know what's gonna happen.
1363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: January 21, 2021, 01:50:33 PM
First of all of course is avoid entering the market without having any prior knowledge about it. Try to control your emotions especially not being greedy because that would pretty much ruin everything and to be honest, that happens a lot when I was a newbie. Don't also expect for quick profit because there's no such thing like that. Avoid taking seriously others TA, as much as possible make your own cause you know what works you better. Avoid using all of your money, invest only the money you can afford to lose, don't panic about unnecessary circumstances cause that won't change anything just calm down and think wisely. Don't buy shitcoins as much as possible invest on top listed coins where volume is high.
1364  Economy / Speculation / Re: $80k within 6 weeks, new ATH October 2021 on: January 21, 2021, 01:09:46 PM
I don't see Bitcoin reaching such price with the current price this month and $80k is just too much IMO. But speculators are expecting a $100k or $200k, I don't know what they were thinking but that's just too much to be expected to happen this year. Maybe another halving again Bitcoin might achieve that price but for now, the highest Bitcoin is trying to break is a $43k which isn't happening yet.
With the current price we have now it would take a lot of time and yeah I also think that $80k is quite far honestly. The market may be still in a rally but I'm expecting that the price will only end at $50k but who knows market was still unpredictable after all and I don't think institutions are done getting their stash. We will definitely hit those prices but the real question is when. I also think that those speculations might happen on the next halving, I guess.

But in all seriousness, he does have a point, doesn't he?
I would say that everybody has their own opinion and we should respect it. He may have a point in some arguments but it doesn't necessarily mean this will all happen. Perhaps he and us the crypto enthusiast have no same vision that is why no matter how many times we explain our ideas he wouldn't get it if he don't want to. The best thing to do in this situation is that you should believe what you want to believe, if you believed that Bitcoin is the future then so be it don't let others sway you by negative ideas.
1366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Armed robbers steal $450K from Hong Kong crypto trader on: January 20, 2021, 04:04:17 PM
Well, that is very alarming. That is why I don't like P2P trade, especially if it's done by a physical transaction that would be much risk. P2P is great especially if you did it online like in Binance cause if some ditch you, you have a way to retrieve it by asking for support on the platform at least. I felt bad for the woman, I hope she can still retrieve it back though we know it will be tough. Both physical and virtual transactions can be risky and there's nothing we can do with that but be more careful, I guess.
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this scam go on? on: January 20, 2021, 03:30:21 PM
In just 11 years of cryptocurrencies existence we've seen a series of shitcoins coming up, making a choice on which coin to hold aside $BTC & $ETH $BET $DOT $ADA & LINK is becoming difficult, how best can I get to know more viable  projects like the ones I already have? When will the proliferation of shitcoins in crypto space stop? Who will check mate the proliferation of shitcoins?
Shitcoins will never be gone as long as there are people falling into their trap they will always continue but what you can do to avoid them is to don't pay attention to them just stick up to those top listed coins across the market as much as possible invest in Bitcoin but it's up to you. One thing to avoid them is to make your own research by that way you can reduce the odds of getting pick shitcoins. Honestly, there are a lot of good altcoins out there but you need to dig up for them in order to make gains out of it.
1368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think will be the top cryptocurrencies in 2021 on: January 20, 2021, 02:52:12 PM
What are your picks?
To be honest I am only looking at the top 2 coins which are Bitcoin and Ethereum specifically but I don't mind choosing coins besides them like DOT, ADA, BNB, and more as long as the majority of my holding is in a form of those 2 coins. I am pretty sure that the 2 top positions will still remain but for the rest of it, on the other hand, I got no idea because it keeps changing like what happened on ripple that is passed by DOT.
1369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic on: January 20, 2021, 02:23:19 PM
I’ve seen this twice before...  If you’re really thinking of selling, wait for a couple of days when it’s bouncing back.  It could bounce back to 36k - 38k and give you a chance to sell at a better price.  If it doesn’t...  We’re f*cked anyway.  Lawl.

That is the best thing to do I'd say. Rather than panicking what if you just calm down and wait for a bounce-back before selling, I don't think the bull market was over anyway, there are still a lot of institutions who are still entering the crypto market and invest. But if it goes down without any notice then there's nothing we can do about that, it is either takes the risk and sell before it goes down to the floor or keeps holding it till it makes its new ATH again(that would take a lot of time though).
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction price Bitcoin on: January 20, 2021, 01:03:43 PM
Today I was amazed at how low the commission was when transferring 0.07 bitcoins. Only 192 sat !!! The transfer took about 10-20 seconds. It's very, very cool. About $ 650 for $ 0.017 - this is something! Bitcoin is the future!
Well, that's great. But perhaps you are using a wallet and exchange that uses a lightning network that is why it has got low transactional fees yet even transfer faster. You should take this opportunity to process your transaction that could save you a lot of fees. Fees were not that high honestly, it might increase due to heavy traffics on transactions for a while but sooner or later this will go back at a cheap price again. Lightning networks are more likely the solutions for high fees and low speed that is why it is recommended to use when there's heavy traffic on the network.
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: January 19, 2021, 04:18:44 PM
Hahahaha I have been getting quite alot of engagement lately... and pretty sure I'm not the only one  it's crazy seeing dm's  from doctors, lawyers, engineers, astronauts & Olympians.  Parents wanted me to be any of the above and now they're in my dm's trying to learn about crypto and how I make 6 figures from holding/staking altcoins like $BET $LINK $ ADA. Hmmmmmmmmm life.
Yeah, I know what it feels like because there's a lot of friend of mine and family are asking what is Crypto specifically Bitcoin, how this work and how to earn it. Well it's all started when I just bought an expensive thing and they wonder where I got that money from and I tell about Bitcoin, you can see how amazed are they looking at their face and that's what's extraordinary and now they want to learn and engage with it. And now that Bitcoin is becoming a thing, sooner or later we will have a vast community across the world and that would be great, I think.
1372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using a trading bot? on: January 19, 2021, 03:48:55 PM
I stopped using trading bot because I'm still losing money and I think its better to trade on my own which I'm learning it right now on how to execute my trade properly. Some people succeed on their trading because of the BOT and maybe they used trading bot because they don't have much time to study the market and I think you should also used BOT if you think you don't have much time to monitor the price movement.
Yeah I also think that was the purpose of the BOT where it is recommended if you have no time to monitor your trade. Honestly, I haven't used one and I am only do trading by myself, it can be rough sometimes like I could felt lose any moment but still, I can manage it though compared on using a trading bot. I also heard that when you use trading BOT you are pretty much away from losing but I don't think it works that way because you can still definitely lose especially if you placed the wrong sort of strategies on it. The odds of winning will still depend on your TA, I guess.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this correction lead to a bear market for Bitcoin? on: January 19, 2021, 03:01:14 PM
I don't want to get overly dramatic about what's happened today, especially considering that the $32k level that we're at now was a new ATH just a week ago but when Bitcoin has dipped this much in previous years it has led to a prolonged bear market.

Do we think that this could happen now or should we just ride it out and expect a quick return to business as usual?
Having correction doesn't mean we are about to enter the bear market. Honestly, it can bounce back and I think that is what exactly happening right now. I also don't think institutions are done accumulating so perhaps there's a chance that the rally would last more longer. Furthermore, corrections are healthy for the market so don't fear them in fact you can turn it on your side like you could buy as well. The bear market will only enter if whales and institutions reach their target price to dump all of their holdings.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin price had not crashed in 2018 on: January 19, 2021, 02:15:59 PM
...
Well, just like you I also had schooling way back then. I even remember that I started to earn Bitcoin via faucets, guess what I made a decent amount. I have no money to invest with Bitcoin way back then but I think there are a few campaigns running before and I able to participate and earn. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hold them out for too long because I cannot able to managed my emotions and sold them eventually. If I only had known that it will grow this much. But I gotta move on and accept the fact that I made a mistake, it's never too late anyway, all you need to do is to grind more if you want to become a millionaire with crypto and as for example I have a friend who already made his 1st million. If he made it and so we will.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with nonsignificant altcoins on: January 17, 2021, 04:12:33 PM
I'm talking stuff like Monero, XLM, etc. With BTC so high, does it make more sense to trade them for BTC, or for USD?
Well if you think you are getting enough profit then go for it but if you are going to a heavy loss then you could probably hold it for the meantime. You could also just trade it for USD because BTC is really high right so buying it will do not make any sense. I mean if you don't need that money that much then just hold it, selling them will only bring pennies and that is not worth it so better to keep them in. Anyway, it still your choice though.
1376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how can i create bitcoin wallet and deposit on it on: January 17, 2021, 03:24:19 PM
Hey, My Country (Morocco) is blocking using bitcoin, so i need to use it to pay external services aren't supported in morocco like buying temporary Number, skrill,...

i made a wallet in bitcoinofficial.org but i don't trust them yet "i didn't found enough reviews about it", i want to create wallet on coinbase or blockchain but they required an ID to start using it. is it okay to add it there ?? since i should deposit using my credit card.
I honestly haven't heard that wallet and seems for everyone as well so you better stay away from it and don't use it to keep your stash. There are lots of reputable wallets that don't require KYC like Trust Wallet, Electrum and more so there's nothing to worry about your identity. Personally, I've been using Trust wallet and I haven't encountered any problem with and so for Electrum, you could try them out and see if it will work for you. You gotta be careful though coz it seems your government is not in favor of it.
1377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: January 17, 2021, 02:45:56 PM
Yup it may be possible but many of
want's to be millioner in a day.
Only less than 10% of the people really makes money by trading.

Every field has it's competition but in a greed, people join crypto to make their portfolio 10x.

But in most of cases they loss their hard earned money.
So,
Only we ourselves have to decide that,
where we want to be..
In 10% people or in 90% people
Well, I would say it is possible to make millions with trading only if you have enough knowledge, experience, and quite a decent amount of capital to use, I guess. However, I don't think you can do it in one day though. It seems they are onto quick profits, are they? Well, that is the common mistake of newbies because there's no such thing as quick profits in trading, you gotta build some patience on it and that is one of the primary reasons why they always lose.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is why btc will die as a crypto on: January 17, 2021, 02:10:52 PM
Here is why btc will die as a crypto

.7028 btc fee to send .2191 btc

Yeah, those fees are insanely high I dunno what's happening but you can minimize it by using another wallet or something specifically those wallet that've been using lightning network because it can transfer faster and cheaper compared to what you've been using. Besides, I don't think high fees will be the reason to kill Bitcoin because there are ways to minimize it. We might not have a solution for this now but as we going there will be a solution for these high fees.
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: January 17, 2021, 01:38:00 PM
What are you expectation for the price of Bitcoin for the rest of the year?

Now that this short dip to $30k is over, I expect the price to rally to $50k in February, perhaps have another dip at $50k, and then push to around $75k or $80k by sometime in April, probably with one or two more solid but short lived dips during that time.

I think we'll possibly see major resistance once the price starts getting within sight of $100k. So could see a consolidation for a couple months before pushing over $100k in late summer.

In the Fall I think we'll see a correction back under $100k, perhaps ending the year in the high five digits. Retail investors will think another prolonged bear market is coming so they'll preemptively get out from fear of a crash. Meanwhile institutions will just keep stacking sats. Going into next year, during next winter we'll see the price push back over $100k and continue grinding up to likely over $200k next year.
I wish that for that to happen because everyone wants to see Bitcoin reaching $100k sooner in this year and I am pretty sure we will, but not sure when though. Bitcoin and the whole crypto market was unpredictable after all. Besides, I don't think large institutions are done accumulating so I think the target $50k is soon to be ours. I'm having a thought that when we reach $50k there will some pull-off gonna happen, its a new milestone so there's a chance for people to liquidate I guess.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell my bitcoin from 2010 on: January 17, 2021, 10:01:14 AM
Hello
after 12 years i remember i bought bitcoin in 2010
is it possible to sell more than 50,000 bitcoins at once or is it better to sell direct to a private individual like grayscale or microstrategy?
Wow! that is a hella big amount right there and you bought it in 2010 you surely did earn a lot of profit, I can't imagine. Anyway, I don't think it is a good idea to sell it in one go because there will be a lot of problems like I don't know if an exchange will allow you to pull off that huge amount of money. If they allow, I am pretty sure that it will take a lot of processes. You could exchange it for P2P but that would be risky. Perhaps the best option is to sell it in a fragmented way. Just take it slowly, it won't going anywhere as long as you secured it.
