1381  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: November 17, 2022, 02:13:09 PM

Given the fact that crypto/Blockchain tech is just starting to blossom, it's likely CBDCs will co-exist with paper money for quite some time. We already have decentralized cryptocurrencies anyways (eg: Bitcoin), so why should we care about Fiat being digitized anytime soon? Just my opinion Smiley

Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency, but it is being viewed as an investment or a reserve asset like digital gold rather than a currency. CBDC is inevitable, although it will bring us convenience in use and management, but our freedom will completely disappear and I do not want that to happen.
With paper money, you can still avoid government control but with CBDC it will not be possible, just a small action against them will freeze your entire assets in an instant. It's horrible to think about, I don't expect paper money to completely disappear.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 17, 2022, 02:00:31 PM
Market conditions bad now. I think, Many investors losted Their money. I hope crypto Will pump very closer on 2023.
If this exchanges drama ends now, then it is possible that we will see recovery in the market. As DXY is dropping which is positive for crypto market

However, now is a good time to buy potential altcoins during the market decline
Sure! But stay away from sam's coins

You are absolutely right that we need to stay away from Sam's coins because  their recovery won't be so easy . The current bear market is an excellent opportunity to accumulate  Bitcoin and Ethereum  as both are fundamentally very strong coins. Though current bearish phase seems very severe & we have witnessed consecutive collapse of many big projects like LUNA & FTX but it will definitely end & we will see new ATH of Bitcoin & Ethereum in future.

Are you talking about projects that SBF and Alameda have invested in?  they have invested a lot in different projects, it can be said that the top projects on CMC all have their investment. But I agree with you that no matter what coin SBF has invested in, in the current situation stay away from all altcoins, focus on bitcoin and maybe ETH as 2nd choice. The bear market is not over yet and we are a long way from halving and it is impossible to know which coins will crash next, so stay away from all altcoins.
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy on: November 17, 2022, 01:43:18 PM
The majority of crypto collapse always comes from the centralisation part and of cos the human greed, what do you think is the proper solution for these? To avoid hurting crypto investors and how to guarantee that their funds is safe with any platform, either Staking, Lending or Trading.

What is the way forward? What solution do you think will be effective?

I believe regulation.  Since most of altcoins are centralized blockchain since dev have full control of the system, I think it won't hurt if government step in.  It is good to see projects that are asking for money to have permission and proper approval from the government.  This way greedy and wicked developer will be filter.

At the current condition, I believe not patronizing their project is the best and effective way to deal with these greedy dev.

It's a solution but it's not quite as beneficial as you think. Regulations will eliminate scam projects or scammers will be punished and investors will be protected but we will no longer be free, they will control us all the time and we will no longer be able to see the hype of the market. Once there is regulation, I believe the market will become more stable and harder to make profit. If you are looking for a regulated market then securities are what you are looking for, don't bring any regulation to crypto.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 16, 2022, 08:38:46 PM
Last season Sevilla was in the top 4, but now we see it is difficult to develop, even difficult to get out of the relegation zone.
Sevilla has a chance to stay in La Liga next season if they play an active role in the transfer market this winter. corrected the mistakes at the end of last season, and now they need to get a better squad to survive next season. if they can't afford it, they have to go down in caste.
What we see is a very drastic decline for Sevilla by touching the relegation zone while all the teams are avoiding it but because Sevilla's performance is bad, they have to be satisfied with their current position with 11 points the same as Cadiz. This is bad luck in my opinion for Sevilla.
Even in the Champions League, Sevilla cannot qualify and only enter the European league caste, although there is still hope if management can fix the problem that has made Sevilla shrink in its performance.
I'm still optimistic that Sevilla can survive in LaLiga because they might be able to improve even more.

The first target for them right now should be to get out of the relegation zone. I think there is hope for them because the difference is still not too big in terms of points. They should be able to get out of the relegation zone easily if they’re sure of at least some amount of consistency.

I think not losing against weaker opponents and being able to draw against bigger opponents as well. It’s going to be the mindset for them right now. But the problem is they’re not much weaker opponents, especially the way they are playing right now. As I said the main target is going to be to stay in La Liga.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Quitting only a break on: November 14, 2022, 10:08:56 PM
Gambling is a habit so difficult to stop

I agree, because of several factors gambling habit is really difficult to contain. It has something to do with the dopamine that is being produced during a gambling session that keep us wanting to gambling more.  The more we engage in gambling the more it is hard for us to stop.  And whenever we think we already quit and stopped, then comes the time we found ourselves gambling again.  So yeah @OP is correct when we thought we are quitting, what we mean is just taking a break.

You said about dopamine!!

My opinion is that age plays an influential role and makes a difference in this situation.

Whether you get excited or calm while gambling depends on your experience and age.

As long as you are a mature enough gambler, you will be able to control yourself in any situation in which you find yourself. In the event that you lose control, you will have to accept that you lack the necessary experience.

It is common for gamblers to set their limits based on their win-loss ratio when it comes to gambling. It is also relevant to note that gamblers often determine their level of gambling based on their income.

On the other hand, if you are addicted, it will be a different story.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can roullete be rigged? on: November 14, 2022, 09:56:53 PM
I talk on live roullete in physical casino can it be rigged?

It can be rigged, there are two given method stated in this article that can rig a roullete.

Ball tripping this is intentionally dislodging the ball from the track prematurely to make the ball settle on the desired spot [1]

The other one is by rigging the wheel mechanically by placing or using small blocking pin. [1]

There is no way that an offline casino does have completely rigged roulette games, but sometimes an experienced croupier can be able to bring the roulette game under his control.

If you spend all day working on something and dwell on one thing all day, you will get a better idea of how it is manipulated. As a result, experienced croupiers are able to throw the ball with about 99% accuracy during the course of the game.

Anyway, I talked about physical casinos. Due to the fact that online casinos have different algorithms, it is unlikely that they are rigged as long as there are enough players live on the board.
1387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hodl tight Bitcoin. We're going to the galaxy on: November 14, 2022, 10:04:07 AM
The accident happened again. Crypto.com mistakenly sent 320K Ethereum which is estimated to be +$400 Million. Like receiving a falling durian, the address that received the wrong delivery was Gateio.

The panic caused by FTX continues to proliferate.
Hodl tight Bitcoin. We're going to the galaxy.

If indeed it was an unexpected accident, then the one who took delivery of 320K Ethereum immediately became a rich man instantly. I can't imagine that that much money could be sent to the wrong address because it shows how careless the person is in sending something (Ethereum) to an address he doesn't know. Whereas before he sends it, he can still check the address to ensure the correctness of the address he will send Ethereum.

Obviously they were trying to create fake evidence for each other, there was no way that such a huge amount of money could be mistakenly transferred. Myself every time I transfer money, I even double check and it can take up to 3 to 4 minutes before I hit the send button let alone this is a huge amount of money.

Although nothing too serious has happened yet, we should still be very careful, do not leave money on crypto.com, gate at this time. Proof of reserve is a great idea, exchanges that are shady about storing user assets will be phased out soon.
1388  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: November 14, 2022, 09:49:31 AM
In my opinion, the role of the government is very important to provide education about cryptocurrencies, maybe it can be included in economic lessons so that there is no need for special fields, 6 months in my opinion is enough time to make students understand Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain.
maybe it doesn't matter if it's only included as an additional lesson in economics in the investment chapter. but regarding Blockchain and other tech-based things in crypto it might be suitable to be included in the information and communication sub-course. the point is at least there should be an introduction. But I think in the future this will indeed be done. because the curriculum in schools is always updated every year following the times.

I think blockchain knowledge should be integrated into IT and programming courses. As for crypto investment, it is also part of the financial sector just like the stock market or forex, these things we can learn in training centers or you can learn on your own online. They are not the kind of knowledge that everyone likes or needs, stock and forex trading has been around for a long time and they were never suggested in schools.
1389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earnings via crypto network, daily - 5$? on: November 14, 2022, 09:33:23 AM
Hello, is there a way for us who are immobile (disabled in legs) to earn 5-10$ a day, with some kind of bitcoin strategy without big investments. If anyone knows, write in the inbox. Thank you for your cooperation, and I wish everyone a lot of success!

Since you are a newbie in the market and do not have any knowledge about the market, I can say that there is no way to make money without knowledge. You should first take some time to learn the basics of the market and try some free earning like airdrop, bounty...they may not be profitable for you, but they can give you exposure and experience with the market.

After a bit of knowledge and experience, I think you'll know what to do next, all of people's recommendations like day trading, margin..all of these can make money but it's not for new and no knowledge.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you stake stablecoins now? OKx KYC Bonus on: November 13, 2022, 10:20:13 PM
I didn't acknowledge the existence of the FTX exchange before its bankruptcy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting the usage of OKx for staking; I'm mostly concerned that they're offering a significantly higher APY (10% instead of 2%), just by verifying your ID. Why does it make such a huge difference?

My main question is where you'd stake your stablecoins now. The only decentralized platform I have used and am comfortable using is Beefy, but I'm pretty sure there are others out there. I'd prefer if a user here could recommend one, not because I can't do my own research but because sometimes blogs and websites might be promoting a specific one on purpose.

Well, like you said OKx is offering unusually high APY compared to the market while binance is only 6%, maybe they are trying to promote to attract users. Whatever the reason behind it, it is not reliable to leave money in centralized exchanges nowadays, after the FTX crash, most of the investors massively withdrew their entire assets to their personal wallets. As a top priority right now, assets should be stored in a non-custodial wallet and not invested or left on any exchange.
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you avoid anything funded by Alameda Research / FTX ? on: November 13, 2022, 10:08:26 PM
Does Solana have any strong connection with FTx pls correct if you have a strong prove. I personally don't hold Solana but if I actually believed in it strongly as to buy it I won't just sell it off because of the recent FTX block buster movie.

I have checked Solana as a coin I Think it's ok apart from it trying to do to much like getting its own network which I think won't be a success . The coin has really been average. I think if it drops now it's just a good opportunity because it has the ability to also rise. Solana has been one coin on my radar.

FTX and alameda are said to be the VCs that invest the most in solana and they hold the majority of solana. The success of sol in 2021 is not only due to sol's team but also to SBF's strong support, with the collapse of FTX, it is likely that SBF will find a way to dump sol. 4 days ago, sol just unlocked 51 million sol for big investors, which also caused sol to be seriously dumped recently. It must be said that sol is the project that has been hit the hardest as their success is tied to SBF.

Sol's ICO price is only $0.2 compared to current price, ROI is still very high so VCs will still sell sol in the near future to take profit. Be careful, it's still not a good time to invest in Sol.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com in trouble? on: November 13, 2022, 09:47:50 PM
It has been a hour now since sent money from my bank to crypto.com and have still not received funds.

I have however been able to send most of crypto I had on crypto.com to my ledger so at least most of it is off their exchange now.

Not looking good, does make me less confident now  Undecided

Not only crypto.com is having rumors but even houbi and gate are having some false rumors after the FTX incident happened. I don't use crypto.com but I use houbi and depositing and withdrawing on houbi is fine. According to the developments that I read, crypto.com is having a non-transparent problem when transferring ETH to Gate.

Earlier on twitter CZ also warned any exchange that transfers funds before or after, after releasing proof of reserve, that the exchange is having problems. If you have funds left on any exchange then it is best to withdraw them all to your non-custodial wallet, bad things can happen at any time.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 13, 2022, 08:34:39 PM
Well personally, I think Modric is in very good shape, in Belgium we have Haazard and we all know how well he plays, and even more so when he is in his team, Candá I see it as a team that can be or look somewhat weak , but I am considering that Croatia has the potential to reach a final, these countries are incredible, but as the tournament goes on and they qualify they become very strong, and they have always had very good players, I think that Croatia will pass and it will easily reach the semifinals, as it has done on occasions that have made us dream, of course I see it that way, we still have to wait to see how the players are grouped and with what strategies they can go out to play, everything depends on it.
I think that Modrić showed this season that he is still Croatia's most important player. It's not only because of his play. His appearance on the field brings some sort of relief to his teammates. Maybe I'm biased but for me Croatia without Modrić and Croatia with him are two totally different teams.
It will be a tough game against Belgium but Croatia is known to play their best game against strong opponents. I'm worried that the first two matches for Croatia are against Morocco and Canada. It could happen that they "shit the bed" in one of those games and then they'll have to fight with Belgium for the next round.
I agree with you. Croatia usually plays best against the strongest national teams, but often fails against weaker teams.
In this year's League of Nations, they lost the first match at home to Austria, then they beat against France and Denmark away from home and finally won the first place in the group.
The last qualifiers for the European Championship also began with an unexpected defeat by Slovenia.
With that in mind, obviously you shouldn't worry too much about how Croatia will play against Belgium, but you should worry about how they will play against Morocco and Canada  Grin

I think that Croatia will be able to play better in the World Cup compared to what they have done in the UEFA nations league. And I really do not understand why people give so much importance to the UEFA nations league. Because even the players who are playing in the UEFA nations league, do not care about that tournament so much.

I think that Croatia will be able to play well against Belgium. But we also have to remember that the Belgium team also has some great individuals. So, it is not going to be easy for Croatia at all. Modric is going to have to plays really well in that match. And all the other players in the team will also have to perform above average.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: November 13, 2022, 08:20:44 PM
What a surprise we have seen today avai team managed to beat flamengo in an away game and whats crazy is that the odds for avai were extremly high x17 for them to win i don't expect anyone made a bet on them, this is their second win in a row but wha'ts sad is that even with this win they are relegated and they will be playing in the serie B next season.
I was also surprised by Avai victory against Flamengo (and they still won in a comeback)
Flamengo was practically with the main team, and they were also playing at home (Maracana). Even so, Avai was superior and won the game against Flamengo, but unfortunately it wasn't enough, because in any case next year they will play the B series of the Brasileirao.

This was actually a real surprise for me. I really thought that Flamengo was going to win this match. Avai did not have total control over that match, to be honest.

But they had some good coordination while attacking. And they also took their chance as well. Instead of trying to shoot at any chance that they’ve got, they actually tried to do better by keeping the ball in the final third of the field. I was really surprised to see that. In the end, I cannot say that they absolutely deserved to win this match. But I can honestly say that the way Flamengo played in that match I don’t think they deserved to win.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 13, 2022, 07:00:43 PM
I am sure that won't be a problem for Real Madrid to sign an outstanding offender, it is still Real Madrid and one of the most prestigious clubs out there and they also have the financial resources. They might still be looking at Mbappe and I would expect them to become active during the next summer transfer period.
Real Madrid's target for Mbappe is an open secret. And until now Real Madrid have not succeeded in persuading Mbappe to wear their jersey. This we know that PSG's big dream to get the UEFA Champions League title has not been successful, so they still keep the best players to stay at the PSG club. And we also know that PSG's pockets are also very big, they are able to sign players with high values, so PSG can also keep Mbappe with a contract offer that is much bigger than others. Had Mbappe been at clubs with thin pockets, of course Real Madrid would have found a deal easily.

The moment anything between Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé is brought up. right at that moment, PSG offers him an absolutely unbelievable amount of money which is quite impossible for any human being to reject.

The problem is even though Real Madrid does have a lot of things to show and offer for any young and potential player, and I am sure that Real Madrid has a lot more to offer to Killian Mbappé, it fades away when the money is shown from PSG. In PSG, he also has authority over the players. I wonder if he is willing to give that up just to go to Real Madrid.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 13, 2022, 06:47:34 PM
Atalanta vs Inter match between these two teams will start today. But which team will win between these two teams can't be said in advance. I think Inter will win this match. Atalanta will want to win this match which team will play well.  T will win. But I want to bet on this match with the support of Inter. I think Inter will win this match.
Atalanta's first half against Inter Milan was still a draw with a score of 1-1. The game of the two teams was very fierce, especially Atalanta playing at home they did not want to lose points from Inter. Both teams have the same 28 points and are fighting for 3rd place in the standings. I also support and bet on Inter, hope they can win this match.
The match was very tight shown by both teams, they did not want to lose to each other. Inter Milan is more in control of the match now but the opportunities obtained by both teams can still be said to be balanced. 10 minutes passed in the second half and the score was still as strong as 1-1. I think both teams will come back to create 1 goal each in the game. If one team loses concentration then that team will lose this game.

As far as I am concerned, Onana, the goalkeeper of Inter, was the real MVP of this match for Inter. He was able to stop some of the opponents' most dangerous shots. Otherwise, Inter could have conceded a lot of goals in this match if he hadn't been playing well. In spite of this, one thing that I have observed is that both teams have some big problems in terms of their defenses. Both teams were unable to effectively defend from set pieces from the start of the game. Eventually, it was a win for Inter. I must say that the victory for the team was well fought and it was a victory that they deserved. As a result, Inter is currently ranked fourth in the table.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 12, 2022, 10:59:29 PM
At this point Liverpool really need to strengthen their squad by recruiting fresh legs and young talented players who will fit into the style of play and help the team. Enzo Fernandez is a good player who can actually add experience and talent in the squad, and 35millon Euros isn't too much for a player of his calibre so in my opinion it is a fair deal for both teams of they can get the deal in the January transfer window.
Maybe Liverpool already has a target to buy players next season and maybe not only Enzo Fernandez but also many other players who have better skills, what is clear is Liverpool must buy players at a young age because at a young age they will have incredible strength and stamina. Meanwhile, if you buy players who are over the age of 30 then it will make Liverpool again experience the same problem and will lose money.
Most chances they will not do too much buying in coming transfer window because they already have good squad and their issue is few injuries and few players are not able to perform good which can settle with last few wins give them good confidence and now this break is surely going to be positive for them Mohammad Salah is also now back in good touch which is also good, but we can expect good changes after end of this season because they have few targets and these can achieve after end of this season which will be good for them because right now in this season they are poor and now most chances they could be not able to spotted in top three positions which is surely big setback for the team and fans.

Liverpool does have a pretty solid squad right now. The problem is that the players are not being able to play at the best potential that they have. Liverpool did spend quite a lot of money at the start of the season. I think even if they’re to spend, they are not intending to directly buy players. They might work out some trade deals. And even if they do spend some money, they are not going to raise much more than $30-35 million in my opinion.

Today there was a match between Liverpool and Southampton. I thought Liverpool played well in that match. I can’t say they played like they were going to win their next match and suddenly they are back in form. However, they did deliver a commendable performance. Darwin Núñez certainly seems back in form.

So, if things start to work out, I don’t think Liverpool is planning to look for other players to bring into the team. But I expect a few changes. Not much, just a few tweaks here and there.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX exchange is going to be bankrupted. What happens to FTX Token? on: November 12, 2022, 10:12:32 AM
Yeah, I'm one of those unfortunate guys who got 37k trapped in the FTX exchange.

Condolences when you are a victim of FTX again and it is not a small amount. FTT is the native token of FTX, once FTX goes bankrupt and ceases to exist, it means that no one will develop and use this FTT anymore, it will soon disappear on CMC.

Currently, FTX has only filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which means there are 3 months left to negotiate with investors and partners to find a solution. If an agreement is reached or funded, the possibility of them coming back to life is still there, but the possibility is very low. There have been some cases of companies resurrecting after filing for bankruptcy but it has only happened with media companies, crypto companies have not had any cases yet.
1399  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX has been hacked, delete the app, don't go to website on: November 12, 2022, 10:00:03 AM
"Hacker" was able to access source code and insert malicious code all unnoticed, then push an update to all users. I understand that's what these exchanges like to say for PR reasons while they escape with peoples' funds and evade authorities, but surely people have gotten wiser.

Anyways - Let this serve as a lesson for exchange users and traditional bank users. FTX began to collapse because they didn't have the billions in liquidity to deliver on their users' withdraw requests. They needed emergency funding that I believe they secured, of course that didn't matter in the end anyways, people lost confidence. Banking with fiat works the same - banks do not hold cash. If everyone, or enough people, lose confidence in the institution and flock to the banks to withdraw cash, the entire system collapses because they don't have enough cash on hand. All exchanges, banks, etc. work this way.

Centralized financial institutions do not responsibly hold your funds. Be your own bank.

I definitely won't believe this story, they've definitely gone bankrupt and can't liquidate their users, this is the perfect escape plan.

This is not the first time an exchange has crashed, we have had Mt.gox crashes before and the drop is said to be as severe as FTX but eventually people will quickly forget it and will still use centralized exchanges as their utility is essential.

The way a centralized exchange and a bank work is quite similar, but it's pretty lame when you compare how secure a bank is to a small exchange like FTX. Banks are backed by the government and banks bankrupt only when the government collapses but better be your own bank.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: November 12, 2022, 09:41:20 AM

fact: Bitcoin will never touch $1000 again (never even to $10k).

It is definitely impossible for the possibility of dropping to 1k even if something worse happens, but with 10k we cannot say that this will never happen. In just 3 days, the FTX crash caused bitcoin to go from $21,000 to $15.7k and FTX's drama will not stop, once FTX goes bankrupt, there will be many consequences later. Don't think it's over, I predict that the market will crash again and the bottom could be 10k-12k.
