I'm still getting some PM's about getting my optimized miner. For the moment, I advise people not to unless you really want to mine hard for the next few hours. Given jh00's experience optimizing the xpm miner, and given the chat on ypool, people should assume that until proven otherwise, the ypool miner will blow everything else out of the water for a while. Wait until it's released and we have a comparison before wasting donations on mine.
I hope that sources or linux binary will be released, otherwise it can be an insane to run wine Problem is that jh00s miner wont be able to solomine yes, but if many people join the ypool, it will be no sense for solomining with several machines. So linux binary is really needed for AWS\DO instances.

lol, read another FLP thread - a lot of butthurt from both sides I understand both of them, situation is really atypical It is actually quite simple. We announced the projects ahead of time (I know it was a mistake now) - wanted to be fair with community. They decided to use our name and release a half-baked 100% DogeCoin clone before us... They even tried to steal our identity. They changed most of this stuff now, but their readme on github still refers to our www.flappycoin.org website! Personally I find this really devastating and discouraging. But don't worry - the release will happen soon, we are working now as hard as we can to get the coin out. This is just some kind of 'wild competition', nothing more.

Why does the thread title say in caps lock NO PREMINE, yet you say it is 1% premined just a little while later??
Also windows wallet is not connecting for me, i created a flappycoin folder in appdata/roaming, created a .conf and placed it there, also turned firewall off and still not connecting?
it is another FlappyCoin premined, which is still in development

wtf?, now we are launching the same coin twice lol, read another FLP thread - a lot of butthurt from both sides I understand both of them, situation is really atypical

You loved Litecoin (or Tenebrix if your cool and old schhol) soooo much you thought you'd honor the dev team by stealing their code from GitHub and cloning it ? daaaaaaamn i wish i thought of that !
Maybe honor the devs with a donation of your flash mine ponzi profits ?
Hehe, Spoetnik came to scrypt threads

i don't understand why you use the port:9337 and not the port:28332?
its verry simple port 28332 is testnet so you mine for noting! [ see frontpage and website riecoin is a testnet port ! ] really? from default config: ' rpcport=28332 port=28333 ' edited: now I see that... hmm, really strange - as I remember, I mined some blocks with 28332 edited2: 28333 gives json error for me

pool we need
wait for 12 hours, ypool's launch of RIC at 20:00 gmt
|
|
|
run: listtransactions '*'
It will show you any orphaned blocks.
what does '*' mean here? afaik 'riecoind listtransactions' shows everything we need

Hey MaxSoInc, any update on the lite wallet?
hey, I'm not SoInc, but MaxSolnc but you made me laugh frankly speaking, I don't know anything about lite wallet. Oocook5u still didn't answer any of my PMs. I hope he'll come with some great features - you see, he doesn't speak much, but he does many great things when he comes. So... let's wait. I own datacoin.info and I promise that it won't go down like datacointalk.

Hi people!
I'm offering support for people who want to set up pools (since I don't have the servers or time to operate a pool myself), but please have some specific questions, not like "how do I set up a pool?" jh00 from ypool told me he is working on adding support for riecoin. He's making good progress, and looking at the work he did with primecoin he probably won't need my help.
I understand that the lack of pools undermined the fairness of the launch, but that will be corrected.
thank you all
gatra
well for instance you could optimize your CPU miner rminerd more becouse there are some errors in thats wy people cant find coins, for day's now do you mean errors in scanhash_riecoin function? (now trying to work with that, the situation around the coin really looks like there are errors, not just performance problems)

Selling 7000 RIC PM with offers
omg man, could you please tell us what hardware did you use to mine it? 100.000 cores? 7000 RIC = 140 blocks (50 ric worth), or maybe 300-500 blocks if to count in small reward. WAIT... OH SHI~ probably mined with diff 0.00025 diff is everything btw, what is the diff now? Thats what most people are complaining about - there was no 0.x diff with the associated instamine. Starting diff was 304, current diff is 785. It was around 600 when the first blocks with coins started getting mined. exactly - personally I like this point during the launch, but it's interesting to me what h\w is needed to get this number of RIC

i didn't think there could be a bigger fail than the MAXCoin Launch...
but...
people mining with 500+ cores and not getting any coins.. no pools.... one website.... no exchanges.... nobody of any consequence promoting the coin...
EPIC FAIL.
i wouldn't buy your coins with a 1 dollar bill that I had used to wipe my ass with....
Those people are doing it wrong. Mining with a i5 and a i7, total of 12 threads, got two blocks, about 60 RIC confirmed now.. one block somewhere last night (1AM GMT) and one block 9:26 this morning. If you're not getting blocks with 500 cores you're clearly doing something wrong.. (PM me your offers!) I really cannot understand what's wrong with our mining. I've got ~100 RIC (mining from the beginning) with 320 cores, and as I see, it's not the worst case - seems rather good comparing to others. Just no idea what's wrong.
