141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 08, 2022, 02:26:13 PM
For exposure this good but surely those athletes that will received it will cashout it immediately to fiat as they are not familiar or they are more focus rather than investment. Although the amount is just minimal they should atleast implement a lock in period for the bonus so that will have time to think on what to do or DYOR in Bitcoin.

Maybe not, they would think why these sponsors gave Bitcoin for their bonuses, a curiosity will be born in their minds and the might be interested with them. It is just the bonus they say, and not the full payment for their job. I guess they could spare it and not cash it out, see for themselves where it would take them. This is an opportunity for them, nobody knows when these fighters will retire, and I bet they would be even thanking crypto.com later.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Charity Work on: April 08, 2022, 12:05:01 PM
Good initiative, you are like NGO by yourself. I could suggest you to print pamphlets for them to easily understand the basics of Bitcoin. Maybe you could device a lesson plan for them with diagrams or visuals. I have been to remote areas, I've seen how they are, left behind in terms of education. Highschool in the remote areas are like Grade school in an urbanize one. So technically you will be having a hard time teaching them, especially where electricity is limited. Another tip is for them to be encouraged to learn is give them free snacks if you could afford it, because that way some of them won't get bored and aside from knowledge they would get free food.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: April 07, 2022, 09:36:42 PM
How do people even enjoy staking their coins and tokens? I'm confused, yesterday I tried to stake some amount of stable coin aka USDT on Binance Exchange and it is worth 1000$ but the return on this in a year is 95$ lol, I laughed so hard that I almost flipped my laptop, why the heck people doing this?.

There are different types and options that Binance offers, why did you to a annual staking? You be staking 100k USD if you wanna have more for you to feel it. I stake on Defi 60 days and it gives me good results. With that 1000 USD I would definitely go for a Defi one, with a lock in of 3 months. The choice is yours and Binance won't even bother to hear your thoughts on that, because they've got bigger players than you have imagined.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone forgot April 5th...? on: April 07, 2022, 08:38:45 PM
Although since he's got a private life, it's hard for me to believe he'll give he's real age, but anyways.
Beautiful Birthday Wishes Satoshi (Legend)
May the rest of your life be the best of your life.
For the Creation of Bitcoin!
Arigatō.

The date 5th April according to the Related post show's two great happenings on the same date.
On 5th April 1993 US President Franklin D Roosevelt signed two executive orders to;
6101 to Establish the Civilian Conservation Corps,
6102 Forbidding the Hoarding of Gold Coin, Gold Bullion and Gold Certificate's.

Another vitals about that year 1975 was the legalization of Gold Ownership in the United States for mere Mortals.

Who knows right? Maybe he is around 60 or 70, most of the scientific researchers who have so many contributions are like old people and had white weird hair. Another possibility is that he is honest on giving information about himself, simplicity makes it better. Or the legend is true about being Satoshi Nakamoto a group of people who is behind Bitcoin's birth. There are so many questions to be answered and only the true Satoshi can give us those, so we wait for him or her or them, if he is still alive of course.
145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you want to be an admin of an online casino? on: April 07, 2022, 06:07:41 PM
You will be having a hard time getting investors, I thought at first that you were looking for workers but I was wrong. Good luck on finding people to support you because your site is poorly made. Hats off to what you have achieved until now, creating an online casino needs people, partners and funds in the first place and you should have gone to meet them personally. Unless there will be a person who will believe in your cause and somehow gave you funds to acquire everything you need to make your plans running.
146  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you like to become a co-owner of a world bank? on: April 07, 2022, 02:47:05 PM
This is Satoshi Nakamoto's dream. He wanted to give each person their own bank in hand.
He wanted to save people from the problems of trusting third parties. And most certainly, he did not want your assets to be seized by the decision of state authorities or that you would have tax liabilities in case the price of the asset increased. The assets were seized by the decision of government authorities or so that you have tax liabilities in the event that the price of the asset increases.
Imagine a Bank that has no management and administration. All these functions are performed by the smart contract program. Anyone who wants to connect to the bank becomes its co-owner. You can place your financial assets as authorized capital in the form of a deposit on your bank account. The bank guarantees the preservation of financial assets by issuing you an equivalent value (smart contract tokens). The bank accumulates financial assets of all co-owners and accrues income for the placement of funds. You can earn by helping others to become co-owners of this bank by providing an opportunity to connect to the bank. You can always get your asset back at any time by returning its guarantees (smart contract tokens) to the bank.
The peculiarity of bank guarantees is that they cannot be depreciated under any circumstances. The smart contract program provides for an increase in the value of tokens depending on the amount (authorized capital) of the bank's deposit. The higher the deposit, the higher the cost of the token.
http://prosh.ru/smartcontract.html
Something here is not quite clear to me? If I am a co-owner, then I can manage not only my own assets, but also the assets of the bank itself, and thus influence the financial policy of the bank, right?

OP is right, in a world where bank exist, you don't fully own your money. A good example is that some of the Russians, their accounts are freeze in the worst case, seized. Now if you have a private key, and your money is on BTC, truly you are the one who manages it,  because no banks would ever be able to freeze and seize it, the decision is only to you yourself.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Manga Token on: April 06, 2022, 11:04:57 PM
https://www.mangatoken.org

I have a question for all the experienced crypto people here...
I was doing some niche research and came across MangaToken. They actually have no competition and a really good product.
And there's a lot of money in the manga industry...
Why is the market cap so low?

Piracy is rampant and you can freely get latest Manga releases on the web, so in order for that Mangatoken to succeed, they must consider the origin Manga and that is Japan. They are supporting their own product industry so may it should be they are the one to initiate the project if not it will fail for I guess. If somehow they have managed to do it and it is a success, then they should be thinking ahead for an AnimeToken too.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia To Impose 0.1% Crypto Tax Starting In May on: April 06, 2022, 10:30:04 PM
Indonesia plans to charge value-added tax (VAT) on crypto asset transactions and an income tax on capital gains from such investments at 0.1% each.

Indonesia plans to charge value-added tax (VAT) on crypto asset transactions and an income tax on capital gains from such investments at 0.1% each, starting from May 1, a tax official said on Friday, amid a boom in digital asset trading.

Interest in digital assets has surged in Southeast Asia's largest economy during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the number of crypto asset holders jumping to 11 million by the end of 2021.

Last year's total crypto asset transactions in commodity futures markets reached 859.4 trillion rupiah ($59.8 billion), up more than 10 times from 2020's transaction value, data from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency showed.

Indonesians are allowed to trade crypto assets as a commodity but not to use them as a means of payment.

"Crypto assets will be subject to VAT because they are a commodity as defined by the trade ministry. They are not a currency," the official, Hestu Yoga Saksama, told a media briefing. "So we will impose income tax and VAT."

At least it is better than not being able to trade at all. Also better than what Indian Government are trying to tax their people of 30 percent. Aside from that, is there a punishment when they used it as a payment? How would they know if it was just for trading or a commodity only and not by means of payment of services? Maybe their exchanged are centralized and regulated but 59.9 billion dollars is a lot to track.
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: An Unforgettable Day In my Crypto world on: April 06, 2022, 08:39:01 PM
We've got our own dark days in the crypto too, but we managed to overcome these problems and rose up again with experiences in the field. It is okay to make mistakes as long as you learned from them. At the very least you are still here and are continuing on, there will be a time that you will surely be thankful that you did not gave up on this. Bitcoin also save my ass, if I wasn't introduced to it by some close friend, I would've been in a position where food is hard to put on a table. You'll just have to bear with it, trust me it is worth it, the people here remained for the same reason, and I am telling you there are worst than what we had experienced yet they still managed to fight back, and stronger this time around.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: New Financial Year Begins | Are you ready? on: April 06, 2022, 03:15:39 PM
Happy New Financial Year Guys!

There are different dates which commense the start of new years, for example, 1st Jan is most common calender based 365 year which resets on that and like dollar everyone follows it. However based on traditions, culture, lunar calender etc, there are many years. For example, Lunar, Chinese, Mayan etc.

However, talking about the exclusive year, we are here today on 1st of April, begins the race for new Financial Year.

How do you see this date?
Are there any particular changes you make so that you can have more incomes, less taxes, new real estate purchases and anything thats related to financial goal!

In my case I already have these:
1) Pencil and Chalk art selling (Always open for commisioned work: Pencil Carving Artwork | Personalised Gift | Custom Iconic Art | BTC Accepted )
2) Crypto currency mining. (I have two mining rigs at the moment [GUIDE - Personal Experience] How to get started with Mining )
3) Biotechnologist (Regular job)

My new Financial Goals include:

I am working on setting up my own business related to R&D. Since I have been working in the pharmaceuticals since few years now, its time to pull the rug for myself. I have already set up online selling account for the products that are required in the research supply chain.

This year is crucial and I am willing to set up my own Research Laboratory.

So my first goal is:
1) To collect as much capital as I could.
2) Keep low to null dependency on the loans.
3) Keep debts out of the chart!
4) More product selling, artwork selling.
5) Increasing Mining Capacity for increase capital gain.

Do you make such plannings?

Note: Its very important part of your life to practice financial management. Always check with your CA's or yourself whether you are keeping the healthy credit line. Having your CIBIL score above average is masterpiece if you wanna survive smoothly!
Kids - Start saving, less expenses more savings thats the goal.
Only spend what you dont need, only spend when you need. But off course enjoy the life with what you earn.  Smiley

I don't know how to do it (charts), schedules and others that includes listing of different things. I am somehow easily getting dizzy just looking at those. Good thing my wife is on a different level, she manage almost everything from customer service to face to face transactions. We have so many things to do, and that includes expanding our business even more. The only debt we have as of now is our car loan, since we really need it, for logistics and personal use, despite the hike of oil prices, we barely manage to fulfill or task.

Great things are happening on us, we don't believe on new financial years event or some that Chinese and other races beliefs. We only set goals, and that is to be rich with our own hard works, and dedication off course. We don't buy things we don't need, even our clothes are old and we don't even care, just as long as it clean and presentable. Also another is if you want to have more time for your agendas, start waking up early and that would really help you especially when you don't have enough manpower. We got only 2 hired personnel and sometimes it isn't just enough including the both of us, so managing time wisely is also a key to success.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 06, 2022, 11:28:48 AM
I know there's a dedicated thread which is the 2022 NBA Season, but this thread's purpose is very specific. The purpose is for me to gain opinion from the posters on which team I should bet that the majority of you here think would win the NBA Finals. Knowing there are experts here, I'm confident I would get the best advice on which I should risk my money to gain value at the current odds.

I'm using sportsbet as the reference of the betting odds.

Here is the list of betting odds.

1- Suns > 3.80
2- Bucks >6.50
3- Nets >7.00
4- Warriors >8.50
5- Celtics >10.00
6. 76ers >10.50
7. Heat >11.00
8. Memphis >17.00

Everyone is welcome to give their opinion. So please post away.

The answer is obvious for me, I am a fan of Steph Curry and that goes for the Warriors, and even they will lose the game, I will still be and will have a respect the team. They got a nice position in terms of odds, so I would love to put a bet on them in the upcoming season of NBA.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: April 05, 2022, 11:56:38 PM
I am more of the opinion that precious gem re-sell value is worse than anything including diamonds. So I dont like buying it for future selling but rather only as a gift even then a very small one if I do. Now I understand the sentiment behind the "matrimony" and all, but honestly I would rather gift Gold over Gems.

In this context, let me remind you all that few more sectors have had massive sales which include the birth control methods - people are at home having nothing to do, sets eyes on their wife and boom Grin

You cant deny the fact that a lot of baby showers are happening in the next few months in several countries of the world. Added to it the low-cost wedding ceremonies due to the pandemic are an impetus to the lower economic strata to get married.  Wink

We've done it(selling her gold rings etc) once and the feelings at that moment hurts. We couldn't do anything, it was the time when my wife gave birth and we need to pay the bills. The look on my wife's eyes got through me. The moment I've got up and earned decent amounts of money I bought my wife a nice golden ring, but without gems on it. I am working really hard again to afford a new ring with one one on it. Really sucks when hard times hit you and you go for your valuable things. Just gotta be ready when calamities hits us, but if your wife loves you, it doesn't matter what she wears, the important thing is you care for each other, better or worst the situation is.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you preparing for bear market on: April 05, 2022, 11:19:00 PM
Crypto can't survive without a bear market, if not everything will remain at one spot and no reason to invest anymore what is the best strategy to prepare for a bear market and at the same time keep making a profit from the present market condition.

You just have yo wait, if you are truly a holder and risk taker you won't sell
at the dip. You should be even buying more of what you currently have. It is only the few that survives, and the ones who quit will be having regrets. The sole proofs of that are the pioneer investors in this field. A dollar 13 years ago that they've invested are millions worth of today.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: WTF? Food prices expected to raise up to 50% in German supermarket. on: April 05, 2022, 09:31:58 PM
It is to be expected, but I saw some other news that it was around 20 percent maximum around Europe. Never expected to be 50 percent, this is an alarming rate. The poor can't afford to eat 3 times a day anymore. What could be imposed to avoid this kind of dilemma? It is sad knowing that this could happen any part in the world including where my family lives in. It is very hard right now that we makes ends meet, our family rely on us. The world is getting harder every day to live in, these wars are the primary suspect and should be ended soon before people start dying of hunger.
155  Economy / Gambling / Re: Video Course of BlackJack for people who want to learn BlackJack on: April 05, 2022, 07:14:02 PM
If we want to play BlackJack like a boss the right way is by using a Cheat Sheet, if we google them there are a lot of them that tell us how to play each hand. I will leave one of them here as an example.

We only need to know how many decks are we playing with, and with that, we can search for the right cheat sheet.

I am getting dizzy just to look games with so much numbers, maybe this is a right course of action for blackjack. This is a very big help to players like me that knows nothing abou this game. All of the games I've played was just simple and easy and nothing like these. Maybe it's time fornme to leap into something new.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you, or would you ever use a Bitcoin ATM? on: April 05, 2022, 01:35:38 PM
I've seen them pop up all around me, in small convenience stores and even restaurants. I was wondering if it's a good option to buy a gift for someone else, or are the fees too high and it's not worth it? Also I'm not sure how it works but figuring they give you a private key, and how safe is that?

I want to use it really bad, maybe just for experience and the curiosity I have. Sad truth is my place is so behind the tech, so it is unavailable in here. I really try using one, imagining it gives me excitement. My city sucks and maybe only few folks knows about crypto currencies, around less than 2k people, so I should move to another city where it's popularity is on.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 19 millionth bitcoin will be mined in the next 24 hours. on: April 05, 2022, 02:46:40 AM
Very, very cool & yes we will all be long gone when the last portion of a bitcoin is mined. Such a genius creation, we are all very lucky to be here what should still be considered early.

I wonder what the next generations of Bitcoin holders would call us, or how would they see us in their time and perspective. The early adopters and their mentors. I think if my kids gets older and I am still alive I would teach them about BTC. 100 years is whole different generations and I think we are so lucky that this opportunity had come to us.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we just going around in circles? on: April 04, 2022, 11:28:38 PM
ICO never came back, IEO is not trending anymore do you think that metaverse won't vanish in near future? It's like every trending crypto hype will fade away sooner or later and new thing will come around again, are we just going around in circles?.

May be not since they have different agendas, although they are the same in terms of bringing more money into crypto. Also there are project that stays, eth, ada, sol, etc have stayed, once they were new projects back then but now they are not but still alive. So we are not running on circles, we are just adding up.and this is good to the market as money keeps coming in.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 04, 2022, 10:07:55 PM

why is cryptocurrency bitcoin created.
Bitcoin was created for individuals to freely make Financial transaction at any time around the world without relying on banks or governments. But the main point by which cryptocurrency was created is to fix the issues of traditional currencies so that currency holders will have the responsibility and power in there hands.

That brings me to my question "imagine a future without cryptocurrency Bitcoin and a world without digital payments".

Not what I am seeing it. It is now used as a hedgefund for others, an investment and the main purpose is somehow forgotten. It was just a technology meant to transfer funds p2p without banks in the middle.

A world without Bitcoin is still will be the world we live in. There are great things that Blockchain did in a lot of fields, but the world being dependent on it is not one.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have 5, 12 or even more coins? on: April 03, 2022, 10:49:09 PM
It is great to have more coins than less. As they say put your eggs in on different baskets. I do have less than 10 coins, because this is the only amount of coins I can afford as of now, Bitcoin and eth are the majority holdings and others are just few hundreds. Got my hands full at the moment, and maybe if I have given another opportunity to buy, thinking of adding another sets of coins. As long as I can eat well, the savings are going to crypto investments.
