141  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ★★★★ PrivCoin.io - First ever multi crypto mixer (Bitcoin Inc) ★★★★ on: October 08, 2017, 02:07:21 AM
Once again, thanks for the response. Right now, if i invest 1 BTC, how much bitcoin on average would i get per day(with all the fees taken away)? Of course, past performance isn't going to be a very accurate prediction for the future but just wanted to know.

And i obviously wouldn't expect anything as high as 1% per day compounded, that's just crazy and if anyone promises that, they are a ponzi for sure.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: October 08, 2017, 01:56:09 AM
Hey folks,

what do you think, which tokens are a great investment for 5-10 years?

All people tend to speculate on short-term moves but I am more interested in tokens that will go up x times over the next couple of years...

so to say, the Amazons and Googles of the crypto world.

Which coins are REALLY GROUNDBREAKING in your eyes and why?

I mean Bitcoin started the whole thing but technically there are so much better, safer, faster, more anonymous coins that should take over in the long run.

Please share your opinions

Investing in alts long term is probably not a good idea. But if you are, then you want to have one that has a target market that is big and diverse, not just one particular niche that only a handful of people are interested in.

Bitcoin has the best chance of profit and success in the long term still, imo.

It doesn't really matter who's got superior technology. What matters is community, usability, and cost.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Am I Being Scammed? on: October 08, 2017, 01:53:01 AM
The money orders range in date from Aug. 1st to Sept. 23rd and are from Western Union, Money Gram, and Memo Financial Services.

Does anyone else find it odd that a person would hold on to $11,000 worth of somewhat old money orders?

It is odd and perhaps these money orders were stolen or obtained illegitimately.

If you're not 100% confident with the trade then don't go along and finalize it, simply opt out or tell him to instead pay you all by cash. Since you still have the goods on hand, there should not be an issue with this.
144  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Webmoney limit question [HELP!!!] on: October 08, 2017, 12:53:16 AM
Hello, everyone.
I do not know what to do now because my partners want to transfer me about $16,500 of dollars in WMZ to my purse and I am kind of new to Webmoney, just registered few days ago. I uploaded my passport and PhotoID with a utility bill. But do not know if this is enough. Also, I would like to get a Mastercard to be able to withdraw my funds. Do not know what steps should I proceed in order to avoid my funds to be frozen or any other issues. The Help center is awful there I did not get any support so far.

Thank you in advance.

There are daily limits and monthly limits of how much you can transfer as well as a limit of how much you can actually store on your account. And it changes deending on your situation. There's initial passport, alias passport, formal passport etc. that you need to figure out.

$16k is a big amount and will likely trigger one of the limits. You need to talk to the support crew, just wait for their response.
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 by 2018 is looking now like a possibility on: October 08, 2017, 12:26:26 AM
More and more and more actors from the NYC agreement are dropping like flies. Now we have BTCC out of the agreement. Along with f2pool, this is a big chunk of hashrate that segwit2x lost. Bitfury will also potentially not be mining segwit2x. This would be the nail in the coffin, not even considering Bitcoin Core 0.15 is comming out soon which everyone will upgrade to.

With segwit2x out of the picture, we can hit $10,000 easily during 2018, so hold on to your coins and stop falling for the government ban nonsense.

Regardless of the outcome of Segwit2x we have a pretty good shot at achieving $10,000 per coin next year. The pumps seem to keep coming and are probably going to continue to be this way until next year, at least.

The government bans don't really affect bitcoin at all. It'll affect altcoins mainly, since it is based on ICOs.
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price is increasing AGAIN on: October 08, 2017, 12:24:26 AM
About time. With the same chance it can go down unfortunately.

Definitely always a chance that price will suddenly go down from some point, but i don't think that we have approached that point in time where people are going to all of a sudden start panic dumping their bitcoins and cause a market wide disruption.

Right now we're seeing a lot of price movement, just up and down with no general direction. After a while there should be a pump that takes price up to $4500+ and establish a floor from there.
147  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ★★★★ PrivCoin.io - First ever multi crypto mixer (Bitcoin Inc) ★★★★ on: October 08, 2017, 12:21:22 AM
The investment option is indeed interesting and presents a pretty nice way for people to grow their coins steadily. However, is there any way that you guys can prove that your profits are actually x amount, instead of having the investors just having to trust you to state the truth?

Also it seems weird that there is a large discrepancy between the minimum investment of each coin. For instance, for btc it's 1 BTC yet for BCH it's 1 BCH, which equates to around less than 0.1 BTC. You should reconsider this process.

There is no way to mathematically prove our profits without revealing enough information to allow adversaries to track our wallets. It is not in our best interests to scam investors because if they earn too little they'll just withdraw their funds, nor is there any real reason to. If we were going to scam users, we'd have scammed people mixing but we haven't.

For the discrepancy, it's because we don't need Bitcoin or Ethereum investors as much as we do BCH/LTC ones. This way we can deal with 1 Bitcoin investor instead of 10 of them investing 0.1 each. Makes life easier.

We have tons of Bitcoins and Ethereum from our own ventures.

Here's a sample of what our investor panel looks like:

Looks very nice, and appreciate your response!

I guess it is going to be difficult to prove profits indeed and people are just going to have to trust you.

If you were to give the investors some advice, what coin do you think the yield will be the most? Taking into mixing volume, total "bankroll", turnover ratio, etc.
148  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for 32+ investors, each with commitment of 1+ BTC on: October 07, 2017, 11:24:43 PM
We have decided to accept private investments in https://www.chain-bet.com bankroll.

Chain-Bet is operating since May 30, 2016. Here is our announcement thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1492457.0. Lately, we have some high rollers on board, for which we need to increase our bankroll. Instead of a few investors with BIG budget, we need more with small. It would help us to spread the word of Chain-Bet through investors.

In case, u r interested, please respond to this thread or PM me with the amount u want to commit. Feel free to ask any Q that u may have...

This sounds like an interesting proposal, though i would like to know how exactly will this work? Will you give investors all of the profits or will you take a cut from the investor's share of profits? What is the percentage?

Also, what is the house edge of this game? How much is average weekly volume?
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Prices Reach $5,000 Again Without China? on: October 07, 2017, 12:27:34 AM
As of now the price of bitcoin is 4400 dollars and i bekieve even without china possible price of bitcoin before end of this month is 5k dollars so if you have extra money its better if you invest now in bitcoin and gor sure you will earn a lot of profit in the future but its up to you if you invest or not. Bitcoin pump more. More bitcoin more money to come.

We've still got China with us. Chinese bitcoin traders aren't just disappearing, they are still actively trading bitcoin. It's just that the platform they are conducting these trades are different now. Instead of exchanges, they are using localbitcoins increasingly and private trades conducted through wechat pay/alipay.

Even though the price has dropped initially when the news came out that China would ban ICOs and exchanges, right now the price has recovered significantly and seems to be intent in breaking $4500.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: when will bitcoin prove its true prosperity and take on full beast mode? on: October 07, 2017, 12:20:24 AM
Isn't a ride from $30 to above $1000 in less than one year, and from $1000 to above $4000 in less than year, wild enough for you?

Then maybe there will never be a beast mode, if your expectations are so high Huh

Well at least in my opinion this is not going to be even near the highest level bitcoin can achieve. We haven't even seen major integrations of bitcoin into the world banking system, nor is it even known in the majority of the earth's population.

We are nowhere near mass adoption yet. Once we achieve mass adoption you can only imagine how high the price would go.
151  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MinerGate Looks like a Ponzi Scheme to me. on: October 07, 2017, 12:14:04 AM
They're a pretty big company but they don't have the best reputation. There is speculation that they are somehow involved with freewallet, and they own changelly which often has complaints written against it.

The cloud mining does look suspicious to me. There seems to be no limit on stock for cloud mining contracts like hashflare/genesis. That means all they want is as much btc as they want and there may not be any actual mining going on.

I would proceed with caution if you are interested in investing in their cloud mining.

153  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to Buy BTC for paypal - Looking for regular trade on: October 07, 2017, 12:05:57 AM
Looking to trade my $USD paypal for Your btc at 30%

Looking for regular trade starting with $25 to establish trust
I will send first.
e.g. I send $25 paypal for $17.5btc

Want experienced trader with Hero+ status.
NO NEWBIES. NO NEGATIVE TRUST.

Tks

You mean 70%, right? 30% is the discount, not the amount you receive in bitcoin.

Anyways if you are willing to take that kind of acut you might as well buy your bitcoin straight from virwox. No identification required and you should be able to get around 80% at least for your paypal funds instead of 70% you're offering here.

People are extra cautious with paypal her, because paypal is reversible, bitcoin isn't.
154  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC sent to mixer but company is dissolved on: October 07, 2017, 12:03:44 AM
It has nothing to do with the company. The mixer is a scam, period.

You should have researched before you put anything into the mixer, especially one that has shitty design that seems to be done by a cheap web dev and no history of trading. Also, if a mixer is offering your anonymity, why would they even be a company themselves and expose them to the public?

Consider your coins lost, unfortunately you have to be extra careful conducting any trades here.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does an ICO need to be successful? on: October 06, 2017, 03:43:27 AM
I am wondering what you all believe what makes an ICO interesting and successful in the end?

In my opinion, there should be 3 main points:

1. Interesting idea to the target market
2. Good marketing
3. Active development team with fresh ideas.

The altcoin market is flooded with coins that don't actually do anything and just here to make money. These three points are what sets apart good projects from bad projects.
156  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Weird Problem with Blockchaininfo. Please help me out. on: October 06, 2017, 03:42:27 AM
Those are the 2 addresses my money was sent to without me doing anything.

Judging by the fact that these two wallets hold a ton of money i think it is safe to assume that your computer is likely to be infected with malware as DannyHamilton said. Do NOT send any bitcoin or altcoin to wallets that you currently have on your computer, or your money may be gone.

Either factory reset your computer or install a good antivirus program to clean out the viruses, before you do anything else. As for the transactions, unfortunately they have confirmed and therefore is irreversible.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Foxx tweets promoting crypto exchange ICO on: October 05, 2017, 03:33:24 AM
Not sure how i should feel about this but recently there seems to be a great amount of celebrities entering the business of promoting cryptocurrencies. They say that they will be participating but i doubt they actually even know what it's about.

Be careful. Just because a celebrity endorsement doesn't mean it's going to be profitable or even legit. In fact, it is highly likely that the hype generated makes the token sales overpriced.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: What country do you think will recognize Bitcoin as an official currency? on: October 05, 2017, 03:05:21 AM
I think for bitcoin to be a real currency, government have to accept it first.

So I ask what country do you think will recognize it as a currency?

I think that Japan currently is at the forefront of bitcoin adoption. The government seems to be pretty bitcoin-friendly as well so if bitcoin does get adopted as an official national currency in any country, Japan is probably going to be the first.

Bitcoin is already legalized in Japan and Australia, just not recognized as an official currency.

BTW, bitcoin does not need to be recognized as "official" for it to work its magic.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price BTC after SegWit2x? on: October 04, 2017, 05:47:42 AM
How think what price BTC will be after SegWit2x?

I think $6000

I'm said August 08 that BTC price after segwit will be $4500, I'm right Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2073830.msg20718415#msg20718415

Could definitely happen.

Forks, if gone right, can always impact the price of bitcoin positively. People will probably panic dump just before the Segwit2x fork happens and then right afterwards when they realize that nothing has gone wrong, they buy up as much as they can as the panic is now gone.

When that happens, $6000 could well be possible. It's not that big of a climb even, when compared to the 1st August event.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: When the price of the BTC will be equal to $ 10 000 ? on: October 04, 2017, 05:41:02 AM
How do you think: when the price of the BTC will be equal to $10K?    Grin

How many coins and in what cryptocurrency would you bet on your forecast?     Roll Eyes

Probably not going to be this year or in this decade actually.

But i believe that we have a good chance of achieving a 5 digit figure bitcoin in 2020, because there is a halving and there is a Tokyo olympics with a government that recently have changed their laws to legalize bitcoin.

I've sold half of my btc because i'm afraid of price flash crashing, but the other half i'm going to hold for at least 5 years.
