And most important-
Don't use any web wallet to store your BTC.
Here is what I have faced recently with the most reputed exchange and kind of web wallet coinbase- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145338.msg51139754#msg51139754

I guess , I did not mention it explicitly but I guess I can add below point in Wallet Safety.

If you (and you only) do not own the wallet private keys then it is not your coins.

Edit: Added.

142  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone know why Rothchilds are selling all their property? on: May 20, 2019, 04:58:50 PM
There are bigger names than Rothschild anyway.

The Rothschilds, the Vatican and the British Crown are at the top of the pyramid.

Aren't there splits in the family - this could cause the disintegration of the dynasty. Of course they may also believe that property prices are over inflated, and they need to switch into other assets such as countries.

British Crown is not wealthy but they are really powerful and know when to use their influence.

Rothschild are 500 Trillion USD empire, selling something at 100 million USD do not make think that they are cash strapped. might be they are done with Austria.

It is really interesting to know in what they are investing now?
143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning interest on cryptos on: May 20, 2019, 02:48:18 PM
I wouldn't trust any of those casino sites that you can invest in the bankroll, I've seen too many of them exit scam.  Investing in Exchanges that do leverage is not worth the risk either, most give you under 10% yearly.  You could always try to invest in some altcoins that are proof of stake and maybe even a masternode if you are feeling the risk is equal to the potential reward.

I actually looked for the casino bankroll investing a couple of month ago. I think they are not giving the all the data points so that I can analyze it is good decision to invest in bankroll or not. Anyway your bankroll invest can become zero too so I decided against it.

As far the investment in POS platform is concerned, crypto space is too volatile to make the decision whether one should back out or invest more to gain from dipping price. I will suggest to invest in POS coin if you believe in that coin/project. Do not invest in it for staking purpose only.

Best deal I think is to lend your BTC in lending section with 120% collateral. This will remove your dependency on third party.

This is very useful post for everyone especially for new members So I did translation of this thread for my local board  in hindi and hope it will help newcomers to aware about scammers. My translated link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145245.msg51136902#msg51136902

Hi bitlover , Thanks for translating it. I have quickly read that translated post. (Actually I am a native Hindi speaker.) I think below correction are required.

Quote
2. Cloud Minings:
There will be variety of sites that promise you to provide hashpowers to generate/mine bitcoins,litecoins/ethereum and in return of some 30 to 40 Dollar packages. These sites will be newly created and offering promising returns. But they last for few weeks only(A quick cash grab and shutting down the business). Even the sites that were existing for years , not all investors are happy. So investing in Cloud mining as a newbie is a big no.

Bold part translated to:
Quote
इसलिए क्लाउड माइनिंग मे नए लोगों के निवेश की बड़ी संख्या है।

But I think it should be translated as:

Quote
इसलिए एक नए निवेशक को क्लाउड माइनिंग में निवेश नहीं करना चाहिये।

Quote
10. वैलेट सुरक्षा ट.

I think  ट. is extra.

To become a full member you will need 100 activity and 100 merit.
You will earn merit by making good posts 100 activity by making posts every week  for some months.

You need 120 activities and 100 merits.

146  Economy / Services / Re: Paying $3 per Google Review and $5 per Yelp Review on: May 20, 2019, 03:28:25 AM
It is ethically wrong to put fake review for payments. OP is already negged for paying for fake reviews earlier.
The company for which OP paid for reviews is no longer exist. So I will ask you to stay away from this deal.
147  Economy / Services / Re: {Hire} Compile Mac wallet for my coin on: May 20, 2019, 03:21:38 AM
Your actual title should be "Hiring" instead of "Hire" to make it clear for users that you are requesting service (not providing one) even without reading the OP and just looking at title.
148  Other / Meta / Re: Lone Shark/ ChiBitCTy/ Limx Dev/ Am I unban material (The honeymoon guy) ?? on: May 20, 2019, 03:15:46 AM
I think you should update your OP with Halab's post and make sure to do weekly bump. I guess you should be fine with 1 year sig ban because you are already banned for more than 60 days( general duration of temp ban).
149  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't Theymos act on Bounty Managers Now on: May 20, 2019, 03:07:02 AM
Essentially, changing the rules to require 1 earned merit to display a signature, and therefore knocking thousands of users out of their signature campaign, reduced the number of posts on the forum by two thirds.
What happen if same requirements on minimum earned merits to display signatures, without demotions? I meant for each rank, users in that reach have to earned a minimum number of merits to be able to display their signatures. Demotions might cause mad situation, so such requirements to have rights of displaying signatures might be a good alternative for demotion. For example:
- Junior Member:  remains 1 as of demotion in September last year.
- Member: 15 earned merits
- Full Member: 25 earned merits
- Senior Members: 50 earned merits.
- Hero Member: 100 earned merits
- Legendary: 200 earned merits.

You mean no signature or a demoted signature(until you earn the required Merit) If there is no signature then legendary will envy of senoir who is able to get display signature by just earning 50 merit while legendary left without signature even after earning 100 merits
150  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: May 19, 2019, 05:27:53 PM
It goes to the person to whom it would be "most useful". This is elaborated on here. You only get 1 vote for every multiple of 250 earned merit.

This mathematical model is too complex. Is there any practical graph from some one DT list?
Or whatever I understood.it means that a graph for a single user cannot be created because nobody can determine "s" until all user voted, have their merit added to determine the total number of votes that are taking part in voting.

151  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BTC halving and hash power on: May 19, 2019, 05:07:01 PM
I can not figure it out. If miners get less and less BTC each halving wouldn't they eventually start decreasing hash power when BTC value stops rising making the blockchain prone to 51% attack?
They will receive less BTC each halving, that's true but imagine that the price needs only to double during that time (around 4 years) and that's not very unrealistic that the price will be doubled in 4 years (1BTC = 14,000$ in 2023).

Doubling price is not at all realistic solution because rewards are ultimately going to become zero in next century.

By logic of doubling prices , In next 40 years ,BTC should cost more than 7 million USD per BTC. I just wish if it can be true.
152  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: nBase - RTS game with an advanced crypto economy on: May 19, 2019, 04:16:16 PM
Have you checked the million dollar grossing games like clash of clan and game of war?
I think avid gamers just like gameplay and put lot of money in buying virtual stuff so that they can prove their supremacy in virtual world.
153  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is it effective to advertise crypto projects via bloggers? on: May 19, 2019, 03:58:30 PM
Instead of advertising , finding bloggers, I will advise you to find reputable developers and create the project with them. A good project automatically get publicity for free.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Hacked - Thief Caught? on: May 19, 2019, 03:45:57 PM
In many case this come to be a inside job like this:

https://www.crypto-news.in/news/breakthrough-coinsecure-hack-former-cso-admits-logging-server/

I am not able to find about current progress in this case.

you should verify if exchange is registered as a business or not. In some cases  there are scam exchanges.(no need of hack, you are directly giving money to scammers.)
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good investment? on: May 19, 2019, 03:10:34 PM
A lot of us are in doubt about investing and trading during these days. We can't really avoid being discombobulated especially newbies that's why sharing our own experience and knowledge can help them to be wiser and responsible about making decision. Just like some of you i'm looking for a good investment, one of my friend suggested Afrihealth. I'm not actually familiar with it that's why I decided to search for some information and details about it and it turns out good. Of course as an investor I want everything to be great and turn into positive outcomes that's why I always make sure about everything especially on making decision so I won't regret anything.Do you think its a good and worth it investment?

The Afrihealth project looks like an ICO launched by an Indian team(it raises red flag for me,since I don't like ICOs).
Their AHC token isn't listed on Coinmarketcap.
Their website looks good enough(which doesn't prove anything, when it comes to legitimacy).
Their idea about health care in Africa, makes me think that this is more like a charity project, rather than a working business model.
I don't know,I'm not convinced to buy tokens from such project.

Most likely OP is shilling for that project. If you look closely on the team member profile then they there is no claim on their profiles that are linked to this project.
Even founder and CEO are not mentioning Afrihealth on their profile.

I'm not sure why you are still asking here as you seem to have done your research already about this project and concluded that it is good. Would you change your mind if others would have a different opinion?

It clearly shows the post was just made for posting sake. I don't k ow why people do that. You will see almost similar post  across the forum made by different people. I just wonder, is it that they do not read others posts or what? Most frequently asked questions like this one have already been answered here many times.

No, it is pure shill/scam attempt on part of OP. Claiming to throughly researched a ICO that look fake in one glance.

Edit: Only CTO mention Afrihealth in profile and just have 8 connection linkedin. ( I an not able to view to whom he is linked). But 8 connection in CTO profile  do not make me  feel assured at all like OP.

157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are Africans being "helped" to much? on: May 19, 2019, 02:02:10 PM

Once you do that, all corrupted politicians will leave or be killed by their own citizens.  As it is now, they wait for IMF loans, then divert them to offshore accounts they control while the poor folks continue to suffer.

They have enough resources to support themselves.

I think IMF want to give loans so that in future they can further exploit this continent.
Overpopulation is a big issue and that is amplified by uneducated people. they elect and reelect the corrupt government that further exploit the country.

No idea of bitonbay ,how that previous poster find out.

But bleutrade is listed on their official site : http://beancash.org/

Official site also mention "Nova Exchange" that is not in Coinmarketcap  list.

160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get cheap or free VPN. on: May 19, 2019, 01:25:40 PM
Recently I am thinking of privacy. I understand that I need to use tor browser + VPN. I downloaded the tor browser for free but I am not sure about the VPNs.

In some articles that I read , they say that free VPN actually save your logs to sell it and not reliable at all. Good VPN connections are not cheap at all. Actually I do not require VPN as such but I like to use it. I am looking for free or very cheap VPN. My location is in India.
You can get tons of VPN for free on any platforms like android and Windows, just go to the market apps and type free VPN software then you will get some apps with premium services by paying for it.I am using HOXX and HOLA on my browsers and turbo VPN on my android so you also can check those free softwares.

If you are still using hola than you have not paid attention to previous post in this thread.
