141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top 9 Campaign Managers of 2024..... on: April 30, 2024, 01:23:05 PM
I am curious to know how you determined the ranking of Bounty Managers without being part of their campaigns. While it is easy to guess, I would suggest conducting further research before concluding, as each Bounty Manager has a unique way of promoting campaigns and selecting the best posters in the forum. I have a feeling that you conducted this ranking analysis to get into a signature campaign by promoting them based on the number of campaigns they are currently handling. I won't deny that Hhampuz is the best, but I'm curious as to why you placed Icopress at the bottom of your list.

I have participated in signature campaigns led by Hhampuz during my early days in the crypto world. Later, I was welcomed by CryptopreneurBrainboss, and currently, I am part of a signature campaign by Icopress. I have never faced any issues with any of these campaign managers. They are the best and always handle any issues professionally. Next time do think to ask the participants of different BMs before coming up with such ranking.
142  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: April 30, 2024, 12:41:37 PM
This is something new that I have never experienced with local Indian exchange. Surprisingly, I got an airdrop of a certain token from an Indian exchange worth INR 2000. I never expected that to happen, as I was not that worthy to get those tokens, since I do not trade that often.

I was aware that they were running a promotion contest as IPL-2024 started. Based on the number of runs scored and for those trading within the IPL schedule they were alo0cating the tokens.

I have never looked into such kind of contest in Indian exchanges as there are too many conditions required to qualify. To my surprise, Indian exchange is now offering something that International exchanges cannot offer anymore.

I feel it is the right time to check offers provided by any Indian exchange. I also feel this is the right time to participate in casual trading as I have been doing on that particular local exchange.

Please do reconsider this user, whom you have selected for this campaign.

Hhampuz, I'm reporting one of your participants for being an egregious shitposter:  Patrol69

He's writing bloated, repetitive posts like this one, which are of zero value and just pollute the threads they're in:

I also tried enrolling in online trading courses but I didn't get any good results there. The few days I tried to learn about trading by enrolling in online courses only they took money from me but they didn't give me good idea about trading at all. Since I didn't get good results by enrolling in online courses, I didn't want to waste my money by enrolling in online courses, that's why I refrained from learning about trading in online courses. Practicing trading yourself is much more effective than learning about trading by enrolling in an online course. While trading practically, some mistakes may be made but the mistake will be known immediately so that the same mistake will not be made again later. If you want to learn about trading, you must give time, you must have enough patience without these things, learning about trading is impossible.

Just look at the bolded phrases and note that everything else is just generic nonsense.

One last example:

First you need to find out the difference between gold and digital currency. Gold is a metallic substance and it is one of the most valuable metals in the world. On the other hand, there are different types of digital coins and different types of coins that have investment opportunities.

In most cases, investors usually compare gold with Bitcoin because Bitcoin is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies on the other hand, gold is a very valuable and popular metal in its own right. But although gold can be used for other purposes, I don't think buying gold can be considered as an investment. It's a different matter if you are a goldsmith and do your business with gold but if you think like that you will buy gold now and sell gold in future then I don't think you will make much profit. Because the price of gold does not fluctuate much, no matter how much gold you buy, at the end of a certain period of time, your capital remains the same, meaning you did not earn much profit from it.

The topic was about someone debating whether he should buy gold at a Costco.  Patrol69's mention of gold being a metallic substance, goldsmithing, and all that other crap reeks of not only shitposting but possible AI help as well.  Please nuke this guy.

I am not trying to spam your thread. It is something that I think is important.

Indian squad for T20 World Cup announced

As expected Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson, Rishab Pant are part of the team. Confused to see Hardik Pandya as a VC whereas he has been out of form in IPL 2024 and no KL Rahul in the squad.

I was expecting some fresh face in this ICC series, most of the names seen in this squad are out of form. For example Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Sing, Rohit Sharma (he has to be included as he was announced the captain long back), Virat Kohli (SR is terrible for T20 class). SKY has not been that efficient after his injury and Avesh Khan again? What prompted the selectors to again include him as a probable? I doubt this team has anything to offer and trust me the Mumbai chief selector has gone nuts.

When India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, it was a new team filled with players who had a strong desire to win. However, the current team for the 2024 World Cup seems to have a different focus. Many of the players are more interested in securing their earnings for the upcoming IPL season than winning the tournament. I believe that Ajit Agarkar, the team selection committee member, has either lost his mind or is being paid by the franchise to select these players. Additionally, there is a considerable number of cricket players who have made Mumbai their home.

RCB is so deep in the point table that they will need to every match to secure their position for the playoffs. Looking at the way Virat Kohli has been batting it is again the attitude to get a 50 rather than getting his team to win the match. He has now become a yesteryear batter who at the end of their career was more concerned about getting records. The reason is to stay in the limelight, but only a few like MSD cared about the trophies. Rohit Sharma followed him and now we can see why is still important whereas he is not at the top of the number of runs he has scored for a few years now in IPL.

Lol 😆 they are making a comeback and they are doing the right thing. Virat again played the anchor role for his team, he might haven't been able to contribute as Will Jacks did with his superb innings. But, he was their when his team needed him and that what matters as it is the KOACH who is backing a new batter and motivating him to bat well. That is what he did while being on the pitch with Jack.

You were right about RCB winning with the help of Kohli in chasing a big total. It is now evident that the pitch curators are making it easier for the batsmen to score big runs by ensuring perfect timing of the ball, resulting in frequent boundaries. However, Kohli seemed to be more focused on holding his orange cap as the top run-scorer rather than contributing towards the team's victory. It was disappointing to see him play a mediocre innings and only aim for another half-century to add to his records.

RCB batsman Jakes scored 100 runs off 41 balls.  The batsman showed great interest in the match and added runs with effort and struggle.  Apart from him, Virat Kohli scored 70 runs off 44 balls and he also worked hard in the match.  GT batsmen set a target of 200 in 20 overs which was very good.  But the RCB batsmen set a target of 206 in 16 overs and won the match.  Had Virat Kohli and Jacks not worked so hard and struggled, they could have won this match very easily.GT bowlers need to work hard and struggle so that they can perform well in the next matches.RCB batsmen and bowlers also showed good performance in the match.

They won brother but they still cannot make into the playoffs.
147  Other / Meta / Re: Help unlocking my original bitcointalk account on: April 28, 2024, 01:44:56 PM
In the past, restoring an account was slow and could take weeks or even months, but over the past three years it has become much faster. I hope that you will be able to restore the account in less than a week.  All you need to do is be patient and provide more data proving your ownership of this account.

Like he said did you again try restoring your account @dominipater, it is still the same way as it was back in the day. By that, I mean to say the process but it is fast and it doesn't require you to wait. Since you said it happened due to an issue of the forum why not send a DM to the mods or the admin? They will check it and if they can find the cause they will be able to restore the account. If you have already done what I suggested then it is better to wait for their response unless you have lied to the community and these guys (mods and admin) are already aware of it.
148  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can what happened to Samourai Wallet happen to Electrum ? on: April 28, 2024, 01:14:53 PM
The FBI is going after Bitcoin mixers and those wallets that offer such facilities. They will never come after those wallets that they think are used to hold Bitcoin. In case they seek for the developers of Electrum walle,t they will need to do a big hard work as the developers are scattered all over the world.

Let's assume they got hold of everyone and then they confiscated the software codes, they will still not be able to come after you. If they still manage then you can delete your wallet and before that do create a backup and keep safe those seed phrases. With those seed phrases you will be able to gain access to your Bitcoin with any compatible wallet.

Almost all Bitcoin wallets are compatible with each other as per my understanding. If, I am wrong then someone with technical knowledge will update my understanding.

RCB is batting now and I hope Virat goes on the demolition mode if he wants his team to come up on the point table. They should end up in a decent position on the point table as they are in the bottom and before the playoffs. The most important question is that can RCB win 2 in a row?

RCB is so deep in the point table that they will need to every match to secure their position for the playoffs. Looking at the way Virat Kohli has been batting it is again the attitude to get a 50 rather than getting his team to win the match. He has now become a yesteryear batter who at the end of their career was more concerned about getting records. There are too many runs that are being scored in this year of IPL. It now looks like any team can easily get to 250 or more runs, looks like the pitches are being created to help the batters. There should be some healthy competition between the batters and the bowlers. I liked the match between RR and LSG more than the first one as the bowlers were getting help in the second game from the pitch. It was the batters who had to play sensibly in that match to get those runs on the scoreboard. Sanju Samson has been in good form it seems as he has been batting well this year and is no longer afraid to play the risky shots. His team is at the top of the point table and they have lost only 1 match till now, they will surely make it to the playoffs.

Technically any team that win 8 matches will end up in top 4, so they are already qualified for it and now their Target will be no 1 or 2 in the points table that will give extra chance in case of losing one playoff.

Flat pitches,

Small boundaries.

Impact player rule

Which are turning this game into the favour of batters but for the longevity of game it should be fair for both or else IPL might lose its charm.

Seeing 250+ score can be entertaining but what can be the dramatic thriller is defending 160.
Yeah, technically they have already qualified for the playoffs. Sanju Samson was incredible yesterday and not to forget Jurel was their to support him. I think the impact player rule should be removed and the curators should start working on good pitches. It is becoming monotonous now with the ease these batters are going after the bowlers.

Which other teams do you think will be able to qualify for the play offs. I feel KKR has a good chance to qualify with thier top order batters playing very good as of now. The bowling and fielding is a concern but they can work with that to improve it.

Dutch and South Africa are different too.

Your answer to my mindset and why I assumed after seeing a lot of three-word names of white people from SA.
Quote
The Netherlands also occupied South Africa from 1652–1795 and 1803–1806. The colony was originally created to supply passing ships with fresh produce, but grew rapidly as Dutch farmers settled to grow crops

source

I saw him in BBL, he was good there, guess DC management didn't that's why they didn't have him play in first several matches otherwise they would have won more.

Apart from the Indian Premier League (IPL), I have not watched any other franchise league because I am least interested in them since they are nothing like the IPL. However, it is good to see a young talent like him tearing apart those bowlers. He is undoubtedly a great discovery for the Delhi Capitals, but how long he will remain a part of the team is questionable. I recall Shane Watson being noticed by the Australian Cricket Board after he played similarly in the IPL. There are others as well, but this young player, with his abilities, will undoubtedly secure his spot in the Australian team if he continues to bat in the same way.
153  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: April 27, 2024, 12:43:31 PM
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, SKY, Pant, KL Rahul and Bhumrah should be in the squad for World Cup. Sanju Samson may be included in but I have a little doubt. BCCI have created flat pitches for IPL and that is why we are seeing big runs currently but in an ICC event pitch will not always be batter friendly then of course we need to remember that it is being hosted in West indies and US. Wherein WI is known to create pitches that are bowler friendly.

Not just flat pitches, the size of boundaries also smaller in most grounds that's why we saw the 11 year record has been breached 5 times this year and we are just at the halfway.

KL is consistent in ODI format but I don't think he will have a spot in T20 WC but probably can be considered as backup WK batsman if not Sanju.

All rounder slot is what I am most excited cause Hardik is the genuine all rounder in the Pacers category and everyone else is more of batting or bowling all rounder meanwhile Hardik has bad season until now.

What I think does not matter as BCCI will make its selection based on the way players perform this season of IPL. The biggest blunder the chief selector made was declaring Rohit as the captain before the IPL. As of now, he is not in the right state of mind to bat as he lost his MI captaincy to a shit player. He has clearly said in public that the T20WC squad will need Kohli. Two players who are not doing good are already reserved and they will play every game.

The problem now for the selectors is to find 9 players who are good in their domain. Out of these 9 players, they will need 4 bowlers minimum and a wicket-keeper, now they are left with 4 batters and all-rounders who can bat and bowl. The competition is fierce and we will see some new names in that 4 required batters/allrounders/WK. We might see 3 new names on that list who are known for their batting and not anything else. In total the Indian team will have 5 batters and the rest will be a mixture so, the task for the selectors are to find three batters who can help the team in bringing the cup back home after 2007.
154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Check twice before sending transaction if it will impact your privacy negatively on: April 27, 2024, 12:28:09 PM
He was just pointing to privacy which is a good way to prevent someone from tracking our Bitcoin but the problem is all addresses that we use in the signature campaign are always public there's no way right now to make our BTC private because we already posted our BTC address here on the forum and all transaction are recorded on the blockchain even we keep changing our BTC to any signature campaign it's still public unless if we sent the BTC to other address which they don't know if we own that address where it sent to.
What you are saying is correct and it is not that easy to wipe out the Bitcoin addresses in the forum. The only solution that comes to my mind is to either use different Bitcoin addresses for every new campaign or convert Bitcoin to Monero on a trusted P2P platform and then again swap Monero to Bitcoin in another P2P platform. For example, sending Bitcoin to Bisq and then converting them to Monero, sending Monero to localMonero or any other exchange then again converting Monero to Bitcoin. It will cost some Bitcoin for buying and selling but it is the best option available as of now.

Today, he was once again blasted by the South African opener while playing for DC, and his captaincy skills were not praiseworthy.
Jake Fraser-McGurk is Australian.

His name suggested to me that he should be a Dutch and come from South Africa. I did a check and he is listed as an Australian on the ACB website, never heard of him before which is why got confused. But, he is a great talent for Australia and he has the potential. I am sure this guy will be part of the squad for the T20WC-2024.

Yesterday he came early to bat otherwise he bats at lower middle order. Regarding selection, I don't think he has got any chance.

By the 1st of May, BCCI has to announce the squad, let's see whether he can make it.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Impact of Crypto Betting on Traditional Sports Betting on: April 27, 2024, 11:49:09 AM
Crypto betting is forcing a bonus and reward rethink
Traditional sportsbooks used to utilize bonuses and rewards as a way to keep players tied to their platforms. They did this by making it almost impossible to bet enough to unlock your money. For example, if you took a 100% with a 10x rollover at $500, that means you would have to bet $5,000 before withdrawing any of your funds.

Crypto betting rewards and bonuses think about things differently. There is no such thing as a 10x rollover in most crypto books because fees the sportsbook must pay are much lower. Overhead at crypto books are also lower, by a massive margin, than they are at traditional sportsbooks.

Here are my three reasons why crypto betting won't be able to beat traditional sports betting:

  • The problem with crypto betting is that it is comparatively new and gamblers do not like to leave their comfort zone just because the rewards are good.
  • Cryptocurrency betting has lower fees and overhead costs when compared to traditional sportsbooks, which eliminates the need for high rollovers that restrict players from withdrawing funds.
  • Cryptocurrency betting is changing bonus and reward structures compared to traditional models. However, it is something that is not yet widely understood or adopted by gamblers

As you said earlier it is just baby steps but it is evident that those who bet on sports still prefer the traditional way of understanding cryptocurrency sports betting.

Virat deserves place in team, just because of his SR, you can't exclude him. His presence and experience is of tremendous help to the team. He can play anchor inning while other batters coming on crease keep the scoreboard going.

Regarding who should get in as wk, There are so many WK options yet I do not feel safe with even one of them.

He will be part of the squad that is what Rohit Sharma said even though he is not in the form that he was last year. Virat is still looking better than him and I feel that he will be playing his last T2OWC same goes for the Hitman.

snip.

Yeah, he is batting well and one of the cheapest players that PBKS got for this season. His style is not that similar to SKY but some of his hook shots towards the leg side might remind of SKY.

Hardik Pandya has not been able to bat and bowl well this season, maybe that's why he might be left out of the Indian main team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

He was focused on negotiating with MI when he should have concentrated on improving his overall performance. His downfall began when he left the Indian squad during the ODIWC to pursue his dream of becoming the captain of MI. Today, he was once again blasted by the South African opener while playing for DC, and his captaincy skills were not praiseworthy.

159  Local / India / Re: Breaking: Bitcoin Halving Event [2024] is over! on: April 26, 2024, 01:07:05 PM
I really don't think there is a loss to miners or drop in their rewards as long as Bitcoin's value is higher, I was not expecting any bullrun till the end of this year and I was amazed even by the surge we have seen in last 6-7 months which was not expected. My plan would be to continue with the existing DCA and keep a track of market trend because during bull timing matters the most as you could miss rally by minutes, In short I am accumulating Bitcoin to sell it during peak and reinvest a part of it in altcoins during bullrun.

What you are assuming is a temporary phase and it has already died down due to the sudden crash of Bitcoin price. Before halving there was a Bitcoin bull run and the price of it shot up to $73K, when they were getting BTC6.25 for every block. Now, Bitcon price to a correction and it is now $64K when every block the miners mined is giving half of what they were earning.

There will be a decrease in the amount the miners are earning now. The only problem is that the spam of BRC 20 is still making them earn more in USD than they should earn. By the way, Bitcoin creator never thought that USD will be significant when he created it. It was all about Bitcoin and Satoshi, it was never about USD and Cents.

Why not share the account profile link if you want it to be unlocked. What you said about your present account is good and I don't think what you are trying to achieve can be considered wrong. The problem here is that you never disclosed the account name or the link to the profile. Without those details we would be helpless as we don't know what we are dealing with.
