141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best alts masternodes to invest in on: May 12, 2019, 01:48:18 PM
Time showed me that investing in masternodes just to get roi is making you lose. Because that good roi tokens mostly doesn't worth anything and just pay good percentage to masternode holders. So, invest a masternode which you believe in their project. I always like pivx so you can check that.

Invest in a masternode if coin looks promising not because current rate seems more profitable, that will change.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 12, 2019, 01:42:18 PM
What happens to the price? Why strong fall lately?
Already three times fell in dollars from the peak of the price against the background of the growth of the remaining tokens where there is a small capitalization.

When bitcoin pumps, it mostly hit lower valued coins. Because they have very low trade volume if 1-2 holder wants to switch to bitcoin that hits price hard. Higher volume coins take this hit softer but like veil, if you have low volume, dump is inevitable. But it is temporary. Bitcoin will stop pumping and money will return to alts.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Bitcoin Volatility due to Binance Hack ? Market Manipulation on: May 12, 2019, 01:39:56 PM
It is a volatile market because some days were stable, we can't expect it to be stable every time.

Withdrawing of binance and bitfinex are disabled in this period and if there were a dump we could have blamed them. But hack and tether news are just bad news but bitcoin still rises. So we can't blame them, and we can give them any credit because of the pump. Right now the only effect they did is people who likes to arbitrage.
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Next Bitcoin Bull Run Started? on: May 12, 2019, 01:36:59 PM
Bitcoin is a very hard market to predict. It is very volatile and everything can happen.

But i must say thing looking good nowadays. Bitcoin raised more than %100 after hitting the bottom. And even major news like binance hacked didn't disrupt its pump. However most of the money coming from the alts not outside of the market.

Still, my guess is, we are at the beginning of new btc uptrend. And this will be very strong.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MINERS DIRECT on: May 10, 2019, 02:39:45 PM
They have a nice domain name actually.

The prices seem a bit too good to be true means maybe not scam outside of crypto but in crypto world definite scam. I wouldn't risk my money on this website with the absence of reversible transfers.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please help urgently, usdt cheated to a cheating usdt address on: May 09, 2019, 03:45:58 PM
I think there is more of this story. 100k usdt is huge money, and what is the other guy offered in return of this money?

How did he cheat you? And how did you believe him?

Also, as mentioned above, that money is gone and besides the conscience of the scammer (highly unlikely), you will never see that money.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance talked about a "re-org" What is a re-org? how does that work with BTC? on: May 09, 2019, 03:35:46 PM
I can't believe they even suggested that.

"pros: 1 we could "revenge" the hackers by "moving" the fees to miners; 2 deter future hacking attempts in the process. 3. explore the possibility of how bitcoin network would deal with situations like these."

I mean, anybody here thinks that money will be given to miners. Also, what is the limit of that? 1m $ hack is enough for rollback or 10? And i am not talking about how impossible to make a rollback.
148  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance #safu fund on: May 09, 2019, 03:27:45 PM
Actually it is good that they have a safu and paying back to people but on the other hand i would prefer safu fund would be there but never needed to use. Because that fund has a limit and if a bigger hack like instead %2 of the btc, %100 of the btc hacked, that fund would only cover some part of the hack.

And just read an analyze that binance would recover 40m $ in around 45 days. So it is not a huge blow for them financially but a huge blow for them in trust. We still don't know the details of the hack and i believe we need to know. Regardless i will withdraw my btc after withdrawal is open and i will only use binance for trade, not holding anything just because it is convenient.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 08, 2019, 05:52:34 PM
Once they reach the total supply they will completely switch to PoS, right? If yes then any idea how much longer the PoW will be active for?
Thanks.
No emission for staking and mining after years 19 and that means if the hardcap will have achieved by veil in the next 19 years from now. Remember after the hardcap has already achieved and no more emission will be produced and staking and mining will not get any reward from the block. I just got that from the veil.

I think this is the plan right now but it can change. In 19 years veil can something that valuable miners can be more than happy just with the fees on the chain. But 19 years is not a law. If things mature enough in 10 years they can change that too. Or in the opposite, if things won't be enough 19 years later, they can add some more years, readjust block rewards and etc.

Their plan is something but we don't know that plan will be real or not.

150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on ETF and its effect in crypto space on: May 07, 2019, 08:28:55 PM
Hey guys, i am really interested in this ETF. It's been a year since we i am hearing this. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think we are going to have an ETF? Cheers!

The expectation of ETF in Bitcoin has been a long time. I don't think it will be effective even in pricing anymore. Bitcoin got over that ETF issue.

No, you are very wrong. Let me give you an example, for instance when a token listed on binance, it pumps. But this is just speculative, the token is the same token but when that token delivers a product, maybe a unique one, that is real progress and that is real value gain.

About ETF the price rise will be speculative maybe with the announcement. But approving of ETF is opening a door for btc full of money. And that money will pour into bitcoin. And that will cause real growth, not the speculative one.

It will eventually get approved, and it will great for all of us.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts really die once BTC starts climbing unbelievable highs? on: May 07, 2019, 08:23:29 PM
I don't think alts will die if BTC climbs to unbelievable highs. Yes, it can bleed on btc pair but if the project is offering something real, it would have value.

For instance, a token worth 0.01 btc right now would worth around 0.00001 btc if btc make a 1000x. Yes, you lost a huge amount compared to btc holding that altcoin but on the other hand, token worth 58$ at the start and at the end it was still 58$.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 07, 2019, 05:43:03 PM
You know apart from trading tokens , you can also make profit in staking. But this really needs a professional mindset in switching from trading to staking while making sure to avoid losses.

Trading is a two-edged sword. You can make profit more than yearly pos income even in a day. But on the other hand, you can end up way lesser coin you started with.

I am not a good trader and even the best traders can make mistakes. So, i would prefer the riskless way and will try to accumulate more veil tokens just with staking them.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi came out with bitcoin2.0 would you use it? let`s say he used his keys on: May 05, 2019, 03:40:41 PM
Something happening like that is around %0.000000000000000000000000000000001. So i must say it is very unlikely.

Let's say it happened, if it will become a pow coin with free distribution, the difficulty would be very high and price would be very high also. I don't expect he is doing an ico Cheesy
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10,000$ - Where to invest? on: May 04, 2019, 02:24:31 PM
I'm going to make this thread self-moderated because I know how spammy the threads with my kind of question could get.

I currently have about 10,000$ in holdings (BTC). I was wondering If someone could suggest what I could do to make them grow?

Take into consideration that I'm not interested in any type of interest based investment (MLM, Ponzi schemes, etc.) and I'm also not experienced with trading.

It is not an easy question actually. If you don't have any other btc holdings, i think you need to hold at least %50 on btc. For the rest, you can make a portfolio. Some high risk / high gain capacity coins, and some lower risk/low gain capacity coins.

For high risk/high gain, you should check some low market cap coins with a product or a community. For instance, i can suggest semux in that manner.

For lower risk/low gain, you can invest the most believed project you have and best exchange tokens. If you like stellar chain and feel like they will grow in value, buy some stellar or eos or maybe eth. About the exchange tokens, if the exchange is working nicely, tokens of it can be bought. Like bnb, kcs or any other exchange you like.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The exciting journey of 3 friends to a Blockchain startup on: May 04, 2019, 02:18:44 PM
So it is another ico. I thought they delivered something very unique and it can be a good story when doing with friends.

Instead, it seemed me like three friends see other icos raising millions of dollars and now they want same. Actually, i want the same. Million dollars in return maybe a product.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitfinex Allegedly Covers $850 million Loss with Tether Funds on: May 04, 2019, 02:13:19 PM
Now everything fine guys. Nothing to talk about this topic anymore as it was just a FUD. Investors seems don't really care about this one and now they continue to prepare new bullrun for Bitcoin.

Actually it is not fine. Right now the price of bitcoin is 300$ higher than other exchanges.

People are trying to get rid of tether and it is pushing the price up, and you can't arbitrage because bitfinex isn't allowing withdraws.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEMUX: Discussion on: May 04, 2019, 02:04:05 PM
I agree, that SEMUX very well survived the bearish trend and for a long time is in the accumulation zone.
It would be nice to see SEMUX on newer larger exchanges. Tokok mainly shows fake volumes.

i would also like to see semux rise. unfortunately there is not much going on in telegram. i have done relatively little research lately. wait for the next bulls. then the good time for sem will come. had better times already Cool

Actually they are active in discord. https://discordapp.com/invite/qQVckKZ

It is not the most active discord channel in the world but still, it has some good activity compared to telegram channels with thousands of silent bot.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEMUX: Discussion on: May 03, 2019, 04:12:59 AM
Semux has one of the few projects didn't make an ico and really delivering something. They are near to activate vm for it. They burned a big chunk of founder tokens and dropped emission for the future which decreased total supply about %70.

Also, they have a big community and they have an active github. I always feel like Semux can be huge at some point but needs time.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin forks on: May 02, 2019, 07:54:42 PM
I wasn't around the crypto scene for some time. I was wondering If there are some forks that I missed and that are worth claiming?

I only claimed BTG and BCH and sold them instantly back in the day, are there are in others that are preferably easy to get access to and to exchange (without KYC).

After BCH and BTG i saw lots of forks but none of them worth anything. Well, in my opinion, BCH and BTG were too not worth anything but they did.

There was a bitcoin diamond too if i remembering correctly which worth something.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 02, 2019, 06:26:34 PM
Who else can share real information about the income from PoS mining?
As far as I know, PoW mining will only work until the end of the year.
The income from POS mining is unknown and the earning is depending on the total coin that you stake on the network or staking wallet. The calculator can't predict it. You can calculate it after you know how much you wanna staking it to the POS network.

You can make a reasonable guess though...  Right now - about 13k Veil will stake a block a day.
So, 1,300 will do a block every 10days or 3 a month. Thats 150 veil from 1,300 a month.
Or about 11%.

But in order to keep up with staking your going to have to hold more coins. Which I think the emission is higher than 11%/month right now.

%11 monthly is a great number. And this won't be available for a long time.

I should put a second pc just for staking. I don't want to miss this.

Different pc with different wallet, right? I read in telegram chat that same wallet on different PCs will cause issues.

I wasn't aware of that. Different pc with the same wallet i was thinking. But i will only open on wallet at a time. I think if something cause issues that should be simultaneously open same wallet on different pc. Still, will ask just to be sure in telegram.
