141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free test! - AvsBsports.eu on: June 13, 2017, 06:55:57 AM
Like the site, I will be happy to test it out. You guys should probably give out free bets or something to people testing the site out.

I see one error. When I click on the odds, I see a small picture flying to the right. Don't know why.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA FINALS (Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers) GAME 5!!! GSW 3 CAVS 1 on: June 13, 2017, 06:54:14 AM
I am so glad went with GSW-7.5 on this game. Would have hated it if Cavs got in couple of more baskets. Had big money riding on this and glad we  made it alive Smiley
143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a transaction like this happen before confirming ? on: June 10, 2017, 09:19:59 PM
No, a transaction does not need to be confirmed before another one can be created that spends from it. There is no consensus or network rule that prevents you from spending from an unconfirmed output. However, most wallet software will prevent you from doing so as it can potentially lead to a loss of funds. But just because wallet software limits it does not mean that it cannot be done.

Well thank you. I always used to think that it was built in. Didn't know it was just the wallets preventing from creating a transaction when there was an unconfirmed one.

So if it turns out to be a double spend, then the whole transaction would disappear i suppose ?

144  Other / Beginners & Help / How can a transaction like this happen before confirming ? on: June 10, 2017, 08:08:10 PM
So I saw this transaction today

And the money left the address right after it arrived there without any confirmation .

How is this possible ? Doesn't it need to confirm before that address can send it ?
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling experiences : before and after bitcoins. on: June 10, 2017, 04:45:35 AM
I found that I was betting much more with bitcoin as well. Currently, I treat it as a coin, and not its actual value. Hence at times I realizes I have lost too many dollars and not too many coins by betting.

I wish bitcoin casinos allowed/showed amounts in dollars.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sending a transaction to multiple people with the same fees on: June 10, 2017, 04:02:27 AM
Thank you so much for the answer. That looks perfect for my usecase. Onto downloading it now.

If anyone here knows of a website which would allow it as well, please let me know. I am always on the go, and like to have my bitcoins available online.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best and most Trustworthy Platform to Short bitcoin ? on: June 10, 2017, 04:00:53 AM
Bump. Still looking for an answer to this. I found an exchange but the fees is way too much for me to short long term. Anyone knows of platforms which would allow me to short at a lower fees ?
148  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: TAX HELP - USA- MASS on: June 10, 2017, 03:58:51 AM
Let's say someone makes 10k from trading currencies on poloniex and wants to cashout bitcoins on coinbase to there bank account...How would they go about paying taxes on this? And is this short term or long term? For it to be long term gains would the bitcoin have to sit untouched for a year before cashing out on coinbase?

While legally you would be paying taxes on whatever you profit from the time you bought it. I would consider it to be short term. Perhaps a tax expert will be able to help you out better. Ask this in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1724798.0
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 10, 2017, 03:53:18 AM
My exchange kraken.com sent me an email today: they've increased the fee to withdraw Bitcoin to 0.0025 BTC.
That is 6.18 euro at current rate to withdraw Bitcoin.
They charge 0.09 euro to withdraw euro to my bank.

Taking out Bitcoin is now 68 times more expensive than using my bank! This is beyond rediculous.

Holy shit. I wish all these exchanges gave an option to decrease the fees and let us suffer incase it doesn't confirm in time. You should probably just sell it, and you will save more money that way.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA FINALS (Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers) GAME 4!!! on: June 10, 2017, 03:51:37 AM
Glad I didn't take Golden State Warriors to win this game. Went with Over 59 points in the first quarter and it paid handsomely. All their previous games have been a high scoring first quarter, was an easy thing to bet on this game too.
151  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Now Accepting Ether ! on: June 05, 2017, 08:47:26 PM
I hope DirectBet will come back, I feel DirectBet lost, because I only do bet balls in DirectBet.
Surely everyone who does a bet in DirectBet is very disappointed,Why does DirectBet stop?

They did specify the reason in their original post. However I have a feeling that isn't the main reason for the closure, specially when it has been making them good money and they have paid out so much in the contest they have held here from time to time.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 05, 2017, 08:45:35 PM
There is nothing insane. 1$ is not so big money to be payed for a transaction really. There are places that takes some % as fee for the transaction. And wen the amount is low - you pay something really small, but imagine how big money it is if the transaction is like couple of tens or hundreds bitcoins?!

It's actually close to 20$ now. And wait till it becomes 2000$, we shall see how people will feel then.

20$ ? Wait what ? What site are you looking at  the fees at ? For anymore lower than 0.5 btc you should be fine with paying a fees of around 0.001. Don't look at the right fees estimates and all. I have seen they have it all wrong atm.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i think bitcoin will not be common for small transcitions on: June 05, 2017, 08:07:09 PM
I don't think that is where it is headed for. People are now looking at bitcoin only as a gold replacement to invest their money in. They know the fees is way too much, and it won't be used for transactions. But they can trust it as a source of investment since it is decentralized.
154  Economy / Gambling / Re: ◥◤ NitrogenSports ◢ Largest & Most Trusted BTC Sportsbook ◣ Bet NBA Playoffs ◥◤ on: May 29, 2017, 07:28:07 PM
I have 2 questions Huh

1. In the red part, if i bet Cortulua and match result is draw, i will won or lost ?

2. What is the green part ? It shows maximum bet ?

1. You will lose the bet if the match is a draw.

And yes the green part is the maximum bet you can make. Or actually might be the maximum win, since the amount seems too small.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: May 26, 2017, 08:43:50 AM
I feel bitcoin has it its saturation. I would opt for XRP aka Ripple instead of any other currency. There are so many good things happening and just last month a big investment came in which skyrocketed the price. But its like penny stocks right now and should continue growing.

LTC is also another decent option.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Directbet.eu - what seems to be the reason for the site closure? on: May 26, 2017, 08:41:43 AM
It's mostly because of huge loses. Now everyone says and thinks that gambling is a really profitable business for the owner and indeed it profitable but sports betting doesn't depend much on luck when compared with other sites and nowadays we see so many people predicting and most of those end up winning. At least they didn't scam anyone and made a public announcement before closure

Like I said before its likely not the fees because other sites have started charging players the fees, so that is not the reason.

I have a feeling they are rooting for a healthy retirement. I won't be surprised if they made over 2000-3000 btc over this entire ordeal. After all they have been here a long time.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 24, 2017, 09:00:35 PM
What is happening ? Coinbase just upped their transaction fees to 0.0008 BTC which makes it now at 2$. How are we supposed to pay such a high fees only to use a small amount of bitcoin ? Is there anything in the future except for price falling that will be done to reverse this ?
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How darknet drug-dealers keep their privacy ? on: May 22, 2017, 06:34:20 PM
There are a lot of courier pickup centers where the camera facility is not available. The drug dealers are not retards. They know the exact locations of these centers where there is no camera coverage.

I bet to differ. If they weren't so stupid they would just get an education and start a normal career but instead they decided to pedal drugs. They're the dumbest people in society.

If you are an educated person, let me ask you if you make a million dollars an year ?

A lot of them do. Is that being stupid ? Its just bread and butter and some people do not wish to settle for less. They know the risks and rewards, and are willing to take the risk for a better payout.

I believe a lot of them also have an inside man on the courier companies to have things delivered.
159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Best and most Trustworthy Platform to Short bitcoin ? on: May 22, 2017, 06:09:33 PM
As the title says. I am looking for the Best and most Trustworthy Platform to Short bitcoin. Country is not a big issue. States will be fine. Just don't want to hand over my money to an untrustworthy exchange because I expect to hold my short for a long time.

160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you risk 10 BTC at 80% to get a 1.2x payout? on: May 22, 2017, 05:56:08 PM
Why bother asking this question ? Since we can change odds on dice, I am sure if anyone wanted to make that risky bet, they would already have done it. At the end it depends on the person, if they have the money and can risk losing it. Getting feedback from people on this thread achieves nothing.
