Did you actually read the opposition to the sale and listened to what the judge said during the hearing before writing that post? If not, please do.

Are you familiar with the expression tilting at windmills?
No, but I can imagine it's meaning. I don't care if I become as mad as Don Quixote. He was an interesting guy, and Pirateat40 agrees that you shouldn't fuck with the community too much.
143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 14, 2014, 04:59:32 PM
We won't get our money back. Get over it. It's that f*cking simple. Period . Just leave it... :-)
You are the one doing a disservice now.

We will fight tooth and nail until when we get our money back or the responsible are in prison. Hopefully both.

If they had accepted USD refunds they would basically have only given up their BTC claims. I personally never received an USD refund check. Remember that HF had yet to finish refunding USD batch 1 customers when they they entered into bankruptcy. Batch 1 was like 14% of their total sales.

The problem was HF and the money they have pocketed; as jimmothy remembers, if HF was another company (let it be KNC or CT) they would have never spent 20M without delivering shit. HF was incredibly able to do so.

If you take my grandmother and ask her to run the same company, you won't be able to duplicate this incredibly ugly result. Not even in a hundred times.

So, from now on:

145  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 14, 2014, 09:21:51 AM
By that logic they didn't "need" any Pre-orders at all.
That logic isn't flawed. Your post is. (VC capital, 10% != 100%).

what happens with the frozen BTC of HF. are they still there on an address?
HF claims to have something like 5 BTC total.
146  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 14, 2014, 08:52:17 AM
Many people tried their best to explain this before it was too late, but we were drowned out by the shrieking of trolls like yourself and the rest of your Free Stuff Army.   Roll Eyes

If HashFast doesn't ship anything this year, apart from Christmas cards, I get a full refund.  In BTC.

Given the coins have appreciated 300% vs fiat since I spent them, I'm fine with that.

I nominate this for the quote of the year prize. (prize = paying trollers to troll you).

I call them trollers while a more fitting definition would be people employed with the sole goal of deceiving a community in order to get cash in form of preorders to be recycled and end up in their personal pockets.

Is this what you're looking for?: http://hashfast.org/071514.2.pdf
No, that's for the next gen IP, but thank you for your efforts Wink
148  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 13, 2014, 11:13:04 PM
Bruno, did you find any information about how much HF paid to Uniquify? I'm quite sure to have read it somewhere, probably in the examinations, but I don't remember where exactly. It's something that has been bothering me for a while.
149  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 08:21:56 PM
Have you included the PCB design too?
That's only the imaginary chips IP cost. PCB design costs are way, way lower. If you released the chip specs under public domain on tapeout's day you would probably get a few independent community designs + the ones you paid for ready for when you have the chips in hand.
150  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 07:37:13 PM
Are their any details on the next gen IP?  I would think it would have to be 16nm or 14nm and be in the sub 0.10 J/GH to stay competitive.  The real question is how much additional work/money is needed to make this a working chip.
If I remember correctly HF paid more than one million in development costs* so far for the next gen ip (from the schedules/343 examinations) (that should be 16nm since that tsmc does 16nm) and they needed around another million to get it to the tapeout stage.
The actual tapeout should cost around 4x the 28nm one, not something easily affordable, especially since that no sane individual will invest in this market at those conditions.

*money that would (should) have otherwise resulted in more system shipped. Like 1.5M/$300 = 5000 boards. Because using money you don't have in shit you won't need is cool.

Btw, I would like to know more about Ralph's involvement with HF. Did I really pay that idiot to troll me?
151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 03:37:38 PM
im amazed that the motion got denied?  ya there was no mismanagement? but everyone got raises when they failed their obligation to their customers... and hashfast LLC that holds the IP to avoid force liquidation or to hide money from there creditors... WTF is going with these layers?
The trustee motion was denied because the committee already put a CRO in charge at the company. He should have almost complete powers, a trustee would have been more expensive and probably less familiar with the hf/bitcoin mess.
The other motion got instead approved, and that was the one allowing a "substantive consolidation" between HF California and HF Delaware (so that creditors can now sell their vague next gen ip, for whatever is worth).
152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 08:06:16 AM
Translation:

We knew that legally we will get away with our lies about full BTC refunds
No, they simply had a plan and methodically followed it. The plan included bankrupting the company, so what's the problem with promising BTC refunds? That, the MPP (don't forget the MPP change from chips only to whole boards), "In Stock" units, a shipping date promised for when the wafers weren't even out of the fab, "everything still on track" until 3 days before the shipping date to get more sales (whey only a "critical component" was delayed, but everything else was "in schedule, or ahead of schedule" (Barber's words))...

The only thing they didn't expected was the involuntary bankruptcy petition. They would be still there trying to ship batch 2.5 (minus "big orders", that could get chips not worth their manufacturing costs) elsewise.

I and countless others ordered only because of their infinite promises... So the question is, what did they made this show for, if Barber claims not have the money needed for his families expenses?
153  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: September 11, 2014, 05:06:38 PM
I can totally see them justifying their posts saying that HF_CL was hacked long ago and that they never had control over it for like... the last 9 months.
154  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: September 11, 2014, 04:09:30 PM
they are obligated to give full btc refunds because it was specifically stated in the ToS and also confirmed in an email to support staff.

in nearly every US state, the remedy for a violation of a contractual duty to deliver a fungible good is the market value of that good at breach, and unless the parties agree and execute otherwise, that remedy is in legal tender.

If HF_CL fails at calming down the community newly created accounts of people knowing the law better than our lawyers arrive to the rescue.

Hi cedivad!

It turns out that Clobered09 and I did know better than your crummy, impotent, and now long-gone lawyer.  Don't try to argue with me about legal stuff, because you will lose no matter how much money you waste on attorney fees.   Smiley

I'd like to thank you, gmaxwell, Phinneaus, and everyone else who loudly and publicly eschewed the opportunity to cash 105% refund checks in the lulzy, but futile, hope a judge would order HF to give you all 600% windfalls (plus court costs).

You guys really set a great example and provided some stellar advice!

Every remaining penny of those refused refund checks is now eligible to help pay for my order's unfulfilled MPP.  Isn't that super?   Grin

Aren't you too busy satisfying your fiduciary duties to the creditors to troll?

Like suppliers? I think so?

Anyone know how the hearing went today?
I got the date wrong, it's tomorrow, Wednesday. Sorry.

I shoulda taken their 40k offer in feb.
Did they offer you more than the USD purchase price?

But this being a chapter 11, if you don't disagree with how the debtor filed your claim, there is no need to file a proof of claim. Again, if I'm wrong, please correct me.
