Plan B
As you are all aware we broke many world records in releasing the 28nm chip in such a short amount of time. We are a very ambitious company but even for us, to go “all in” and not be able to deliver on our performance targets, like our competition, would be completely unacceptable to us as a company and everything we stand for. So today we are introducing, Plan B.

To make sure that everyone who has paid for their Neptune we are building a data centre like no other. It is located in the north of Sweden not far from Facebook and other Mega Data Centres and it’s totally powered by renewable energy.

Over the next few months we are bringing online enough hashing power to make sure that any delay in the Neptune timeline will be compensated with a completely free hosted hashing packages to all fully paid customers.

In the addition to this commitment, as part of Plan B, for all Neptune customers, we will be offering a free conversion to a hosted hashing package where we will simply fill your wallets directly and you won’t have to worry about anything else. All the other costs taken care of by us. We are able to do this by using our 28nm chips which is why all products that we have coming out of our factory in the next few months will go into building and supplying the Plan B facility.

If, during the course of development of Neptune, there is any threat to the timelines for delivery, those delays will not result in the loss of any mining time for our Neptune customers. We will release more details of this as we get closer to the delivery date, but for now we have one of the world’s largest data centres to build.

Thanks
KnCMiner Team

A lawyer can do that for you, in a legal and proper manner.
1043  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: February 03, 2014, 09:57:39 PM
I thought that CH was in Iceland... Is there a graph with their HR speaking supporting what you said at least?
1044  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: February 03, 2014, 09:00:23 PM
At this point i'm only wondering if they will update us before or after starting sales again. (and what's the end that the "4 announcement for the new years" did? Eaten by Ettinger?)
1045  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: February 03, 2014, 07:49:41 PM
I missed this ... (i don't really care about competitors' twitter feeds)

@ BTC Miami, i guess.
1046  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: February 03, 2014, 06:52:16 PM
IIRC it was made well before B2 orders opened.
It should have been made before batch 1 went public/retail.

All customers who ordered for the December deadline, now known as “batch 1”, have now got their kit, with the original January (batch 2) customers receiving their gear over the next couple of weeks. Customers who ordered boxes for February and beyond should get the miners on time.

This is completely false. I still have a December order, and have absolutely not received it (really, the datacenter hasn't received it - it isn't going to my house), nor have a received a tracking number or anything like that.

So CT is starting to throw BS out to the media, as HF has been doing for months. I say to the media because it's an interesting way of creating confusion and/or not releasing any official statement.

Yes, that's certainly the right way to become the Intel of Bitcoin.

[loss of faith in this company completed]

1049  Local / Progetti / Re: [IPO] BitBoat on: February 02, 2014, 01:11:45 PM
scusate ma che regola e' ?
Diciamo che quantomeno i vari detrattori avranno poco da detrarre.

(mia occasione per sottoscrivermi al thread, sono vecchio e non uso la watchlist)
1050  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: February 01, 2014, 09:36:37 PM
Since that the thread is almost dead i have a little question to throw around...
What % of batch 2 hasn't received a shipping notification?

Dare i guess... 50%?

I just wanted to say that you have been negotiating with HashFast until October. Now, i don't have a dime in this security, but i would be wondering what those long discussions have been about during this 100 days.

Looking forward for when you will finally be able to release some details of the agreement you seem to be going to sign with HF.

(but i don't have a lot of hope on it either)
1052  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 31, 2014, 10:00:19 AM
the HFB comes with a one page manual "Welcome to your new Baby Jet" and a 3 (three) page "Cover our ass Limited Hardware Warranties" stating you are SOL when the hardware does not work as it's always your fault when it breaks.
Now, this is funny.

It's clear the lawyer has completely taken over any common sense
Looks like so... Btw, have anyone ever noticed that one of the business address we have of HF is exactly the same as the lawyers' business address?

Just connect a standard computer to it and start mining asap, fubly. Buy a rpi or a beaglebone on Amazon in the meanwhile.
It's interesting that you didn't have to pay any taxes, and it also happened to me with fedex several times. I've never understood the reasoning behind it.
1054  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 30, 2014, 11:51:29 AM
This post is to tell HF that a shiny new design that freezes on half of the computers it's displayed won't help with their sales.

The BFL pre-orders were supposed to ship before you could even put any money down on Avalon.
You are right. And it's incredible how things on how customers accepting to be screwed are actually changing, starting from HashFast. It should have happened a year ago, but latter is better than never.
1055  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 30, 2014, 01:22:25 AM
The only reason I even put money down on BFL was because for nearly a year they were the only bitcoin ASIC manufacturer with anything public you could put money down on.
BFL's ASIC was announced summer 2012. Avalon's ASIC September 2012.
Am i wrong?
1056  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 28, 2014, 06:30:06 PM
Anyway shipments froze? Any batch 2 customers yet?
1057  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: January 28, 2014, 06:10:29 PM
CT and HF (and who else? KNC batch 3?) shipping at the same time... It's gonna be interesting.
1058  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 28, 2014, 06:05:50 PM
I see and read on their TOS about batch 3 -->

Guaranteed Product Delivery Dates – Batch 3.  The “Batch 3 Guaranteed Delivery Date” for units of Product from Hashfast’s third production batch is:  March 31, 2014.  The order confirmation sent by Hashfast to Buyer may state an earlier delivery date for that order.  Buyer may cancel the portion of the order that remains undelivered by Hashfast by the Batch 3 Guaranteed Delivery Date (or other delivery date stated in Buyer’s order) at Buyer’s request, and Hashfast will refund the payment for such cancelled units.

What about "The order confirmation sent by Hashfast to Buyer may state an earlier delivery date for that order.  "

Does it make sence, have order 1x sierra and 1 babyjet. both was ancitipate shipping mid-late January... not as garanteed?? I mean??? let me know. I have seen in my order delivery is mid-late jan, do they mean about that ?

It was added in the 25 of November version.

I think 220-240 is the way to go, hassle as a rewire is needed but will use less power over time.
?

P = I^2 * R?

Technically correct, actually irrelevant.
1060  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 28, 2014, 01:24:40 AM
Maybe it sounds pretty bad, but it actually isn't Wink
Accepting delivery with an undefined MPP deadline means losing 90%, maybe 80% if they ship it "promptly" (as someone suggested, when the difficulty has increased 400%).

It's not a nightmare, it's actually an interesting situation...  Shocked
