And it's less than 1%?
1102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 09:55:55 PM
So they shipped 500 units and we have 5 reports?

I'll answer these questions the best I can...

Within this group I don't care about my address. If you want to post the pictures outside of this Google Group, go ahead but please blur the address.

The only warning I got was someone from Hash Fast called to verify my shipping address the night before (last night). Other than that, no communication.

I say that, and then literally just now get a call from San Fran. Letting me know the Baby Jet shipped. I guess it got here ahead of schedule...

As for the order of shipping, something that might have to do with it is a Tweet I sent to @amywoodward, who I believe is their marketing VP. It wasn't a mean tweet or anything, it simply said "any shipping updates? Company has been silent for a half a month..." I did not get a Tweet back, but think about it. At this point they might have a bunch of these ready to go but not shipped. A customer sends a Tweet that basically says, "look I'm not suing you but where's my Baby Jet?" To keep me happy maybe they moved me up in line? It's a possibility, and I recommend sending a similar Tweet out if you want your miner quickly.

I don't know guys. I'm not currently a fan of the CEO, but otherwise the company (startup) really feels like it's just disorganized at the moment and obviously in PR mode. I just wish they'd be more transparent. I'm not even mad that they are this late, but to continue taking orders and marketing like things will ship on time when they haven't... meh. "The Other Mining Company" was much later than this, that's not my beef. Then again, this is a hobby for me, not an investment. Mining hasn't been a good investment for a long, long time...

As for performance, it's holding steady at 423 GH/s, standard clock speed.
1104  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 08:30:16 PM
I asked to the guy to share it here but he has yet to reply.
1105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 08:10:01 PM
Actually i don't know. If you take a look at the order chain you see that there are some batch 1 orders marked as backorders. So it should be batch 1.
1106  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 08:00:01 PM
And there is a second BJ in the wild, directly from the "private" mailing list... The owner says that it was a backorder of the first batch and that HF called him yesterday to confirm his address before shipping.

So... We got one of the first orders of the batch delivered and one of the backorders of the batch delivered as well? Everyone else in the middle asked for a refund?
1107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 06:22:47 PM
You don't read the news? It's our fault. We tend to carefully read their updates. "To the point of reducing them to silence."
1108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 05:21:01 PM
BFL never promised the same things HF did. If you go on their webshop right now they are really clear that you are ordering a product that could ship or maybe not. Even if it is "in stock".
Avalon was a chinese company, and they gave at least the BTC back to a good share of customers. Yes, some got screwed.

HF promised the world and people like me bought only for those promises. So i would say that we will really come out "on the top" of this.
1109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 05:09:53 PM
I've hashed it and i will release the file once that this is all over so that you will either be surprised or have a good laugh at me Wink
What is your definition of this being "all over?"
My money back, a correct compensation, or a penal proceeding starting against them as individuals.

I wanted to share a thing. I think that i should stop researching after this and simply leave the lawyer do the dirty job. I'm reaching the limit between devotion and craziness.

It's from when they released the first pictures of the sierra that i kept wondering why the hell one would do such an asymmetric design (3 boards instead of 4). It simply never made sense. Apart from the cooling, it never made sense.

Another thing that never made sense? The previous design of the Sierra, the 2U version. Who would be crazy to the point of fitting 2kW in a 2U unit? It never made sense as well, and when i met John @ Amsterdam he was talking about how server PSUs are too expensive and that that was the reason why they moved to a 4U unit, to use consumer grade PSUs. Well, no, that was not the reason.

Now everything makes sense.

Still waiting for your next move or lack of, HF.

That makes a lot of sense. Waiting for overclock reports, i guess? Just publish the ssh port here and we promise that we won't burn your house down Smiley

Well, that's quite of a straight line... Thanks for sharing...

400 GH conflicts with the other "report", we will see what they are shipping... My guess is that you could possibly have received an older revision of the board? Just a guess, anyway.

It's not a stupid mistake at all, the check was accompanied with a letter that said that the included check was a follow up of their email sent "day hour minute second" (even if it being a mass email it probably went out during different seconds).
So if you cashed that check you agreed to the terms of that email.

Is it 400 GH or 550 GH?

Because you say 400 GH stable, the pool in the last second of the last video 550 GH.
1116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 09:02:56 AM
Anyway the news we got from todays' shipping is that they are not shipping the MPP along with the order.
1117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 08:53:55 AM
I guess that "everyone" received this:

Quote
Dear Davide,

We wanted to confirm with you that you received the refund check that we sent you last week.  If you did not receive it, please let me know at your earliest opportunity at [refunds@hashfast.com].  If you believe you received a refund check in error, please contact us and do not cash it.

We have been asked by a few refund check recipients if they will receive additional amounts.  To be clear, please take notice: THE CHECK YOU RECEIVED CONSTITUTES PAYMENT IN FULL AND FINAL SATISFACTION OF ALL OBLIGATIONS OF HASHFAST TO YOU.  CASHING OR OTHERWISE OBTAINING PAYMENT OF THIS CHECK WILL CONSTITUTE AN AGREEMENT ON YOUR PART THAT HASHFAST HAS SATISFIED ALL OF ITS OBLIGATIONS TO YOU, AND WILL CONSTITUTE A WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL FURTHER CLAIMS THAT YOU HAVE OR MAY HAVE AGAINST HASHFAST, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIM THAT HASHFAST OWES YOU A GREATER REFUND, A DIFFERENT REFUND, AND/OR ANY OTHER AMOUNTS, WHETHER DUE BECAUSE OF SHIPPING DELAYS, EXCHANGE RATES, OR FOR ANY OTHER REASON.

Thank you,

Customer Support

If you really wanted to get your money back, surely you have better things to do than this?
No, because it being 3 months that i'm getting ready for this everything is already accounted for.
1119  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 12:23:32 AM
Well... Apart from linguistic differences and other details... That's exactly the point. It's summer in the southern hemisphere, winter in the boreal one.

I guess that this goes in the list right after "several".
