141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COCOS WILL BE RICH? on: January 05, 2020, 12:01:21 PM

It's pointless to just look at the wall! Walls may change.

We need to examine it in detail.  Huh

It is true that walls may change and currently there is some strong buy wall at 8 sats and 7 sats probably project owner buy support so that price won't crash but it was even out with the sell wall.  I do not think price will go up soon because there are also heavy resistance on the selling side.  Even if the support on buy wall will aggressively buy, it won't go up that much but instead would easily goes down because there will be no buy support once it was done.

we can think of the opposite. sales walls can be lifted, maybe the project has increased the sales wall. sales walls are reduced and the pump comes. can't?

That is quite true but the looks of the trading platform today, it seems the support at 8 sats had been lifted and moved to 7 sats making the sell wall at 8 sats.  You are currently at a lost of 24% now.  I wonder what you are thinking now.

143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: January 04, 2020, 10:01:42 AM
The attached picture in this thread is enough to say how a whitepaper does matter in a crypto project. Don't trust any new ICO whitepaper's words, you can get those quality whitepapers only by spending 50-60$ in Fiverr! So, the whitepaper is nothing nowadays, ICO projects lost their potential, popularity long ago! No one believes those words in the whitepaper.

The thing is, aside from whitepaper, we should check the team component.  They are the people behind this project and the one that will make the whitepaper into reality.  Whitepaper is important but the ability and capability of the project developer is way more important than that.  They can present us with a perfect whitepaper but team composition will never lie on how they will deliver the product.  So I think this two. whitepaper and team composition should be thoroughly checked.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto history making year 2020 started it's journey ! on: January 04, 2020, 09:07:09 AM

This is cryptocurrency which is an investor's first choice, an easier way for transaction, a digital currency, A thing which is secure. We are known about cryptocurrency in 2009, when pseudonymous developer Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin. Then it started an endless journey. from the opening to now everyday crypto offers a new magical day. This offers new hope to us, such hope is different from others.

Now This is 2020. A year of double blessing, year of great turnaround, year of restoration, year of thanksgiving. I hope cryptocurrency will make a different history in this year- history of it's turnaround, history of investor's smile, history of succeed.

   Happy 2020!

I hope too, that cryptocurrency will recover from all this bloodbath.   Many investors had lost a lot of money from this bear season.  Imagine more than 90% loss from 2017-2018 price.  I do hope that this Bitcoin halving will enable Bitcoin to rally so that altcoins will follow.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fail if Satoshi is found? on: January 04, 2020, 08:21:49 AM
It's now 10 years since Bitcoin was created, yet many people are wondering who Satoshi Nakamoto might be. It's still today, where the creator of Bitcoin has hidden his/her identity well from the general public. All attempts in finding who created the world's most popular cryptocurrency have failed so far. But we all know that there's no such thing as 100% anonymity. A slight error in covering tracks, could expose your identity within the mainstream world.

Now, imagine if the real Satoshi's identity is found. If he/she is still alive, governments would be on his/her tail to put him/her in jail or even pay a hefty sum of taxes. Once this happens, Bitcoin might fail within the mainstream world. Of course, the community is what makes Bitcoin great. But I'm sure that the reveal of Satoshi's identity will have an influence (either positive or negative) over the cryptocurrency's price and reputation worldwide.

What are the odds of Bitcoin's survival once Satoshi is found? Will it continue to operate as is? Or will it fail in the long run? Huh

I think finding Satoshi will not contribute to the failure of Bitcoin.  It can spark a great motivation to the community thus attracting more people to adopt Bitcoin.  Whether he will be jailed or not, we can remove the fact that he is the creator of Bitcoin.  His presence will be influential inside or outside the jail.
And how can it happen? I can't really imagine or there is no actual reason for it to attract people to adopt bitcoin.
There is also no reason for him to be thrown in jail, creating crypto is not a crime, there are other developers out there created more than one crypto who's name is being broadcast but they are not thrown in jail.

Fixed some critical error on my reply, "we can not remove the fact.."  I am telling about the worst case scenario if ever government exercise their being unjust  to make sure to have control over things and disheartened decentralized believer like us.
It can due to the hype if ever satoshi is found.   If you remember the bullish trend of crypto way back 2017, it is the strong hype that attracts lots of investors during those time, and think if Satoshi will be found, isn't the news about it everywhere?  Togther with it is the idea and propagation of Bitcoin thus creating hype to the audience.

It is quite frightening to use browser add-ons.  We should not add anything unless it is fully verified.  And even if it is, we should still be careful about updates.  I have read lots of attacks that uses browser add-ons that is why I avoided it as much as possible.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profit matters most in crypto currency on: January 03, 2020, 03:04:16 PM
I looking a like point crypto currency also risk and if you want profits always in crypto it's not possible because lot of smart people do not tell you surely profit chance. Bank good safety for save your money with they give you lower profits so crypto would like huge profitable chance if you can understand mainly.

Then if you want to have profits out wit them.  Make yourself smarter.  You did not make profit because of your point of view.  You think there is no or impossible to get profit so that is what happen to you.  If you happen to take advantage of the cryptomarket volatility then you can have yourself a profit.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright claims , today will be the last day for Bitcoins. on: January 03, 2020, 02:30:41 PM
Once a shit, always a shit and he will be a shit forever.

To be honest, I didn't believe into anything he said from the start. I know already that he is a shit and what he are saying are pure shit. The problem right now is since there are new investors in the market right now, he is gaining popularity and trying to hypnotize those new investors until the time will come that they will believe him Sad.

That's quite harsh, he has achieve more than what we achieved, he maybe an attention whore, but we should not talk bad about people just to make ourselves look good.  If we are not fond of others we can just ignore them.  CW is already on my ignore list until he had proven that he is satoshi or admit that he is lying.  This statement about Bitcoin is just one of his plot so people will talk about him and he is quite successful.
150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Big invest in bitcoin on: January 03, 2020, 01:50:56 PM
I want to big invest in bitcoin. But I want to know your opinion. Is my invest will profitable at this time?
Short term investment or long term investment will best for me?
I saw bitcoin market price is some cheap at this time. So I can decide to bitcoin invest?

If you have considered all the possibilities and think that investing in Bitcoin will bring you profit then I think it is fine to do it.  Just make sure you are in for a long hold since Bitcoin price sometimes crash then recover.  Aim your target selling point and when bitcoin price hit it, sell with no regret, do not be too greedy.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Bet Bitcoin Reaches $10k In the Next 5-7 Days! on: January 03, 2020, 11:36:00 AM
Anyone wants to take me on a bet Bitcoin price reaches $10,000+ in 5-7 days? After the bitcoin's record breaking network hash rate news come out, BTC lost $300+ (traded below $7k), then gain $500+ within hours.

It would be great but I highly doubt that Bitcoin will reach $10k in 5 - 7 days.  Fundamentally, BTC price increase because of certain major events such as a huge institution adopting it, and I have not read any news like that.  If it goes up to $10k in that span of time, I would be very careful because it might be a bull trap.
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good sign for market on: January 02, 2020, 01:05:57 PM
For the past four years we have witnessed a massive drop starting from last week of December when it comes to the price of bitcoin but this year it was not the same case, does that mean that we have good days ahead? because even during 2017 bull run it started in November and lasted till the beginning of 4th-week of December then the price started to drop.

I think this is a good sign for bitcoin.

I hope it is really a good sign ahead but we are really uncertain of the future market of cryptocurrency.  Though we can see a strong support on Bitcoin and a partial increase on it several times only to end being dump at the end.  Let us be warry of Bull trap to avoid a certain lose of our investment.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin experience in 2019 on: January 02, 2020, 12:55:23 PM
You looked forward to a 100k bitcoin in 2020(the start of 2020 I assume), and now you're looking forward to a 1 million bitcoin price prediction, and also now hoping for a price increase in the halving. If you actually really think of bitcoin as a good investment, you need to think more long term.

Not sure about you, but I'd personally prefer a slooow but steady uptrend as time goes, rather than a huge ass bubbly price spike. Remember what happened after the peak of December 2017? Yea, I wouldn't want that.

I agree with the idea of slow and steady growth.  But sometimes a spike in price is a bliss if we timed it right because when it plummet, we can acquire more BTC to wait for another spike sell and buy at the bottom.  Rinse and repeat until such time we can acquire enough to sustain our next generations.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stats to kickoff 2020 on: January 02, 2020, 12:19:04 PM
- Around 30,000-60,000 people with more than $1 million worth of bitcoins
Really? How do you determine this? Is it assuming one address = one person?

Another exciting stats is Bitcoin is just about 132 days away from the next halving! This year and the next should be really interesting for crypto space.

That is very interesting information for me to. I wonder where this data about Bitcoin users come from. It's well known fact that the number of Bitcoin users is very hard to determine and the number of Bitcoin addresses definetely can't be criteria. So, every data about users I found so far is based on very rough estimation and exact number can't be determined.

Indeed that catches my attention too.  It would be best if OP provided some links to back up his claims.  I think this one is a poorly estimated data because no one will really ever know how many wallet address an individual is holding.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 - Set your Target and Make your Plans on: January 02, 2020, 11:53:52 AM
As far as I know the year 2017-2018 is way harder than the current year to own BTC.  Mining reward maybe halved soon but the price to get 1 whole BTC is cheaper than those stated years.  So as far as logic is concern, I do not think that getting a whole BTC is harder than before.  Though, it would be a good step to plan to own a whole of BTC if we don't have it yet.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 will be a material year for crypto. What do you think? on: January 02, 2020, 11:40:44 AM
This 2020 New year wale show some biggest potential investors towards this cryptocurrency and we need to have the investment from big giants to boom in the marketplace.
But this year halving might giving best resolution for every people who believe that Bitcoin and alts.
There are no new investors for awhile like how Bakkt happens but halving might give a different effect and we hope it will be really a great year to improve and to have again new investors that will reinvest in this too volatile market of ours. May this new decade will be filled of hope to gain even we are starting from bear market. Let's hope New projects will really be focus on the improving their products.

I think there is some but not that huge enough to move the market upward.  Now we are looking forward for halving that it may give a good hype and cater more interested new comers to Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is still a speculative asset so price increase is all depend on how strong the hype created by the halving is.

In due time, I believe Bitcoin will be known for its use case and being a currency rather than a speculative asset, and 2020 would be a good year for that.
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin on: January 01, 2020, 06:15:56 AM
Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme.

Its value may be determined according to the greater fool theory but it's definitely not a Ponzi scheme

Well, that actually depends on your point of view

If we assume that the defining criterion of a Ponzi scheme is paying profits to earlier investors with the funds obtained from more recent investors (as per Wikipedia, no plagiarism intended), Bitcoin fits this definition pretty well, at least as far as its speculative part is concerned (which is the best part of it anyway). You can only earn dough by buying coins at a lower price and then dumping them on someone else at a higher price

Isn't that the rule in getting profit on trading?  Buying at a lower price and selling at a higher price?  If bitcoin falls into that, pretty much all of things that is sold in the market  falls under it.  Like gold, silver etc.
158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin support levels on: January 01, 2020, 05:15:32 AM
not long ago the price of bitcoin fell below $ 6400 and the price went up again, it seems like buying support at that price is very strong so it is not easily penetrated let alone go down below it too long, in my opinion at this time is the right time to trade, soon we welcome the year 2020 hopefully it will be even better

We hope that Bitcoin market is better but it seems Bitcoin downtrend will continue.  Analyst may say that Bitcoin may rally because of some divergence forming but the fact that the chart looks like the downtrend will continue still remain.  I think for now we should be happy that Bitcoin is going sideways.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down... on: January 01, 2020, 04:43:36 AM
People over speculate the halvening, thats what tends to happen.

I'd say this over speculation goes in both directions. For every person who expects the halving to catalyze a bull run, another person (or maybe 2) claims it's already priced in and that this time will be different.

Personally, I think halvings are just "buy the rumor, sell the news" events taking place along a long term bullish trajectory.
I think the same way. In this market there is a rule that is "buying rumors, selling news" ... this rule is always true in this market and so I also predict that the price of bitcoin will rise in the months before BTC halving, but then the price will fall. It will be similar to the situation of LTC in 2019. So we should not be too optimistic and believe in the bull market in 2020.

True that we can see it on the history of Bitcoin price during the halving.  Price goes up months before the halving and goes down after it, then comes the bullish trend of breaking ATH because the effect of the halving is felt by the market.  Remember reduced supply and increased demand will always result in price increase and LTC case is a bit different because I believe there is no increase in demand in there, just hype.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong Police Freeze $10M Fund for Protesters - Bitcoin Becomes Attractive on: January 01, 2020, 04:27:33 AM
I don't know what Bitcoin is going to gain from all this. China is one of the most important markets for Bitcoin, and the number of users there is approx. 100 times higher than what we have in Hong Kong. I am not taking any sides here... the ongoing demonstrations and riots represent an issue for the Chinese government with the pro-democracy protesters on the other side. Bitcoiners should remain neutral.

What gain?  Of course it is the people's sentiment.  Once they hated the present bank system they will look for alternatives and Bitcoin is one of those.  Having their own fund in their own wallet is always beautiful.  Remember a long exploration always starts with first step and this one I think is another one step forward Bitcoin adoption.
