You only need to compare the activity levels of this forum on a weekday and weekend to see that people only play with bitcoins while at work

I was just skimming through very old threads, its amazing how people used to talk about 100-1000btc (or more), like it was nothing. I hope for their sake they held on.
Hopefully in two years they'll say the same about "people who own 1 or more bitcoin" Those with patience will be rewarded, but this next bubble seems to be taking forever to arrive

Compared to debit/credit cards, which take days for the money to transfer, bitcoin is much faster. With bitcoin the money is actually moving, not just being confirmed like old school payment methods.

https://apicoin.io has had this option for a while, as well as being the first api and currently only api that returns bits, mbits, and btcs. Yup APIcoin have been way ahead of the game with this. My agency is really happy to be working with them

Where does this traffic come from?

Nice idea! I found that the banners do not work if you try and open the link in a new tab.
I also think the advertising claims should be checked, such as the '$200 doge every hour' banner

Coin Fire is growing significantly faster than I had initially expected when I started this site.
I’ve been not only writing Bitcoin faucet reviews, writing about the latest news in Bitcoin and trying to get the site in order but I’ve been thinking about allowing some contributors and guest posts from others on Coin Fire.
Several people have sent messages of support and thanking me for building such an awesome site and several others have offered wonderful suggestions and even others have been asking how they can contribute and help or write a feature for the site.
I’m excited to announce that I am ready to start accepting guest posts and contributions from regular contributors.
If you’ve got a knack for writing and are passionate about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and would love to see your name on a byline than this is an excellent opportunity. Each contributor will receive an advertisement in our advertising cycle, the ability to write about themselves in the box below the piece and the ability to solicit tips directly to a Bitcoin address that you own.
If you are interested in writing for Coin Fire please send me a private message. I'm excited to hear from you!
What do u mean by significant growth ? I just checked your alexa to be 3,152,618. I guess it is relative to each person but for me it has been exciting to go from only about 50 uniques a day visiting to about 2,000 uniques each day visiting. I would consider that I have grown it that much in just under three weeks as someone new to the community and new to writing to be significant. I apologize if I am wrong or am seen as "trolling". You are right that is great growth - well done

Sweet idea. Have you thought about allowing people to pay for promoted content?

Hey, My marketing agency and I could definitely help. We have just finished a very similar project to this as well. We are also on the look out for long-term partnerships. If you are interested please check out our site: http://www.bitnewt.com/Many thanks, Josh

Fiat currency is based on faith in the government issuing it. Cryptocurrency is based on an undeniable and unalterable mathematical certainty. Fiat is like religion... either you have faith or you don't. Currently the masses have faith. That may not always be the case. When faith fails the system collapses. Cryptocurrencies do not require either faith or a government, or for that matter the blessing of the Ludwig von Mises Institute.
Nicely put. But these organisations are made up of people that use currency, and bitcoin needs the faith of people

I said this sell off had bear trap written all over it!

Some of my friends who are interested in bitcoin can just about grasp the concept that bitcoin can be used for other things besides money. Not sure how many will believe this!
|
|
|
This is why you should ignore bears

Sums up my thoughts exactly. You should always explain to people that bitcoin is not a finished product when introducing it to them.
|
|
|
When someone is buying they buy at the cheapest available price for the desired quantity. The more buying that happens the fewer bitcoins remain at those cheaper prices, increasing the average price.

its a real pleasure buying things online with bitcoin feels much better than paying with visa.
Yup. Fiat is boring

Should I sell BTC before US auction of btc begins or should I hold ?
If in doubt hold. And I am not just being an uber-bull here. The general long-term direction of bitcoin is up. Holding is the default position to make money in such a market and you should only make buys and sells when you are confident enough to not ask forums.

see? the down trend just started $5xx $4xx $3xx I wouldn't get that hopefully just yet Yup. This basically what he is doing

Or just give him your bitcoins and survive the encounter. I would not want to anger someone who has broken into my home. Depends on whether you value money or your life more.
