1421  Other / Meta / Re: Trust not shown in Marketplace section of Local boards on: March 27, 2015, 03:26:50 AM
As announced the whole trust system appears by default in the marketplace section only. Although a user's profile can be opened anywhere to check their trust being able to see their general rating directly in the marketplace threads is quite useful.

However this is not shown in marketplace equivalents of some local boards, for example Spanish Mercadillo. Can this be added? Should this be asked here to global moderators or directly in the specific local board?

So Theymos said, he requires the local moderator's cooperation because translations need to be made. Its on the radar now.

Sure, I dont want to be your PR person (or even employed by you) but I'll pm you a list of things you can fix.

Women seem to stick together all the time - guys rarely do, and this is an example.

This person says "girls" do a better job then men, and she only wants to hire girls.

Why help her at all?  I say males should boycott the website.  But maybe that's just me overreacting.   Wink

I see it more as helping any unsuspecting sap who send them Bitcoins while not understanding how the games work due to the language barrier, which in this case is much stronger than SHA encryption.

Speaking of which, this is what I have so far, I got caught up on some of your math not coming up right, so going to need OP's input before I can fix any further. Here is what I've decyphered so far of your Info page.

Original:
Code:
Game Rules
Goal of the game

Win bitcoins by investing into the girl you love. And as she grows bigger than the other one by the end of the round. The more BTC the girl receives the bigger she will grow.
Rounds

The game consists of rounds. Each round runs for 6 hours, starting every day at 0:00 ,6:00,12:00,18:00   (GMT, Greenwich Mean Time)
Investing to Girl

In every round there are two girls--The office lady and The gorgeous girl. You can send any amount of bitcoins to an girl of your choice. You can do this as often as you like. There is no limit .

Until your payment is confirmed in the bitcoin network (included into a block with at least one confirmation), you can add the value to your girlbtc.com. we check it on blockchain.info automaticlly, It may take several minutes, sometimes up to one hour, to mark the transaction as confirmed. So to make sure you make the final push with enough bitcoin in hand, you should charge it as early as possible.
Winners

The girl with higher bitcoin balance at the end of the round wins. All players who invested into this girl will receive their investment back, plus the share of the other girl's bitcoins balance. This share is proportional according to each player’s bet.If the two girls are equal they will go back to your account except the fee.

Minimal accepted deposit is 0.001 BTC. and investment must be a multiple of 0.001btc. and max depends on your girl level and last bet, for details We also only send payouts higher than 0.001 BTC.
Fee

There is a fee charged to each bet you make. Fee is subtracted from the amount of bitcoins you send and the rest is added to the girl of your choice.

The fee rate is slowly raising as time is running. It always starts at 0% and raises up to 5% at the end of the round. In every hour we raise 1% fee to make the game more fairly.
Example

You send 1 BTC to the office lady. And the time is 1:08:53 a.m. (GMT)The fee rate is 1 % which means 0.01 BTC is deducted from your investment. The rest, 0.99 BTC, is added to the office lady's balance.

The round ends. The final bitcoin balance of the office lady is 6.5 BTC, whereas the gorgeous girl has only received 3.5 BTC in total. Congratulations, you get the girl! and we guess each side's fee is 0.05btc ,Your share is 1.00 / 6.5 = 15.15384615 % (your investment represents 15.15384615 % of girl's bitcoins). This means you have won 15.15384615 % of 3.45 BTC (The gorgeous girl's 3.5-0.05 BTC ), which is 0.52280769 BTC. And current jackpot for each valid round is 0.01btc which will rise as we make the game bigger. The share is 15.15384615%*0.01btc=0.00151538btc,And you receive your original investment back so the total amount you will be given is 0.52280769 + 0.99 + 0.00151538 =1.51432307;BTC.
max and time limitation

To make the game fairer and fairer we update the min and max limite. and each one with Little Girl title will start from 0.001btc to 0.005btc for the first bet, and then next bet's max is the previous 5 times. and at the last ten minutes of the round, if you never push bet in this round before ,you don't have chance to make the bet this round ,you must wait for 10 minutes for the next one

there are four levels in girlbtc.com

    0: Little Girl-----(total bet amount less than 10btcs). nomal first bet range 0.001-0.005btc;duration between two bets 300s;
    1:Smart Girl -----(10btcs -   100btcs ) ,and normal first bet range 0.001-0.050btc;duration between two bets 180s;
    2:Clever Girl-----(100btcs - 1000 btcs) ,and normal first bet range 0.001-0.500btc;duration between two bets 60s;
    3:Bright Girl-----(more than 1000btcs ) ,and normal first bet range 0.001-5.000btc;duration between two bets 10s;

oneVSone rules

oneVSone is human based game and whenever there are player, you can play with him worldwide.
there are three animals ,elephant, tiger, mouse. elephant eat tiger, tiger eat mouse, mouse eat elephant
STEP ONE:you can start a round by two ways:
1.self hash, you hash your bet info on your own side with SHA256,and there are lots of third part tools to help you ,just google it.your self hash original info must contain the bet type and the amount your bet. the amount min 0.001btc and must multiple the min amount.
2.server hash, you choose the type and the amount on the site and the server will hash the original info for you.
STEP TWO:your opening is showing on the list below, so everyone can come and challenge you, including yourself
STEP THREE:when you get challenged
if you start hash with your own side, you need to submit your original info.if you forget upload your info 24hours after someone challenge you.you will get a negative trust.and if you forget the original info, you lose. and your trust is depends on your avarage upload time after been challeged
if you start hash by server. the round is finished by the time it is challenged. and the original info will be shown for you to verify the fairness.
Add model , when you challengeing some one with this model you can add amount of your btcs ,and each one has 60s for decision, this make the game more interesting. However we only give you fair games ,and we are make great effort to make the btc world more and more beautiful.

I had to stop at the Example section, as I hit two parts I didn't understand. So first, you said 1-5% fees depending on the time of your bet are collected only when you bet. Makes sense. Then I've bolded, you take a 0.05BTC fee out where is that coming from? Is that an additional flat rate? And if that is the case, then you are calculating the % that you win based on preliminary factors. So rather than 1BTC/6.5BTC = 15% wouldn't it be 6.45BTC/1 BTC = 15%ish? And in addition to that, if the 1% fee is taken from the 1 BTC bet, wouldn't the bet be 0.99BTC rather than 1BTC? So I think what you actually meant to use is 0.99BTC/6.45BTC  =15.3488% which is how much of the other girl's prize pool you win?

The share is 15.15384615%*0.01btc=0.00151538btc,And you receive your original investment back so the total amount you will be given is 0.52280769 + 0.99 + 0.00151538 =1.51432307;BTC.

wish you be a long term partner.

Hey you hired a 12 year old girl with poor English skills!  Congratulations!

Hehe, yeah sorry I couldn't help myself. I was trying to make a point but I was also laughing my ass off the entire way through this thread. Anyway, the point for the OP being, your job requirements are a little strange, and its a little bit more strange that you don't seem to care about those three requirements that you are looking for.

Female: Something you can't verify online, also why does it matter?
Good at english: Both candidates that you have offered the job to have displayed poor english skills
Careful: The main reason you are looking for a female employee supposedly. The first "female" candidate you offered the job to was either not female, or not "careful" because they had put male in their profile.

In my personal opinion, look for someone with english skills and a personality fit to talk to people over all else. Also, your site really needs some work to be understood by people who speak english. I have nothing but respect for people who learn languages and applaud you for trying to speak a language that isn't your first, but I'm just being honest so that you can better yourselves, your site has so many laughable errors you really need someone to help you with that.

1425  Other / Meta / Re: Woke up this morning... on: March 27, 2015, 01:23:25 AM
That's the main reason I don't have a paid signature.  It increases your probability of being banned significantly!

I dont think thats true. The signature does not the ban make, the post quality is what does it. The correlation is between signature advertisers and low post quality, not so much bans to signature advertisers. While having a big flashy advertisement does make your spam stick out more to moderators, if you aren't spamming then it doesn't matter.
1426  Other / Meta / Re: Woke up this morning... on: March 27, 2015, 12:47:40 AM
Are you sure you don't want this in Meta? You can be banned for excessive bumping of a thread, as the rule is you may bump a thread every 24 hours, but if you mean you had old bumps deleted from a thread where you are the OP, you will never be banned for that. We just ask people to delete their old bumps to help declutter threads.

And excessive bumping isn't prosecuted as heavy handedly as spamming. Its annoying and against the rules, but you tend to get a verbal warning about it before any further action is taken.
1427  Other / Meta / Re: Trust not shown in Marketplace section of Local boards on: March 27, 2015, 12:34:08 AM
what bottles me that trust should only be left for transactions, members that been here a while abuse them to much.

off topic. Its probably more effective to leave your post in place so people don't go off track until the solution to the OP is found and we can lock the thread.

I'll ask Theymos tonight if no one else does before me.

1429  Other / Meta / Re: A more effective way to reduce signature spamming on: March 26, 2015, 11:43:05 PM
So when I bid in an auction rather than "I Bid 3BTC" would you prefer something like "Hey guys and gals I am wanting to make a bid on this amazing item. I think I will start my bidding at 3BTC and we will see how it goes. I am really excited to watch this auction, and will be bidding later" Somethings do not require any more than 2-3 words...
I feel that too. People now are being paranoid about 'length' of every post.  But you can be very descriptive with few words really... Quality response is not always long, but no all short messages are quality posts.
I fear this is highly subjective matter and it can;t be explained easily. Each case is different.

Yeah don't worry, we don't just check people's post histories and judge by that. We actually read the OP of a thread, posts already made in that thread, etc. There are a couple word phrases that sum up a constructive post, and there are paragraph long posts that just repeat what has already been said. Constructive post equates to new ideas or interpretations. If you just repeat the same thing that has already been said without giving it an interpretation of your own, that is still insubstantial. Its quite easy for us to see if its an occasional, "Ok that person was tired and didn't read the post above them" or if its something that has been done on their last 30 posts.

Thats one of the reasons paid advertising spam is so annoying to us, we don't just ban on a whim, there is a lot of time that goes into it. We have always had to contend with spammers/bots and the occasional person who needed a ban, but paid advertising spam has more than 10x increased our usual routine and is costing us a lot of man hours. I suppose this is why the site has staff, but at the same time, its far more enjoyable helping people and nudging users to keep the discussion quality high than it is to be constantly hunting for disruptions.
1430  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Adblock Script on: March 26, 2015, 08:01:34 PM
I feel like we are treading on thin ice here. Our forum is so unique and we created system of direct advertising method that is unprecedented and  truly "sui generis". Yet you want to destroy that system by creating tools and methods which will disable signatures permanently? Potentially it can bring an end to all signature campaigns.

The forum isn't about advertising, its about discussion. Businesses that advertise in people's signatures have the same right to be here and the same right to be kicked out if they are disruptive. If individuals want to opt out of seeing advertisements they are more than welcome to, and if that brings down paid advertising signatures, then so be it.

But I agree, great job grue.

I'm interested in the watches, the first Piccard and the second grey face once is appealing to me. Could you post the actual photos of the watches? Are there any scratches or dings on the watches?

Sure, here they are. http://imgur.com/VYWfqlu,KAck9Z5,q851hg9,7jUGNoq,DwOE44c,Y79WIoa#0

No damage on them in any way. A little dusty, as is prone to happen when dusting ceiling fans and such, but nothing that brushing them off wouldnt fix (I have since done so) however they have never been worn, are still wearing the plastic protective sheet on the faces, so no scratches or dings.

Moderators are quite neutral on alt coin matters. It would be blaringly obvious if mprep was favoring XMR threads, and Theymos would have brought it up to him loooooooong ago. Moderators can be fans of certain coins and still follow the rules without bias.

*edit*
Keep in mind Theymos is a bright guy, and he doesn't know moderators personally, there is constant review of actions made by moderators, so any signs of abuse are generally caught before anyone notices (although I honestly can't think of any cases where that has been the case) I know that I once made a lot of edits/deletes to a thread, and Theymos sent me a PM asking for an explanation of my actions.
1436  Other / Meta / Re: Terminating Account on: March 25, 2015, 05:13:24 AM
You can't delete your account. There are a ton of reasons why allowing people to do so would be detrimental, so if you or anyone would like to leave the forum permanently, the general procedure is to delete your posts (they can be restored by an admin) and change your password to something very secure. ;lk/rfgj;lkjg;lkjgrazl;kjngV:ikijn would work.

*edit* moderators/admins wont do it for you either.

After the software is done and we start using the slickage forum software. Will there be more donations and ads? If so , where will that be spent?

I asked about that last night, any additional funds collected will be used for supporting Bitcoin development, saved as part of an emergency fund, etc.
1438  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 120 or 240 volt? on: March 24, 2015, 04:56:22 PM
It depends on your home's electrical typically based on the country you live in. In the US is 120V, but you would have to look it up by country, as I'm not sure what each country uses.

So assuming you haven't done a custom wiring job, use what your house supports. It will cause issues if you use the wrong voltage. That said, 240V has a higher watt output potential, since watts = Voltage x Amperage, so if you have a standard 15Amp 120V panel (US Standard for non appliances) it is capable of outputting 1800W. If it was 240V it would be capable out outputting 3600W.

Can their missiles reach that far? I think that if war starts and they use nuclear weapons, they will shoot them at south Korea.
They can't. There are only two country has the ability to reach US.
Russia and China.
The nuclear bomb of North Korea only can reach China and south Korea.

Dont think China or Russia could reach the US either, although they do have the funding and technology, the amount of reaction time from that far away would negate any threat. The real threat is when there is no time to react, like striking from Cuba *cough Cuban Missile Crisis*
1440  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [03-22-2015] When Does Bitcoin Become Money? on: March 24, 2015, 06:27:44 AM
Money:
A medium that can be exchanged for goods and services and is used as a measure of their values on the market, including among its forms a commodity such as gold, an officially issued coin or note, or a deposit in a checking account or other readily liquefiable account.
Something (such as coins or bills) used as a way to pay for goods and services and to pay people for their work.

All of the above is already possible with Bitcoin to some extent. I've been paid for goods and services with bitcoin and I've bought things with it. I also measure the value of things with Bitcoin. The fact that the "mainstream masses" think of it as fake money only proves how uneducated and ignorant they are.

I'd agree with this statement, by all definitions Bitcoin is money. The definition is pretty broad for money though, relying mostly on its abililty to be transacted to others for an interpreted value.
