It's 100% a scam.  4 characters are all you need to see to clearly identify this as a scam.

1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining profitability keep going down, or will it stop - or increase? on: July 02, 2017, 01:19:48 PM
Hi, I couldn't find anything about it on the internet so i decided to start this.
I've been mining on a GTX 1060 for the last 5 months, when the when the profitability was at 1 mBTC/d (Using Nicehash), and BTC price was ~800$. After the price started rising my profit increased to about 1.9 mBTC. But now it's is at 0.8 mBTC.

I'm still kind of noob, so here are my questions:
What was the reason there was an increase in the profit when bitcoin price rose?
What is happening to the profit now?
Is there hopes of the profit rising again? Or at least stay at this and don't decline more?
I was planing to get seriously into it and buy a couple of gpus. should I go for RX 470 (provided i can find any) or GTX 1070, or should i wait for Vega?
Thanks.

Second read this.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=401897.0

No wonder you couldn't find anything on the internet apparently you didn't even look.

No one can tell, no one can predict when He will come again.

I can predict that for you, with about oh 100% accuracy too!

So a country does have a birthday nowadays. My question is who is the parents?

I guess you could say Britain and France were our parents, with France clearly being the Mother part!!

How many tooth fairies does it take to kill santa claus?  I really want to know...

666 obviously.  Tongue

Or is it 666 Easter bunnies to kill Santa Claus.  Fuck I can never remember!

Even with the US bringing you down, you are still the best country on earth!

The great white north eh!  Totally agree with you brother!!!!!!!
1428  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Miner - Need Advise on: June 27, 2017, 09:43:07 PM
Greetings All!!

Well, I'm just getting into mining and I have a pretty situation on my hands. The place where I live I have free power, right now about ~6000W at 240V.

My question is, not taking into account the power bill, what would be the best cryptocurrency to mine with the best ROI for hardware. And what hardware is recommended.

I know most of these questions can be found by just searching but my situation is different that I have free power...

Thank you very much in advanced.

Cheers!

Yes the questions are answered in this sub extensively.  While you may feel like a unique snowflake, you're not.  Again a simple search of the forum would have revealed a ton of threads dealing with EXACTLY the questions you asked.

All we have here is a another sig spamming, post count upping thread.   Angry
1429  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Commercial Mining Hardware on: June 23, 2017, 06:55:52 PM
I asked bitfury information to have a quantity of 500 chips at 16 nm, but they replied that the minimum order quantity is $ 500,000 !!!!!

Is absurd!  Angry Angry Cheesy

Why exactly is it absurd that a private company sells what they want to whom they want for whatever price they want?

Simple supply and demand at work here.
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Legal Marijuana on: June 22, 2017, 09:49:52 PM
What most people forget is that weed in the US is not legal Federally.  Banks adhere to Local, State and Federal regulation. Dealing with weed vendors could open them up to Federal prosecution.  Exchanges would likely fall into the same category and any exchange dealing with converting "BTC from a weed company" to fiat could land them in a world of Federal hurt.

The risk/reward ratio for Banks and legitimate Exchanges just doesn't make much sense at this point.

When the Feds get off they're asses and smarten up I would expect the Banks and Exchanges to welcome those new clients with open arms!

The road from drug cartel to thriving new business customer is just a Federal bill away!
1431  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: what mining hardware has the absolute best mining speed per watt? on: June 22, 2017, 03:23:02 AM
I guess it actually doesn't matter since this sig spam cesspool of a sub already has half the fucking threads in it pertaining to Alt coin mining and the mods don't seem to care at this point.
Could have fooled me, I aggressively move altcoin threads out of here. Provided there is *some* discussion of bitcoin I let the threads remain, but as soon as the bulk of the discussion is aimed at altcoins I move them. Note the opening poster hasn't responded and hasn't shown an interest in altcoins... yet. Depending on what happens to the direction of the thread by the opening poster I leave it or move it. If they don't  return I lock them.

Sorry man, this whole thread past post #2 is repetitive and off topic.  It looks like everyone in this thread (inc OP) just wants to post to increase activity/post count.  Which I assume would be for sig campaigns eventually.

Seems like I see to much of this.

Anyways you're the mod, do your thing and GL, sorry for the OT meta.
1432  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: what mining hardware has the absolute best mining speed per watt? on: June 21, 2017, 09:35:32 PM
Depends on the algo.

For Bitcoin and it's derivatives, the Antminer S9 and R4 models are the most efficient.

For Litecoin and it's derivatives, the Antminer L3+ but be ready for a LONG wait on them.

For X11/X13/X15/qubit/one or two other algos I'm spacing at the moment, the Baikal.

For overall most "income/watt used" BURST is probably the king, but it's only so-so on "income/$ invested" right now.

Except this is the BITCOIN mining section of the forum.  Replies like yours only encourage an already cluster fuck of a sub to be even more cluster fucked (IMO).

I guess it actually doesn't matter since this sig spam cesspool of a sub already has half the fucking threads in it pertaining to Alt coin mining and the mods don't seem to care at this point.
1433  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: RELAUNCH ETHEREUM DOUBLER on: June 19, 2017, 11:25:25 PM
as per some request via private message we lowered minimum allowed amount...

I would like to do you guys a real solid so you can stay in the business of handing out free ETH a little longer.

I am offering to double ether_double's ETH.  Send ANY amount of ether (no min or max!!!!) in a 1 time deal I will double it for you in 1 hour!
1434  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: what mining hardware has the absolute best mining speed per watt? on: June 18, 2017, 04:36:27 PM
is it ASIC or some other embedded device like an ARM cpu?

cost of the hardware is not a consideration, I'm asking out of curiosity.

Bitmains Antminer S9 is king of the hill ATM, end of story.
1435  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex SCAM on MARGIN. Be aware with margin on poloniex. on: June 16, 2017, 01:18:51 AM
so it is not safe to hold big balances on polo...

LOL...

It's never been "safe" to hold big balances at any exchange...

But people never learn so meh.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 15, 2017, 02:20:03 AM
What's better than being a whale on 1 chain?  Being a whale on 2 chains!!!

Maybe Bitmain really wants a HF???

i agree with that. Is better for all of us all of this charlatans to leave bitcoin and fork off from the network. No one need them here and for sure no one will miss them Cheesy

Unfortunately a HF may not get rid of Bitmain from either chain.  They have enough hash power to prop both chains as far as I can tell.

A HF for Bitmain means twice the number of coins they currently own and they can mine twice as many coins with the same hashpower, basically.

The biggest risk is obviously the combined value of all coins and future mined coins on the 2 new chains is less than what the original chain would have yielded.

It sure looks like it worked for ETH/ETC whales.

Or maybe I'm nuts...!!!!

1438  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: When does it make sense to just buy the coin instead of a mining rig? on: June 14, 2017, 01:35:02 PM
When you can buy more coins for fiat price of the miner than than miner will ever mine back (after deducting expense's), that's when.  Obviously if the reverse is true you should buy as many miners as you can afford.
1439  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin Mining 101 Just The Basic Facts (2017) on: June 14, 2017, 12:02:44 PM
^^ Roll Eyes
Hellfish: Perhaps time to lock this thread before it diverges too far from its '101' theme??

Agreed, I've locked it to keep it clean.  The thread was not meant to discuss the viability of mining but to give basic (think universal) mining info to anyone thinking of starting to mine BTC.  Deciding to mine or not, or if BTC is borked or not all have MANY multiple threads where these can be discussed to death.

I am going to add NFW's #5 to the list. Now that the thread is locked anyone else that has a BASIC rule about mining in 2017 can feel free to PM and if I agree it's a basic rule than I will add it to the list.
1440  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: June 13, 2017, 09:40:47 PM
I hope you globetards are ready to have your fucking minds blown.  I'm not sure your little brains can handle it BUT, I will definitively and scientifically prove once and for all the earth is a FLAT MOTIONLESS PLANE.

If the earth was an oblate sphere how in the fuck could Santa Claus make it to every single house on the planet in just one night?HuhHuhHuh Huh?  Huh? Ya that's right I fuckin stumped your stupid ass didn't I!!!

Now since we can all agree that Old St. Nick could never do this on an oblate sphere then the only possible scientific answer is the earth is flat and Antarctica is the key to everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
