1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of lying project team on: April 27, 2020, 06:33:50 PM
I've seen few projects that decieved investors into thinking that they will list on binance or okex and Kucoin without these exchanges confirmation, my advice is once a project claim they are going top exchange do not hesitate to go to the top exchange social media, if the listing is legit the exchange will atleast say something about it. Wise up

In a lot of cases random people that bought those coins or tokens advertise they will get listed on exchanges with hope to pump price and sell those coins and tokens with profit.
1442  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..? on: April 27, 2020, 04:33:01 PM
What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..? Bitcoin  price bullish or bearish?

It is really hard to predict anything now. If number of infected covid-19 cases will decrease and second wave will not be that hard. And if GDP drop will not be so big in March and latter in April. Then price of Bitcoin will slowly increase to $10000 and beyond. If what I wrote will not be true then we will see new dumps of Bitcoin price to sub $5000 or even lower.
1443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will covid-19 disappear? on: April 27, 2020, 02:37:49 PM
When will covid-19 disappear?

The question "when will quarantine and self-isolation end"? whole world wonders.

covid-19 threat will dispersal when there will be 60% vaccined or immune. Vaccine will most likely not be available for a year. Most countries took so strict measures they will not be able to gave 60% immunity in one year time. Maybe over time they will see from other countries what is the best way.

yes, that's right but in few months the situation will calm dow a little bit - i hope so Huh Huh

Virus and pandemic will exist. Countries can have lock downs to prevent to spread it. Yes now masks and other medical supplies are more available as were 1 month ago. Also number of available hospital beds expanded. So lock downs can be less strict. But before 60% vaccined or immunity happen there will need to be some. Countries and regions like Lombardy and New York where 20% people already had covid-19 will have huge advantage. Countries that barely had any infected will have to have similar measures as fro first wave.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Has Zero Active Development!! on: April 27, 2020, 12:17:35 AM
Litecoin Has Zero Active Development

Litecoin has as much development as Bitcoin have. It very closely upgrade everything what Bitcoin develops from 2012. That is what is path of Litecoin, to be a light copy of Bitcoin.

Where you got this info? I read he come broke out of prison. He earned 20000 Bitcoin in last few years promoting shitcoin ICOs?

He was a total scammer?
This is my first time to encounter his name but now I knew how became millionaire because of crypto.

If ever bitcoin reaches 100k usd then I believe that those who lose during 2017 bull run season will have a champagne party to all. But the possibility to increase in that number is too low because of pandemic.

He was not a scammer. He had one exchange in 2013 and went to prison because of exchanging USD for Bitcoins to those that traded on Silk road. In one interview he said that he got out prison totally broke and start from scratch. I dont know when was that maybe at start of 2017. Or in 2016. At that time I saw him on million ICOs as adviser. But to earn 20000 BTC out of that "advising" seems a bit strange to me.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anay DEX to exchange USDT/DAI/USDC/TUSD to BTC? on: April 26, 2020, 09:35:38 PM
I see many DEX (Decentralized Exchanges) like Airswap, 1inch.exchange exchanging altcoins, but not offering BTC. Instead you should exchange first to WrappedBTC or any kind of BTC token.
Why isn't possible to exchange directly to BTC or are they any DEX supporting swap to BTC directly?

https://bisq.network/markets/

Problem is there is little volume.

The problem is the bitcoin network needs more time to be confirmed and it can't be done instantly. The majority of swap services only accepted coins other than bitcoin caused by these coins have enough scalability to do an almost instant transaction. You can take a small explanation from blockchain[dot]com as your reference https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023819791-How-long-will-my-Swap-order-take-

There is no problem with Bitcoin to be used with DEX. Bitcoin was build for decentralised banking!

1448  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will the Halving affect the BTC price? on: April 25, 2020, 08:05:40 PM
No. The halving does not reduce the supply. I wish people would stop repeating such a gross misunderstanding of basic economics.
The supply that I mean is the rewards for the miners. The supply will not change, but the rewards for miners will be changed so that I called that is the supply. I hope you are not misunderstanding Grin

Ok, so you have your own definition for "supply". It's confusing, but ok.

When people talk about supply they talk about one of the factors that met on the market. Supply and demand. At Bitcoin supply are all already mined coins without the ones that are forever lost ( it is hard to judge which are).
1449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK may have to enforce social restrictions for an entire year due to Covid19 on: April 25, 2020, 07:20:44 PM
Prof Whitty who’s the UK government's chief medical advisor has claimed that UK will have to enforce social restrictions for an entire year or till the time a vaccine is found. Though I’m not from Uk but if I were then I would have liked to resume my work at the earliest and hope that the government would focus on reviving UKs economy, because if this lockdown continues for long then it could have a negative effect on UKs economy. @franky1 and @jetcash you two I know are from UK, so do you’ll support this call to further keep the country in lock down or do you’ll oppose it?.

There has to be right restriction. Not to overkill and not to kill the medical system in country. You cant go to any of the extremes. Country that will get to 60% immunity with least decreased GDP and will not overwhelm their medical system will win at the end. Right now we have no ideas what is the right way.
1450  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will the current pandemic affect the crypto market? on: April 25, 2020, 04:31:37 PM
As I've seen so far, Altcoins doesn't looks like they are being affected by this pandemic going on..
In February, when the virus began to spread out of china, BTC was 10000+ and within that month and March, the price got approximately divided by two.

Value of everything dropped. But latter on started growing. Stocks. Gold. Bitcoin. Altcoins. The more volatile asset like Altcoins dropped most. Least volatile asset like Gold dropped least.
1451  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is making some noise in the market. on: April 25, 2020, 04:02:49 PM
Even in this pandemic scare bitcoin is roaring in the market, only today the price has gone up like nearly 5%. Also most of altcoins have followed BTC.

This is what people were desperately looking for,  and I guess it's halving effect. If the value goes above 8k I will consider it as Bull run is back, hopefully this pump will continue guys just enjoy!!!

Bitcoin also lost a lot in last months. If you want to measure pandemic then check Bitcoin price from January first when first cases started in China. Bitcoin gained 5% in that time. Price went from $7200 to $7580. Reason for that is that so far all countries will increase their debts a lot to give money to people and to companies. So economy will not suffer much. How that will actually happen we will see. Price of Bitcoin will react accordingly.
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best coin in 2020 for long term buy ? on: April 25, 2020, 03:22:06 PM
What is the best coin in 2020 for long term buy? I'm going to invest in a best coin for long term please suggest me?

Monero. Opaque ledger cryptocurrencies have huge future since they the most copy existing banking system. When you use Monero no one else beside you and the one you trade with knows you made a transaction. Or how much founds both of you own. The same as I cant see that you went to a gardening store and spend $100 yesterday. And the same as I cant know how much money you have left and how much money gardening store have on their account.  2020 the same as 2016 is year of Monero.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best privacy coin? on: April 25, 2020, 01:28:40 PM
So many pointless privacy coins. There just isn't the need for more than 1 or 2.

I totally disagree with you. I believe there is little use case for transparent ledger cryptocurrencies and only few should exist. All the rest should be opaque ledger crypto currencies that would act like existing banking system.  Only sender and receiver knows about transaction.  I have no ideas what you did with your bank account today. What you bought how many money you have there. Once I know your Bitcoin wallet address I would know number of Bitcoins you have and who you traded with.    There is a use case for that but not a huge one.

But why do you need more than say Monero and Pivx? There are about 500 privacy coins all doing the same thing, they just aren't needed.

I guess they try different ways how to increase anonymity and everything else that money needs. At this point all of them are test coins.  My point was that we need much less transparent ledger coins then opaque ledger coins. But on the other hand transparent ledger coins are test beds for opaque ledger coins. So i is also fine they are many. Smiley
1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 24, 2020, 04:59:12 PM
Monero is pretty stable against BTC in the last weeks, anyone knows why?

If you look long term Monero was one of most if not the most stable coin behind Bitcoin. Very correlated with what Bitcoin was doing. Last 3 weeks Bitcoin was between $6800 and $7300. In past such stability was not that often. Monero just copied it.  Worlds eyes are focused right now on other things. Monero is building its momentum fro when eyes of the world will be bored with other things.  Momentum get built with constant increase of transactions and with sub 2% emission inflation that will happen in less then 3 weeks time.
1455  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 24, 2020, 03:57:39 PM
China made an international attractive imigy by helping europeans, i guess this time they will have a heavy word in this area of the world to. Probably China will not rule the global economy because countries will change their behaviour and will start to produce the basics in need.

China helped and will help those that need help. A month ago was South Korea and Iran. Weeks ago was Europe and USA now is Russia. Africa can be next week. That it is how it is done. You find best friends when you need help.
1456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Raoul Pal - Bitcoins to hit one million dollars and warns about US depression on: April 24, 2020, 02:50:40 PM
I believe his prediction more than I believe John McAfee's $1,000,000 per Bitcoin prediction, even though Raoul Pal didn't propose cutting off, and eating his own penis. Haha.

He gave his prediction few years latter and deadline is 5 year latter. While MacAfee prediction looked for most time totally  impossible. This prediction have at least a bit of chance to happen. But I give it still way less then 50%. I am sure when we will be at top of next bull run a million USD Bitcoin before 2026 will look very possible. But that will be just then.

Last time I hard of them was Roger Ver posting on r/btc subreddit about collecting founds for a Brazilian charity about covid-19. https://www.liberlandfoundation.org/brazil  It seemed strange since I thought Liberland lays between Serbia and Croatia in Europe.

1459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin mixers on: April 23, 2020, 06:49:35 PM
What is the essence of bitcoin mixers? Does it really make sense to use them only to those who conduct illegal activities?

You should definitely avoid them if you have clean Bitcoins. There are two reasons for that. First is they are very expensive. You will get much less out than you put in. Second is you might end up with Bitcoins someone pay to hire a murder with.
1460  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC and Stock vs Oil price on: April 23, 2020, 05:40:15 PM
The stock market is impacted heavily due to the drop in oil prices. Do you all think it will impact the BTC prices as well?

LOL. It dont even influence heating oil prices in Europe. I checked price yesteryear and is 2 cents lower as it was a week ago.  That negative price was of Oil in Oklahoma and you needed to pick that oil in one day time. There were simply not enough people to do it. So they paid them to do it.  Hopefully heating oil prices will decrease in next few years in Europe.
