1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest a promising project at an early stage? on: September 20, 2022, 11:33:19 PM
Friends, don't abuse this topic, as I want the topic to be useful to all of us.

I doubt this topic will be useful. I'm more of thinking this discussion is good for sharing the bad projects instead.

Generally, almost all projects are promising and their respective roadmaps should look interesting. Of course, that's what a project should look like.

However, we don't know if they will keep their promises and maintain the development on their roadmaps. If others will share their list of promising projects here, it might lead newbies to just follow them without any precautions.

Why risks for new projects? There are lots of coins out there that are worth to risk.
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino and prisons on: September 20, 2022, 11:28:14 PM
What if prisons were given license to operate a casino will it be safe for inmates .

Who or what are you referring to that will give a license to operate inside the prison?

Obviously, if these are the license providers we have known today, it's impossible that a license will be given to operating a casino inside the premises of a prison. If you are referring to big bosses in the prison, they can operate gambling operations inside even if it's illegal, of course with the help of big people outside.

Here in our country before, gambling is a normal thing in the biggest prison here that is operated by big fish with the help of politicians. You will never feel that you are inside the prison because of the environment you will see there inside. However, because of some "expose's", that was all changed now.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 19, 2022, 11:54:48 PM
Then we just have to wait for the other betting options while the fight is approaching.

We should not think about that for now. I also now become curious what's the odds for Inoue winning by KO in a specific round.

Anyway, as I mentioned, let's just wait.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 19, 2022, 11:52:37 PM
[Anyway, it has been reported that both sides already agreed verbally and what's left to do is the signing of contract, maybe this week.

Quote
Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. have agreed to “all material terms” for a fight for the undisputed 147-pound championship, although no contracts have been signed, according to ESPN, which cited multiple sources.

The outlet is reporting that organizers are targeting Nov. 19 in Las Vegas.
Link

For now, that was the latest and good progress of the fight.

Anyways, that news won't come out for anything. We can really expect that this fight will happen this year.

I don't see with this positive news recently, that the fight won't materialize to happen this year.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 19, 2022, 11:50:06 PM

That's the power of SMC teams, they can acquire good players from lower teams in exchange for their bench players lol Grin

And the PBA will call it "fair" and "balanced".

Watch out for the next episode of balanced trade. Smiley
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 19, 2022, 11:48:14 PM
After losing to Canelo in their trilogy, there are rumors that GGG is going back to Middleweight to continue his boxing career.

While others are saying he should retire now, I don't think it will be easy.

Just let GGG do what he wants. If he really feels it, then just continue.
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 19, 2022, 11:45:07 PM
In order to understand the psychology of gamblers, i have decided to come up few questions for discussions, and here is the first one.

Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?

I don't understand what part of that situation will help us understand the psychology of gamblers.

I always lend a hand to those who are in need. No need for me to sacrifice my gambling activity as I can do that at the same time. Close people around me know me well and how I assist them with financial problems. What's more, if it's about charity.

Does stopping for 1-month of gambling will change everything?

1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 19, 2022, 11:40:07 PM
So it might be change on him, perhaps coming off the bench. So there will be a lot of experiments on coach Ham, on how he will have to find the perfect fit in this new Lakers.

Speaking of coming off the bench, there's a rumor that Westbrook might probably become a part of the Lakers' backup squad for the first time in his career since his rookie days. Westbrook is always part of the starting lineup the entire his career.

Schroder will now be the starting PG adding to that.

Maybe part of Coach Darvin Ham's plan. Let's see.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 17, 2022, 03:04:24 PM
When you bet on Butler to win, you are most likely going to throw away your money. Though I can see, some are starting to get interested in ML for Paul Butler. Well, if you've got money to burn, take the risk, upsets are always there anyway. Who knows.

For Paul Butler fans, they won't think that they are wasting money betting on him as they want to show support for the boxer.

From the bettors' side, it's really not making sense to place a bet on Butler just for the purpose of taking advantage of the odds. Let's wait for other betting options while the fight is approaching. Still, around 3 months to go, and expect that while the fight is approaching, more options we can choose to place our bet on.

1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 17, 2022, 02:47:33 PM
I guess there are just people out there that want to take the safest option as much as possible?

Not actually safe for me as that was a horrible loss if we lose decent money out of betting on that kind of odds. I didn't really know what are the reasons for some bettors still choosing that kind of odds but it's their money, therefore, their own rules.

As for me, I will never touch that odds on a straight bet.

My lowest odds that I take so far is around @1.5 but that depends on my own factors.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 17, 2022, 02:43:20 PM
they should challenge the dominance of Ginebra in commissioners cap.

Or more appropriate to hope that independent teams should be able to challenge the dominance of SMC or MVP teams regardless of the conference.

Referring to the list of imports looks like all SMC teams really found a good import. It will be a tough challenge again for independent teams to compete that's why aside from relying on their import, the local players should adjust and do their best to support them.

Few days to go before the opening of the next conference.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 17, 2022, 02:39:38 PM
Can the Lakers still offer Dennis with that same amount?

I think he is a legit player, he can even lead a team, it's just that he was too ambitious and ended up losing a big offer. If he will be given a chance, I think he will be a big help for the Lakers to be more competitive this season.

Yes, that's possible but for me, low chance.

There might be an increase in the contract extension if he plays well but not maybe close to what has been offered to him before. Never heard of him doing a spectacular performance on other teams after Los Angeles Lakers.

He is now more of a pure role player and not the main guy that can carry a team.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 16, 2022, 08:50:50 PM
Crawford should start pressuring the opposite camp because he is getting old and he haven't had some fights this year too.

The fact that both parties "verbally agreed" now that they will push the fight on November 19 and it's a headline on most boxing news articles and websites, that's a good sign that there might be only a few problems now to deal with before the release of the official announcement.

It's good progress to hear compared to before when both camps are just being silent and almost no news is available to the public.

Anyways, Floyd Mayweather Jr. said way back months that if the fight will go official, we will hear it from him first or from Fighthype.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 16, 2022, 08:33:39 PM
I'm not sure about the respect though, they are trying to hurt each other, even might be thinking of cutting each other heads off. He will get the respect if he win this fight, which the majority of us thinks that is a very slim chance of happening.

That was more of a respectful way for boxers if they will try to hurt each other. Butler can still get the respect of the fans not just by winning but if he will able to make the fight a tough and difficult one for Inoue. But since it's unlikely that Butler can't go toe-to-toe against Inoue, as long as we see him trying his best to compete against the Japanese Big Monster, then respect might also come from it.

Butler can run as a usual and common preventive way to avoid the monster. That's a strategy after all but shouldn't be the entire match that he is running. That's not boxing already trying to just avoid being Knock Out by Inoue on Butler's record.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 16, 2022, 05:56:52 PM
I think we should better wait till there is an official announcement regarding the anticipated fight. Of course, it's good to hear that there are development from within. But the report say that they are still looking at the November 19 date which is very near and things are very iron out regarding the PPV and which network are going to cover this mega fight.

If they haven't announced it yet I don't think they will rush it by the middle of November.  Probably the biggest fight for both of them and boxing will want to suck out as much as they can from this fight.  At this point it would probably be sometime in 2023 but who knows.  Just sitting waiting patiently.

As for me, I don't think that it's a rush even they will push it on the speculated date on November 19 and announcement will be posted even on the last day of this month. No problem about building a hype in attempt to lure more viewers since this is a mega fight and talks about this fight started way back several months ago. I even think that the moment this fight will be officially materialized and announcement will now be all over the world, ticket sales will be sold out might be within just 2-3 days.

Agree with you though, just sit and wait patiently.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some of the legalities behind hosting an offshore casino? on: September 16, 2022, 05:37:59 PM
How does one who lives in a gambling restricted country legally get around owning an online casino that features provably fair mechanics? Are there things that most don't know when stepping into the business?

Thank you, all.

I don't know how's the approach on online terms but in physical business, at least referring to some cases here in our country, owners and operators from countries where gambling is restricted are travelling to other countries where there will be no problem with legality. From there, they will now established their business on that particular country. Another option, they are doing partnership and business to some people on those gambling-friendly countries to operate and manage the business for them and what will they just do is to cover the funding.

But to tell you honestly, it's good to operate a business without thinking of any problems related to legality. Maybe just think of another business. Smiley
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Clarity on KYC verification & online gambling. on: September 16, 2022, 05:15:33 PM
I understand the importance of KYC verification to be carried out by casinos, but since the introduction of use of cryptocurrency in gambling by online casinos and other betting services, does KYC verification from online casinos and sport betting services not directly go against the anonymity that cryptocurrency seeks to provide to people? Does it mean that gambling online anonymously is no longer possible?

Crypto-gambling should be anonymous, as it supposed to be in general, but since centralization now hitting any crypto-companies, soon we can expect that most crypto-gambling sites will have a mandatory KYC. But for now, don't mind it, it's not that KYC will be a mandatory requirements that will be imposed on the gambling sites.

Just enjoy now the anonymity of crypto-gambling today and don't take it as a big deal. Also keep in mind that always follow the site terms to avoid having  any account issues and problem in the future as KYC is now mandatory for red flagged accounts at most cases.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 14, 2022, 11:48:33 PM
I think you're probably right that a big change is coming for them in the near future.  Russell Westbrook just put his multimillion-dollar Los Angeles home up for sale, so he's expecting to need to find a new place to live in the near future.  I would think that you wouldn't put your home up for sale unless you knew that a change in scenery was imminent,

But take note that the house was bought way back in 2018 where there's not even a plan that Westbrook will join the Lakers soon. In that year, he was playing for the Houston Rockets then a year later, he was on the Washington Wizards. As reported, he was active in real estate in previous years and was able to sell 3 properties in 2020.

Maybe just for business purposes that's why I can't consider it "for now" as a sign that Westbrook will be traded prior to the start of the season. Again as I mentioned previously, if the Lakers will have a good run in the early phase of the upcoming season, then that will decide if they will keep Brodie or not.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 14, 2022, 11:38:40 PM
Well.. it looks as if the odds worsened further for Golovkin. A month or so ago, he was at 4.10. And that was when I placed a bet. It looks as if the sportsbooks are further adjusting the odds in face of increased bets from Canelo supporters. Else, I don't think that anything on ground has changed during the last 4 weeks. These odds doesn't make any sense. Let's remember that Golovkin win the first fight between the two (according to most neutral scorers), and the second one was too close to call. Given this, I don't think that Golovkin deserves odds of 4.90.

The odds for the trilogy match between Canelo and Golovkin are almost identical now to Canelo vs Bivol fight.

Canelo was a +550 favorite to win against Bivol. Here in the trilogy against GGG, he is a +600 favorite to win.
Bivol is a +400 underdog against Canelo. GGG is also +400 here.

Just a comparison and not saying GGG will have the same result lol.
