1501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 15, 2023, 03:38:24 PM
Leaving aside what has happened recently, trying to pay for low-value goods or services is going to be like trying to pay for low-value goods or services with gold: you won't be able to. Even if there are a few places that accept bitcoin as currency, with the commissions you have to pay, proportionally higher the lower the amount, it is not going to be worth it. The same thing happens with gold today.

This is the problem when they don't know how to use the lightning network and they don't spend little time learning it because they will end up like this guy who thought that there was no remedy for the ongoing high transaction fees. though we cannot blame the person if he wanted to temporarily stop the service, we can say that he is lack of some hassle to educate his customers with Lightning network and if the others will also do the same, then there will be few stores and services that will stop accepting bitcoin payments at the moment. They just need to learn some new knowledge and fix this problem as soon as possible so that they won't gonna make it harder for their customers.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: May 15, 2023, 02:50:32 PM
Gamblers don't need to blame anybody but themselves because it's not a random thing that you find yourself at the gambling place except that you get there wanting to win more money than you currently have. We know that often will not be the case because most of the people going there are just donating their money for some entertainment if more people win the place will be closed sooner or later but the reality is the contrary and if the man can't handle the heat in the kitchen, he better get out. But most of them choose to stay and will not gonna leave until they no longer have anything in them which will gonna turn into a disaster later. If they cannot get out of it, it will turn into an addiction and eventually lead to more serious matters such as the OP's post.
1503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Determinant of good society on: May 15, 2023, 01:36:32 PM
A good society will create good neighbors and good neighbors will create a healthy environment which will gonna make living in those places the most preferable you could have in this world. we had that kind of place before when I was young because there are only a few cases of injustice and most of the people are polite and trustee because of one just leader we had back then. But when he passed away, everything changed and we are getting more outsiders and eventually changes the society and its people in that community which lead to mostly raids by the cops all the time and after some years we decided to move and leave that place. If you find a just leader in your community, don't ever leave there because they are rare nowadays in this world.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 15, 2023, 12:33:42 PM

It wasn't easy for other teams, but it was easy for them. If you still remember, they did the same to the Bucks last season, although in the ECF. And now, they have repeated their dominance in the semifinals. Game 7 was a complete domination by the Celtics, and Tatum had a big bounce back after his not-so-good performance in Game 6. Now, it will be the Celtics versus the Heat. This is certainly an exciting series, and although the Heat had the easiest journey to the ECF, it's the Celtics who are the favorites to win.

Their last match was not really good and the Heat will not gonna miss this chance to get back to competing for the NBA championship this year and so as the Celtics. it will be an interesting game and might gonna also end up in game 7 because these teams right now are on fire because they have their star players playing well and it could be their last time to get back to this point so they will gonna play more intensely than ever before to get back to the NBA finals especially the Boston Celtics cause they kinda mess up last year.
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins ? on: May 15, 2023, 11:49:51 AM
Meme coins are something you don't want to invest in if you are looking for some project that has a bright future because of their ongoing significant development and updates. Therefore, they are suitable only for short-term investment which is quite good if you know what you are doing, and importantly you need to consider not going beyond your budget threshold when it comes to your capital. invest only what you can afford to lose because if you happened to invest in the midst of the hype, there's a tendency that you might not get back the same amount of your capital once the price will start to fall because the hype is no longer there.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: May 14, 2023, 08:35:22 AM

Moloney won't be able to do that against Donaire because Donaire has the reach advantage. He will be the aggressor once he faces Donaire, and based on his performance in this fight, I wouldn't be surprised if Donaire scores a knockdown or even a knockout. It was a great fight for Astrolabio; I thought he would win, but since Moloney is the more popular name, the outcome of the fight was already expected.

In this game of boxing, Astrolabio should be the one who needs to be more aggressive and preferably score a knockdown at least 2 in that fight for him to clearly win it but he seems to have a hard time finding his rhythm and scoring a power punch that is enough to knock down Moloney. If this was Donaire, I think he could easily beat Moloney against that performance because of Donaire's speed and power, he could quickly catch him and throw a lethal powerful punch that will gonna seriously hurt him.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Awareness: Bitcoin logos on T-Shirts on: May 14, 2023, 08:10:28 AM
I have a friend who also did the samething, actually it feels nice and somehow proud to wear a t-shirt with a cryptocurrency logo since other could recognize it, and there are times that some stranger or workmates would actually open up a topic and talk to you about crypto when they see the t-shirt.

Yes! Of course, because that will gonna save you time and promote only to the people that are interested you don't need to talk first either because you only answer their questions when they started to ask you something about bitcoins. You will also find those people who asked you good listeners because they are curious and want to know things from the pros. Most people who approached you will have some basic questions so before wearing those shirts, you better have an idea of what you are talking about also don't forget to warn them against scammers and frauds and also don't forget to enlighten them about bitcoins nothing to do with any Ponzi Scheme or scams rather it is also a victim. scammers used it as a prop for their scam activities.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Cas Nghitumbwa imero vs(May 13) on: May 14, 2023, 07:29:48 AM

Yes, soon enough that will certainly happen as long as Casimero will continue building his own hype and winning his bouts as well.
As per https://www.boxingscene.com/rankings, John Riel Casimero is now on the #5 in WBO's rankings which give him good chances to fight the winner of Fulton vs Inoue or the Mexican Panter, Luis Nery next. Hopefully that will happen this year too.

It's nice for him to win that fight by dominating his opponent and not giving him a chance to counter back, Casimero is one of a kind because no matter who his opponent is, he doesn't want to run rather he will duel him in the middle of the ring and take his opponent punches. it doesn't mean that he is not hurt by those power punches but the heart of the true champion is flowing in his vein. Just pure boxing and a great duel. He really needs to pursue that fight against Inoue because he deserves to take the chance like others but he really needs good conditioning and training before that. He can take one more fight to further increase his rank and go for Inoue next.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 12, 2023, 12:08:13 PM

Kambosos is easy to read because he is not a technical boxer, but Loma, who has been in this industry for a while, possesses the experience that will be advantageous against him. This matchup is undoubtedly thrilling, with Haney being the favorite while Loma aims to prove himself, as some perceive him to be past his prime. While we cannot predict the outcome of this fight, I personally like to bet on the underdog.

This fight should not be like that of Kambosos because we know how Loma can throw punches from multiple angles and also he has the speed and power compared to Haney's last opponent. By the way, both of them have a chance to prove their worthiness right here and this fight might gonna be Loma's last one if he will be beaten hard and Haney should not slack off either because it could be a career destroyer for him if he is knocked out and his weakness will appear after that just like Amir Khan.
1510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any benefit of bitcoin to the government? on: May 12, 2023, 11:14:52 AM
Honestly speaking, there are lots of benefits they can get especially when they choose to let bitcoin miners and exchanges operate in their country legally because the tax will be huge and constant because the liquidity and transactions are non-stop and they will get free money from that. But of course, we obviously know that the banks are not gonna let it happen so they always make a counteroffer behind the curtain and we know for whatever reason the government of some country is prohibiting the operations of miners and the exchanges it's all because of the banks and their allies.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 12, 2023, 10:27:00 AM

The absence of CP3 may not have a significant impact on the team's overall capability, but losing Ayton, who serves as the defensive anchor, is a major blow. Therefore, it's not surprising that they lost this game, despite their impressive performances in games 3 and 4. Had they won, we could have witnessed a thrilling game 7. However, the series has come to an end, and now the Nuggets will enjoy an early rest as they await the winner of the LA Lakers vs Warriors series.

Such as the game and Denver should focus on how to improve their game even more because, for the past few years, they only get up this far they haven't gotten to the NBA finals yet to compete with the Eastern Conference champion since the era of Carmelo Anthony and Billups in Nuggets. let's see how they will gonna handle their opponent this time because the fans obviously wanted them to see moving forward and be the Western Conference champions no matter who will their opponent might be next round.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 11, 2023, 07:09:44 PM
It is now obvious that the banks are no longer reliable when it comes to storing your money because they might be the next to go down and your money will also disappear with them. The real horror is when they don't let you withdraw your money because it is not there anymore and they don't have anything to give you back which will often be the case especially when the bank has already used its options to recover but no luck. You will be like the others who will wait at the door of the bank hoping to get your money back. Well, this is not the case with bitcoins and you know how you can effectively keep your own money and let it be there in your wallet as long you want and withdraw it whenever you want.
1513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians can't be trusted. on: May 11, 2023, 06:42:32 PM
Of course, nowadays when there is a thing that is corrupted and cannot be trusted, they use the term politic because of how huge the damage they've done and huge numbers of fake promises they made. Back then Politics are just normal and most of the leaders are following the rules but as the time comes, when the other politics see the amount of money that there were trusts, they cannot hold their ground and always fell into temptation because of that and at the end, they also lose the trust of their citizens because the people already fed up with lies and frauds by these politicians just look at the top countries that are known to be corrupted.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: May 11, 2023, 02:34:58 PM
Ah! What is fixing matches becoming? It is even getting beyond fixing matches, like this one:
Quote
Santos defender Eduardo Bauermann is accused of receiving at least 50,000 reais ($10,000) to get a yellow card in a match against Aval last year, according to the documents.
Player are getting bribed.
I will not be betting more than EPL, La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga and Lique 1 in France. I bet on Brazilian Seria A, Seria B and some other leagues and cups in Brazil. I can not trust this kind of leagues again.

We see that these are only a few players but in reality, those players are the only people who are caught red-handed surely there are more of them there and probably we also have this kind of scenario in known sports as well and they are just being careful not to get caught because if they do, they will gonna ruin the sport and might lose the trust of the people forever. Just like this one, now that they are transparently known for doing this, they will lose their fans and spectators because there will be no thrill anymore to watch and they will also probably lose their sponsorship as well because of the obvious reasons.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 11, 2023, 01:12:07 PM
They can last for a very, very long time. Nobody can promise you that they’ll be worth anything other than dust in decades to come though. In my opinion they are just a passing phase, a bit of a fad. I don’t think they will return to highs we saw in the last bull run. That was mostly wash trading imo. So yeah, they can last for a long tike but will people be paying big money for monkey JPEGS in 2060? I am not so sure.

We have seen the emergence of AI technologies nowadays and quickly becoming the hype right now, that's too long to calculate probably it will gonna be a ton of new things will appear and no one will be interested anymore in the images of monkeys with hats and they might gonna sold for almost nothing when that happens because as we can see right now, it's just merely a picture or a short video. nothing else right there and you cannot monopolize it because you can easily counterfeit it with free software on the internet which can give you your own copy.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 11, 2023, 12:40:00 PM
Good news for Lakers fans: the injury of Davis is not serious, so he can play in game 6, giving them a chance to close the series. However, if the Lakers lose, I'm unsure if they can still win on the road, considering the last two dominant victories by the Warriors on their home court. Curry has been consistently performing, and Green's new approach of attacking the paint has made the Warriors more unpredictable.

The two teams played well tonight despite their situations of close to getting knockout in the NBA playoffs. the GSW and the Knicks need to do everything they can to force game 7 because there will be no considerable chance such as this one and they cannot assure that they can easily get back to the NBA playoffs next season so they really need to put everything in their next game. The GSW has no doubt played well last night and you can see at their rotations that they are well prepared and know exactly what they need to do to win that game. Let's see if they can win the next game because they are playing on the Laker's home court next time.
1517  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it ethical for a company to have robots sell coins to humans and not know? on: May 10, 2023, 02:05:06 PM
-Soon there will be no truck drivers/taxi drivers.... self-driving cars
-Soon there will be no warehouse workers.... thanks Bezos
-Soon there will be no fast-food workers.... thanks Frybot
-Soon there will be no hotel staff.... robot maids/self-check-in
-Soon there will be no farmers... AI can do it better
-Soon there will be no actors/singers/movie stars... all replace by AI

These things will probably happen in the future because of ongoing studies and improvements that can make it into reality and we have the clear evidence now because we don't really expect that a mere chat can answer almost all of the logical questions out there including medical and rocket science things. The self-driving vehicles will be the next ones to appear and although we are seeing them as failed products this year, they still improving a lot and they are going fast with their improvement so, in the upcoming decade, we will see lots of major changes because now that this becomes a trend everyone wants to make their own version of it.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 10, 2023, 01:20:44 PM
Looks like I was dead wrong about this Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76Ers game. I thought the Celtics would handle them easily on their home court but this game has been ugly. Boston can’t hit the side of a barn with their shots. No way you can win a game in today’s NBA when you’re shooting ~30% from the field and 25% from three point range…

They are on the brink of getting knockout in the NBA playoffs same as the Phoenix Suns because they kinda blowout their chance to win one of the most crucial games of the series and they ended up getting huge pressure on their upcoming games. Tomorrow the GSW will gonna try their best to stay alive but the Lakers will not let them and will need to stop them in game 5 because they cannot afford to make GSW create momentum which will gonna make them regret and struggle to win game 7 of the series.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Unknown Exploit Drained Over $10M in past 5 months on: May 10, 2023, 12:08:29 PM
I have been following his thread on Twitter and it’s scary what he discovered. Apparently there were some people whose cold storage and hardware wallet funds were also drained. And he still can’t find the flaw.
Many ETH ICO tokens which were never moved were also stolen and these were OG unlike new retail users. Only thing I can think of is the last pass hack and they kept their seed hosted there. Since the hacks started around that time.
This is very terrible, if it's like this there is no safe place to store the assets that we have.
When storing on a centralized exchange, sometimes there are also feelings of anxiety because large exchanges cannot guarantee that our assets are safe either.

I think there was an incidence where they got hacked like this before and the culprit hit the Google DNS or cookie, I'm not sure but I remember there wasn't any problem with the Ethereum network but the hackers put some malicious software into Google DNS that they were able to get the users private key and stole their ETH. it was huge because lots of people quickly withdraw their ETH and others lose their trust to invest in ETH because their funds were stolen quickly. I think they were able to fix it for about a day and they were able to find the source of that hack.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin from 2009 on: May 10, 2023, 11:17:47 AM
If that's the only clue you have obviously there is an almost impossible chance to retrieve it but as long as you really have that bitcoins stored somewhere, you still have the chance to get it back someday. By the way, you haven't told us about the amount of bitcoins you had back then, why not share it here as well so that others might have some idea of how they will going to help you?

But honestly, the only one who can help you this time is no other than yourself because you really need those memories to put the puzzle and finally get to where you leave your bitcoins.
