What is back testing in trading and how we do it ?
back testing in trading is to go through historic data between 5 to 10 years but its less than this if you're on a 1 minute chart and to see whether your trading strategy is profitable over time whether it has a proven edge in the markets over time. It also applies predictive model to determine it's accuracy and this back testing can measure your profit and loss
1522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest money you can't afford to lose out of greed. on: April 22, 2023, 07:56:25 AM
Every beginners should definitely know this that everything about making an investment involves taking risk, most especially in dealing with other cryptocurrencies aside bitcoin, whereby we don't know the genuine intention of the developers, also we needed to have it in mind that everything has time a d season, we shouldn't rush or overracted in doing something, we have to put it at the back of our mind that ultimate research is needed and we should secure our investment and always make it private.
Investing what you can afford to loss! Nobody want to invest to loss, sometimes is good to take a risk, there is saying that most of the successful people in the world today are all risk taker, if one is not ready to take a risk then that person is not ready to be successful, the main ideology is investing wisely and do not get too greed, and what I mean by do not get too greedy, is no one get rich overnight, is a process. so, where most people get carried away is when they have that mindset of getting rich immediately, that is where the greed comes to play.
In every investment, there's always a risk so this is normal for the people who's investing in a few years. Newbies must avoid being greedy when it comes to money. I've experience this when I'm starting in investing, I'm thinking that investing cryptocurrency make your life better or become a rich quickly so later on, the cryptocurrency that i invested became no value so after that I learned that nobody in this world will make a instant money or become rich quickly, you should work hard or be patience to obtain your goal. Don't be greedy and take a time, research about what you investing and invest what you can afford to lose.

1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 18, 2023, 02:11:27 PM
I came to know about Bitcoin as everyone here did it was from my friend. I was living as usual a life controlled by the government and its banks. I was not angry about my life, still I had the anger to be someone who can succeed.

I had somewhat good childhood but I always saw my parents struggling to get those fiat. It did saddened me as I saw my parents living a routine life and still did not enjoy it.

Now I know why they were always struggling to get the ends meet. I do not.know whether anyone here can relate to the same experience of my parents

When I understood the true potential of Bitcoin. I joined this forum as I am not someone who can spare the money required to invest for 1BTC.

So, my question is can Bitcoin give a life that I dreamt as a child. Is it possible to gain financial freedom? What exactly does financial freedom means in context of Bitcoin?

# Please ignore my typo and spelling mistake.

Thanks!
It's possible to make you rich in bitcoin but that is not a quick rich, you should wait and wait and lastly wait. Bitcoin is a long term investment, you'll just need to be patience and when the time has come and bitcoin reach over $1 Million then don't hesitate to sell it. Its hard to hold a bitcoin and you're financially difficult because like what i said it's a long term process, you can't have a instant profit in bitcoin so it's useless if you invest your money in bitcoin then the other day you sell it because you need it for your daily life. You need to be financially stable just to invest a bitcoin and when the time has come, you will be rich no matter what happen because I or we have hope in this cryptocurrency blow up.

1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 17, 2023, 04:34:46 PM
You're asking questions that I believe the OP won't be able to answer, haha. Simply put, we love bitcoin for the profits it gives us, nothing more, and it's not uncommon for us to love what benefits us. But I wonder if bitcoin is no longer profitable and is only used as a currency, a payment method, will we still be madly in love with bitcoin as many people claim?
I never wondered like that until now because when Bitcoin is considered as a currency that can be used to pay for many things, it should be able to make more people fall in love with Bitcoin because it includes additional benefits besides the benefits when you invest in it (Bitcoin) or when you trade with it (Bitcoin). But I am amazed at those of you who even wonder when you see that there are some additional advantages to Bitcoin at this time
For now, we already love bitcoin because it benefits us, especially when it has become a payment method. People who want to use bitcoins as a payment method will love bitcoins too because they see that using bitcoins can give them something different than using their usual payment methods. But to see that bitcoin can be used as a payment method commonly used by many people from many countries may still take time. And while it's yet to come, we can still use bitcoin to our advantage to get more out of it.
I really love bitcoin since I'm new in crypto, it's so amazing when it's high and it's motivating me to research and learn about crypto stuff. Bitcoin is evolving and it's really helpful because it become a payment method. For me, I'm not using my bitcoin because like what i said in my recent post, if you still have some money to use for your daily need or some çlothes or something, don't use bitcoin because I'm hoping that this bitcoin that we love will go up and we will be rich in a minute.

motivate yourself with bitcoin and you will go, let's go up together !
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is racist on: April 17, 2023, 04:26:54 PM
Bitcoin is racist according to the SEC. Heil Satoshi!
We trully live in a bizarre world nowadays  Cheesy

I've read a lot of bullshits about cryptos, but this one is amoung the winners.
I thought I had heard the worst when Greenpeace attacked the Bitcoin network with the slogan: "Change the code, not the climate".

So according to them, Bitcoin (and altcoins ofc) creates financial damages to many minority investors because they don't have the knowledge to assess the risks associated with crypto.

In another words, Bitcoin makes them loosing money because people are lazy to learn where they're investing in...
L@@k at FTX and co...

Quote
We have observed that the volume of, and activity around, crypto assets have grown
significantly in scale over the last five years with very large fluctuations in value.
Many investors recently have suffered significant losses as a result of their
investments in crypto assets. It is estimated that these losses have been more than
$2 trillion.1
As a result of targeted marketing, a significant amount of these losses have been
borne by unsophisticated investors, including many minority investors seeking rapid
investment growth without the knowledge or information to assess the risks
associated with such investments

And

Quote
We believe that virtually all, if not all, crypto tokens are securities and that they, as well as the platforms and
custodians dealing with them, are subject to regulation under the federal securities laws to protect investors.
Accordingly, the offering of crypto asset securities and the platforms trading them should comply with the
registration, disclosure, anti-fraud provisions and other investor protector provisions of the federal securities laws.
We think it is very unfortunate and disturbing that there are legislative proposals to carve crypto assets out of the
federal securities laws and undermine investor protection.
The SEC should continue to be aggressive in bringing enforcement actions against companies that are violating the
federal securities laws in the crypto space, including, issuers, custodians and those acting as unregistered
platforms that offer trading in crypto asset investments.

It's not about being racist   Grin it's just the people who have no knowledge or didn't research to crypto. They are so lazy to research because bitcoin is number 1, they think it's a quick income but suddenly they realize that tlbitcoin is a long term. You can't fix this because it's literally normal so you just watch them how lazy they are.
1530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how can we know that a wallet is lost on: April 17, 2023, 01:50:15 PM
there are many threads and news about people losing access to their wallets and forgetting or seed phrases,
and it's better for scarcity of bitcoin,  but how can we know or speculate that the wallet is lost, and it is out of the supply? is there any platform where we can find lost wallets, if no, then it's a good idea to start a website and list every lost wallets.

There's no chance to lost your wallet, you will lost your wallet if you don't remember your password and seedphrase and you cannot retrieve your wallet if you don't remember your seedphrase. Save your password and seedphrase in your file, notebook or some stuff that has a security in it incase someone took your phone or notebook, just be careful my guy .
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new to bitcoin, don't know how to use on: October 11, 2021, 02:13:27 AM
First thing to do after researching enough to enter BTC, you need to set up an account to hold your BTC. After that its either you will use it to hold or for trading. There are things that you can use btc, some countries are using it as currency while some are not. You need to have a good research about it first in order for you not to lose a big amount of money.
1532  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin stolen on: October 10, 2021, 07:01:27 PM
Transferring asset in crypto is irreversible, as  you mentioned I think you got hacked and for the final answer you cant get it back no matter what. This is a hard and costly lesson, you should be more secured in this kind of situation specially when big amount of money is involved.
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 10, 2021, 06:09:31 PM
Still a bitcoin, without its owner. If you didnt give your passcode or write it if this kind of events happen then your btc will be stored in void. No one can touch it unless you gave it to someone who is close or your relatives to be exact. Better for them to use the asset rather than being nothing at all.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future on: October 10, 2021, 04:15:02 PM
Yes, progress and innovation are kept on happening but btc will stay as btc but there are things that will bloom one of this days that involves BTC. Like using it worldwide for daily transaction or payment and others. Lifting ban, specially in some countries and many more.
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can China Ban on Bitcoin have any negative effect on Bitcoin in future? on: October 10, 2021, 02:33:05 PM
Not anymore, people will just neglect it due to its past behaviors like this. Price manipulation with a sudden dump. The only effects of it is the users of it in china. It will be hard for them to use it anymore and may result to just abandon it.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you miss Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2021, 11:13:11 AM
I think commitment is the first thing you should have first, without this you will sell at little profit or either at loss you will panic sell. After having a commitment to btc, you need to research in order to avoid pulling your assets at little lost. There is no time in missing btc rather you need to have a good timing in buying and hold, with a little research you can do a buy and sell method specially if you have time to watch the daily price. Other reasons are welcome too, I need to know too why others miss btc.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: October 09, 2021, 05:44:44 PM
There are things that makes an impact in bitcoin but some are not should be considered as threat. Here are the examples that I could think of: FUD, Price manipulation, Pump and Dump and banning of it in some countries. If a news suddenly spread with among these examples, the price of btc will suddenly be affected most of the time is to decrease. Feel free to add additional information regarding to this.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I predict stricter regulations for bitcoin and the cryptospace for 2021-2024 on: October 09, 2021, 03:06:31 PM
First of all our country doesn't have any regulation if you talk about crypto. So the result is that we are free to do what ever we want, but if regulations are implemented which too low to happen, I think people will lessen the time in using crypto or exploring it. However if it goods show result, then it will serve as an advertisement for those who didn't knew it at first.
1539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment on: October 09, 2021, 01:43:24 AM
Do note that the company needed to run their own node to achieve the decentralized nature, if they are using the third-party payment gateway, they are not truly achieving decentralization. The volatility is also a double-edged sword for the company, some might want to store the payment in crypto, on another hand, some needed fast cash to operate it.

I do not imply and discourage its hard for businesses to accept Bitcoin. As a matter of fact, there is some payment gateway that has a FIAT conversion feature to mitigate volatility. My take is, whether a business accepts Bitcoin payment or not, it's a multi-variate problem that needed to be solved by the company self-interest. Not to mention, in some countries, regulatory issues are the obstacles.

Good analyzation, for me, the business that will operate with btc as their second option of currency needs to understand the possible result of losing during operation specially in bullish day of trading it. But if the business has a good other income then saving btc for the future is also a great option for them. Either way, this will be an opportunity for btc to be recognized for those who dont know it yet.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the hedge against inflation on: October 08, 2021, 07:47:42 AM
Development and progress keep on happening in BTC throughout the decade while for its counterpart that is being printed and will result to a slowly increase in inflation. BTC proves to be a good escape if you are going to invest in an asset with an assurance of growth to it.
