Not expecting Shubhman Gill to repeat his performance in the finals today. If he does then he will be the second best on that table. As Virat in 2016 had 4 centuries and a total of 973 runs from 16 matches . Whereas Gill has 3 centuries from 16 matches and a total of 851 runs.  have no doubt that Gill is the second best batter for India at the moment after Virat Kohli.

Two of the best team will be playing against each other in the finals today. Both have their own pros and cons and my favourite to win is CSK. Which team is your favourite?
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 27, 2023, 01:19:12 AM
233 as a target is suppose to create psycological pressure and that's what happened yesterday. The next blow came with in form Kishan retired hurt, to find his replacement was a big task. Tilak Verma started creating havoc, then the partnership breaker Rashid Khan was called and as usual he delivered. Cameron Green got injured and all the pressure of scoring runs came on the shoulder of SKY.

GT won not because of their bowling but because of GIll. Thrid century in IPL and that to in a crucial match was beyond my imagination. This is going to be an era of Shubham Gill as I consider another Kohli in the making. We deserved win for GT and dominating comeback.

It's interesting to note that Mumbai Indians and their captain Rohit Sharma are not getting the credit they deserve. In fact, I believe that this is one of the strengths that MI can use to their advantage. MI playing today with low expectations while the high expectations are already on the Gujarat Titans. Being a table topper doesn't necessarily guarantee they will go forward or grab the trophy. So, I have a feeling that MI will come out on top in this game, and will face off against CSK in the final. However, feels that CSK will ultimately emerge as the winners of the tournament.

CSK can win this season, they have played well and they are in the finals because of MSD. GT is good team and they are being considered favourite because of thier overall performance this season. The next reason is that today's match is being played in GT's homeground. Hardik Pandya might not be in form at the moment but he has proven that he is a good captain as his team is the defending champion. Multiple factors like the ones that I wrote is the reason why everyone is favouring GT against MI.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 26, 2023, 02:36:06 AM
Both the team are at its best. In terms of consistency Mumbai Indians were doing good over the end matchs. Once it was out of the playoff and the unlucky RCB gave Mumbai Indians the opportunity to enter the playoff. In the playoff the performance of Mumbai Indians were exceptional.

Gujarat throughout the season looked dominant and failed to the captaincy of MSD. In specific the fielding setup to take the wicket of Hardik Pandya is something none could've thought of. Now Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans facing at a very important match makes it more energetic and high scoring.

The problem with GT now is that they look dependent on Shubhman Gills batting. They were earlier playing like a team but after consecutive centuries by Gill they went into the relax mode. On bowling they are very dependent on Rashid Khan's spin attack. Almost everytime when they are unable to break a partnership he is called and he does deliver.

MI at the moment is not dependent on anyone's individual performance. If one batter didn't bat well then the other would take the responsibility. On bowling they are still inconsistent but not as bad as they were in the early stages. At that time it looked as if they were missing Jasprit Bumrah.
1525  Local / India / Re: Why Indians are the second biggest buyer of Meme Coins? on: May 26, 2023, 02:26:36 AM
I assume this big number is because of Gen Z. They are mostly college going kids and those who have started their jobs. They are the one who want to have a lot of money in a short span of time. I won't blame them of having such a mentality. The amount of competition these guys are facing is nothing compared to the millennials.

That is why they are investigating their pocket money and a part of salary in such cryptocurrency. We all know investing in Bitcoin or other hig value crypto will not help them in achieving their goal in a short term. Shit coins are the ones which might help them financially but they do come with a lot of risk. As they do not have any responsibility they are willing to take such risks.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 26, 2023, 02:10:18 AM

In today's match if the statistics are imagined then I will put Mumbai Indians ahead. However, the performance shown by Mumbai Indians against Lucknow Super Giant in the last match, especially in the bowling department, makes Mumbai Indians more likely to win today's match against Gujarat Titans.

I am expecting the Ahmedabad pitch to be batter friendly. If it is then MI have an upper edge. I won't comment on their bowling line up as it is still not the best. Considering their batting depth and the form each batter (except Rohit) is in now they are the favourite.

As GT is playing on their home ground and after the unfortunate loss against CSK, I am expecting the team to perform above average. We can expect a good T20 game today that is for sure.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 25, 2023, 12:40:13 PM
I don't know what interest UAE and Oman government has in cricket, there is not even a single native player in there teams. As far as I remember UAE team is playing cricket for long time. UAE participated in 1996 cricket world cup and still they have not gone up from level of an associate nation. Nepal is doing good in recent ICC tournaments and if they continue playing like that then they will surely be permanent part of ICC. Nepal is only team left in the region that is without test status, all other teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have test status.

Middle east is full of expat from the subcontinent. They want to cash the craze of cricket that these people have. That is the reason they are buying players to play for their team from the subcontinent. That allows these expats to relate themselves to the player. After football, cricket is the second most watched sports in the world. If ai am correct it is in the top 5 high revenue generating sports in the world.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 25, 2023, 12:34:52 PM

Sasta Pandaya wanted to be a hero. Opening the bowling and coming out at an important position of 1 down. Main captain hun, main sab karunga, mujhe sab aata hai "Attitude"

He felt he is better than his brother and thought why not taken on the whole MI all by himself. Niether he is good spinner nor a good batter and a worst captain in my opinion.

KL Rahul sudden departure due to the injury a big blow for LSG. He was not in form but he knew how to captain this side. After his departure the management made a mockery of themselves by hiring this idiot as a captain.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 25, 2023, 06:29:31 AM
What a disaster for LSG! I have never seen a batting line-up completely confused whether to take a run or not. MI were lucky to win the toss as the team batting first will have an upper edge. Akash Madhwal was the star of yesterday's match. I have never heard of this guy but for me he got best out of the slow pitch. Bye bye LSG! I hope you come back strong next season.

In the meantime Mota Bhai's visit to Siddhivinayak temple was quite fruitful. MI's hope of reaching the finals is still on. I hope the pitch of Ahemdabad would be better than the pitch of Chennai.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: May 24, 2023, 04:17:23 AM
It is a matter of an individuals choice! The father thinks earning from gambling will only bring bad image of his family whereas the son doesn't believe in his ideology. It is quite common in many societies around the world  to consider Gambling as a bad influence to the family. There are religions that believe earnings from gambling to be bad. Therefore this news doesn't suprise me.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 24, 2023, 03:19:30 AM

In the addiction of the game it will always be a way that is different from that of alcohol or any other vice that can occur, the most optimal way for a person to get rid of any addiction or vice is to do sports activities such as going for a walk , riding a bike to keep your mind busy and without giving too much strength to gambling or any other addiction, it is also very easy to give opinions about an addiction without having gone through that experience, but each addiction is very difficult to overcome, for this reason you need all the Corresponding support from the people who are sharing with the person is the easiest and cheapest way to get out of trouble.

Any kind of addiction is bad both for your health and your finances. It not only affects you as a person but it also affects the family and friends. My understanding of addiction is that anything you do which is excessive and does fall under normality.

I do agree the only way to get over an addiction is keep your mind busy. That doesn't happen with everyone. That is why it is always advised to get professional help. Unless you have a stong will power and have the ability to constantly keep yourself busy.

1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 24, 2023, 03:10:02 AM
I have to agree. Hardik Pandya and the rest of the Gujarat players became a bit complacent after they managed to restrict Chennai Super Kings to 172/7. Perhaps they were expecting to chase a total of 180-200, and were surprised when they managed to pick some quick wickets towards the end. Gujarat Titans started quite slowly, and apart from Shubman Gill no one made any significant contributions. At the end of 10th over, the required run rate had already climbed to more than 10 runs per over. And the selection policy was confusing for GT. I don't understand why Dasun Shanaka was selected ahead of Josh Little.
Pandya, Miller and Tewatia were the biggest flop yesterday. Each of them contributed a single digit to the scoreboard. 172 was not that easy under those humid condition to chase. Pandya after winning the toss got overconfident and choose to bowl first. In my opinion they should have batted first and defended the target. They still have a another chance but if MI win today then I won't be surprised if GT loses the match against them.
1533  Other / Meta / Re: Can one use AI to correct grammatical errors? on: May 23, 2023, 10:02:44 AM
I do not think using an AI for grammar and spell check will be an issue. After all Grammerly does the same thing and a lot of members use it. Since, Lemur Android browser does allow extension, why not install Grammerly and use it. It will be better than the AI as you do not need to go to the AI evrrytime you write a reply.
1534  Local / India / Re: 30% TDS on online gaming on: May 23, 2023, 09:54:12 AM
I was under the impression that online Gambling and Betting fall under this tax slab. This crazy! I can understand about Gambling and Betting but why normal online gaming industry. This tax slab doesn't make any sense to me. As per my understanding like cryptocurrency, online gaming is an emerging market for India. The government is trying to stop both industry from emerging. This proves how much these babus have an idea about technology.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 23, 2023, 09:29:48 AM
YouTube algorithm works on your choice of video. If you are watching gambling or betting content its algorithm would bombard you with more such content. Depending on your behaviour it will start showing advertisement relevant to your viewing habit.

You can manage what kind of advertising you want while using any Google service. You can read this [https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7403255?hl=en]article[/url] if you want to reset the advertisement.

I guess atm no team has any advantage and don't forget upcoming knockouts have some interesting matchups in terms of stats.

CSK still looking for their first win against Gujrat and they are playing against them. Similarly, Mumbai also searching for their first win against Lucknow and it's a knockout.

The first knockout match will happen today between MI & CSK. Expecting a thrilling game of cricket, it would be great if it is scoring match. Shubhman Gill is in his best of form same goes for Devon Conway. The only plus factor for CSK is that they playing in their homeground.

Which team is your favourite?
1537  Local / India / UPI Access for Crypto Transactions Could Be Restored Soon on: May 22, 2023, 02:58:34 AM
I came across this article a few days back but unfortunately, I forgot to discuss it here. Last year the Government suddenly restricted cryptocurrency exchanges from integrating the UPI system. This is not the first time that a proposal has been sent to the government. Two already has been sent but the government has not responded.

Quote
Indian crypto exchanges and a policy firm have asked the government to restore access to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for crypto transactions. UPI is a popular real-time payment system in India. The government has not yet responded to the requests.

Source.

After reading this article what I would like to know from you guys is that do you think it is a first major push asking the government to change the rules governing the industry.
1538  Local / India / Re: 30% TDS on online gaming on: May 22, 2023, 02:21:19 AM
No you are confusing GST with Direct Income tax. The Income tax on winnings from any type of game comes under winning from lotteries board games etc. No matter if it's a skilled game or an unskilled one. TDS is being implemented on this type of incomes in digital space. GST reduction on the other hand would mean the fees that you'll pay while purchasing these games will become cheaper as the GST rate on it would fall.

Thanks for clearing my confusion, in the end my conclusion is that whatever you do the government wants to tax you. We still are not getting taxed for breathing  Grin. May be in the future it might be happen  Wink.

There are basically 2 types of games which are luck based games and skill based games.
Luck based games does not require and effort and it's just more of guessing the outcome such as playing a dice game.
All other games are skill based games and requires some kind of skill and effort to win the game such as playing poker or any other cards game.

What about non Gambling games? There are many games that regularly conduct tournaments. Like free fire, Call of duty , Carrom and etc. I have read and heard that they do organise regular tournaments. The winners do get cash rewards, so does that mean the same tax slab is also applicable. If yes, then the government is not helping the gaming industry.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 22, 2023, 02:09:30 AM
Back to back century by Virat Kohil and still RCB could not qualify for the playoffs. I guess when Virat leaves RCB then only they might win their first IPL trophy.

GT's reply to Virat was Gill! Like Virat he also showed is agression and presence of mind. Asking for a review for a no ball was very clever. Two centuries in this season of IPL shows how good he is as a batter.

I am happy to see most of the Indian batters back in form before the test worldcup. Rohit Sharma is still struggling, he got three life's yesterday because of poor fielding by SRH otherwise he would have been out before getting his half century.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 22, 2023, 02:04:16 AM
How Zimbabwe won the series. They have 6 unofficial ODI's. And Zimbabwe won only two so how the Zimbabwe team won the series. Well, the last match won by the Pakistan team by DLS method. Pakistan was trying really well to win the match and they won. And now the series between these two team is 2-1. And the next means 4th ODI will be played tomorrow.
Oh! Isit? I was not aware of it. I generally do not follow unofficial matches. The way everyone reacted about Pakistan losing against Zimbabwe made me believe that it might be a 3 match series.

If what you are saying is correct then Pakistan team still can win the series or level it.
