I wonder why there are no people talking about this fight these days, I think maybe because Beterbiev is not fighting against some great contender available in their weight division and Smith is just some other boxer that he will gonna beat easily in their upcoming fight. Nevertheless, this is another good warm-up fight for Beterbiev because after this, he might get the best fight he really wanted all these years and we know that he is not gonna be coming for the title, he just wanted to beat everyone out there that are at the top of their weight division.

And this could be just another get busy fight for Beterbiev, he needs to be active as he is not getting any younger. But he wanted Haney in his return as Devin says that he will move up in weight. So lots of interesting development here. Not to boast but I expected this to happen, not to Devin Haney as a target specifically but I already thought that Teo Lopez might surprise us again as he now feel the urge to be somebody as he is now a champion at 140 lbs. because there is no sense at all in retirement at such an early age after winning a championship. Any boxer would not think Teo was serious about his retirement. He just did the best performance of his entire career to win against Taylor so it didn't make sense seeing him retire. Somehow a boxer who comes back after retirement will be talked for awhile. Now that he had achieved some greatness, he will need to aim higher and beat up the undisputed champs above him. Would they get bigger pay if they once tried retiring? He isn't the first to have done this so it must be something for such gain. For some boxers, that technique will work because the organizers will be forced to give more guaranteed money as a fight that got their name on it will be much more sellable to the public. But for Teofimo Lopez? I doubt he can use that technique effectively as he is not gaining much attention from the public which will follow him in his fights or at least got a massive fan bases. There is none of a single doubt about the hype between these two can create and that they can surpass the blockbuster hit that Davis and Garcia did in the previous months. I mean, it is given already knowing how Al Haymon kept the right to organize it even if there is already other organizers that wanted to give them those guaranteed money, he know that the revenue in this fight will be much bigger than what is anticipated that is why he didn't gave up those rights because he knew probably at that time that sooner or later, the path of Crawford and Spence will soon cross.

I just read that Ngannou's fight purse against Tyson Fury is around $8 Million which is similar to what UFC offered him to defend his title against Jon Jones. Huge leap from his last fight which reported to be around $600K so kudos for a getting a great deal even after all the fallout.

I’ll go straight investing with bitcoin. As far as Eimantas Stanionis he has been waiting for this fight for years, he had a scheduled fight last night but was cancelled because Vergil Ortiz is deems unfit to fight. So I doubt that he will go directly to the winner of Spence vs Crawford, he needs a tune up fight first.
In that case, Stanionis should find be a dancing partner as soon as possible to keep him warm because he is getting cold in the ring for waiting against Vergil Ortiz and in the end the fight did not materialized because of the said factor mentioned by you above. He should find that and make a tune-up fight because he now have the green light to fight the winner of Crawford-Spence fight and after that, hopefully Boots Ennis will have his own mandatory fight too as he also waited for his shot. |

Mane going to Saudi Arabia "might" be a little to early, he could still play a few more seasons, majority of the players that went to Saudi Arabia has been young, there are only few players who got paid a lot of money and were still young, I guess most players who got paid those 50-100+ million per year contracts were old, Mane is not that old yet, he still has talent.
However, when you offer someone 100+ million a year, I can't really say who could say no to that, it might look like you are retiring if you agree to that, but at the same time we are talking about 100+ here, you could literally retire. What could he get per year, 20 million at most? For how long? Maybe 1-2 more seasons? With 100 million for just one year, he could make more than his entire career from this point forward.
