I am thinking that it may well be a way to blackmail people

@Acidyo : Can you explain why you asked this question

Not sure how effective it will be when these people are willingly giving up their secrets, unless you dox them and tell their friends and family about it  Grin.

I have a thing for coconuts.

I thought you didn't like them?

When I was in primary school I pulled a chair out from under a boy before he sat on it.

It was extremely funny Smiley

I did that to a girl I really liked in high school. Everytime I see or talk to her again she always brings it up and I spend most of the time apologising for it haha. Feltbadman.jpg.
15342  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I get a bitcoin tattoo? on: February 07, 2014, 11:21:03 AM
Never been inked before and only cuz I dont know anything I'd like to permanently put on my body taht has any meaning BTC however has changed my life so why not.

Opinions?

If yes got any cool ideas to do a btc symbol ? I was figuring put it on my shoulder blade or something i dunno.

Only you can answer that. Don't get tattoos on the spur of the moment though. I'd put a lot of thought into it first as it's going to be there a long time. On what part of your body would you want it?
15343  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: February 07, 2014, 11:19:17 AM
The strangers was pretty scary. Been out for awhile.

If you guys can get ahold of the documentary "bloodlines" you should check it out. It was pretty much banned everywhere, but super interesting

I've seen Strangers, i'll look into bloodlines, thanks

Yeah, End of Watch was pretty solid. The writer of Training Day is good with police-related narratives though his upcoming film with Arnold looks alright at best.

If you liked Training Day I thought Brooklyn's Finest was pretty similar in style and a solid movie, also has Ethan Hawk

Bloodlines is like a documentary on the bloodline that supposedly trails all the way back to Jesus Christ himself, and believe it or not there are a group of people who claim to have the actual body (entombed).  It sounds really far fetched, but when you see the people that are interviewed, and the fact that a few of the people who talk end up mysteriously dead, it makes for a super interesting documentary.   It is also weird that it has been banned like everywhere...

Has it actually been banned though? Most films or documentaries that claim to be banned just use it or say so for publicity. And Bloodline was based on a lot of different hoaxes.

They don't claim it to be banned, they actually wanted as many people to see it as possible.  Try searching the internet for a place to watch it...it is hard to find.   Usually you can find copies of any movie online somewhere...

A little-known low-budget documentary being hard to find doesn't make it banned  Grin. You can buy it on Amazon and there's a copy on piratebay but only one seeder.

you guys need to watch 300...very inspirational.... Grin Grin

Inspiring in what way?
15344  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you a virgin? on: February 07, 2014, 11:11:33 AM
not a virgin, but never had a girlfriend    Shocked

So you paid for it? Same here.  Grin

I'd say more probably just casual sex or a one night stand.

15346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shall we make a bitcoin bank? on: February 06, 2014, 05:07:48 PM
I think one of the points of Bitcoin is that we don't need banks for this kind of thing. There's some ethical banks about and I'm sure there will be banks that are happy to accept or deal with Bitcoin related funds in the near future, but they're not needed to buy coins as there are other options available.
15347  Other / Off-topic / Re: Table tennis on: February 06, 2014, 05:04:24 PM
I had been practising this mocked up sport for quite a few years (too old, now), and never saw that performance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kl1sS1kVAvA

Thankfully, I'm watching that after I quit. Grin

Water... Ok.

I heard the first video was a fake. Looks amazing though.

That table tennis playing cannot be real.

Turns out it's not: http://www.snopes.com/photos/advertisements/pingpong.asp Still a cool little video though.

So it looks like Gary Oldman has been called in order to potentially be part of JJ Abrams Star Wars movie...

We're a few Oldman lovers here, so just thought I'd share!

Whilst I love to see Gary Oldman in anything, I'd rather him take roles where he can really show off his talents, preferably playing villains. I haven't seen the last couple of films he's been in but he seems to be largely on auto-mode going by the small snippets I saw in the trailers.

Agreed. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was good, but he didn't necessarily stand out too much in that either.

I still need to watch that midget movie of his!

I thought he was great in that. Most of the cast was too, but the film was a little dry for my tastes. Wasn't entirely sure what actually went on to be honest. And you need to get on the midget movie as soon as  Grin.
15349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Paper Wallet question on: February 06, 2014, 04:46:00 PM
Is there anything like this except for an iPhone app, I have looked but I cant find it.

I tried following the same steps but I couldn't find the address book!
Yes adam9317.
There's this Blockchain app available.
Here.

Thanks I have found this but is there anything with a guide on how to use this app with paper wallets.

Iits the guide I'm looking for Smiley

Adam

Doesn't it tell you on the above link? Just go to 'My Addresses' and scroll down to 'Scan Private Key'.

I think this stance is only logical for anyone who has their head screwed on, but props to him and anyone in public office who speaks out on such matters.

15353  Economy / Economics / Re: GBA TO LAUNCH FIRST ROBOCOIN BITCOIN ATM IN THE U.K on: February 06, 2014, 04:19:26 PM
So it seems with ZipZap that you can only pay by cash if you have already registered your id and address documents online.  I don't know how they could operate legally  in the UK any other way.

I think this is the case, but to use Bittylicious you can buy small amounts with no documentation and this is increased the more info you provide and verify.
15354  Economy / Economics / Re: Goodbye to my iPhone and iPad - Never Again Any Apple Product on: February 06, 2014, 04:14:30 PM
TLDR

I just signed the petition "Apple: Allow Bitcoin wallets on the iPhone" on Change.org.

It's important. Will you sign it too? Here's the link:

http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/apple-allow-bitcoin-wallets-on-the-iphone?share_id=jsFsYcfbZb&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition

Do you think Apple will respond to such petitions? The best way to vote or protest Apple is with your money. Dump their devices and they'll soon get the message.
15355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome, Apple. Seriously. on: February 06, 2014, 04:12:19 PM
guys u do it all wrong. u shouldnt make apple get bitcoin.

u should drop apple so they get a lesson. theres enough android phones.

In an ideal world that would happen. I think recently I've seen more people ditching Apple and their products because of their restrictions as opposed to people blindly singing their praises, but then there's always Apple fanboys...
15356  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-2-05] Overstock now putting Bitcoin on TV on: February 06, 2014, 04:07:49 PM
You mean a tiny Bitcoin logo at the bottom of the screen at the end of the commercial...

How is this "...emphasize that they accept Bitcoin..."

Whilst that may be true, It's still getting Bitcoin out there even if it is a small mention, but it's still a big thing putting Bitcoin on TV. Overstock must be applauded for that at least. Hopefully it's the first of many and the mentions will get bigger and bigger.
15357  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: February 06, 2014, 03:45:27 PM
Any decent horror movies out there, either on netflix or something i may have missed?
Maybe something out of these:
Insidious
Sinister
Devil
Session 9
Event Horizon
Madhouse
28 Days later
28 Weeks later
The Mist
Pandorum

I can remember these titles, which means they were decent Smiley I usually forget the boring ones few days after watching.

I'd add Eden Lake to that list. I also enjoyed All the Boys Love Mandy Lane recently, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily great. I love Amber Heard, though.

Eden Lake is great and is recommended for a horror that is a little bit different. I've wanted to see All the Boys Love Mandy Lane for years but never got round to it. Is it another run of the mill horror or is there something else to it?
15358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh Lawdy! The U.S. Post Office Wants Yo Coinz! on: February 06, 2014, 03:39:36 PM
I can't see it boosting their revenue by much, but at least it would drum up some free advertising and interest.

It mainly says that they want to start their own Alt Coin...

Good luck to them!

Does it? That looks like it was a suggestion from somebody else.
15359  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-05] Apple Removes Blockchain.info App from iOS App Store on: February 06, 2014, 03:36:13 PM
Can't believe they've removed it completely. When my battered iPhone 3 dies I doubt I'll be going back.
15360  Bitcoin / Press / Re: You Can Now Pay Cash For Bitcoin at 28,000 UK Stores on: February 06, 2014, 03:34:37 PM
I think that is quite a big deal for adoption, although it does look like you pay about 3-3.5% in fees for using the service.
From the ZipZap site, it looks as though they will soon be offering the service directly themselves, rather than having to use a separate Bitcoin site, that might lower fees.

Looks like you have to go through Bittylicious anyway, so it'd be easier to just use Bitty directly. The only advantage of this is you get to cut out the banks I guess.
