16001  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any btc offer sites that are easy and actually worth my time? on: January 27, 2014, 03:05:02 PM
Hello everyone just wondering if there are any sites that allow users to earn bitcoins that are actually worth the time you have to put in?

tl;dr: NO.

theres a bunch of ways to earn bitcoins why don't you start bitcoin mining ?

Do you even mine, bro? It's not worth it now unless you have a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a rig. You can make money mining alts and trading them for Bitcoin though.

Prince sues internet users for total of $22m over alleged bootleg recordings

http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/jan/27/prince-sues-internet-users-alleged-bootleg-recordings

"Ordinary fans believed to be among 22 defendants accused by musician of distributing recordings of his live performances."

I'm a fan, but he's such a tool. I think he sued Youtube too and now you can't upload any videos with him in it.
16003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Zipzap at Miami - UK debut next week - 28,000 locations to buy BTC on: January 27, 2014, 02:39:31 PM
So is there a date for when this actually goes live? I might test it out just for the sake, providing the fees/commission aren't ridiculous.

Yeah I was thinking that. My local NISA accepts all sorts of delivery.courier services. Surely they'll take this on given the chance.

You can search here: https://www.zipzapinc.com/

Don't think you can search UK yet, tried the other day. Just says that it's coming soon and shows a pic of London.

Worked for me. Just go down to the bottom to the map and enter your postcode.

Please note: If your trust level is in minus on this board, ( shows in red) you will not be eligible to join.

What trust-value you see depends on the people in your trust-list. You should specify this. The trust-values I see are probably not the same as the ones you see.
I think he means the default trust.

What is default trust?

You need to be put on this by someone in the list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

3d movies are over rated in my opinion I have a tv which has 3d and I have only watched around 10 movies on it I don't know why maybe because of the lack of movies made in 3d.

They are over-rated. It's just a gimmick really.

Especially when the glasses batteries always run out every 2 weeks and can become expensive very quickly.

Turn them off?

Haha, that is funny taken out of context.

I thought it was funny in context. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxvyMiwhJWw

Fucking hilarity.

I also invested in IFC. I am curious about this coin, cause the whole coin cap is almost mined!
What will happen next? It's exciting  Smiley

This is now the main thread?!

When will it be fully mined?

And does the latest wallet work fine now? I couldn't get access to my coins with the last one.
16009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ridiculous article on Alt coin causing the end of the IT industry on: January 27, 2014, 02:11:59 PM

I wouldn’t take that site too seriously. Just look at some of their other headlines:

16010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter rejects ad for bitcoin app due to "adult sexual services policy" on: January 27, 2014, 02:09:19 PM
Seeking to get the word out about my bitcoin app, CoinScout, I started a twitter campaign to promote a tweet describing the function of the app. Twitter put my account in review and a few days later responded with:

"@bitcoinscout, your account is ineligible to participate in the Twitter Ads program at this time based on the Twitter Ads adult sexual products and services policy."

Now the app really has nothing to do with adult sexual services. It's an app to find local places that accept bitcoin as payment. (you know, burger joints and dry cleaners, not hookers lol)

Here is the app (for iOS):
https://itunes.apple.com/app/id793484994

and the tweet I was promoting
"Discover Local Places That Accept #Bitcoin As Payment. Install Now FREE itunes.apple.com/app/id793484994"

What do you think? Justified rejection? Not the real reason it was rejected?

Well do you advertise any places that might deal with adult services? Sexshops massage parlours etc?

I watched Hunger Games 2 recently and it was even better than the first one. Have to read the book someday.

Haven't seen the second one, but the first one was enjoyable. I have a soft spot for Jennifer Lawrence though.

I also pissed myself laughing at this:

You see that Vince Vaughan is in another shit film - Delivery Man? It has six point oh written all over it.

I already mentioned it a few pages back haha.
16012  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon's Jeff Bezos looks to the future on: January 27, 2014, 01:47:09 PM
If he really is looking into the future and trying all these new things why isn't Bitcoin a top priority.

Maybe he doesn't think Bitcoin is the future?

Then he's probably not that great forward-thinking businessman he thinks he is. I do hope Amazon accept Bitcoin in the near future as that really will be huge and give the currency a great boost into the mainstream.

Yep. Very looking forward to it. Nolan's cinematographer has a film coming out too Transcendence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCTen3-B8GU

Sweet! I'll look out for that. On a different note, just seen that Gary Oldman is to be in the new Robocop film. That gives it a bit of clout. Loved the old movies.

Yeah, he's in the new Planet of the Apes movie too. I enjoyed the last one. Better than the crappy Wahlberg one.
16015  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can We Trust Anybody Online on: January 27, 2014, 01:11:06 PM

16016  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: selling bitcoin on: January 27, 2014, 01:08:39 PM
yeah this is the price I watch - http://markets.blockchain.info/markets/mtgox/GBP

How do I sell on this marketplace? I thought I needed a certain amount of posts?

Nope, not anymore. Just head on over to the marketplace and post your offer. Make sure you state you're happy to use escrow though or peeps will probably think you're a scammer.

Found this video interesting:
Amazon's Jeff Bezos looks to the future
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6in-MZeeeGk

Was quite interesting. Those little shoe things or whatever they were called knocking packages into chutes were quite bizarre.

But I'm still pretty sure this Drone thing will never happen and it was largely just a publicity stunt though.
I know, Imagine millions of drones in the air dropping packages on peoples heads.  Cheesy

Even if they did implement them it wouldn’t work like that. They're just for deliveries to people who live within a half-hour radius. I'm sure there would be an extra charge for getting the item to you with 30 minutes too.

I'm sure I read once that cows contribute more pollution than cars.
