The machine makes BTC... if more comes out than you put in... you win! If less comes out... you should have bought BTC directly.
Seems like a straight forward/simple concept... take 5 minutes to think on it.
I don't know how people fail to understand this... If someone was selling a machine that only had one function and that function was to print out $100 dollar bills, would you buy it for $500? what if I told you it could only print out four bills before it self-destructed? Would you still buy it for $500?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263049.0PM me your submissions or post them here! [Info from Main thread] ------------ Hello. I'm working on getting a website together with some mates and we need a logo. I have the idea of what I want but I can't really sketch or draw. Not looking for anything too fancy, but I do want something that I could bring to my partner that won't get me laughs. Paying 0.1 BTC to an artist who can give me any sort of quick sketch to help present my idea to them. Just sketch something with a pencil and paper, scan it, or take a picture with your camera phone and email it to me. Not looking for anything fancy or rendered! PM me for details. Looking to get this done in the next week. Actually, I'll just post the details:- This is going to be a logo for a website that serves as a small header across the top of the page - The max height in pixels is going to be rather small, so the title of the website "Broke Joker" will need to be focused accordingly - Sketch can either contain the actual words "Broke Joker" on it, or it can contain a space clearly designated for the words - Best sketch will receive 0.1 BTC - Think 400px max height!Current "Logo"(ish)http://www.brokejoker.com/My idea that I want sketched:Logo header at the top of a page. A guy in a wife-beater walking away from a car in the hood, hand in his pocket. The side of the car is spray-painted “Broke Joker” Optional:Incorporate a Court Jester's head in the somewhere Contest ended!Paid: mscharleneb (Transaction ID: 37655a0a55086612cafc62fb75f3184b807bd5040219a793343ff6cb4fcfb8a1) bitwarrior (Transaction ID: e27c50f0fd5f8d3046e5e129d0a59c2a1387a2a199ae49af67e44271d1216f61) i3lome (Transaction ID: e42e12431d690b609c82d91d8ba5299e98456d5fe9682f47dca608f87dc2fa30) JonnySmithers (Transaction ID: 74f05945e559e4d7025c792124aaca46e8a683500d7f1107037f9d76052e367a) Thanks again for the great sketches! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

^^^ Gold Digger ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Maybe some women marry geeks for the money. But in my case we had NOTHING when we got married. We lived in a 400 square foot studio and we were lucky to have a few hundred bucks to our name. So my husband has to know I was not a gold digger! However, husband does quite well now with a well over 6 figure income and I feel very fortunate. I was just teasing ya. Nothing like going from rags to riches. It definitely makes you appreciate the finer things in life. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Somehow I didn't think it could be true, but I'm a n00b so I decided to do some calculations. Wow, definitely not going to be buying an ASIC anytime soon.
This difficulty is slowly getting insane and your 15% was quite spot on...
All difficulty changes in 2013:
blockNumber difficulty ChngeinDiff %chg Date 215712 3,249,549.58 269,912.97 +9.06% 1/8/2013 217728 2,968,775.33 (280,774.25) -8.64% 1/23/2013 219744 3,275,464.58 306,689.25 +10.33% 221760 3,651,011.63 375,547.05 +11.47% 223776 4,367,876.00 716,864.37 +19.63% 225792 4,847,647.15 479,771.15 +10.98% 227808 6,695,826.28 1,848,179.13 +38.13% 3/24/2013 229824 7,672,999.92 977,173.64 +14.59% 231840 8,974,296.01 1,301,296.09 +16.96% 233856 10,076,292.88 1,101,996.87 +12.28% 235872 11,187,257.46 1,110,964.58 +11.03% 237888 12,153,411.70 966,154.24 +8.64% 239904 15,605,632.68 3,452,220.98 +28.41% 6/5/2013 241920 19,339,258.27 3,733,625.59 +23.92% 243936 21,335,329.11 1,996,070.84 +10.32% 245952 26,162,875.68 4,827,546.57 +22.63% 7/11/2013 248417 31,256,960.72 5,094,085.04 +19.47% 7/25/2013

If you want to mine Bitcoin, get an ASIC.
If you just want to mine, then research alternate crypto-coins, and then mine them... then trade them for Bitcoins.

Yup, even with a GENEROUS 15% per 11 day diff increase these things will only make .44 BTC in their lifetime ( starting at currently difficulty of 31.3m)
The difficulty will increase 8000% in less than a year? eek! Bring on the 3,147,570,617 difficulty! I'll stick to mining alt-coins and exchanging them lol

Because you read an one-page press-release and you've assumed that it is a true and complete description of the underlying business relationship and an executive summary of the non-public business contract between two entities not traded on exchange and not subject to the disclosure regulations. *cringe* Technically this one-page letter was an exact equivalent of bitfury making an one-line post "reserved" under the opening posts anouncing the products based on his chips. http://www.wikihow.com/Use-the-Word-An

It's pointless to mine with that computer. You'd be better off looking for giveaways, doing a paid chat, or clicking on faucets if you want to get your hands on some BTC.
You could always try PrimeCoin though if you want to burn up that CPU.

The last LA satoshi square was like 1/3 female.
LA women must be smarter than average. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It think he meant there was a third of a female. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Hopefully it was the middle third... ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

But do transsexuals use Bitcoin?!
What about hermaphrodites?!
Any eunuchs out there?!
*screams loudly to himself*

Well, there won't really be a shopping cart until Stage 2.
This is not your typical Marketplace and it will be a first (as far as I can tell) amongst the Bitcoin community.
My idea is to take BTC and all Cryptsy tradeable alt-coins from the beginning, but it's not really a "click here to buy this" type site.
