I still think that Ukraine committed a great stupidity by not making an unconditional surrender in March last year. Ukraine did not have, does not have and will not have a chance in confrontation with Russia. Any tactical success is simply an increase in the number of deadweight losses and an increase in the amount of debt to Western countries, for which future generations will have to pay.
You seem to be very confident about Russia abilities to continue war for many years with unlimited number of tanks, missiles human power and etc. And at the same time you understimate West. Things like Himars is cool, but in general, NATO countries gave to Ukraine things that they don't need themelves. Like tanks from soviet era, post WW2 howitzers. But they aren't getting things what would be real game changer like long range missiles for HIMARS, combat aircrafts and etc. There is so much noise about air defense systems or Leopard tanks because West still fear to ''escalate conflict. But Ukraine achieved a lot already with things that they have.

Finally Bundesliga returns, we had last game there more than 2 months ago and these months looked like forever. And what a great first game after return - Leipzig - Bayern. I already left my prediction for it, just in case if I will forget to do it on Friday.
Remember when we discussed about Bayern looking replacement for Neuer. So, after all, it seems that it will be Yan Sommer, he will move to Bayern for €8m. I think he deserved to get chance in such club like Bayern, but for me it would be very interesting to see Livakovic there.

It is official now for F1.

The Chinese GP has not been replaced and the calendar is now official.

Source: https://twitter.com/F1/status/1615318206704394241

23 races, starting in 2 month ish.
It'sa bit sad that they didn't replaced China with track like Portimao or Istanbul, but anyway, 23 races is enough. But there is some things which I don't understand in calendar. They will go from Baku to Miami and then back to Imola. And then in June, from Barcelona to Canada and then back to Austria. Wouldn't it make sense to held races in Miami and Canada in a row, especially in terms of logistics. Such things looks strange when F1 is trying to save money and become more eco friendly.
Also, we will have two 1 month breaks - not in August as usual, but in April too. And at the same time we 3 triple header race weekends.
1584  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia/Ukraine, Who is to blame? on: January 16, 2023, 11:51:54 PM
Well, I personally believe, Ukraine should be blamed. They weren't supposed to go to war, with a big brother like Russia in the first place.

Whatever side Ukraine may have taken in the debate, they would have sought out a solution before things got out of hand. They would have recognized that Russia is their big brother and that, due to their superior arsenals and status as one of the world's superpowers, they are capable of annihilating them in a matter of seconds.

Is just like Mexico, wanting to go to war with USA, we all know the result will be catastrophic for Mexico. Today, no Russian city has been scratched, but I cannot say thesame for Ukraine.
LOL, what a deep insight. ''They weren't supposed to go to war, with a big brother like Russia in the first place.'' Maybe I don't know something, but did Ukraine declared war to Russia? I just remind you that in early morning of 24th February Putin declared beginning of ''special military operation'' in Ukraine.
Recognizing Russia as big brother? So, pretty much let Russia to take slice of whole territory of Ukraine whenever they want, install puppet government and simply end history of Ukraine as independent state. It would be something like letting neighbour into you home, then he kick you out, change door locks and you become homeless.
''No Russsian city has been scratched''. Well, maybe it's because Ukraine didn't started this war, they're not agressor and they don't have plans to occupy territory of Russia?
1585  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: January 16, 2023, 11:40:05 PM
Wagner is volunteers mainly from among the former prisoners. I don’t care what they believe and whether they believe in anything at all, I am of the opinion that the exchange of Wagnerites for Ukrainians, which has been taking place in the Artyomovsk direction for several months during fierce street battles, is beneficial for Russia and unprofitable for Ukraine.
Just classic. ''Nazis'' in Ukraine is terrible thing, but everything is ok when criminals like serial killers, pedophilles, rapers and etc is fighting on your side. Many of time had lifteime sentences. Lifes of these peoples don't have big value in Russia, but I just remind that if they will be lucky enough to comeback alive from Ukraine, they won't get back in prisons and I'm just wondering how they will integrate in your society.

Yeah, I got it, everyone thinks he'll be suited at Arsenal because they're playing a lot better than everyone else at the moment, well form is temporary but class is permanent, I haven't really watched him play but he's currently the fastest player in the league looking at his previous speed stats and from what I've seen he likes to be on the move, and I think he'd do well in a team like Chelsea who play counter attacking football unlike Arsenal ( possessive football)

With the quality we have on the wings now, he will easily walk into our IX if he performs well. Pulisic and Ziyech's future is uncertain after this season; they are part of our problems.
Harkorede posted my minds pretty much. I also think that he would fit for Arsenal more, but you have good point about Chelsea style of play. Shakhtar in Champions/Europa league also played counter attacking football, rather than possesive football. But I just don't think that Mudryk's position was most problematic in Chelsea that had to spend 100 millions for him.
I don't agree with argument that ''player who wants to ball will ball no matter where he finds himself''. If it would be true, there wouldn't be so many bad transfers when player i new club fail to show what he used to show in his previous club. For example, not every player can perform well in clubs managed by Simeone or Mourinho. Or opposite, sometimes manager simply don't have enough competence to use strong sides of player, like when he let him to play not in his prime position.

Yeah, that Benzema goal saved my BTTS bet too. That moment when I don't mind Real scoring against us. Maybe Supercopa isn't most prestigous trophy, but it was very needed for Barca. We haven't won any trophy for a while and also struggled against Real in games that matters. Gavi delivered another brilliant performance and my brains just don't accept fact that this kid is still just 18 years old.
And f*ck you, Atletico!

Derby de Lisboa was great game, it's a bit sad that I was able to watch it only on second screen. Sporting were leading twice, but both times Benfica were able to respond. So, it ended 2:2. I think it's bad result for both teams. Draw let Braga and Porto to reduce gap to Benfica, while Sporting getting just 1 point means that they're getting more far away from reaching top 3.
Porto 4:1 Famalicao. Not much what to say about this game. It's a bit sad that beautiful Taremi goal got called off because of handball. He caught goalkeeper not ready and made shot from maybe 35 metres:

What do you guys think about Mudryk's transfer to Chelsea? I'm afraid that it can become story of another wasted talent. It feels that Chelsea desperately wanted to buy him to net let Arsenal to sign him. I hope that I'm wrong, but I really wanted to see him in Arsenal and I think that going to gunners would be much better deal for both club and player.

Back to pool - Hhampuz is simply killing this round. 23.5 points already with 2 games remaining. Yeah, this round have a bit more games, but I think it's best performance this season. My congratulations with yellow cap in advance.

Arsenal for me is already the Champion of Premier League, having won today game that easy against Tottenham and having 8 points distance from Manchester City I think they are very calm now and will take any game with serenity and caution, they should do well to not underestimate even a single game even when they are playing against the bottom of the table otherwise they put their title win at big risk.
I think it's way to early to say such things. It's 8 points already, but in league like EPL it's not that much. Especially considering that's just 20th round and we have almost half of season remaining. Though, I think that this season Arsenal have everything to become champions.
1590  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: January 15, 2023, 12:46:53 AM
For those who are saying that Russian economy is doing fine: Their budget deficit in 2022 was 3.35 trillion rubles or $47.3 billion. Only year when it was worse was covid affected 2020. But everything is fine, nothing didn't happened and only Europe is freezing to cold this winter
https://t.me/donbasscase/10205

Russian general "Armageddon" Surovikin, who was supposed to turn the shitshow around but ended up giving up Kherson and wasting missiles on transformers, has been demoted from the position of the commander of the "special operation". The new commander is Valery Gerasimov (Chief of the General Staff), who seems to get a lot of hate in the Z-channels for alleged corruption and incompetence. I doubt this will improve anything for the Russian forces. Maybe Gerasimov will be the fall guy.
Also, they promoted Aleksandr Lapin to cheff of Ground Forces. I just remind that Lapin got lot of hate in Russia after retreat from Lyman

As I understand it, a cauldron was formed there for at least 400 fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who heroically continue to resist without much chance of success after losing control over the dominant height. Good job Wagner.
After long months of negative success and some glorious retreats, Russia finally achieved something... Do you still dream about taking Kyiv?
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: January 15, 2023, 12:23:44 AM
Ajax @1.4 for a home win in Ere does tell you a lot about opponent and their form, even bookies believe Twente has some chances today

but, I do think that Ajax is going to win today, Twente is good, but they will take them seriously and probably score fast, which can determine the match, nevertheless, I would prefer goals to Ajax win in my bet
Odds for Ajax win looked too low for me, so, I decided to go with over 2.5 goals. But after all, Ajax didn't won and there was no goals scored. It sounds incredible, but it's already 5th game in a row for Ajax without a win in Eeredivisie. Probably it's their worst achievement in amany years. Didn't watched this game, but from stats it looks that Twente dominated game completely. I guess it's related with Ajax red card on 35th minute.
Great chance for Feyenoord to increase their lead to 4 points if they will beat Groningen.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euroleague 2022/23 Season on: January 15, 2023, 12:13:41 AM
Anadolou Efes managed to beat Barcelona again, this time at Palau Blaugrana. And maybe final score shows that it was close game, it actually wasn't. Efes dominated game, big part of it having solid lead and Barca got closer only in 4th quarter. Something is just going wrong for Barca this season.
Partizan got very solid win against Baskonia. Just few weeks ago Baskonia were leading table and now they are just 6th after few loses. It's incredible how everything is close this season. There is 3 wins between 1st and 10th place and 3 wins between 8th and 15th. Few wins or losess in a row can change your situation fundamentally.
BTW, there was news that Kemba Walker is going to join Olimpia Milan, but seems it's not true at all:
https://basketnews.com/news-183792-kemba-walkers-reported-deal-with-milan-completely-untrue.html
Anyway, I doubt that signing him would help Milan to reach playoffs.

My prediction that Basque derby will be not high scoring game didn't aged well. Very solid Sociedad and that red card in 2nd half killed all chances for Athletic to make an comeback.

El Clasico in Supercopa final tomorrow. There is no favorite and nobody will be surprised if it will be typical not most beautiful final which will lead to extra time and penalties. Barca don't have good results against Real in recent seasons, but I hope that time fianlly come to end trophy drought, even if Supercopa isn't most prestigious trophy. It's so good that Lewandowski ban doesn't count in this tournament and he is able to play there.

You're right, but my reasoning was about predicting by the rules of the pool. It doesn't matter whether you guessed the victory of the favorite (which is statistically easy to do) or the victory of the outsider (which is a much rarer occurrence), you get the same 1-1.5-3 points. Therefore, if we are not talking about money bets, where the odds allow you to make profitable bets on outsiders, but about the pool, then the choice of the favorite is basically obvious.
Yeah, when it comes to pools, going against favorites isn't beneficial in long term. You can get 1.5-3 points few times, but more likely that you will lose only. You can gain most in 50/50 games where people have different predictions of outcome and not 95% of pool backing favorite.
1594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 14, 2023, 10:04:22 PM
Juventus' winning streak gave the impression that they were back in business, but objectively speaking they won difficult victories, mostly with minimal scores, even against outsiders. So yesterday's defeat put everything in its place.
The number of goals conceded, of course, surprised - before that, Juventus conceded 7 goals in 17 games  Grin

By the way, Milan - what kind of losers? Another loss of points and now Napoli are ahead by 9 points! I don't know what has to happen for them to miss out on the championship.
These difficult minimal wins of Juventusgave flashbacks to last decade when they achieved most of their Scudetto's in similar way, without playing fancy football. But personally, I didn't felt that they back on track, I actually expected that they can sack Allegri after fiasco in Champions league.
Didn't watched Milan game, noticed result when they were 2:0 down already.
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 14, 2023, 07:35:22 PM
Sevilla showed signs of recovery last round, but today they lost to Girona and it doesn't even comes as surprise. Had BTTS on this game. Yesterday I managed to spend my free bet from yellow cap well - made bet on BTTS in Celta - Villarreal game @1.89.
Next we have Basque derby between Real Sociedad - Athletic. Looking at results of both teams and their defense, probably we can't expect many goals. So, I'm going with over 1.5 goals @1.55. Nothing special. In superbru my prediction is 1:1.
BTW, Saint-loup is running away. He already got 10 points from all 4 games played so far and now his lead is already 8.5 points

Hm... Why?   Smiley Real Madrid have won 12 out of 16 games in La Liga and 4 out of 6 in the Champions League - in any case, it is beneficial to choose Real as the winner. If we are talking about betting on money, then of course, from time to time there are situations when it is more profitable to bet against Real Madrid, but in this format of the competition there are simply no options other than betting on Real Madrid.
And most of their games had odds like 1.10. So, to get significant profit you have to put big stakes. And every their loss will cost you big part of your bankroll. It's more painful to lose one big bet with 1.10 odds than few smaller ones with odds something like 1.60-1.70. But some people manage to make profits with such strategy.
1596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 13, 2023, 09:36:59 PM
Heck. Di Maria ruined my accurate prediction (2-0). Judging by the game, I'm even unlikely to get 1.5 points, since most likely in the second half we will see a few more goals scored. It is a pity that Juventus played one goal so quickly - if the first half ended with a score of 2-0, then everything would be clear to everyone, but now we are waiting validol in the second half.
After all, nobody will get more than 1 point from this game and there was no validol ending. That Di Maria goal wasn't factor at all. Napoli was simply on fire today and another brilliant performance from Kvaratskhelia. I had Napoli ML with bet boost @2.09, but after their game with Inter I didn't had that much confidence. And especially after looking in recent Juve results, it was very difficult to predict such big outcome. Today they conceded more goals than maybe in last 10 official games combined.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 IHF Men's World Handball Championship on: January 13, 2023, 07:19:59 PM
I watched a bit of Germany - Qatar game and I was surprised that Qatar have such good level team. But then I looked that Qatar is strongest team in Asia in recent years, so maybe such performance isn't surprising. Any way, they lost game, Germany had control of game, most part of game having few goals lead.
Morocco lost to USA and it's first big surprise so far. Don't follow handball that much to put bets on unders/overs, so, I simply go with Croatia ML.

It's supposed to make new members doesn't know their real username, of course the old members already know which is real username especially if they're active in a same section. Maybe their real username has a code or link with their real life, so they're want to break it.

I usually tell friends: "It's on the Internet, it's in the World."
Once something is put online, it will never leave. It can fall into oblivion, stop being associated with something, or any other situation. But it will continue to exist forever.

That said, each one should take the measures they feel are necessary for their situation.
It's probably better solution than do nothing. Even if it won't improve your privacy significantly. But for someone who have serious intentions to find information about you, it will take just few minutes to find it.
Anyway, I don't question decisions of users to change their usernames. Everyone has their own reasons and it's ok, as long as it doesn't makes any harm for community.

If yesterday I said that Real - Valencia was great game, I probably used wrong word. Because today's semifinal was great game, Real - Valencia was just good.
Both teams played high level football and even in last minutes and in extra time they didn't tried to save score and tried to win game without going to penalties. And in penalty shootout Ter Stegen was just great. Pedri goal was disallowed after minimal offside. Without VAR it would be impossible to notice it. Maybe sometimes such offsides looks ridiculous, but rules are rules.
So, we will have El Clasico in the final on Sunday.

not a fan of Spanish teams playing abroad, but money is there to push it through, and there is nothing one can do about it

not sure if there is interest from other league to play their matches abroad, but La Liga teams are in financial meltdown, and they have to do anything to put their financials in better position, VCF as well, being down more than 400 million EUR atm
I'm not big fan too, but it's all about the money and probably it's difficult to deny such generous offers. IIRC, Italy and maybe France also played their Supercups abroad.
There was plans to play some La Liga games in USA, but after they got lot of hate from Spanish fans, they refused to do it.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 11, 2023, 10:19:20 PM
So, Valencia lost in semifinal to Real after penalties. It was great game and it's good that we got maximum from it. But when it comes to penalties, when you see players like Benzema, Modric or Kroos going to take it, it's so difficult to expect that they will miss, unless goalkeeper will do miracles. They have so much experience in such games that's just another day in office for them. While Valencia players didn't looked confident there. Sorry for a loss, casperBGD
2nd semifinal Barca - Betis tomorrow, it should be great game and similar scenario like today wouldn't be surprise. Though, I obviously would prefer Barca win in 90 minutes Cheesy.
